40:41
۞وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
wayaqawmi
And O my people
مَا
ma
What (is)
لِيٓ
li
for me
أَدۡعُوكُمۡ
ad'ukum
(that) I call you
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلنَّجَوٰةِ
al-najati
the salvation
وَتَدۡعُونَنِيٓ
watad'unani
while you call me
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
٤١
40:42
تَدۡعُونَنِي
tad'unani
You call me
لِأَكۡفُرَ
li-akfura
that I disbelieve
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَأُشۡرِكَ
wa-ush'rika
and (to) associate
بِهِۦ
bihi
with Him
مَا
ma
what
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لِي
li
for me
بِهِۦ
bihi
of it
عِلۡمٞ
il'mun
any knowledge
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ana
and I
أَدۡعُوكُمۡ
ad'ukum
call you
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلۡعَزِيزِ
al-'azizi
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡغَفَّٰرِ
al-ghafari
the Oft-Forgiving
٤٢
40:43
لَا
la
No
جَرَمَ
jarama
doubt
أَنَّمَا
annama
that what
تَدۡعُونَنِيٓ
tad'unani
you call me
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
to it
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لَهُۥ
lahu
for it
دَعۡوَةٞ
da'watun
a claim
فِي
fi
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
the world
وَلَا
wala
and not
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
وَأَنَّ
wa-anna
and that
مَرَدَّنَآ
maraddana
our return
إِلَى
ila
(is) to
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَأَنَّ
wa-anna
and that
ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ
al-mus'rifina
the transgressors
هُمۡ
hum
they
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(will be the) companions
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
٤٣
40:44
فَسَتَذۡكُرُونَ
fasatadhkuruna
And you will remember
مَآ
ma
what
أَقُولُ
aqulu
I say
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum
to you
وَأُفَوِّضُ
wa-ufawwidu
and I entrust
أَمۡرِيٓ
amri
my affair
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
Allah
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
بَصِيرُۢ
basirun
(is) All-Seer
بِٱلۡعِبَادِ
bil-'ibadi
of (His) slaves
٤٤
40:45
فَوَقَىٰهُ
fawaqahu
So Allah protected him
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
So Allah protected him
سَيِّـَٔاتِ
sayyiati
(from the) evils
مَا
ma
that
مَكَرُواْۖ
makaru
they plotted
وَحَاقَ
wahaqa
and enveloped
بِـَٔالِ
biali
(the) people
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
(of) Firaun
سُوٓءُ
suu
(the) worst
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
punishment
٤٥
40:46
ٱلنَّارُ
al-naru
The Fire
يُعۡرَضُونَ
yu'raduna
they are exposed
عَلَيۡهَا
alayha
to it
غُدُوّٗا
ghuduwwan
morning
وَعَشِيّٗاۚ
wa'ashiyyan
and evening
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
And (the) Day
تَقُومُ
taqumu
(will be) established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ
al-sa'atu
the Hour
أَدۡخِلُوٓاْ
adkhilu
Cause to enter
ءَالَ
ala
(the) people
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
(of) Firaun
أَشَدَّ
ashadda
(in the) severest
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
punishment
٤٦
40:47
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
يَتَحَآجُّونَ
yatahajjuna
they will dispute
فِي
fi
in
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
فَيَقُولُ
fayaqulu
then will say
ٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُاْ
al-du'afau
the weak
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
to those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
is'takbaru
were arrogant
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
كُنَّا
kunna
[we] were
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
تَبَعٗا
taba'an
followers
فَهَلۡ
fahal
so can
أَنتُم
antum
you
مُّغۡنُونَ
mugh'nuna
avert
عَنَّا
anna
from us
نَصِيبٗا
nasiban
a portion
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
٤٧
40:48
قَالَ
qala
Will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
is'takbaru
(were) arrogant
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
كُلّٞ
kullun
all
فِيهَآ
fiha
(are) in it
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
قَدۡ
qad
certainly
حَكَمَ
hakama
has judged
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ٱلۡعِبَادِ
al-'ibadi
(His) slaves
٤٨
40:49
وَقَالَ
waqala
And will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those
فِي
fi
in
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
لِخَزَنَةِ
likhazanati
to (the) keepers
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
(of) Hell
ٱدۡعُواْ
id'u
Call
رَبَّكُمۡ
rabbakum
your Lord
يُخَفِّفۡ
yukhaffif
(to) lighten
عَنَّا
anna
for us
يَوۡمٗا
yawman
a day
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
the punishment
٤٩

قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
They (will) say
أَوَلَمۡ
awalam
Did there not
تَكُ
taku
Did there not
تَأۡتِيكُمۡ
tatikum
come to you
رُسُلُكُم
rusulukum
your Messengers
بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِۖ
bil-bayinati
with clear proofs
قَالُواْ
qalu
They (will) say
بَلَىٰۚ
bala
Yes
قَالُواْ
qalu
They (will) say
فَٱدۡعُواْۗ
fa-id'u
Then call
وَمَا
wama
but not
دُعَٰٓؤُاْ
du'au
(is the) call
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
al-kafirina
(of) the disbelievers
إِلَّا
illa
except
فِي
fi
in
ضَلَٰلٍ
dalalin
error
٥٠
40:51
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed We
لَنَنصُرُ
lanansuru
We will surely help
رُسُلَنَا
rusulana
Our Messengers
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
and (on the) Day
يَقُومُ
yaqumu
(when) will stand
ٱلۡأَشۡهَٰدُ
al-ashhadu
the witnesses
٥١
40:52
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
لَا
la
not
يَنفَعُ
yanfa'u
will benefit
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
مَعۡذِرَتُهُمۡۖ
ma'dhiratuhum
their excuse
وَلَهُمُ
walahumu
and for them
ٱللَّعۡنَةُ
al-la'natu
(is) the curse
وَلَهُمۡ
walahum
and for them
سُوٓءُ
suu
(is the) worst
ٱلدَّارِ
al-dari
home

40:53
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
ءَاتَيۡنَا
atayna
We gave
مُوسَى
musa
Musa
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ
al-huda
the guidance
وَأَوۡرَثۡنَا
wa-awrathna
and We caused to inherit
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(the) Children of Israel
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
٥٣
40:54
هُدٗى
hudan
A guide
وَذِكۡرَىٰ
wadhik'ra
and a reminder
لِأُوْلِي
li-uli
for those
ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
al-albabi
(of) understanding
٥٤
40:55
فَٱصۡبِرۡ
fa-is'bir
So be patient
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
وَعۡدَ
wa'da
(the) Promise of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(the) Promise of Allah
حَقّٞ
haqqun
(is) true
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
wa-is'taghfir
And ask forgiveness
لِذَنۢبِكَ
lidhanbika
for your sin
وَسَبِّحۡ
wasabbih
and glorify
بِحَمۡدِ
bihamdi
(the) praise
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ
bil-'ashiyi
in the evening
وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ
wal-ib'kari
and the morning
٥٥
40:56
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ
yujadiluna
dispute
فِيٓ
fi
concerning
ءَايَٰتِ
ayati
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
سُلۡطَٰنٍ
sul'tanin
any authority
أَتَىٰهُمۡ
atahum
(which) came to them
إِن
in
not
فِي
fi
(is) in
صُدُورِهِمۡ
sudurihim
their breasts
إِلَّا
illa
but
كِبۡرٞ
kib'run
greatness
مَّا
ma
not
هُم
hum
they
بِبَٰلِغِيهِۚ
bibalighihi
(can) reach it
فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ
fa-is'ta'idh
So seek refuge
بِٱللَّهِۖ
bil-lahi
in Allah
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
al-sami'u
(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
al-basiru
the All-Seer
٥٦
40:57
لَخَلۡقُ
lakhalqu
Surely (the) creation
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ardi
and the earth
أَكۡبَرُ
akbaru
(is) greater
مِنۡ
min
than
خَلۡقِ
khalqi
(the) creation
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the mankind
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
٥٧
40:58
وَمَا
wama
And not
يَسۡتَوِي
yastawi
(are) equal
ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ
al-a'ma
the blind
وَٱلۡبَصِيرُ
wal-basiru
and the seeing
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa'amilu
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
وَلَا
wala
and not
ٱلۡمُسِيٓءُۚ
al-musiu
the evildoer
قَلِيلٗا
qalilan
Little
مَّا
ma
(is) what
تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
tatadhakkaruna
you take heed

إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
al-sa'ata
the Hour
لَأٓتِيَةٞ
laatiyatun
(is) surely coming
لَّا
la
no
رَيۡبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
لَا
la
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
٥٩
40:60
وَقَالَ
waqala
And said
رَبُّكُمُ
rabbukumu
your Lord
ٱدۡعُونِيٓ
id'uni
Call upon Me
أَسۡتَجِبۡ
astajib
I will respond
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum
to you
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
yastakbiruna
(are) proud
عَنۡ
an
to
عِبَادَتِي
ibadati
worship Me
سَيَدۡخُلُونَ
sayadkhuluna
will enter
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell
دَاخِرِينَ
dakhirina
(in) humiliation
٦٠
40:61
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
ja'ala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلَّيۡلَ
al-layla
the night
لِتَسۡكُنُواْ
litaskunu
that you may rest
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
wal-nahara
and the day
مُبۡصِرًاۚ
mub'siran
giving visibility
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَذُو
ladhu
(is) Full (of) Bounty
فَضۡلٍ
fadlin
(is) Full (of) Bounty
عَلَى
ala
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the people
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَ
akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
لَا
la
(do) not
يَشۡكُرُونَ
yashkuruna
give thanks
٦١
40:62
ذَٰلِكُمُ
dhalikumu
That
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمۡ
rabbukum
your Lord
خَٰلِقُ
khaliqu
(the) Creator
كُلِّ
kulli
(of) all
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
things
لَّآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
except
هُوَۖ
huwa
Him
فَأَنَّىٰ
fa-anna
So how
تُؤۡفَكُونَ
tu'fakuna
are you deluded
٦٢
40:63
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يُؤۡفَكُ
yu'faku
were deluded
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biayati
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
يَجۡحَدُونَ
yajhaduna
rejecting
٦٣
40:64
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
جَعَلَ
ja'ala
made
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
al-arda
the earth
قَرَارٗا
qararan
a place of settlement
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ
wal-samaa
and the sky
بِنَآءٗ
binaan
a canopy
وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ
wasawwarakum
and He formed you
فَأَحۡسَنَ
fa-ahsana
and perfected
صُوَرَكُمۡ
suwarakum
your forms
وَرَزَقَكُم
warazaqakum
and provided you
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِۚ
al-tayibati
the good things
ذَٰلِكُمُ
dhalikumu
That
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّكُمۡۖ
rabbukum
your Lord
فَتَبَارَكَ
fatabaraka
Then blessed (is)
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
رَبُّ
rabbu
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٦٤
40:65
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلۡحَيُّ
al-hayu
(is) the Ever-Living
لَآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
but
هُوَ
huwa
He
فَٱدۡعُوهُ
fa-id'uhu
so call Him
مُخۡلِصِينَ
mukh'lisina
(being) sincere
لَهُ
lahu
to Him
ٱلدِّينَۗ
al-dina
(in) the religion
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
al-hamdu
All praise (be)
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
to Allah
رَبِّ
rabbi
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٦٥
