۞أَوَلَمۡ
awalam
Do not
يَرَوۡاْ
yaraw
they see
أَنَّ
anna
that
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arda
and the earth
قَادِرٌ
qadirun
(is) Able
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
[on]
أَن
an
to
يَخۡلُقَ
yakhluqa
create
مِثۡلَهُمۡ
mith'lahum
the like of them
وَجَعَلَ
waja'ala
And He has made
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
أَجَلٗا
ajalan
a term
لَّا
la
no
رَيۡبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
فَأَبَى
fa-aba
But refused
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
al-zalimuna
the wrongdoers
إِلَّا
illa
except
كُفُورٗا
kufuran
disbelief
٩٩
17:100
قُل
qul
Say
لَّوۡ
law
If
أَنتُمۡ
antum
you
تَمۡلِكُونَ
tamlikuna
possess
خَزَآئِنَ
khazaina
the treasures
رَحۡمَةِ
rahmati
(of) the Mercy
رَبِّيٓ
rabbi
(of) my Lord
إِذٗا
idhan
then
لَّأَمۡسَكۡتُمۡ
la-amsaktum
surely you would withhold
خَشۡيَةَ
khashyata
(out of) fear
ٱلۡإِنفَاقِۚ
al-infaqi
(of) spending
وَكَانَ
wakana
And is
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
man
قَتُورٗا
qaturan
stingy
١٠٠
17:101
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
ءَاتَيۡنَا
atayna
We had given
مُوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
تِسۡعَ
tis'a
nine
ءَايَٰتِۭ
ayatin
Signs
بَيِّنَٰتٖۖ
bayyinatin
clear
فَسۡـَٔلۡ
fasal
so ask
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(the) Children of Israel
إِذۡ
idh
when
جَآءَهُمۡ
jaahum
he came to them
فَقَالَ
faqala
then said
لَهُۥ
lahu
to him
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
fir'awnu
Firaun
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I
لَأَظُنُّكَ
la-azunnuka
[I] think you
يَٰمُوسَىٰ
yamusa
O Musa
مَسۡحُورٗا
mashuran
(you are) bewitched
١٠١
17:102
قَالَ
qala
He said
لَقَدۡ
laqad
Verily
عَلِمۡتَ
alim'ta
you have known
مَآ
ma
none
أَنزَلَ
anzala
has sent down
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haulai
these
إِلَّا
illa
except
رَبُّ
rabbu
(the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ardi
and the earth
بَصَآئِرَ
basaira
(as) evidence
وَإِنِّي
wa-inni
and indeed I
لَأَظُنُّكَ
la-azunnuka
[I] surely think you
يَٰفِرۡعَوۡنُ
yafir'awnu
O Firaun
مَثۡبُورٗا
mathburan
(you are) destroyed
١٠٢
17:103
فَأَرَادَ
fa-arada
So he intended
أَن
an
to
يَسۡتَفِزَّهُم
yastafizzahum
drive them out
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
فَأَغۡرَقۡنَٰهُ
fa-aghraqnahu
but We drowned him
وَمَن
waman
and who
مَّعَهُۥ
ma'ahu
(were) with him
جَمِيعٗا
jami'an
all
١٠٣
17:104
وَقُلۡنَا
waqul'na
And We said
مِنۢ
min
after him
بَعۡدِهِۦ
ba'dihi
after him
لِبَنِيٓ
libani
to the Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
to the Children of Israel
ٱسۡكُنُواْ
us'kunu
Dwell
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
al-arda
(in) the land
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
then when
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
وَعۡدُ
wa'du
(the) promise
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
(of) the Hereafter
جِئۡنَا
ji'na
We will bring
بِكُمۡ
bikum
you
لَفِيفٗا
lafifan
(as) a mixed crowd

17:105
وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ
wabil-haqi
And with the truth
أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ
anzalnahu
We sent it down
وَبِٱلۡحَقِّ
wabil-haqi
and with the truth
نَزَلَۗ
nazala
it descended
وَمَآ
wama
And not
أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ
arsalnaka
We sent you
إِلَّا
illa
except
مُبَشِّرٗا
mubashiran
(as) a bearer of glad tidings
وَنَذِيرٗا
wanadhiran
and a warner
١٠٥
17:106
وَقُرۡءَانٗا
waqur'anan
And the Quran
فَرَقۡنَٰهُ
faraqnahu
We have divided
لِتَقۡرَأَهُۥ
litaqra-ahu
that you might recite it
عَلَى
ala
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the people
عَلَىٰ
ala
at
مُكۡثٖ
muk'thin
intervals
وَنَزَّلۡنَٰهُ
wanazzalnahu
And We have revealed it
تَنزِيلٗا
tanzilan
(in) stages
١٠٦
17:107
قُلۡ
qul
Say
ءَامِنُواْ
aminu
Believe
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
in it
أَوۡ
aw
or
لَا
la
(do) not
تُؤۡمِنُوٓاْۚ
tu'minu
believe
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُوتُواْ
utu
were given
ٱلۡعِلۡمَ
al-'il'ma
the knowledge
مِن
min
before it
قَبۡلِهِۦٓ
qablihi
before it
إِذَا
idha
when
يُتۡلَىٰ
yut'la
it is recited
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
to them
يَخِرُّونَۤ
yakhirruna
they fall
لِلۡأَذۡقَانِۤ
lil'adhqani
on their faces
سُجَّدٗاۤ
sujjadan
(in) prostration
١٠٧
17:108
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaquluna
And they say
سُبۡحَٰنَ
sub'hana
Glory be to
رَبِّنَآ
rabbina
our Lord
إِن
in
Indeed
كَانَ
kana
is
وَعۡدُ
wa'du
(the) promise
رَبِّنَا
rabbina
(of) our Lord
لَمَفۡعُولٗا
lamaf'ulan
surely fulfilled
١٠٨
17:109
وَيَخِرُّونَ
wayakhirruna
And they fall
لِلۡأَذۡقَانِ
lil'adhqani
on their faces
يَبۡكُونَ
yabkuna
weeping
وَيَزِيدُهُمۡ
wayaziduhum
and it increases them
خُشُوعٗا۩
khushu'an
(in) humility
١٠٩
17:110
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱدۡعُواْ
id'u
Invoke
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
أَوِ
awi
or
ٱدۡعُواْ
id'u
invoke
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنَۖ
al-rahmana
the Most Gracious
أَيّٗا
ayyan
By whatever (name)
مَّا
ma
By whatever (name)
تَدۡعُواْ
tad'u
you invoke
فَلَهُ
falahu
to Him (belongs)
ٱلۡأَسۡمَآءُ
al-asmau
the Most Beautiful Names
ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ
al-hus'na
the Most Beautiful Names
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَجۡهَرۡ
tajhar
be loud
بِصَلَاتِكَ
bisalatika
in your prayers
وَلَا
wala
and not
تُخَافِتۡ
tukhafit
be silent
بِهَا
biha
therein
وَٱبۡتَغِ
wa-ib'taghi
but seek
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
سَبِيلٗا
sabilan
a way
١١٠
17:111
وَقُلِ
waquli
And say
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
al-hamdu
All Praise
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
(is) for Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
لَمۡ
lam
has not taken
يَتَّخِذۡ
yattakhidh
has not taken
وَلَدٗا
waladan
a son
وَلَمۡ
walam
and not
يَكُن
yakun
is
لَّهُۥ
lahu
for Him
شَرِيكٞ
sharikun
a partner
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡمُلۡكِ
al-mul'ki
the dominion
وَلَمۡ
walam
and not
يَكُن
yakun
is
لَّهُۥ
lahu
for Him
وَلِيّٞ
waliyyun
any protector
مِّنَ
mina
out of
ٱلذُّلِّۖ
al-dhuli
weakness
وَكَبِّرۡهُ
wakabbir'hu
And magnify Him
تَكۡبِيرَۢا
takbiran
(with all) magnificence

18:1
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
al-hamdu
All Praise
لِلَّهِ
lillahi
(is) for Allah
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
the One Who
أَنزَلَ
anzala
(has) revealed
عَلَىٰ
ala
to
عَبۡدِهِ
abdihi
His slave
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
وَلَمۡ
walam
and not
يَجۡعَل
yaj'al
(has) made
لَّهُۥ
lahu
in it
عِوَجَاۜ
iwaja
any crookedness
١
18:2
قَيِّمٗا
qayyiman
Straight
لِّيُنذِرَ
liyundhira
to warn
بَأۡسٗا
basan
(of) a punishment
شَدِيدٗا
shadidan
severe
مِّن
min
from
لَّدُنۡهُ
ladun'hu
near Him
وَيُبَشِّرَ
wayubashira
and give glad tidings
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
al-mu'minina
(to) the believers
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
al-salihati
righteous deeds
أَنَّ
anna
that
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
أَجۡرًا
ajran
(is) a good reward
حَسَنٗا
hasanan
(is) a good reward
٢
18:3
مَّٰكِثِينَ
makithina
(They will) abide
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
أَبَدٗا
abadan
forever
٣
18:4
وَيُنذِرَ
wayundhira
And to warn
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
قَالُواْ
qalu
say
ٱتَّخَذَ
ittakhadha
Allah has taken
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah has taken
وَلَدٗا
waladan
a son
٤

مَّا
ma
Not
لَهُم
lahum
they have
بِهِۦ
bihi
about it
مِنۡ
min
any
عِلۡمٖ
il'min
knowledge
وَلَا
wala
and not
لِأٓبَآئِهِمۡۚ
liabaihim
their forefathers
كَبُرَتۡ
kaburat
Mighty (is)
كَلِمَةٗ
kalimatan
the word
تَخۡرُجُ
takhruju
(that) comes out
مِنۡ
min
of
أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡۚ
afwahihim
their mouths
إِن
in
Not
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
they say
إِلَّا
illa
except
كَذِبٗا
kadhiban
a lie
٥
18:6
فَلَعَلَّكَ
fala'allaka
Then perhaps you would (be)
بَٰخِعٞ
bakhi'un
the one who kills
نَّفۡسَكَ
nafsaka
yourself
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
over
ءَاثَٰرِهِمۡ
atharihim
their footsteps
إِن
in
if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يُؤۡمِنُواْ
yu'minu
they believe
بِهَٰذَا
bihadha
in this
ٱلۡحَدِيثِ
al-hadithi
[the] narration
أَسَفًا
asafan
(in) grief
٦
18:7
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed We
جَعَلۡنَا
ja'alna
We have made
مَا
ma
what
عَلَى
ala
(is) on
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
زِينَةٗ
zinatan
adornment
لَّهَا
laha
for it
لِنَبۡلُوَهُمۡ
linabluwahum
that We may test [them]
أَيُّهُمۡ
ayyuhum
which of them
أَحۡسَنُ
ahsanu
(is) best
عَمَلٗا
amalan
(in) deed
٧
18:8
وَإِنَّا
wa-inna
And indeed We
لَجَٰعِلُونَ
laja'iluna
(will) surely make
مَا
ma
what
عَلَيۡهَا
alayha
(is) on it
صَعِيدٗا
sa'idan
soil
جُرُزًا
juruzan
barren
٨
18:9
أَمۡ
am
Or
حَسِبۡتَ
hasib'ta
have you thought
أَنَّ
anna
that
أَصۡحَٰبَ
ashaba
(the) companions
ٱلۡكَهۡفِ
al-kahfi
(of) the cave
وَٱلرَّقِيمِ
wal-raqimi
and the inscription
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
مِنۡ
min
among
ءَايَٰتِنَا
ayatina
Our Signs
عَجَبًا
ajaban
a wonder
٩
18:10
إِذۡ
idh
When
أَوَى
awa
retreated
ٱلۡفِتۡيَةُ
al-fit'yatu
the youths
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلۡكَهۡفِ
al-kahfi
the cave
فَقَالُواْ
faqalu
and they said
رَبَّنَآ
rabbana
Our Lord
ءَاتِنَا
atina
Grant us
مِن
min
from
لَّدُنكَ
ladunka
Yourself
رَحۡمَةٗ
rahmatan
Mercy
وَهَيِّئۡ
wahayyi
and facilitate
لَنَا
lana
for us
مِنۡ
min
[from]
أَمۡرِنَا
amrina
our affair
رَشَدٗا
rashadan
(in the) right way
١٠
18:11
فَضَرَبۡنَا
fadarabna
So We cast
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
over
ءَاذَانِهِمۡ
adhanihim
their ears
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡكَهۡفِ
al-kahfi
the cave
سِنِينَ
sinina
years
عَدَدٗا
adadan
a number
١١
18:12
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
بَعَثۡنَٰهُمۡ
ba'athnahum
We raised them up
لِنَعۡلَمَ
lina'lama
that We make evident
أَيُّ
ayyu
which
ٱلۡحِزۡبَيۡنِ
al-hiz'bayni
(of) the two parties
أَحۡصَىٰ
ahsa
best calculated
لِمَا
lima
for what
لَبِثُوٓاْ
labithu
(they had) remained
أَمَدٗا
amadan
(in) time
١٢
