بَرَآءَةٞ
BARAAAʹATUM
Freedom from obligations
مِّنَ
MINAL
from
ٱللَّهِ
LAAHI
Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ
wa-Rasooliheee
and His Messenger
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those (with) whom
عَٰهَدتُّم
ʻaahattum
you made a covenant
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
Mushrikeen:―
the polytheists
١
9:2
فَسِيحُواْ
Faseeḥoo
So move about
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the land
أَرۡبَعَةَ
ʹarbaʻata
(during) four
أَشۡهُرٖ
ʹashhuriñw
months
وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
waʻlamooo
but know
أَنَّكُمۡ
ʹannakum
that you
غَيۡرُ
g̣ayru
(can) not
مُعۡجِزِي
muʻjizil
escape
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَأَنَّ
wa-ʹannal
and that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مُخۡزِي
mukhzil
(is) the One Who (will) disgrace
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireen.
the disbelievers
٢
9:3
وَأَذَٰنٞ
Wa-ʹaẓaanum
And an announcement
مِّنَ
minal
from Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
from Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ
wa-Rasooliheee
and His Messenger
إِلَى
ʹilan
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the people
يَوۡمَ
yawmal
(on the) day
ٱلۡحَجِّ
Ḥajjil
(of) the greater Pilgrimage
ٱلۡأَكۡبَرِ
ʹAkbari
(of) the greater Pilgrimage
أَنَّ
ʹannal
that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
بَرِيٓءٞ
bareeeʹum
(is) free from obligations
مِّنَ
minal
[of]
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeena
(to) the polytheists
وَرَسُولُهُۥۚ
wa-Rasooluh.
and (so is) His Messenger
فَإِن
Faʹiñ
So if
تُبۡتُمۡ
tubtum
you repent
فَهُوَ
fahuwa
then it is
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
best
لَّكُمۡۖ
lakum:
for you
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
But if
تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ
tawallaytum
you turn away
فَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
faʻlamooo
then know
أَنَّكُمۡ
ʹannakum
that you
غَيۡرُ
g̣ayru
(can) not
مُعۡجِزِي
muʻjizil
escape
ٱللَّهِۗ
laah.
Allah
وَبَشِّرِ
Wa-bashshiril
And give glad tidings
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(to) those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieve
بِعَذَابٍ
biʻaẓaabin
of a punishment
أَلِيمٍ
ʹaleem:
painful
٣
9:4
إِلَّا
ʹIllal
Except
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those (with) whom
عَٰهَدتُّم
ʻaahattum
you have a covenant
مِّنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeena
the polytheists
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَنقُصُوكُمۡ
yañq̣uṣookum
they have failed you
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayʹañw
(in any) thing
وَلَمۡ
walam
and not
يُظَٰهِرُواْ
yuz̤̣aahiroo
they have supported
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
against you
أَحَدٗا
ʹaḥadañ
anyone
فَأَتِمُّوٓاْ
faʹatimmooo
so fulfil
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ʹilayhim
to them
عَهۡدَهُمۡ
ʻahdahum
their treaty
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
till
مُدَّتِهِمۡۚ
muddatihim:
their term
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
loves
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
Muttaq̣een.
the righteous
٤
9:5
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓañ
Then when
ٱنسَلَخَ
salakhal
have passed
ٱلۡأَشۡهُرُ
ʹAshhurul
the sacred months
ٱلۡحُرُمُ
Ḥurumu
the sacred months
فَٱقۡتُلُواْ
faq̣tulul
then kill
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeena
the polytheists
حَيۡثُ
ḥays̤u
wherever
وَجَدتُّمُوهُمۡ
wajattumoohum
you find them
وَخُذُوهُمۡ
wa-khuẓoohum
and seize them
وَٱحۡصُرُوهُمۡ
waḥṣuroohum
and besiege them
وَٱقۡعُدُواْ
waq̣ʻudoo
and sit (in wait)
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
كُلَّ
kulla
(at) every
مَرۡصَدٖۚ
marṣad.
place of ambush
فَإِن
Faʹiñ
But if
تَابُواْ
taaboo
they repent
وَأَقَامُواْ
wa-ʹaq̣aamuṣ
and establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
وَءَاتَوُاْ
wa-ʹaatawuz
and give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
Zakaata
the zakah
فَخَلُّواْ
fakhalloo
then leave
سَبِيلَهُمۡۚ
sabeelahum:
their way
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
٥
9:6
وَإِنۡ
Wa-ʹin
And if
أَحَدٞ
ʹaḥadum
anyone
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeenas
the polytheists
ٱسۡتَجَارَكَ
tajaaraka
seek your protection
فَأَجِرۡهُ
faʹajirhu
then grant him protection
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
يَسۡمَعَ
yasmaʻa
he hears
كَلَٰمَ
Kalaamal
(the) Words of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(the) Words of Allah
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
Then
أَبۡلِغۡهُ
ʹablig̣hu
escort him
مَأۡمَنَهُۥۚ
maʹmanah.
(to) his place of safety
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
biʹannahum
(is) because they
قَوۡمٞ
q̣awmul
(are) a people
لَّا
laa
(who) do not know
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoon.
(who) do not know

كَيۡفَ
Kayfa
How
يَكُونُ
yakoonu
can (there) be
لِلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
lilmushrikeena
for the polytheists
عَهۡدٌ
ʻahdun
a covenant
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
with
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَعِندَ
wa-ʻiñda
and with
رَسُولِهِۦٓ
Rasooliheee
His Messenger
إِلَّا
ʹillal
except
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those (with) whom
عَٰهَدتُّمۡ
ʻaahattum
you made a covenant
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
near
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
Masjidil
Al-Masjid
ٱلۡحَرَامِۖ
Ḥaraam?
Al-Haraam
فَمَا
Famas
So long as
ٱسۡتَقَٰمُواْ
taq̣aamoo
they are upright
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
فَٱسۡتَقِيمُواْ
fastaq̣eemoo
then you be upright
لَهُمۡۚ
lahum:
to them
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
loves
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
Muttaq̣een.
the righteous
٧
9:8
كَيۡفَ
Kayfa
How
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñy
while if
يَظۡهَرُواْ
yaz̤̣haroo
they gain dominance
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
over you
لَا
laa-
they do not regard (the ties)
يَرۡقُبُواْ
yarq̣uboo
they do not regard (the ties)
فِيكُمۡ
feekum
with you
إِلّٗا
ʹillañw
(of) kinship
وَلَا
Walaa
and not
ذِمَّةٗۚ
ẓimmah?
covenant of protection
يُرۡضُونَكُم
Yurḍoonakum̃
They satisfy you
بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ
biʹafwaahihim
with their mouths
وَتَأۡبَىٰ
wa-taʹbaa
but refuse
قُلُوبُهُمۡ
q̣uloobuhum;
their hearts
وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ
wa-ʹaks̤aruhum
and most of them
فَٰسِقُونَ
faasiq̣oon.
(are) defiantly disobedient
٨
9:9
ٱشۡتَرَوۡاْ
ʹIshtaraw
They exchange
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹAayaatil
[with] the Verses of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
[with] the Verses of Allah
ثَمَنٗا
s̤amanañ
(for) a little price
قَلِيلٗا
q̣aleelañ
(for) a little price
فَصَدُّواْ
faṣaddoo
and they hinder (people)
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِهِۦٓۚ
Sabeelih:
His way
إِنَّهُمۡ
ʹinnahum
Indeed
سَآءَ
saaaʹa
evil
مَا
maa-
(is) what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
يَعۡمَلُونَ
yaʻmaloon.
do
٩
9:10
لَا
Laa-
Not
يَرۡقُبُونَ
yarq̣uboona
they respect (the ties)
فِي
fee
towards
مُؤۡمِنٍ
Muʹminin
a believer
إِلّٗا
ʹillañw
(of) kinship
وَلَا
Walaa
and not
ذِمَّةٗۚ
ẓimmah.
covenant of protection
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
Wa-ʹulaaaʹika
And those
هُمُ
humul
[they]
ٱلۡمُعۡتَدُونَ
muʻtadoon.
(are) the transgressors
١٠
9:11
فَإِن
Faʹiñ
But if
تَابُواْ
taaboo
they repent
وَأَقَامُواْ
wa-ʹaq̣aamuṣ
and establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
وَءَاتَوُاْ
wa-ʹaatawuz
and give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
Zakaata
the zakah
فَإِخۡوَٰنُكُمۡ
faʹikhwaanukum
then (they are) your brothers
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدِّينِۗ
Deen:
[the] religion
وَنُفَصِّلُ
wa-nufaṣṣilul
And We explain in detail
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ
ʹAayaati
the Verses
لِقَوۡمٖ
liq̣awmiñy
for a people
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoon.
(who) know
١١
9:12
وَإِن
Wa-ʹin
And if
نَّكَثُوٓاْ
nakas̤ooo
they break
أَيۡمَٰنَهُم
ʹaymaanahum
their oaths
مِّنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
عَهۡدِهِمۡ
ʻahdihim
their treaty
وَطَعَنُواْ
waṭaʻanoo
and defame
فِي
fee
[in]
دِينِكُمۡ
Deenikum
your religion
فَقَٰتِلُوٓاْ
faq̣aatilooo
then fight
أَئِمَّةَ
ʹaʹimmatal
the leaders
ٱلۡكُفۡرِ
kufri
(of) [the] disbelief
إِنَّهُمۡ
ʹinnahum
indeed they
لَآ
laaa
no
أَيۡمَٰنَ
ʹaymaana
oaths
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallahum
so that they may
يَنتَهُونَ
yañtahoon.
cease
١٢
9:13
أَلَا
ʹAlaa
Will not
تُقَٰتِلُونَ
tuq̣aatiloona
you fight
قَوۡمٗا
q̣awman
a people
نَّكَثُوٓاْ
nakas̤ooo
who broke
أَيۡمَٰنَهُمۡ
ʹaymaanahum
their oaths
وَهَمُّواْ
wa-hammoo
and determined
بِإِخۡرَاجِ
biʹikhraajir
to drive out
ٱلرَّسُولِ
Rasooli
the Messenger
وَهُم
wa-hum̃
and they
بَدَءُوكُمۡ
badaʹookum
began (to attack) you
أَوَّلَ
ʹawwala
first
مَرَّةٍۚ
marrah?
time
أَتَخۡشَوۡنَهُمۡۚ
ʹAtakhshawnahum?
Do you fear them
فَٱللَّهُ
Fallaahu
But Allah
أَحَقُّ
ʹaḥaq̣q̣u
(has) more right
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَخۡشَوۡهُ
takhshawhu
you should fear Him
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُم
kuñtum
you are
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen.
believers

9:14
قَٰتِلُوهُمۡ
Q̣aatiloohum
Fight them
يُعَذِّبۡهُمُ
yuʻaẓẓibhumul
Allah will punish them
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah will punish them
بِأَيۡدِيكُمۡ
biʹaydeekum
by your hands
وَيُخۡزِهِمۡ
wa-yukhzihim
and disgrace them
وَيَنصُرۡكُمۡ
wa-yañṣurkum
and give you victory
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
over them
وَيَشۡفِ
wa-yashfi
and will heal
صُدُورَ
ṣudoora
(the) breasts
قَوۡمٖ
q̣awmim
(of) a people
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen.
(who are) believers
١٤
9:15
وَيُذۡهِبۡ
Wa-yuẓhib
And remove
غَيۡظَ
g̣ayz̤̣a
(the) anger
قُلُوبِهِمۡۗ
q̣uloobihim.
(of) their hearts
وَيَتُوبُ
Wa-yatoobul
And Allah accepts repentance
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
And Allah accepts repentance
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
of
مَن
mañy
whom
يَشَآءُۗ
yashaaaʹ;
He wills
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
عَلِيمٌ
ʻAleemun
(is) All-Knower
حَكِيمٌ
Ḥakeem.
All-Wise
١٥
9:16
أَمۡ
ʹAm
Or
حَسِبۡتُمۡ
ḥasibtum
(do) you think
أَن
ʹañ
that
تُتۡرَكُواْ
tutrakoo
you would be left
وَلَمَّا
wa-lammaa
while not
يَعۡلَمِ
yaʻlamil
Allah made evident
ٱللَّهُ
laahul
Allah made evident
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
جَٰهَدُواْ
jaahadoo
strive
مِنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
وَلَمۡ
wa-lam
and not
يَتَّخِذُواْ
yattakhiẓoo
take
مِن
miñ
besides Allah
دُونِ
doonil
besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
besides Allah
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
رَسُولِهِۦ
Rasoolihee
His Messenger
وَلَا
wa-lal
and not
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineena
the believers
وَلِيجَةٗۚ
waleejah?
(as) intimates
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
خَبِيرُۢ
khabeerum
(is) All-Aware
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloon.
you do
١٦
9:17
مَا
Maa-
(It) is not
كَانَ
kaana
(It) is not
لِلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
lil-Mushrikeena
for the polytheists
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَعۡمُرُواْ
yaʻmuroo
they maintain
مَسَٰجِدَ
masaajidal
(the) masajid of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(the) masajid of Allah
شَٰهِدِينَ
shaahideena
(while) witnessing
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
against
أَنفُسِهِم
ʹañfusihim̃
themselves
بِٱلۡكُفۡرِۚ
bilkufr.
[with] disbelief
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹika
(For) those
حَبِطَتۡ
ḥabiṭat
worthless
أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ
ʹaʻmaaluhum
(are) their deeds
وَفِي
wa-fin
and in
ٱلنَّارِ
Naari
the Fire
هُمۡ
hum
they
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaalidoon.
(will) abide forever
١٧
9:18
إِنَّمَا
ʹInnamaa
Only
يَعۡمُرُ
yaʻmuru
will maintain
مَسَٰجِدَ
masaajidal
(the) masajid of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(the) masajid of Allah
مَنۡ
man
(the one) who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-Yawmil
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
ʹAakhiri
the Last
وَأَقَامَ
wa-ʹaq̣aamaṣ
and establishes
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
وَءَاتَى
wa-ʹaataz
and gives
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
Zakaata
the zakah
وَلَمۡ
wa-lam
and not
يَخۡشَ
yakhsha
fear
إِلَّا
ʹillal
except
ٱللَّهَۖ
laah.
Allah
فَعَسَىٰٓ
Faʻasaaa
Then perhaps
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹulaaaʹika
those
أَن
ʹañy
[that]
يَكُونُواْ
yakoonoo
they are
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُهۡتَدِينَ
Muhtadeen.
the guided ones
١٨
9:19
۞أَجَعَلۡتُمۡ
ʹAjaʻaltum
Do you make
سِقَايَةَ
siq̣aayatal
the providing of water
ٱلۡحَآجِّ
Ḥaaajji
(to) the pilgrims
وَعِمَارَةَ
wa-ʻimaaratal
and (the) maintenance
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
Masjidil
(of) Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
ٱلۡحَرَامِ
Ḥaraami
(of) Al-Masjid Al-Haraam
كَمَنۡ
kaman
like (the one) who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-Yawmil
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
ʹAakhiri
the Last
وَجَٰهَدَ
wa-jaahada
and strives
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah?
(of) Allah
لَا
Laa-
They are not equal
يَسۡتَوُۥنَ
yastawoona
They are not equal
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
near
ٱللَّهِۗ
laah:
Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
And Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يَهۡدِي
yahdil
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
q̣awmaz̤̣
the people
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen.
the wrongdoers
١٩
9:20
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
وَهَاجَرُواْ
wa-haajaroo
and emigrated
وَجَٰهَدُواْ
wa-jaahadoo
and strove
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
بِأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ
biʹamwaalihim
with their wealth
وَأَنفُسِهِمۡ
wa-ʹañfusihim
and their lives
أَعۡظَمُ
ʹaʻz̤̣amu
(are) greater
دَرَجَةً
darajatan
(in) rank
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
near
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah:
Allah
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ʹulaaaʹika
And those
هُمُ
humul
they
ٱلۡفَآئِزُونَ
faaaʹizoon.
(are) the successful

يُبَشِّرُهُمۡ
Yubashshiruhum
Their Lord gives them glad tidings
رَبُّهُم
Rabbuhum̃
Their Lord gives them glad tidings
بِرَحۡمَةٖ
biraḥmatim
of Mercy
مِّنۡهُ
minhu
from Him
وَرِضۡوَٰنٖ
wa-riḍwaaniñw
and Pleasure
وَجَنَّٰتٖ
wa-Jannaatil
and Gardens
لَّهُمۡ
lahum
for them
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
نَعِيمٞ
naʻeemum
(is) bliss
مُّقِيمٌ
muq̣eem;
enduring
٢١
9:22
خَٰلِدِينَ
Khaalideena
(They will) abide
فِيهَآ
feehaaa
in it
أَبَدًاۚ
ʹabadaa.
forever
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
عِندَهُۥٓ
ʻiñdahooo
with Him
أَجۡرٌ
ʹajrun
(is) a reward
عَظِيمٞ
ʻaz̤̣eem.
great
٢٢
9:23
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَتَّخِذُوٓاْ
tattakhiẓooo
take
ءَابَآءَكُمۡ
ʹaabaaaʹakum
your fathers
وَإِخۡوَٰنَكُمۡ
wa-ʹikhwaanakum
and your brothers
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
ʹawliyaaaʹa
(as) allies
إِنِ
ʹinis
if
ٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ
taḥabbul
they prefer
ٱلۡكُفۡرَ
kufra
[the] disbelief
عَلَى
ʻalal
over
ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِۚ
ʹeemaan.
[the] belief
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَتَوَلَّهُم
yatawal-lahum
takes them as allies
مِّنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those
هُمُ
humuz̤̣
[they]
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
z̤̣aalimoon.
(are) the wrongdoers
٢٣
9:24
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
إِن
ʹiñ
If
كَانَ
kaana
are
ءَابَآؤُكُمۡ
ʹaabaaaʹukum
your fathers
وَأَبۡنَآؤُكُمۡ
wa-ʹabnaaaʹukum
and your sons
وَإِخۡوَٰنُكُمۡ
wa-ʹikhwaanukum
and your brothers
وَأَزۡوَٰجُكُمۡ
wa-ʹazwaajukum
and your spouses
وَعَشِيرَتُكُمۡ
wa-ʻasheeratukum
and your relatives
وَأَمۡوَٰلٌ
wa-ʹamwaaluniq̣
and wealth
ٱقۡتَرَفۡتُمُوهَا
taraftumoohaa
that you have acquired
وَتِجَٰرَةٞ
wa-tijaaratuñ
and the commerce
تَخۡشَوۡنَ
takhshawna
you fear
كَسَادَهَا
kasaadahaa
a decline (in) it
وَمَسَٰكِنُ
wa-masaakinu
and the dwellings
تَرۡضَوۡنَهَآ
tarḍawnahaaa
you delight (in) it
أَحَبَّ
ʹaḥabba
(are) more beloved
إِلَيۡكُم
ʹilaykum
to you
مِّنَ
minal
than
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
wa-Rasoolihee
and His Messenger
وَجِهَادٖ
wa-Jihaadiñ
and striving
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِهِۦ
Sabeelihee
His way
فَتَرَبَّصُواْ
fatarabbaṣoo
then wait
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
يَأۡتِيَ
yaʹtiyallaahu
Allah brings
ٱللَّهُ
bi
Allah brings
بِأَمۡرِهِۦۗ
ʹAmrih.
His Command
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يَهۡدِي
yahdil
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
q̣awmal
the people
ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ
faasiq̣een.
the defiantly disobedient
٢٤
9:25
لَقَدۡ
Laq̣ad
Verily
نَصَرَكُمُ
naṣarakumul
Allah helped you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah helped you
فِي
fee
in
مَوَاطِنَ
mawaaṭina
regions
كَثِيرَةٖ
kas̤eeratiñw
many
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
and (on the) day
حُنَيۡنٍ
Ḥunaynin
(of) Hunain
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
أَعۡجَبَتۡكُمۡ
ʹaʻjabatkum
pleased you
كَثۡرَتُكُمۡ
kas̤ratukum
your multitude
فَلَمۡ
falam
but not
تُغۡنِ
tug̣ni
availed
عَنكُمۡ
ʻañkum
you
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayʹañw
anything
وَضَاقَتۡ
waḍaaq̣at
and (was) straitened
عَلَيۡكُمُ
ʻalaykumul
for you
ٱلۡأَرۡضُ
ʹarḍu
the earth
بِمَا
bimaa
(in spite) of its vastness
رَحُبَتۡ
raḥubat
(in spite) of its vastness
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
وَلَّيۡتُم
wallaytum
you turned back
مُّدۡبِرِينَ
mudbireen!
fleeing
