83:2ٱلَّذِينَalladhinaThose whoإِذَاidhawhenٱكۡتَالُواْik'taluthey take a measureعَلَىalafromٱلنَّاسِal-nasithe peopleيَسۡتَوۡفُونَyastawfunathey take in full٢
83:3وَإِذَاwa-idhaBut whenكَالُوهُمۡkaluhumthey give by measure (to) themأَوaworوَّزَنُوهُمۡwazanuhumthey weigh (for) themيُخۡسِرُونَyukh'sirunathey give less٣
83:4أَلَاalaDo notيَظُنُّyazunnuthinkأُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikathoseأَنَّهُمannahumthat theyمَّبۡعُوثُونَmab'uthuna(will be) resurrected٤
83:6يَوۡمَyawma(The) Dayيَقُومُyaqumuwill standٱلنَّاسُal-nasumankindلِرَبِّlirabbibefore (the) Lordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَal-'alamina(of) the worlds٦
83:7كـَلَّآkallaNayإِنَّinnaIndeedكِتَٰبَkitaba(the) recordٱلۡفُجَّارِal-fujari(of) the wickedلَفِيlafi(is) surely inسِجِّينٖsijjininSijjin٧
83:11ٱلَّذِينَalladhinaThose whoيُكَذِّبُونَyukadhibunadenyبِيَوۡمِbiyawmi(the) Dayٱلدِّينِal-dini(of) the Judgment١١
83:12وَمَاwamaAnd notيُكَذِّبُyukadhibucan denyبِهِۦٓbihi[of] itإِلَّاillaexceptكُلُّkullueveryمُعۡتَدٍmu'tadintransgressorأَثِيمٍathiminsinful١٢
83:13إِذَاidhaWhenتُتۡلَىٰtut'laare recitedعَلَيۡهِalayhito himءَايَٰتُنَاayatunaOur Versesقَالَqalahe saysأَسَٰطِيرُasatiruStoriesٱلۡأَوَّلِينَal-awalina(of) the former (people)١٣
83:14كـَلَّاۖkallaNayبَلۡۜbalButرَانَrana(the) stain has coveredعَلَىٰala[over]قُلُوبِهِمqulubihimtheir heartsمَّاma(for) whatكَانُواْkanuthey used toيَكۡسِبُونَyaksibunaearn١٤
83:15كـَلَّآkallaNayإِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed theyعَنanfromرَّبِّهِمۡrabbihimtheir Lordيَوۡمَئِذٖyawma-idhinthat Dayلَّمَحۡجُوبُونَlamahjubunasurely will be partitioned١٥
83:16ثُمَّthummaThenإِنَّهُمۡinnahumindeed theyلَصَالُواْlasalu(surely) will burnٱلۡجَحِيمِal-jahimi(in) the Hellfire١٦
83:17ثُمَّthummaThenيُقَالُyuqaluit will be saidهَٰذَاhadhaThisٱلَّذِيalladhi(is) whatكُنتُمkuntumyou used toبِهِۦbihi[of it]تُكَذِّبُونَtukadhibunadeny١٧
83:18كـَلَّآkallaNayإِنَّinnaIndeedكِتَٰبَkitaba(the) recordٱلۡأَبۡرَارِal-abrari(of) the righteousلَفِيlafi(will be) surely inعِلِّيِّينَilliyyinaIlliyin١٨
83:22إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلۡأَبۡرَارَal-abrarathe righteousلَفِيlafi(will be) surely inنَعِيمٍna'iminbliss٢٢
83:24تَعۡرِفُta'rifuYou will recognizeفِيfiinوُجُوهِهِمۡwujuhihimtheir facesنَضۡرَةَnadrata(the) radianceٱلنَّعِيمِal-na'imi(of) bliss٢٤
83:25يُسۡقَوۡنَyus'qawnaThey will be given to drinkمِنminofرَّحِيقٖrahiqina pure wineمَّخۡتُومٍmakhtuminsealed٢٥
83:26خِتَٰمُهُۥkhitamuhuIts sealمِسۡكٞۚmis'kun(will be of) muskوَفِيwafiAnd forذَٰلِكَdhalikathatفَلۡيَتَنَافَسِfalyatanafasilet aspireٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَal-mutanafisunathe aspirers٢٦
83:28عَيۡنٗاaynanA springيَشۡرَبُyashrabuwill drinkبِهَاbihafrom itٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَal-muqarabunathose brought near٢٨
83:29إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoأَجۡرَمُواْajramucommitted crimesكَانُواْkanuused toمِنَminaatٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْamanubelievedيَضۡحَكُونَyadhakunalaugh٢٩
83:30وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenمَرُّواْmarruthey passedبِهِمۡbihimby themيَتَغَامَزُونَyataghamazunathey winked at one another٣٠
83:31وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenٱنقَلَبُوٓاْinqalabuthey returnedإِلَىٰٓilatoأَهۡلِهِمُahlihimutheir peopleٱنقَلَبُواْinqalabuthey would returnفَكِهِينَfakihinajesting٣١
83:32وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenرَأَوۡهُمۡra-awhumthey saw themقَالُوٓاْqaluthey saidإِنَّinnaIndeedهَٰٓؤُلَآءِhaulaitheseلَضَآلُّونَladallunasurely have gone astray٣٢
83:33وَمَآwamaBut notأُرۡسِلُواْur'siluthey had been sentعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimover themحَٰفِظِينَhafizina(as) guardians٣٣
83:34فَٱلۡيَوۡمَfal-yawmaSo todayٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieved مِنَminaatٱلۡكُفَّارِal-kufarithe disbelieversيَضۡحَكُونَyadhakunathey will laugh٣٤
83:36هَلۡhalHave (not)ثُوِّبَthuwwibabeen rewardedٱلۡكُفَّارُal-kufaruthe disbelieversمَاma(for) whatكَانُواْkanuthey used toيَفۡعَلُونَyaf 'alunado٣٦
