79:1
وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ
wal-nazi'ati
By those who extract
غَرۡقٗا
gharqan
violently
١
79:2
وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ
wal-nashitati
And those who draw out
نَشۡطٗا
nashtan
gently
٢
79:3
وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ
wal-sabihati
And those who glide
سَبۡحٗا
sabhan
swimming
٣
79:4
فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ
fal-sabiqati
And those who race each other
سَبۡقٗا
sabqan
(in) a race
٤
79:5
فَٱلۡمُدَبِّرَٰتِ
fal-mudabirati
And those who arrange
أَمۡرٗا
amran
(the) matter
٥
79:6
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
تَرۡجُفُ
tarjufu
will quake
ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
al-rajifatu
the quaking one
٦
79:7
تَتۡبَعُهَا
tatba'uha
Follows it
ٱلرَّادِفَةُ
al-radifatu
the subsequent
٧
79:8
قُلُوبٞ
qulubun
Hearts
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
yawma-idhin
that Day
وَاجِفَةٌ
wajifatun
will palpitate
٨
79:9
أَبۡصَٰرُهَا
absaruha
Their eyes
خَٰشِعَةٞ
khashi'atun
humbled
٩
79:10
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
They say
أَءِنَّا
a-inna
Will we
لَمَرۡدُودُونَ
lamarduduna
indeed be returned
فِي
fi
to
ٱلۡحَافِرَةِ
al-hafirati
the former state
١٠
79:11
أَءِذَا
a-idha
What! When
كُنَّا
kunna
we are
عِظَٰمٗا
izaman
bones
نَّخِرَةٗ
nakhiratan
decayed
١١
79:12
قَالُواْ
qalu
They say
تِلۡكَ
til'ka
This
إِذٗا
idhan
then
كَرَّةٌ
karratun
(would be) a return
خَاسِرَةٞ
khasiratun
losing
١٢
79:13
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
Then only
هِيَ
hiya
it
زَجۡرَةٞ
zajratun
(will be) a shout
وَٰحِدَةٞ
wahidatun
single
١٣
79:14
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
And behold
هُم
hum
They
بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
bil-sahirati
(will be) awakened
١٤
79:15
هَلۡ
hal
Has
أَتَىٰكَ
ataka
(there) come to you
حَدِيثُ
hadithu
(the) story
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
(of) Musa
١٥

79:16
إِذۡ
idh
When
نَادَىٰهُ
nadahu
called him
رَبُّهُۥ
rabbuhu
his Lord
بِٱلۡوَادِ
bil-wadi
in the valley
ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ
al-muqadasi
the sacred
طُوًى
tuwan
(of) Tuwa
١٦
79:17
ٱذۡهَبۡ
idh'hab
Go
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
Firaun
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
طَغَىٰ
tagha
(has) transgressed
١٧
79:18
فَقُلۡ
faqul
And say
هَل
hal
Would
لَّكَ
laka
[for] you
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
[to]
أَن
an
[that]
تَزَكَّىٰ
tazakka
purify yourself
١٨
79:19
وَأَهۡدِيَكَ
wa-ahdiyaka
And I will guide you
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
فَتَخۡشَىٰ
fatakhsha
so you would fear
١٩
79:20
فَأَرَىٰهُ
fa-arahu
Then he showed him
ٱلۡأٓيَةَ
al-ayata
the sign
ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
al-kub'ra
the great
٢٠
79:21
فَكَذَّبَ
fakadhaba
But he denied
وَعَصَىٰ
wa'asa
and disobeyed
٢١
79:22
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
أَدۡبَرَ
adbara
he turned his back
يَسۡعَىٰ
yas'a
striving
٢٢
79:23
فَحَشَرَ
fahashara
And he gathered
فَنَادَىٰ
fanada
and called out
٢٣
79:24
فَقَالَ
faqala
Then he said
أَنَا۠
ana
I am
رَبُّكُمُ
rabbukumu
your Lord
ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ
al-a'la
the Most High
٢٤
79:25
فَأَخَذَهُ
fa-akhadhahu
So seized him
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
نَكَالَ
nakala
(with) an exemplary punishment
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
(for) the last
وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ
wal-ula
and the first
٢٥
79:26
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِي
fi
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
لَعِبۡرَةٗ
la'ib'ratan
surely (is) a lesson
لِّمَن
liman
for whoever
يَخۡشَىٰٓ
yakhsha
fears
٢٦
79:27
ءَأَنتُمۡ
a-antum
Are you
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
a more difficult
خَلۡقًا
khalqan
creation
أَمِ
ami
or
ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ
al-samau
the heaven
بَنَىٰهَا
banaha
He constructed it
٢٧
79:28
رَفَعَ
rafa'a
He raised
سَمۡكَهَا
samkaha
its ceiling
فَسَوَّىٰهَا
fasawwaha
and proportioned it
٢٨
79:29
وَأَغۡطَشَ
wa-aghtasha
And He darkened
لَيۡلَهَا
laylaha
its night
وَأَخۡرَجَ
wa-akhraja
and brought out
ضُحَىٰهَا
duhaha
its brightness
٢٩
79:30
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arda
And the earth
بَعۡدَ
ba'da
after
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
دَحَىٰهَآ
dahaha
He spread it
٣٠
79:31
أَخۡرَجَ
akhraja
He brought forth
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
from it
مَآءَهَا
maaha
its water
وَمَرۡعَىٰهَا
wamar'aha
and its pasture
٣١
79:32
وَٱلۡجِبَالَ
wal-jibala
And the mountains
أَرۡسَىٰهَا
arsaha
He made them firm
٣٢
79:33
مَتَٰعٗا
mata'an
(As) a provision
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
وَلِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ
wali-an'amikum
and for your cattle
٣٣
79:34
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
But when
جَآءَتِ
jaati
comes
ٱلطَّآمَّةُ
al-tamatu
the Overwhelming Calamity
ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
al-kub'ra
the great
٣٤
79:35
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
يَتَذَكَّرُ
yatadhakkaru
will remember
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
man
مَا
ma
what
سَعَىٰ
sa'a
he strove (for)
٣٥
79:36
وَبُرِّزَتِ
waburrizati
And will be made manifest
ٱلۡجَحِيمُ
al-jahimu
the Hellfire
لِمَن
liman
to (him) who
يَرَىٰ
yara
sees
٣٦
79:37
فَأَمَّا
fa-amma
Then as for
مَن
man
(him) who
طَغَىٰ
tagha
transgressed
٣٧
79:38
وَءَاثَرَ
waathara
And preferred
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ
al-hayata
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
٣٨
79:39
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
Then indeed
ٱلۡجَحِيمَ
al-jahima
the Hellfire
هِيَ
hiya
it
ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
al-mawa
(is) the refuge
٣٩
79:40
وَأَمَّا
wa-amma
But as for
مَنۡ
man
(him) who
خَافَ
khafa
feared
مَقَامَ
maqama
standing
رَبِّهِۦ
rabbihi
(before) his Lord
وَنَهَى
wanaha
and restrained
ٱلنَّفۡسَ
al-nafsa
his soul
عَنِ
ani
from
ٱلۡهَوَىٰ
al-hawa
the vain desires
٤٠
79:41
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
Then indeed
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
al-janata
Paradise
هِيَ
hiya
it (is)
ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
al-mawa
the refuge
٤١
79:42
يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ
yasalunaka
They ask you
عَنِ
ani
about
ٱلسَّاعَةِ
al-sa'ati
the Hour
أَيَّانَ
ayyana
when
مُرۡسَىٰهَا
mur'saha
(is) its arrival
٤٢
79:43
فِيمَ
fima
In what
أَنتَ
anta
(are) you
مِن
min
[of]
ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ
dhik'raha
(to) mention it
٤٣
79:44
إِلَىٰ
ila
To
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
مُنتَهَىٰهَآ
muntahaha
(is) its finality
٤٤
79:45
إِنَّمَآ
innama
Only
أَنتَ
anta
you
مُنذِرُ
mundhiru
(are) a warner
مَن
man
(for him) who
يَخۡشَىٰهَا
yakhshaha
fears it
٤٥
79:46
كَأَنَّهُمۡ
ka-annahum
As though they
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(the) Day
يَرَوۡنَهَا
yarawnaha
they see it
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ
yalbathu
they had remained
إِلَّا
illa
except
عَشِيَّةً
ashiyyatan
an evening
أَوۡ
aw
or
ضُحَىٰهَا
duhaha
a morning thereof
٤٦
