surely (is) a lesson
لِّمَن

for whoever
يَخۡشَىٰٓ
yakhsha
fears

79:27
ءَأَنتُمۡ
a-antum
Are you
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
a more difficult
خَلۡقًا
khalqan
creation
أَمِ
ami
or
ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ
al-samau
the heaven
بَنَىٰهَا
banaha
He constructed it
٢٧
79:28
رَفَعَ
rafa'a
He raised
سَمۡكَهَا
samkaha
its ceiling
فَسَوَّىٰهَا
fasawwaha
and proportioned it
٢٨
79:29
وَأَغۡطَشَ
wa-aghtasha
And He darkened
لَيۡلَهَا
laylaha
its night
وَأَخۡرَجَ
wa-akhraja
and brought out
ضُحَىٰهَا
duhaha
its brightness
٢٩
79:30
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arda
And the earth
بَعۡدَ
ba'da
after
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
دَحَىٰهَآ
dahaha
He spread it
٣٠
79:31
أَخۡرَجَ
akhraja
He brought forth
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
from it
مَآءَهَا
maaha
its water
وَمَرۡعَىٰهَا
wamar'aha
and its pasture
٣١
79:32
وَٱلۡجِبَالَ
wal-jibala
And the mountains
أَرۡسَىٰهَا
arsaha
He made them firm
٣٢
79:33
مَتَٰعٗا
mata'an
(As) a provision
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
وَلِأَنۡعَٰمِكُمۡ
wali-an'amikum
and for your cattle
٣٣
79:34
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
But when
جَآءَتِ
jaati
comes
ٱلطَّآمَّةُ
al-tamatu
the Overwhelming Calamity
ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
al-kub'ra
the great
٣٤
79:35
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
يَتَذَكَّرُ
yatadhakkaru
will remember
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
man
مَا
ma
what
سَعَىٰ
sa'a
he strove (for)
٣٥
79:36
وَبُرِّزَتِ
waburrizati
And will be made manifest
ٱلۡجَحِيمُ
al-jahimu
the Hellfire
لِمَن
liman
to (him) who
يَرَىٰ
yara
sees
٣٦
79:37
فَأَمَّا
fa-amma
Then as for
مَن
man
(him) who
طَغَىٰ
tagha
transgressed
٣٧
79:38
وَءَاثَرَ
waathara
And preferred
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ
al-hayata
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
٣٨
79:39
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
Then indeed
ٱلۡجَحِيمَ
al-jahima
the Hellfire
هِيَ
hiya
it
ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
al-mawa
(is) the refuge
٣٩
79:40
وَأَمَّا
wa-amma
But as for
مَنۡ
man
(him) who
خَافَ
khafa
feared
مَقَامَ
maqama
standing
رَبِّهِۦ
rabbihi
(before) his Lord
وَنَهَى
wanaha
and restrained
ٱلنَّفۡسَ
al-nafsa
his soul
عَنِ
ani
from
ٱلۡهَوَىٰ
al-hawa
the vain desires
٤٠
79:41
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
Then indeed
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
al-janata
Paradise
هِيَ
hiya
it (is)
ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ
al-mawa
the refuge
٤١
79:42
يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ
yasalunaka
They ask you
عَنِ
ani
about
ٱلسَّاعَةِ
al-sa'ati
the Hour
أَيَّانَ
ayyana
when
مُرۡسَىٰهَا
mur'saha
(is) its arrival
٤٢
79:43
فِيمَ
fima
In what
أَنتَ
anta
(are) you
مِن
min
[of]
ذِكۡرَىٰهَآ
dhik'raha
(to) mention it
٤٣
79:44
إِلَىٰ
ila
To
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
مُنتَهَىٰهَآ
muntahaha
(is) its finality
٤٤
79:45
إِنَّمَآ
innama
Only
أَنتَ
anta
you
مُنذِرُ
mundhiru
(are) a warner
مَن
man
(for him) who
يَخۡشَىٰهَا
yakhshaha
fears it
٤٥
79:46
كَأَنَّهُمۡ
ka-annahum
As though they
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(the) Day
يَرَوۡنَهَا
yarawnaha
they see it
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ
yalbathu
they had remained
إِلَّا
illa
except
عَشِيَّةً
ashiyyatan
an evening
أَوۡ
aw
or
ضُحَىٰهَا
duhaha
a morning thereof
٤٦
