ﲪﲫﲮﲴ
79:1
وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ
Wan-NAAZIʻAATI
By those who extract
غَرۡقٗا
g̣arq̣aa;
violently
١
79:2
وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ
Wan-naa-shi-ṭaati
And those who draw out
نَشۡطٗا
nashṭaa;
gently
٢
79:3
وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ
Wassaabiḥaati
And those who glide
سَبۡحٗا
sabḥaa,―
swimming
٣
79:4
فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ
Fassaabiq̣aati
And those who race each other
سَبۡقٗا
sabq̣aa,
(in) a race
٤
79:5
فَٱلۡمُدَبِّرَٰتِ
Fal-mudabbiraati
And those who arrange
أَمۡرٗا
ʹamraa.
(the) matter
٥
79:6
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(The) Day
تَرۡجُفُ
tarjufur
will quake
ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
raajifah,
the quaking one
٦
79:7
تَتۡبَعُهَا
Tatbaʻuhar
Follows it
ٱلرَّادِفَةُ
Raadifah:
the subsequent
٧
79:8
قُلُوبٞ
Q̣uloobuñy
Hearts
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
Yaw-maʹiẓiñw
that Day
وَاجِفَةٌ
waajifah,
will palpitate
٨
79:9
أَبۡصَٰرُهَا
ʹAbṣaaruhaa
Their eyes
خَٰشِعَةٞ
khaashiʻah.
humbled
٩
79:10
يَقُولُونَ
Yaq̣ooloona
They say
أَءِنَّا
ʹa-ʹinnaa
Will we
لَمَرۡدُودُونَ
lamardoodoona
indeed be returned
فِي
fil
to
ٱلۡحَافِرَةِ
ḥaafirah?―
the former state

79:11
أَءِذَا
ʹAʹiẓaa
What! When
كُنَّا
kunnaa
we are
عِظَٰمٗا
ʻiz̤̣aaman
bones
نَّخِرَةٗ
nakhirah?
decayed
١١
79:12
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They say
تِلۡكَ
tilka
This
إِذٗا
ʹiẓañ
then
كَرَّةٌ
karratun
(would be) a return
خَاسِرَةٞ
khaasirah!
losing
١٢
79:13
فَإِنَّمَا
Faʹinnamaa
Then only
هِيَ
hiya
it
زَجۡرَةٞ
zajratuñw
(will be) a shout
وَٰحِدَةٞ
Waaḥidah,
single
١٣
79:14
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
And behold
هُم
hum̃
They
بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ
bissaahirah.
(will be) awakened
١٤
79:15
هَلۡ
Hal
Has
أَتَىٰكَ
ʹataaka
(there) come to you
حَدِيثُ
ḥadees̤u
(the) story
مُوسَىٰٓ
Moosaa?
(of) Musa

إِذۡ
ʹIẓ
When
نَادَىٰهُ
naadaahu
called him
رَبُّهُۥ
Rabbuhoo
his Lord
بِٱلۡوَادِ
bil-waadil
in the valley
ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ
muq̣addasi
the sacred
طُوًى
Ṭuwaa:
(of) Tuwa
١٦
79:17
ٱذۡهَبۡ
ʹIẓhab
Go
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
Firaun
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed he
طَغَىٰ
ṭag̣aa;
(has) transgressed
١٧
79:18
فَقُلۡ
Faq̣ul
And say
هَل
hal
Would
لَّكَ
laka
[for] you
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
[to]
أَن
ʹañ
[that]
تَزَكَّىٰ
tazakkaa?―
purify yourself
١٨
79:19
وَأَهۡدِيَكَ
Wa-ʹahdiyaka
And I will guide you
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
your Lord
فَتَخۡشَىٰ
fatakhshaa?
so you would fear
١٩
79:20
فَأَرَىٰهُ
Faʹaraahul
Then he showed him
ٱلۡأٓيَةَ
ʹAayatal
the sign
ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
Kubraa.
the great
٢٠
79:21
فَكَذَّبَ
Fakaẓẓaba
But he denied
وَعَصَىٰ
wa-ʻaṣaa:
and disobeyed
٢١
79:22
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
أَدۡبَرَ
ʹadbara
he turned his back
يَسۡعَىٰ
yasʻaa,
striving
٢٢
79:23
فَحَشَرَ
Faḥashara
And he gathered
فَنَادَىٰ
fanaadaa,
and called out
٢٣
79:24
فَقَالَ
Faq̣aala
Then he said
أَنَا۠
ʹana
I am
رَبُّكُمُ
Rabbukumul
your Lord
ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ
ʹaʻlaa.
the Most High
٢٤
79:25
فَأَخَذَهُ
Faʹakhaẓahul
So seized him
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
نَكَالَ
nakaalal
(with) an exemplary punishment
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
(for) the last
وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ
wal-ʹoolaa.
and the first
٢٥
