78:3ٱلَّذِيalladhi(About) whichهُمۡhumtheyفِيهِfihi(are) concerning itمُخۡتَلِفُونَmukh'talifuna(in) disagreement٣
78:12وَبَنَيۡنَاwabanaynaAnd We constructedفَوۡقَكُمۡfawqakumover youسَبۡعٗاsab'ansevenشِدَادٗاshidadanstrong١٢
78:14وَأَنزَلۡنَاwa-anzalnaAnd We sent downمِنَminafromٱلۡمُعۡصِرَٰتِal-mu'siratithe rain cloudsمَآءٗmaanwaterثَجَّاجٗاthajjajanpouring abundantly١٤
78:15لِّنُخۡرِجَlinukh'rijaThat We may bring forthبِهِۦbihitherebyحَبّٗاhabbangrainوَنَبَاتٗاwanabatanand vegetation١٥
78:17إِنَّinnaIndeedيَوۡمَyawma(the) Dayٱلۡفَصۡلِal-fasli(of) the Judgmentكَانَkanaisمِيقَٰتٗاmiqatanan appointed time١٧
78:18يَوۡمَyawma(The) Dayيُنفَخُyunfakhu(in which) shall be blownفِيfiinٱلصُّورِal-surithe trumpetفَتَأۡتُونَfatatunaand you will come forthأَفۡوَاجٗاafwajan(in) crowds١٨
78:19وَفُتِحَتِwafutihatiAnd is openedٱلسَّمَآءُal-samauthe heavenفَكَانَتۡfakanatand becomesأَبۡوَٰبٗاabwabangateways١٩
78:20وَسُيِّرَتِwasuyyiratiAnd are movedٱلۡجِبَالُal-jibaluthe mountainsفَكَانَتۡfakanatand becomeسَرَابًاsarabana mirage٢٠
78:24لَّاlaNotيَذُوقُونَyadhuqunathey will tasteفِيهَاfihathereinبَرۡدٗاbardancoolnessوَلَاwalaand notشَرَابًاsharabanany drink٢٤
78:27إِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed theyكَانُواْkanuwereلَاlanotيَرۡجُونَyarjunaexpectingحِسَابٗاhisabanan account٢٧
78:28وَكَذَّبُواْwakadhabuAnd they deniedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاbiayatinaOur Signsكِذَّابٗاkidhaban(with) denial٢٨
78:29وَكُلَّwakullaAnd everyشَيۡءٍshayinthingأَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُahsaynahuWe have enumerated itكِتَٰبٗاkitaban(in) a Book٢٩
78:30فَذُوقُواْfadhuquSo tasteفَلَنfalanand neverنَّزِيدَكُمۡnazidakumWe will increase youإِلَّاillaexceptعَذَابًاadhaban(in) punishment٣٠
78:35لَّاlaNotيَسۡمَعُونَyasma'unathey will hearفِيهَاfihathereinلَغۡوٗاlaghwanany vain talkوَلَاwalaand notكِذَّٰبٗاkidhabanany falsehood٣٥
78:36جَزَآءٗjazaan(As) a rewardمِّنminfromرَّبِّكَrabbikayour Lordعَطَآءًataana giftحِسَابٗاhisaban(according to) account٣٦
78:37رَّبِّrabbiLordٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawati(of) the heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ardiand the earthوَمَاwamaand whateverبَيۡنَهُمَاbaynahuma(is) between both of themٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۖal-rahmanithe Most Graciousلَاlanotيَمۡلِكُونَyamlikunathey have powerمِنۡهُmin'hufrom Himخِطَابٗاkhitaban(to) address٣٧
78:38يَوۡمَyawma(The) Dayيَقُومُyaqumuwill standٱلرُّوحُal-ruhuthe Spiritوَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُwal-malaikatuand the Angelsصَفّٗاۖsaffan(in) rowsلَّاlanotيَتَكَلَّمُونَyatakallamunathey will speakإِلَّاillaexceptمَنۡman(one) who أَذِنَadhinapermitsلَهُlahu[for] himٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُal-rahmanuthe Most Graciousوَقَالَwaqalaand he (will) sayصَوَابٗاsawaban(what is) correct٣٨
78:39ذَٰلِكَdhalikaThatٱلۡيَوۡمُal-yawmu(is) the Dayٱلۡحَقُّۖal-haquthe TrueفَمَنfamanSo whoeverشَآءَshaawillsٱتَّخَذَittakhadhalet him takeإِلَىٰilatowardsرَبِّهِۦrabbihihis Lordمَـَٔابًاmaabana return٣٩
78:40إِنَّآinnaIndeed Weأَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡandharnakum[We] have warned youعَذَابٗاadhaban(of) a punishmentقَرِيبٗاqaribannearيَوۡمَyawma(the) Dayيَنظُرُyanzuruwill seeٱلۡمَرۡءُal-maruthe manمَاmawhatقَدَّمَتۡqaddamathave sent forthيَدَاهُyadahuhis handsوَيَقُولُwayaquluand will sayٱلۡكَافِرُal-kafiruthe disbelieverيَٰلَيۡتَنِيyalaytaniO I wishكُنتُkuntuI wereتُرَٰبَۢاturabandust٤٠
