7:2كِتَٰبٌkitabun(This is) a Bookأُنزِلَunzilarevealedإِلَيۡكَilaykato youفَلَاfalaso (let) notيَكُنyakunbeفِيfiinصَدۡرِكَsadrikayour breastحَرَجٞharajunany uneasinessمِّنۡهُmin'hufrom itلِتُنذِرَlitundhirathat you warnبِهِۦbihiwith itوَذِكۡرَىٰwadhik'raand a reminderلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَlil'mu'mininafor the believers٢
7:3ٱتَّبِعُواْittabi'uFollowمَآmawhatأُنزِلَunzilahas been revealedإِلَيۡكُمilaykumto youمِّنminfromرَّبِّكُمۡrabbikumyour Lordوَلَاwalaand (do) notتَتَّبِعُواْtattabi'ufollowمِنminfromدُونِهِۦٓdunihibeside Himأَوۡلِيَآءَۗawliyaaany alliesقَلِيلٗاqalilanLittleمَّاma(is) whatتَذَكَّرُونَtadhakkarunayou remember٣
7:4وَكَمwakamAnd how manyمِّنminofقَرۡيَةٍqaryatina cityأَهۡلَكۡنَٰهَاahlaknahaWe destroyed itفَجَآءَهَاfajaahaand came to itبَأۡسُنَاbasunaOur punishmentبَيَٰتًاbayatan(at) nightأَوۡaworهُمۡhum(while) theyقَآئِلُونَqailunawere sleeping at noon٤
7:5فَمَاfamaThen notكَانَkanawasدَعۡوَىٰهُمۡda'wahumtheir pleaإِذۡidhwhenجَآءَهُمjaahumcame to themبَأۡسُنَآbasunaOur punishmentإِلَّآillaexceptأَنanthatقَالُوٓاْqaluthey saidإِنَّاinnaIndeed weكُنَّاkunnawereظَٰلِمِينَzaliminawrongdoers٥
7:6فَلَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّfalanasalannaThen surely We will questionٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose (to) whomأُرۡسِلَur'silawere sentإِلَيۡهِمۡilayhimto them (Messengers)وَلَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّwalanasalannaand surely We will questionٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَal-mur'salinathe Messengers٦
7:7فَلَنَقُصَّنَّfalanaqussannaThen surely We will narrateعَلَيۡهِمalayhimto themبِعِلۡمٖۖbi'il'minwith knowledgeوَمَاwamaand notكُنَّاkunnawere Weغَآئِبِينَghaibinaabsent٧
7:8وَٱلۡوَزۡنُwal-waznuAnd the weighingيَوۡمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat dayٱلۡحَقُّۚal-haqu(will be) the truthفَمَنfamanSo whose ثَقُلَتۡthaqulat(will be) heavyمَوَٰزِينُهُۥmawazinuhuhis scalesفَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَfa-ulaikathen thoseهُمُhumu[they]ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَal-muf'lihuna(will be) the successful ones٨
7:9وَمَنۡwamanAnd (for) thoseخَفَّتۡkhaffat(will be) lightمَوَٰزِينُهُۥmawazinuhuhis scalesفَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَfa-ulaikaso thoseٱلَّذِينَalladhina(will be) the ones whoخَسِرُوٓاْkhasirulostأَنفُسَهُمanfusahumthemselvesبِمَاbimabecauseكَانُواْkanuthey wereبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاbiayatinato Our Versesيَظۡلِمُونَyazlimuna(doing) injustice٩
7:10وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd certainlyمَكَّنَّٰكُمۡmakkannakumWe established youفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthوَجَعَلۡنَاwaja'alnaand We madeلَكُمۡlakumfor youفِيهَاfihain itمَعَٰيِشَۗma'ayishalivelihoodقَلِيلٗاqalilanLittleمَّاma(is) whatتَشۡكُرُونَtashkurunayou (are) grateful١٠
7:11وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd certainlyخَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡkhalaqnakumWe created youثُمَّthummathenصَوَّرۡنَٰكُمۡsawwarnakumWe fashioned youثُمَّthummaThenقُلۡنَاqul'naWe saidلِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِlil'malaikatito the Angelsٱسۡجُدُواْus'juduProstrateلِأٓدَمَliadamato AdamفَسَجَدُوٓاْfasajaduSo they prostratedإِلَّآillaexceptإِبۡلِيسَib'lisaIblisلَمۡlamNotيَكُنyakunhe wasمِّنَminaofٱلسَّٰجِدِينَal-sajidinathose who prostrated١١
7:12قَالَqala(Allah) saidمَاmaWhatمَنَعَكَmana'akaprevented youأَلَّاallathat notتَسۡجُدَtasjudayou prostrateإِذۡidhwhenأَمَرۡتُكَۖamartukaI commanded youقَالَqala(Shaitaan) saidأَنَا۠anaI amخَيۡرٞkhayrunbetterمِّنۡهُmin'huthan himخَلَقۡتَنِيkhalaqtaniYou created meمِنminfromنَّارٖnarinfireوَخَلَقۡتَهُۥwakhalaqtahuand You created himمِنminfromطِينٖtininclay١٢
7:13قَالَqala(Allah) saidفَٱهۡبِطۡfah'bitThen go downمِنۡهَاmin'hafrom itفَمَاfamafor notيَكُونُyakunuit isلَكَlakafor youأَنanthatتَتَكَبَّرَtatakabbarayou be arrogantفِيهَاfihain itفَٱخۡرُجۡfa-ukh'rujSo get outإِنَّكَinnakaindeed youمِنَmina(are) ofٱلصَّٰغِرِينَal-saghirinathe disgraced ones١٣
7:14قَالَqala(Shaitaan) saidأَنظِرۡنِيٓanzir'niGive me respiteإِلَىٰilatillيَوۡمِyawmi(the) Dayيُبۡعَثُونَyub'athunathey are raised up١٤
7:15قَالَqala(Allah) saidإِنَّكَinnakaIndeed youمِنَmina(are) ofٱلۡمُنظَرِينَal-munzarinathe ones given respite١٥
7:16قَالَqala(Shaitaan) saidفَبِمَآfabimaBecauseأَغۡوَيۡتَنِيaghwaytaniYou have sent me astrayلَأَقۡعُدَنَّla-aq'udannasurely I will sitلَهُمۡlahumfor themصِرَٰطَكَsirataka(on) Your pathٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَal-mus'taqimathe straight١٦
7:17ثُمَّthummaThenلَأٓتِيَنَّهُمlaatiyannahumsurely I will come to themمِّنۢminfromبَيۡنِbaynibeforeأَيۡدِيهِمۡaydihimthemوَمِنۡwaminand fromخَلۡفِهِمۡkhalfihimbehind themوَعَنۡwa'anand fromأَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡaymanihimtheir rightوَعَنwa'anand fromشَمَآئِلِهِمۡۖshamailihimtheir leftوَلَاwalaand notتَجِدُtajiduYou (will) findأَكۡثَرَهُمۡaktharahummost of themشَٰكِرِينَshakirinagrateful١٧
7:18قَالَqala(Allah) saidٱخۡرُجۡukh'rujGet outمِنۡهَاmin'haof itمَذۡءُومٗاmadhumandisgracedمَّدۡحُورٗاۖmadhuranand expelledلَّمَنlamanCertainly whoeverتَبِعَكَtabi'akafollows youمِنۡهُمۡmin'humamong themلَأَمۡلَأَنَّla-amla-annasurely I will fillجَهَنَّمَjahannamaHellمِنكُمۡminkumwith youأَجۡمَعِينَajma'inaall١٨
7:19وَيَٰٓـَٔادَمُwayaadamuAnd O Adamٱسۡكُنۡus'kunDwellأَنتَantayouوَزَوۡجُكَwazawjukaand your wifeٱلۡجَنَّةَal-janata(in) the Gardenفَكُلَاfakulaand you both eatمِنۡminfromحَيۡثُhaythuwhereverشِئۡتُمَاshi'tumayou both wishوَلَاwalabut (do) notتَقۡرَبَاtaqrabaapproach [both of you]هَٰذِهِhadhihithisٱلشَّجَرَةَal-shajarata[the] treeفَتَكُونَاfatakunalest you both beمِنَminaamongٱلظَّٰلِمِينَal-zaliminathe wrongdoers١٩
7:20فَوَسۡوَسَfawaswasaThen whisperedلَهُمَاlahumato both of themٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُal-shaytanuthe Shaitaanلِيُبۡدِيَliyub'diyato make apparentلَهُمَاlahumato both of themمَاmawhatوُۥرِيَwuriyawas concealedعَنۡهُمَاanhumafrom both of themمِنminofسَوۡءَٰتِهِمَاsawatihimatheir shameوَقَالَwaqalaAnd he saidمَاma(Did) notنَهَىٰكُمَاnahakumaforbid you bothرَبُّكُمَاrabbukumayour Lordعَنۡanfromهَٰذِهِhadhihithisٱلشَّجَرَةِal-shajarati[the] treeإِلَّآillaexceptأَنanthatتَكُونَاtakunayou two becomeمَلَكَيۡنِmalakayniAngelsأَوۡaworتَكُونَاtakunayou two becomeمِنَminaofٱلۡخَٰلِدِينَal-khalidinathe immortals٢٠
7:21وَقَاسَمَهُمَآwaqasamahumaAnd he swore (to) both of themإِنِّيinniIndeed I amلَكُمَاlakumato both of youلَمِنَlaminaamongٱلنَّٰصِحِينَal-nasihinathe sincere advisors٢١
7:22فَدَلَّىٰهُمَاfadallahumaSo he made both of them fallبِغُرُورٖۚbighururinby deceptionفَلَمَّاfalammaThen whenذَاقَاdhaqathey both tastedٱلشَّجَرَةَal-shajaratathe treeبَدَتۡbadatbecame apparentلَهُمَاlahumato both of themسَوۡءَٰتُهُمَاsawatuhumatheir shameوَطَفِقَاwatafiqaand they beganيَخۡصِفَانِyakhsifani(to) fastenعَلَيۡهِمَاalayhimaover themselvesمِنminfromوَرَقِwaraqi(the) leavesٱلۡجَنَّةِۖal-janati(of) the GardenوَنَادَىٰهُمَاwanadahumaAnd called them bothرَبُّهُمَآrabbuhumatheir LordأَلَمۡalamDid notأَنۡهَكُمَاanhakumaI forbid you bothعَنanfromتِلۡكُمَاtil'kumathisٱلشَّجَرَةِal-shajarati[the] treeوَأَقُلwa-aquland [I] sayلَّكُمَآlakumato both of youإِنَّinnathatٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَal-shaytana[the] Shaitaanلَكُمَاlakumato both of youعَدُوّٞaduwwun(is) an enemyمُّبِينٞmubinunopen٢٢
7:23قَالَاqalaBoth of them saidرَبَّنَاrabbanaOur Lordظَلَمۡنَآzalamnawe have wrongedأَنفُسَنَاanfusanaourselvesوَإِنwa-inand ifلَّمۡlamnotتَغۡفِرۡtaghfirYou forgiveلَنَاlana[for] usوَتَرۡحَمۡنَاwatarhamnaand have mercy (on) usلَنَكُونَنَّlanakunannasurely we will beمِنَminaamongٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَal-khasirinathe losers٢٣
7:24قَالَqala(Allah) saidٱهۡبِطُواْih'bituGet downبَعۡضُكُمۡba'dukumsome of youلِبَعۡضٍliba'dinto some othersعَدُوّٞۖaduwwun(as) enemyوَلَكُمۡwalakumAnd for youفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthمُسۡتَقَرّٞmus'taqarrun(is) a dwelling placeوَمَتَٰعٌwamata'unand livelihoodإِلَىٰilaforحِينٖhinina time٢٤
7:25قَالَqalaHe saidفِيهَاfihaIn itتَحۡيَوۡنَtahyawnayou will liveوَفِيهَاwafihaand in itتَمُوتُونَtamutunayou will dieوَمِنۡهَاwamin'haand from itتُخۡرَجُونَtukh'rajunayou will be brought forth٢٥
7:26يَٰبَنِيٓyabaniO Childrenءَادَمَadama(of) AdamقَدۡqadVerilyأَنزَلۡنَاanzalnaWe have sent downعَلَيۡكُمۡalaykumto youلِبَاسٗاlibasanclothingيُوَٰرِيyuwariit coversسَوۡءَٰتِكُمۡsawatikumyour shameوَرِيشٗاۖwarishanand (as) an adornmentوَلِبَاسُwalibasuBut the clothingٱلتَّقۡوَىٰal-taqwa(of) [the] righteousness ذَٰلِكَdhalikathatخَيۡرٞۚkhayrun(is) bestذَٰلِكَdhalikaThatمِنۡmin(is) fromءَايَٰتِayati(the) Signsٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahلَعَلَّهُمۡla'allahumso that they mayيَذَّكَّرُونَyadhakkarunaremember٢٦
7:27يَٰبَنِيٓyabaniO Childrenءَادَمَadama(of) Adamلَاla(Let) notيَفۡتِنَنَّكُمُyaftinannakumutempt youٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُal-shaytanu[the] Shaitaanكَمَآkamaasأَخۡرَجَakhrajahe drove outأَبَوَيۡكُمabawaykumyour parentsمِّنَminafromٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janatiParadiseيَنزِعُyanzi'ustrippingعَنۡهُمَاanhumafrom both of themلِبَاسَهُمَاlibasahumatheir clothingلِيُرِيَهُمَاliyuriyahumato show both of themسَوۡءَٰتِهِمَآۚsawatihimatheir shameإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed heيَرَىٰكُمۡyarakumsees you هُوَhuwaheوَقَبِيلُهُۥwaqabiluhuand his tribeمِنۡminfromحَيۡثُhaythuwhereلَاlanotتَرَوۡنَهُمۡۗtarawnahumyou see themإِنَّاinnaIndeedجَعَلۡنَاja'alnaWe have madeٱلشَّيَٰطِينَal-shayatinathe devilsأَوۡلِيَآءَawliyaafriendsلِلَّذِينَlilladhinaof those whoلَاla(do) notيُؤۡمِنُونَyu'minunabelieve٢٧
7:28وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenفَعَلُواْfa'aluthey doفَٰحِشَةٗfahishatanimmoralityقَالُواْqaluthey sayوَجَدۡنَاwajadnaWe foundعَلَيۡهَآalayhaon itءَابَآءَنَاabaanaour forefathersوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuand Allahأَمَرَنَاamarana(has) ordered usبِهَاۗbihaof itقُلۡqulSayإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahلَاla(does) notيَأۡمُرُyamuruorderبِٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِۖbil-fahshaiimmoralityأَتَقُولُونَataqulunaDo you sayعَلَىalaaboutٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahمَاmawhatلَاlanotتَعۡلَمُونَta'lamunayou know٢٨
7:29قُلۡqulSayأَمَرَamara(Has been) orderedرَبِّيrabbi(by) my Lordبِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖbil-qis'tijusticeوَأَقِيمُواْwa-aqimuand setوُجُوهَكُمۡwujuhakumyour facesعِندَindaatكُلِّkullieveryمَسۡجِدٖmasjidinmasjidوَٱدۡعُوهُwa-id'uhuand invoke Himمُخۡلِصِينَmukh'lisina(being) sincereلَهُlahuto Himٱلدِّينَۚal-dina(in) the religionكَمَاkamaAsبَدَأَكُمۡbada-akumHe originated youتَعُودُونَta'uduna(so) will you return٢٩
7:30فَرِيقًاfariqanA groupهَدَىٰhadaHe guidedوَفَرِيقًاwafariqanand a groupحَقَّhaqqadeserved عَلَيۡهِمُalayhimu[on] theyٱلضَّلَٰلَةُۚal-dalalatuthe astrayingإِنَّهُمُinnahumuIndeed theyٱتَّخَذُواْittakhadhutakeٱلشَّيَٰطِينَal-shayatinathe devilsأَوۡلِيَآءَawliyaa(as) alliesمِنminfromدُونِdunibesidesٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahوَيَحۡسَبُونَwayahsabunawhile they thinkأَنَّهُمannahumthat theyمُّهۡتَدُونَmuh'taduna(are the) guided-ones٣٠
7:31۞يَٰبَنِيٓyabaniO Childrenءَادَمَadama(of) AdamخُذُواْkhudhuTakeزِينَتَكُمۡzinatakumyour adornmentعِندَindaatكُلِّkullieveryمَسۡجِدٖmasjidinmasjidوَكُلُواْwakuluand eatوَٱشۡرَبُواْwa-ish'rabuand drinkوَلَاwalabut (do) notتُسۡرِفُوٓاْۚtus'rifube extravagantإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed Heلَاla(does) notيُحِبُّyuhibbuloveٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَal-mus'rifinathe extravagant ones٣١
7:32قُلۡqulSayمَنۡmanWhoحَرَّمَharramahas forbiddenزِينَةَzinata(the) adornmentٱللَّهِal-lahi(from) AllahٱلَّتِيٓallatiwhichأَخۡرَجَakhrajaHe has brought forthلِعِبَادِهِۦli'ibadihifor His slavesوَٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِwal-tayibatiand the pure thingsمِنَminaofٱلرِّزۡقِۚal-riz'qisustenanceقُلۡqulSayهِيَhiyaTheyلِلَّذِينَlilladhina(are) for those whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieveفِيfiduringٱلۡحَيَوٰةِal-hayatithe lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاal-dun'ya(of) the worldخَالِصَةٗkhalisatanexclusively (for them)يَوۡمَyawma(on the) Dayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗal-qiyamati(of) ResurrectionكَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaThusنُفَصِّلُnufassiluWe explainٱلۡأٓيَٰتِal-ayatithe Signsلِقَوۡمٖliqawminfor (the) peopleيَعۡلَمُونَya'lamunawho know٣٢
7:33قُلۡqulSayإِنَّمَاinnamaOnlyحَرَّمَharrama(had) forbiddenرَبِّيَrabbiyamy Lordٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَal-fawahishathe shameful deedsمَاmawhatظَهَرَzahara(is) apparentمِنۡهَاmin'haof itوَمَاwamaand whatبَطَنَbatanais concealedوَٱلۡإِثۡمَwal-ith'maand the sinوَٱلۡبَغۡيَwal-baghyaand the oppressionبِغَيۡرِbighayriwithoutٱلۡحَقِّal-haqi[the] rightوَأَنwa-anand thatتُشۡرِكُواْtush'rikuyou associate (others)بِٱللَّهِbil-lahiwith AllahمَاmawhatلَمۡlamnotيُنَزِّلۡyunazzilHe (has) sent downبِهِۦbihiof itسُلۡطَٰنٗاsul'tananany authorityوَأَنwa-anand thatتَقُولُواْtaquluyou sayعَلَىalaaboutٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahمَاmawhatلَاlanotتَعۡلَمُونَta'lamunayou know٣٣
7:34وَلِكُلِّwalikulliAnd for everyأُمَّةٍummatinnationأَجَلٞۖajalun(is a fixed) termفَإِذَاfa-idhaSo whenجَآءَjaacomesأَجَلُهُمۡajaluhumtheir termلَاla(they can) notيَسۡتَأۡخِرُونَyastakhirunaseek to delayسَاعَةٗsa'atanan hourوَلَاwalaand notيَسۡتَقۡدِمُونَyastaqdimunaseek to advance (it)٣٤
7:35يَٰبَنِيٓyabaniO Childrenءَادَمَadama(of) AdamإِمَّاimmaIfيَأۡتِيَنَّكُمۡyatiyannakumcome to youرُسُلٞrusulunMessengersمِّنكُمۡminkumfrom youيَقُصُّونَyaqussunarelatingعَلَيۡكُمۡalaykumto youءَايَٰتِيayatiMy Versesفَمَنِfamanithen whoeverٱتَّقَىٰittaqafears Allahوَأَصۡلَحَwa-aslahaand reformsفَلَاfalathen noخَوۡفٌkhawfunfearعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimon themوَلَاwalaand notهُمۡhumtheyيَحۡزَنُونَyahzanunawill grieve٣٥
7:36وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaBut those whoكَذَّبُواْkadhabudenyبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاbiayatinaOur Versesوَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْwa-is'takbaruand (are) arrogantعَنۡهَآanhatowards themأُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikathoseأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(are the) companionsٱلنَّارِۖal-nari(of) the Fireهُمۡhumtheyفِيهَاfihain itخَٰلِدُونَkhalidunawill abide forever٣٦
7:37فَمَنۡfamanThen whoأَظۡلَمُazlamu(is) more unjustمِمَّنِmimmanithan (one) whoٱفۡتَرَىٰif'tarainventedعَلَىalaagainstٱللَّهِal-lahiAllahكَذِبًاkadhibana lieأَوۡaworكَذَّبَkadhabadeniesبِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚbiayatihiHis VersesأُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThose يَنَالُهُمۡyanaluhumwill reach themنَصِيبُهُمnasibuhumtheir portionمِّنَminafromٱلۡكِتَٰبِۖal-kitabithe Bookحَتَّىٰٓhattauntilإِذَاidhawhenجَآءَتۡهُمۡjaathumcomes to themرُسُلُنَاrusulunaOur messengers (Angels)يَتَوَفَّوۡنَهُمۡyatawaffawnahum(to) take them in deathقَالُوٓاْqaluthey sayأَيۡنَaynaWhere areمَاmathose (whom)كُنتُمۡkuntumyou used toتَدۡعُونَtad'unainvokeمِنminfromدُونِdunibesidesٱللَّهِۖal-lahiAllahقَالُواْqaluThey sayضَلُّواْdalluThey strayedعَنَّاannafrom usوَشَهِدُواْwashahiduand they (will) testifyعَلَىٰٓalaagainstأَنفُسِهِمۡanfusihimthemselvesأَنَّهُمۡannahumthat theyكَانُواْkanuwereكَٰفِرِينَkafirinadisbelievers٣٧
7:38قَالَqalaHe (will) sayٱدۡخُلُواْud'khuluEnterفِيٓfiamongأُمَمٖumamin(the) nationsقَدۡqad(who)خَلَتۡkhalatpassed awayمِنminfromقَبۡلِكُمqablikumbefore youمِّنَminaofٱلۡجِنِّal-jinithe jinnوَٱلۡإِنسِwal-insiand the menفِيfiinٱلنَّارِۖal-narithe FireكُلَّمَاkullamaEvery timeدَخَلَتۡdakhalatenteredأُمَّةٞummatuna nationلَّعَنَتۡla'anatit cursedأُخۡتَهَاۖukh'tahaits sister (nation)حَتَّىٰٓhattauntilإِذَاidhawhenٱدَّارَكُواْiddarakuthey had overtaken one anotherفِيهَاfihain itجَمِيعٗاjami'anallقَالَتۡqalat(will) sayأُخۡرَىٰهُمۡukh'rahum(the) last of themلِأُولَىٰهُمۡliulahumabout the first of themرَبَّنَاrabbanaOur Lordهَٰٓؤُلَآءِhaulaitheseأَضَلُّونَاadallunamisled usفَـَٔاتِهِمۡfaatihimso give themعَذَابٗاadhabanpunishmentضِعۡفٗاdi'fandoubleمِّنَminaofٱلنَّارِۖal-narithe FireقَالَqalaHe (will) sayلِكُلّٖlikullinFor eachضِعۡفٞdi'fun(is) a doubleوَلَٰكِنwalakin[and] butلَّاlanotتَعۡلَمُونَta'lamunayou know٣٨
7:39وَقَالَتۡwaqalatAnd (will) sayأُولَىٰهُمۡulahum(the) first of themلِأُخۡرَىٰهُمۡli-ukh'rahumto (the) last of themفَمَاfamaThen notكَانَkanaisلَكُمۡlakumfor youعَلَيۡنَاalaynaupon usمِنminanyفَضۡلٖfadlinsuperiorityفَذُوقُواْfadhuquso tasteٱلۡعَذَابَal-'adhabathe punishmentبِمَاbimafor whatكُنتُمۡkuntumyou used toتَكۡسِبُونَtaksibunaearn٣٩
7:40إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoكَذَّبُواْkadhabudeniedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاbiayatinaOur Versesوَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْwa-is'takbaruand (were) arrogantعَنۡهَاanhatowards themلَاla(will) notتُفَتَّحُtufattahube openedلَهُمۡlahumfor themأَبۡوَٰبُabwabu(the) doorsٱلسَّمَآءِal-samai(of) the heavenوَلَاwalaand notيَدۡخُلُونَyadkhulunathey will enterٱلۡجَنَّةَal-janataParadiseحَتَّىٰhattauntilيَلِجَyalijapassesٱلۡجَمَلُal-jamaluthe camelفِيfithroughسَمِّsammi(the) eyeٱلۡخِيَاطِۚal-khiyati(of) the needleوَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhalikaAnd thusنَجۡزِيnajziWe recompenseٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَal-muj'riminathe criminals٤٠
7:41لَهُمlahumFor themمِّنminofجَهَنَّمَjahannama(the) Hellمِهَادٞmihadun(is) a bedوَمِنwaminand fromفَوۡقِهِمۡfawqihimover themغَوَاشٖۚghawashincoveringsوَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhalikaAnd thusنَجۡزِيnajziWe recompenseٱلظَّٰلِمِينَal-zaliminathe wrongdoers٤١
7:42وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhinaBut those whoءَامَنُواْamanubelieveوَعَمِلُواْwa'amiluand doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِal-salihati[the] righteous deedsلَاlanotنُكَلِّفُnukallifuWe burdenنَفۡسًاnafsanany soulإِلَّاillaexceptوُسۡعَهَآwus'aha(to) its capacityأُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(are the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِۖal-janati(of) Paradiseهُمۡhumtheyفِيهَاfihain itخَٰلِدُونَkhaliduna(will) abide forever٤٢
7:43وَنَزَعۡنَاwanaza'naAnd We will removeمَاmawhateverفِيfi(is) inصُدُورِهِمsudurihimtheir breastsمِّنۡminofغِلّٖghillinmaliceتَجۡرِيtajriFlowsمِنminfromتَحۡتِهِمُtahtihimuunderneath themٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۖal-anharuthe riversوَقَالُواْwaqaluAnd they will sayٱلۡحَمۡدُal-hamduAll the praiseلِلَّهِlillahi(is) for Allahٱلَّذِيalladhithe One Whoهَدَىٰنَاhadanaguided usلِهَٰذَاlihadhato thisوَمَاwamaand notكُنَّاkunnawe wereلِنَهۡتَدِيَlinahtadiyato receive guidanceلَوۡلَآlawlaif notأَنۡan[that]هَدَىٰنَاhadana(had) guided usٱللَّهُۖal-lahuAllahلَقَدۡlaqadCertainlyجَآءَتۡjaatcameرُسُلُrusuluMessengersرَبِّنَاrabbina(of) our Lordبِٱلۡحَقِّۖbil-haqiwith the truthوَنُودُوٓاْwanuduAnd they will be addressedأَنan[that]تِلۡكُمُtil'kumuThisٱلۡجَنَّةُal-janatu(is) Paradiseأُورِثۡتُمُوهَاurith'tumuhayou have been made to inherit itبِمَاbimafor whatكُنتُمۡkuntumyou used toتَعۡمَلُونَta'malunado٤٣
7:44وَنَادَىٰٓwanadaAnd will call outأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janati(of) Paradiseأَصۡحَٰبَashaba(to the) companionsٱلنَّارِal-nari(of) the FireأَنanthatقَدۡqadIndeedوَجَدۡنَاwajadnawe foundمَاmawhatوَعَدَنَاwa'adana(had) promised usرَبُّنَاrabbunaour LordحَقّٗاhaqqantrueفَهَلۡfahalSo haveوَجَدتُّمwajadttumyou foundمَّاmawhatوَعَدَwa'ada(was) promisedرَبُّكُمۡrabbukum(by) your Lordحَقّٗاۖhaqqan(to be) trueقَالُواْqaluThey will sayنَعَمۡۚna'amYesفَأَذَّنَfa-adhanaThen will announceمُؤَذِّنُۢmu-adhinunan announcerبَيۡنَهُمۡbaynahumamong themأَنan[that]لَّعۡنَةُla'natu(The) curseٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahعَلَىala(is) onٱلظَّٰلِمِينَal-zaliminathe wrongdoers٤٤
7:45ٱلَّذِينَalladhinaThose whoيَصُدُّونَyasuddunahinderعَنanfromسَبِيلِsabili(the) wayٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahوَيَبۡغُونَهَاwayabghunahaand seek in itعِوَجٗاiwajancrookednessوَهُمwahumwhile they (are)بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِbil-akhiraticoncerning the Hereafterكَٰفِرُونَkafirunadisbelievers٤٥
7:46وَبَيۡنَهُمَاwabaynahumaAnd between themحِجَابٞۚhijabun(will be) a partitionوَعَلَىwa'alaand onٱلۡأَعۡرَافِal-a'rafithe heightsرِجَالٞrijalun(will be) menيَعۡرِفُونَya'rifunarecognizingكُلَّۢاkullanallبِسِيمَىٰهُمۡۚbisimahumby their marksوَنَادَوۡاْwanadawAnd they will call outأَصۡحَٰبَashaba(to the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janati(of) ParadiseأَنanthatسَلَٰمٌsalamunPeaceعَلَيۡكُمۡۚalaykum(be) upon youلَمۡlamNotيَدۡخُلُوهَاyadkhuluhathey have entered itوَهُمۡwahumbut theyيَطۡمَعُونَyatma'unahope٤٦
7:47۞وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenصُرِفَتۡsurifatare turnedأَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡabsaruhumtheir eyesتِلۡقَآءَtil'qaatowardsأَصۡحَٰبِashabi(the) companionsٱلنَّارِal-nari(of) the Fireقَالُواْqaluthey (will) sayرَبَّنَاrabbanaOur Lordلَاla(Do) notتَجۡعَلۡنَاtaj'alnaplace usمَعَma'awithٱلۡقَوۡمِal-qawmithe people ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَal-zaliminathe wrongdoers٤٧
7:48وَنَادَىٰٓwanadaAnd (will) call outأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(the) companionsٱلۡأَعۡرَافِal-a'rafi(of) the heightsرِجَالٗاrijalan(to) menيَعۡرِفُونَهُمya'rifunahumwhom they recognizeبِسِيمَىٰهُمۡbisimahumby their marksقَالُواْqalusayingمَآmaNotأَغۡنَىٰaghna(has) availedعَنكُمۡankum[to] youجَمۡعُكُمۡjam'ukumyour gatheringوَمَاwamaand whatكُنتُمۡkuntumyou wereتَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَtastakbirunaarrogant (about)٤٨
7:49أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِahaulaiAre theseٱلَّذِينَalladhinathe ones whomأَقۡسَمۡتُمۡaqsamtumyou had swornلَاla(that) notيَنَالُهُمُyanaluhumu(will) grant themٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahبِرَحۡمَةٍۚbirahmatinMercyٱدۡخُلُواْud'khuluEnterٱلۡجَنَّةَal-janataParadiseلَاla(There will be) noخَوۡفٌkhawfunfearعَلَيۡكُمۡalaykumupon youوَلَآwalaand notأَنتُمۡantumyouتَحۡزَنُونَtahzanunawill grieve٤٩
7:50وَنَادَىٰٓwanadaAnd (will) call outأَصۡحَٰبُashabu(the) companionsٱلنَّارِal-nari(of) the Fireأَصۡحَٰبَashaba(to the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janati(of) Paradiseأَنۡan[that]أَفِيضُواْafiduPourعَلَيۡنَاalaynaupon usمِنَmina[of]ٱلۡمَآءِal-mai(some) waterأَوۡaworمِمَّاmimmaof whatرَزَقَكُمُrazaqakumu(has been) provided (to) youٱللَّهُۚal-lahu(by) AllahقَالُوٓاْqaluThey (will) sayإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahحَرَّمَهُمَاharramahumahas forbidden bothعَلَىalatoٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَal-kafirinathe disbelievers٥٠
