7:76قَالَQ̣aalalSaidٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenasthose whoٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْtakbarooowere arrogantإِنَّاʹinnaaIndeed weبِٱلَّذِيٓbillaẓeeein that whichءَامَنتُمʹaamañtum̃you believeبِهِۦbiheein itكَٰفِرُونَkaafiroon.(are) disbelievers٧٦
7:77فَعَقَرُواْFaʻaq̣arunThen they hamstrungٱلنَّاقَةَNaaq̣atathe she-camelوَعَتَوۡاْwa-ʻatawand (were) insolentعَنۡʻantowardsأَمۡرِʹamri(the) commandرَبِّهِمۡRabbihim(of) their Lordوَقَالُواْwa-q̣aalooand they saidيَٰصَٰلِحُyaa-ṢaaliḥuʹO SalihٱئۡتِنَاtinaaBring usبِمَاbimaawhatتَعِدُنَآtaʻidunaaayou promise usإِنʹiñifكُنتَkuñtayou areمِنَminalofٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَmursaleen.the Messengers٧٧
7:78فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُFaʹakhaẓathumurSo seized themٱلرَّجۡفَةُrajfatuthe earthquakeفَأَصۡبَحُواْfaʹaṣbaḥoothen they becameفِيfeeinدَارِهِمۡdaarihimtheir homesجَٰثِمِينَjaas̤imeen.fallen prone٧٨
7:79فَتَوَلَّىٰFatawallaaSo he turned awayعَنۡهُمۡʻanhumfrom themوَقَالَwa-q̣aalaand he saidيَٰقَوۡمِyaa-q̣awmiO my peopleلَقَدۡlaq̣adVerilyأَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡʹablag̣tukumI have conveyed to youرِسَالَةَrisaalata(the) MessageرَبِّيRabbee(of) my Lordوَنَصَحۡتُwa-naṣaḥtuand [I] advisedلَكُمۡlakum[to] youوَلَٰكِنwa-laakilbutلَّاlaanotتُحِبُّونَtuḥibboonanyou likeٱلنَّٰصِحِينَnaaṣiḥeen.the advisers٧٩
7:80وَلُوطًاWa-LooṭanAnd Lutإِذۡʹiẓwhenقَالَq̣aalahe saidلِقَوۡمِهِۦٓliq̣awmiheeeto his peopleأَتَأۡتُونَʹataʹtoonalDo you commitٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَfaaḥishata(such) immoralityمَاmaa-notسَبَقَكُمsabaq̣akum̃has preceded youبِهَاbihaathereinمِنۡminanyأَحَدٖʹaḥadimoneمِّنَminalofٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَʻaalameen?the worlds٨٠
7:81إِنَّكُمۡʹInnakumIndeed youلَتَأۡتُونَlataʹtoonaryou approachٱلرِّجَالَrijaalathe menشَهۡوَةٗshahwatamlustfullyمِّنmiñfromدُونِdoonininstead ofٱلنِّسَآءِۚnisaaaʹ.the womenبَلۡBalNayأَنتُمۡʹañtumyouقَوۡمٞq̣awmum(are) a peopleمُّسۡرِفُونَmusrifoon.(who) commit excesses٨١
7:82وَمَاWa-maaAnd notكَانَkaanawasجَوَابَjawaaba(the) answerقَوۡمِهِۦٓq̣awmiheee(of) his peopleإِلَّآʹillaaaexceptأَنʹañthatقَالُوٓاْq̣aalooothey saidأَخۡرِجُوهُمʹakhrijoohumDrive them outمِّنmiñofقَرۡيَتِكُمۡۖq̣aryatikum:your townإِنَّهُمۡʹinnahumIndeed theyأُنَاسٞʹunaasuñy(are) peopleيَتَطَهَّرُونَyataṭahharoon!who keep themselves pure٨٢
7:83فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُFaʹañjaynaahuSo We saved himوَأَهۡلَهُۥٓwa-ʹahlahoooand his familyإِلَّاʹillamexceptٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥraʹatahoohis wifeكَانَتۡkaanatshe wasمِنَminalofٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَg̣aabireen.those who stayed behind٨٣
7:84وَأَمۡطَرۡنَاWa-ʹamṭarnaaAnd We showeredعَلَيۡهِمʻalayhimupon themمَّطَرٗاۖmaṭaraa:a rainفَٱنظُرۡfañz̤̣urSo seeكَيۡفَkayfahowكَانَkaanawasعَٰقِبَةُʻaaq̣ibatul(the) endٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَmujrimeen!(of) the criminals٨٤
7:85وَإِلَىٰWa-ʹilaaAnd toمَدۡيَنَMadyanaMadyanأَخَاهُمۡʹakhaahumtheir brotherشُعَيۡبٗاۚShuʻaybaa.ShuaibقَالَQ̣aalaHe saidيَٰقَوۡمِyaa-q̣awmiʻO my peopleٱعۡبُدُواْbudulWorshipٱللَّهَlaahaAllahمَاmaa-notلَكُمlakumfor youمِّنۡminanyإِلَٰهٍʹilaahingodغَيۡرُهُۥۖg̣ayruh.other than HimقَدۡQ̣adVerilyجَآءَتۡكُمjaaaʹatkum̃has came to youبَيِّنَةٞBayyinatuma clear proofمِّنmirfromرَّبِّكُمۡۖRabbikumyour LordفَأَوۡفُواْfaʹawfulSo give fullٱلۡكَيۡلَkayla[the] measureوَٱلۡمِيزَانَwalmeezaanaand the weightوَلَاwa-laaand (do) notتَبۡخَسُواْtabkhasundepriveٱلنَّاسَnaasa[the] peopleأَشۡيَآءَهُمۡʹashyaaaʹahumin their thingsوَلَاwa-laaand (do) notتُفۡسِدُواْtufsidoocause corruptionفِيfilinٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe earthبَعۡدَbaʻdaafterإِصۡلَٰحِهَاۚʹiṣlaaḥihaa:its reformationذَٰلِكُمۡẓaalikumThatخَيۡرٞkhayrul(is) betterلَّكُمۡlakumfor youإِنʹiñifكُنتُمkuñtumyou areمُّؤۡمِنِينَMuʹmineen.believers٨٥
7:86وَلَاWa-laaAnd (do) notتَقۡعُدُواْtaq̣ʻudoositبِكُلِّbikullion everyصِرَٰطٖsiraatiñpathتُوعِدُونَtooʻidoonathreateningوَتَصُدُّونَwa-taṣuddoonaand hinderingعَنʻañfromسَبِيلِSabeelil(the) wayٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahمَنۡman(those) whoءَامَنَʹaamanabelieveبِهِۦbiheein Himوَتَبۡغُونَهَاwa-tabg̣oonahaaand seeking (to make) itعِوَجٗاۚʻiwajaa.crookedوَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْWaẓ-kuroooAnd rememberإِذۡʹiẓwhenكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou wereقَلِيلٗاq̣aleelañfewفَكَثَّرَكُمۡۖfakas̤s̤arakum.and He increased youوَٱنظُرُواْWañz̤̣urooAnd seeكَيۡفَkayfahowكَانَkaanawasعَٰقِبَةُʻaaq̣ibatul(the) endٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَmufsideen.(of) the corrupters٨٦
7:87وَإِنWa-ʹiñAnd ifكَانَkaana(there) isطَآئِفَةٞṭaaaʹifatuma groupمِّنكُمۡmiñkumamong youءَامَنُواْʹaamanoo(who has) believedبِٱلَّذِيٓbillazeeein that whichأُرۡسِلۡتُʹursiltuI have been sentبِهِۦbiheewith [it]وَطَآئِفَةٞwaṭaaaʹifatuland a groupلَّمۡlamnotيُؤۡمِنُواْyuʹminoothey believeفَٱصۡبِرُواْfaṣbiroothen be patientحَتَّىٰḥattaauntilيَحۡكُمَyaḥkumaljudgesٱللَّهُlaahuAllahبَيۡنَنَاۚbaynanaa:between usوَهُوَwa-HuwaAnd HeخَيۡرُKhayrul(is the) BestٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَḤaakimeen.(of) [the] Judges٨٧
7:88۞قَالَQ̣aalalSaidٱلۡمَلَأُmalaʹulthe chiefsٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenas(of) those whoٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْtakbaroowere arrogantمِنmiñamongقَوۡمِهِۦq̣awmiheehis peopleلَنُخۡرِجَنَّكَlanukhrijannakaWe will surely drive you outيَٰشُعَيۡبُyaa-ShuʻaybuO ShuaibوَٱلَّذِينَwallaẓeenaAnd those whoءَامَنُواْʹaamanoo(have) believedمَعَكَmaʻakawith youمِنmiñfromقَرۡيَتِنَآq̣aryatinaaaour cityأَوۡʹaworلَتَعُودُنَّlataʻoodunnayou must returnفِيfeetoمِلَّتِنَاۚmillatinaa.our religionقَالَQ̣aalaHe saidأَوَلَوۡʹa-wa lawEven ifكُنَّاkunnaawe areكَٰرِهِينَkaariheen?(the) ones who hate (it)٨٨
7:89قَدِQ̣adifVerilyٱفۡتَرَيۡنَاtaraynaawe would have fabricatedعَلَىʻalalagainstٱللَّهِlaahiAllahكَذِبًاkaẓibana lieإِنۡʹinifعُدۡنَاʻudnaawe returnedفِيfeeinمِلَّتِكُمmillatikum̃your religionبَعۡدَbaʻdaafterإِذۡʹiẓ[when]نَجَّىٰنَاnajjaanalsaved usٱللَّهُlaahuAllahمِنۡهَاۚminhaa.from itوَمَاWa-maaAnd notيَكُونُyakoonuit isلَنَآlanaaafor usأَنʹanthatنَّعُودَnaʻoodawe returnفِيهَآfeehaaain itإِلَّآʹillaaaexceptأَنʹañythatيَشَآءَyashaaaʹalwillsٱللَّهُlaahuAllah رَبُّنَاۚRabbunaa.our LordوَسِعَWasiʻaEncompassesرَبُّنَاRabbunaa(by) Our Lordكُلَّkullaeveryشَيۡءٍshayʹinthingعِلۡمًاۚʻilmaa.(in) knowledgeعَلَىʻAlalUponٱللَّهِlaahiAllahتَوَكَّلۡنَاۚtawakkalnaa.we put our trustرَبَّنَاRabbanafOur LordٱفۡتَحۡtaḥDecideبَيۡنَنَاbaynanaabetween usوَبَيۡنَwa-baynaand betweenقَوۡمِنَاq̣awminaaour peopleبِٱلۡحَقِّbilḥaq̣q̣iin truthوَأَنتَwa-ʹAñtaand YouخَيۡرُKhayrul(are the) BestٱلۡفَٰتِحِينَFaatiḥeen.(of) those who Decide٨٩
7:90وَقَالَWa-q̣aalalAnd saidٱلۡمَلَأُmalaʹulthe chiefsٱلَّذِينَlaẓeena(of) those whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelievedمِنmiñamongقَوۡمِهِۦq̣awmiheehis peopleلَئِنِlaʹinitIfٱتَّبَعۡتُمۡtabaʻtumyou followشُعَيۡبًاShuʻaybanShuaibإِنَّكُمۡʹinnakumindeed youإِذٗاʹiẓalthenلَّخَٰسِرُونَlakhaasiroon!(will be) certainly losers٩٠
7:91فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُFaʹakhaẓathumurThen seized themٱلرَّجۡفَةُrajfatuthe earthquakeفَأَصۡبَحُواْfaʹaṣbaḥoothen they becameفِيfeeinدَارِهِمۡdaarihimtheir home(s)جَٰثِمِينَjaas̤imeen.fallen prone٩١
7:92ٱلَّذِينَʹAllaẓeenaThose whoكَذَّبُواْkaẓẓaboodeniedشُعَيۡبٗاShuʻaybañShuaibكَأَنkaʹal(became) as ifلَّمۡlamnotيَغۡنَوۡاْyag̣nawthey (had) livedفِيهَاۚfeehalthereinٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenaThose whoكَذَّبُواْkaẓẓaboodeniedشُعَيۡبٗاShuʻaybañShuaibكَانُواْkaanoothey wereهُمُhumulthemٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَkhaasireen!the losers٩٢
7:93فَتَوَلَّىٰFatawallaaSo he turned awayعَنۡهُمۡʹanhumfrom themوَقَالَwa-q̣aalaand saidيَٰقَوۡمِyaa-q̣awmiO my peopleلَقَدۡlaq̣adVerilyأَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡʹablag̣tukumI (have) conveyed to youرِسَٰلَٰتِrisaalaati(the) MessagesرَبِّيRabbee(of) my Lordوَنَصَحۡتُwa-naṣaḥtuand advisedلَكُمۡۖlakum;[to] youفَكَيۡفَfakayfaSo how couldءَاسَىٰʹaasaaI grieveعَلَىٰʻalaaforقَوۡمٖq̣awmiña peopleكَٰفِرِينَkaafireen.(who are) disbelievers٩٣
7:94وَمَآWa-maaaAnd notأَرۡسَلۡنَاʹarsalnaaWe sentفِيfeeinقَرۡيَةٖq̣aryatima cityمِّنminanyنَّبِيٍّnabiyyinProphetإِلَّآʹillaaaexceptأَخَذۡنَآʹakhaẓnaaaWe seizedأَهۡلَهَاʹahlahaaits peopleبِٱلۡبَأۡسَآءِbil-baʹsaaaʹiwith adversityوَٱلضَّرَّآءِwaḍḍarraaaʹiand hardshipلَعَلَّهُمۡlaʻallahumso that they mayيَضَّرَّعُونَyaḍḍarraʻoon.(become) humble٩٤
7:95ثُمَّS̤ummaThenبَدَّلۡنَاbaddalnaaWe changedمَكَانَmakaanas(in) placeٱلسَّيِّئَةِsayyiʹatil(of) the badٱلۡحَسَنَةَḥasanatathe goodحَتَّىٰḥattaauntilعَفَواْʻafawthey increasedوَّقَالُواْWaq̣aalooand saidقَدۡq̣adVerilyمَسَّmassa(had) touchedءَابَآءَنَاʹaabaaaʹanaḍour forefathersٱلضَّرَّآءُḍarraaaʹuthe adversityوَٱلسَّرَّآءُwassarraaaʹuand the easeفَأَخَذۡنَٰهُمfaʹakhaẓnaahum̃So We seized themبَغۡتَةٗbag̣tatañwsuddenlyوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyلَاlaa-(did) notيَشۡعُرُونَyashʻuroon.perceive٩٥
7:96وَلَوۡWa-lawAnd ifأَنَّʹanna[that]أَهۡلَʹahlalpeopleٱلۡقُرَىٰٓq̣uraaa(of) the citiesءَامَنُواْʹaamanoo(had) believedوَٱتَّقَوۡاْwattaq̣awand feared Allahلَفَتَحۡنَاlafataḥnaasurely We (would have) openedعَلَيۡهِمʻalayhimupon themبَرَكَٰتٖbarakaatimblessingsمِّنَminasfromٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe heavenوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ʹarḍiand the earthوَلَٰكِنwa-laakiñbutكَذَّبُواْkaẓẓaboothey deniedفَأَخَذۡنَٰهُمfaʹakhaẓnaahum̃So We seized themبِمَاbimaafor whatكَانُواْkaanoothey used toيَكۡسِبُونَyaksiboon.earn٩٦
7:97أَفَأَمِنَʹA-faʹaminaThen did feel secureأَهۡلُahlul(the) peopleٱلۡقُرَىٰٓq̣uraaa(of) the citiesأَنʹañythatيَأۡتِيَهُمyaʹtiyahumcomes to themبَأۡسُنَاbaʹsunaaOur punishmentبَيَٰتٗاbayaatañw(at) nightوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyنَآئِمُونَnaaaʹimoon?(were) asleep٩٧
7:98أَوَأَمِنَʹA-waʹaminaOr felt secureأَهۡلُʹahlul(the) peopleٱلۡقُرَىٰٓq̣uraaa(of) the citiesأَنʹañythatيَأۡتِيَهُمyaʹtiyahumcomes to themبَأۡسُنَاbaʹsunaaOur punishmentضُحٗىḍuḥañw(in) daylightوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyيَلۡعَبُونَyalʻaboon?(were) playing٩٨
7:99أَفَأَمِنُواْʹA-faʹaminooThen did they feel secureمَكۡرَmakral(from the) planٱللَّهِۚlaaḥ?(of) AllahفَلَاFalaaBut notيَأۡمَنُyaʹmanufeel secureمَكۡرَmakral(from the) planٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahإِلَّاʹillalexceptٱلۡقَوۡمُq̣awmulthe peopleٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَkhaasiroon!(who are) the losers٩٩
7:100أَوَلَمۡʹA-walamWould it notيَهۡدِyahdiguideلِلَّذِينَlillaẓeena[for] those whoيَرِثُونَyaris̤oonalinheritٱلۡأَرۡضَʹarḍathe landمِنۢmimfromبَعۡدِbaʻdiafterأَهۡلِهَآʹahlihaaaits peopleأَنʹalthatلَّوۡlawifنَشَآءُnashaaaʹuWe willedأَصَبۡنَٰهُمʹaṣabnaahum̃We (could) afflict themبِذُنُوبِهِمۡۚbiẓunoobihim,for their sinsوَنَطۡبَعُwa-naṭbaʻuand We put a sealعَلَىٰʻalaaoverقُلُوبِهِمۡq̣uloobihimtheir heartsفَهُمۡfahumso theyلَاlaa-(do) notيَسۡمَعُونَyasmaʻoon?hear١٠٠
