Those who
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
takhaẓoo
took
دِينَهُمۡ
deenahum
their religion
لَهۡوٗا
lahwañw
(as) an amusement
وَلَعِبٗا
walaʻibañw
and play
وَغَرَّتۡهُمُ
wag̣arrathumul
and deluded them
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ
ḥayaatud
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ
dunyaa.
(of) the world
فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ
Fal-yawma
So today
نَنسَىٰهُمۡ
nañsaahum
We forget them
كَمَا
kamaa
as
نَسُواْ
nasoo
they forgot
لِقَآءَ
liq̣aaaʹa
(the) meeting
يَوۡمِهِمۡ
yawmihim
(of) their day
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
وَمَا
wa-maa
and [what]
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
(as) they used to
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biʹAayaatinaa
with Our Verses
يَجۡحَدُونَ
yajḥadoon.
they reject

7:52
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
جِئۡنَٰهُم
jiʹnaahum̃
We had brought them
بِكِتَٰبٖ
bi-Kitaabiñ
a Book
فَصَّلۡنَٰهُ
faṣṣalnaahu
which We have explained
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
with
عِلۡمٍ
ʻilmin
knowledge
هُدٗى
hudañw
as guidance
وَرَحۡمَةٗ
waraḥmatal
and mercy
لِّقَوۡمٖ
liq̣awmiñy
for a people
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoon.
who believe
٥٢
7:53
هَلۡ
Hal
Do
يَنظُرُونَ
yañz̤̣uroona
they wait
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
تَأۡوِيلَهُۥۚ
taʹweelah?
(for) its fulfillment
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(The) Day
يَأۡتِي
yaʹtee
(will) come
تَأۡوِيلُهُۥ
taʹweeluhoo
its fulfillment
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolul
will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
نَسُوهُ
nasoohu
had forgotten it
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلُ
q̣ablu
before
قَدۡ
q̣ad
Verily
جَآءَتۡ
jaaaʹat
had come
رُسُلُ
rusulu
(the) Messengers
رَبِّنَا
Rabbinaa
(of) our Lord
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bilḥaq̣q̣.
with the truth
فَهَل
Fahal
so are (there)
لَّنَا
lanaa
for us
مِن
miñ
any
شُفَعَآءَ
shufaʻaaaʹa
intercessors
فَيَشۡفَعُواْ
fayashfaʻoo
so (that) they intercede
لَنَآ
lanaaa
for us
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
نُرَدُّ
nuraddu
we are sent back
فَنَعۡمَلَ
fanaʻmala
so (that) we do (deeds)
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayral
other than
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
that which
كُنَّا
kunnaa
we used to
نَعۡمَلُۚ
naʻmal?
do
قَدۡ
Q̣ad
Verily
خَسِرُوٓاْ
khasirooo
they lost
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
ʹañfusahum
themselves
وَضَلَّ
wa-ḍalla
and strayed
عَنۡهُم
ʻanhum
from them
مَّا
maa
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
يَفۡتَرُونَ
yaftaroon.
invent
٥٣
7:54
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
رَبَّكُمُ
Rabbakumul
your Lord
ٱللَّهُ
laahul
(is) Allah
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaq̣as
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-ʹarḍa
and the earth
فِي
fee
in
سِتَّةِ
sittati
six
أَيَّامٖ
ʹayyaamiñ
epochs
ثُمَّ
s̤ummas
then
ٱسۡتَوَىٰ
tawaa
He ascended
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ
ʻarsh.
the Throne
يُغۡشِي
Yug̣shil
He covers
ٱلَّيۡلَ
laylan
the night
ٱلنَّهَارَ
nahaara
(with) the day
يَطۡلُبُهُۥ
yaṭlubuhoo
seeking it
حَثِيثٗا
ḥas̤ees̤añw
rapidly
وَٱلشَّمۡسَ
washshamsa
and the sun
وَٱلۡقَمَرَ
wal-q̣amara
and the moon
وَٱلنُّجُومَ
wan-nujooma
and the stars
مُسَخَّرَٰتِۭ
musakh-Kharaatim
subjected
بِأَمۡرِهِۦٓۗ
biʹamrih.
by His command
أَلَا
ʹAlaa
Unquestionably
لَهُ
lahul
for Him
ٱلۡخَلۡقُ
Khalq̣u
(is) the creation
وَٱلۡأَمۡرُۗ
wal-ʹAmr.
and the command
تَبَارَكَ
Tabaarakal
blessed
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(is) Allah
رَبُّ
Rabbul
Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen!
(of) the worlds
٥٤
7:55
ٱدۡعُواْ
ʹUdʻoo
Call upon
رَبَّكُمۡ
Rabbakum
your Lord
تَضَرُّعٗا
taḍarruʻañw
humbly
وَخُفۡيَةًۚ
wakhufyah:
and privately
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
love
ٱلۡمُعۡتَدِينَ
muʻtadeen.
the transgressors
٥٥
7:56
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تُفۡسِدُواْ
tufsidoo
cause corruption
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
إِصۡلَٰحِهَا
ʹiṣlaaḥihaa
its reformation
وَٱدۡعُوهُ
wadʻoohu
And call Him
خَوۡفٗا
khawfañw
(in) fear
وَطَمَعًاۚ
waṭamaʻaa:
and hope
إِنَّ
ʹinna
Indeed
رَحۡمَتَ
Raḥmatal
(the) Mercy
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
قَرِيبٞ
q̣areebum
(is) near
مِّنَ
minal
for
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Muḥsineen.
the good-doers
٥٦
7:57
وَهُوَ
Wa-Huwal
And He
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
يُرۡسِلُ
yursilur
sends
ٱلرِّيَٰحَ
riyaaḥa
the winds
بُشۡرَۢا
bushram
(as) glad tidings
بَيۡنَ
bayna
from
يَدَيۡ
yaday
before
رَحۡمَتِهِۦۖ
raḥmatih:
His Mercy
حَتَّىٰٓ
ḥattaaa
until
إِذَآ
ʹiẓaaa
when
أَقَلَّتۡ
ʹaq̣allat
they have carried
سَحَابٗا
saḥaabañ
clouds
ثِقَالٗا
s̤iq̣aalañ
heavy
سُقۡنَٰهُ
suq̣naahu
We drive them
لِبَلَدٖ
libaladim
to a land
مَّيِّتٖ
mayyitiñ
dead
فَأَنزَلۡنَا
faʹañzalnaa
then We send down
بِهِ
bihil
from it
ٱلۡمَآءَ
maaaʹa
the water
فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا
faʹakhrajnaa
then We bring forth
بِهِۦ
bihee
from it
مِن
miñ
(of)
كُلِّ
kullis̤
all (kinds)
ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِۚ
s̤amaraat.
(of) fruits
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
نُخۡرِجُ
nukhrijul
We will bring forth
ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ
mawtaa
the dead
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَذَكَّرُونَ
taẓakkaroon.
take heed
٥٧

7:58
وَٱلۡبَلَدُ
Walbaladuṭ
And the land
ٱلطَّيِّبُ
ṭayyibu
[the] pure
يَخۡرُجُ
yakhruju
comes forth
نَبَاتُهُۥ
nabaatuhoo
its vegetation
بِإِذۡنِ
biʹiẓni
by (the) permission
رَبِّهِۦۖ
Rabbih:
(of) its Lord
وَٱلَّذِي
wallaẓee
but which
خَبُثَ
khabus̤a
is bad
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يَخۡرُجُ
yakhruju
come forth
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
نَكِدٗاۚ
nakidaa.
(with) difficulty
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
نُصَرِّفُ
nuṣarriful
We explain
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ
ʹAayaati
the Signs
لِقَوۡمٖ
liq̣awmiñy
for a people
يَشۡكُرُونَ
yashkuroon.
who are grateful
٥٨
7:59
لَقَدۡ
Laq̣ad
Certainly
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
نُوحًا
Nooḥan
Nuh
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
قَوۡمِهِۦ
q̣awmihee
his people
فَقَالَ
faq̣aala
and he said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmiʻ
O my people
ٱعۡبُدُواْ
budul
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَا
maa-
not
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ʹilaahin
god
غَيۡرُهُۥٓ
g̣ayruh.
other than Him
إِنِّيٓ
ʹInneee
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
[I] fear
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
for you
عَذَابَ
ʻaẓaaba
punishment
يَوۡمٍ
Yawmin
(of the) Day
عَظِيمٖ
ʻaz̤̣eem!
Great
٥٩
7:60
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
malaʹu
the chiefs
مِن
miñ
of
قَوۡمِهِۦٓ
q̣aw-miheee
his people
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
لَنَرَىٰكَ
lanaraaka
surely see you
فِي
fee
in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaalim
error
مُّبِينٖ
mubeen.
clear
٦٠
7:61
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
لَيۡسَ
laysa
There is not
بِي
bee
in me
ضَلَٰلَةٞ
ḍalaalatuñw
error
وَلَٰكِنِّي
walaakinnee
but I am
رَسُولٞ
Rasoolum
a Messenger
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّ
Rabbil
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen.
(of) the worlds
٦١
7:62
أُبَلِّغُكُمۡ
ʹUballig̣ukum
I convey to you
رِسَٰلَٰتِ
risaalaati
the Messages
رَبِّي
Rabbee
(of) my Lord
وَأَنصَحُ
wa-ʹañṣaḥu
and [I] advise
لَكُمۡ
lakum
[to] you
وَأَعۡلَمُ
wa-ʹaʻlamu
and I know
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مَا
maa-
what
لَا
laa-
not
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoon.
you know
٦٢
7:63
أَوَعَجِبۡتُمۡ
ʹAwaʻajibtum
Do you wonder
أَن
ʹañ
that
جَآءَكُمۡ
jaaaʹakum
has come to you
ذِكۡرٞ
ẓikrum
a reminder
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡ
Rabbikum
your Lord
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
رَجُلٖ
rajulim
a man
مِّنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
لِيُنذِرَكُمۡ
liyuñẓirakum
that he may warn you
وَلِتَتَّقُواْ
wa-litattaq̣oo
and that you may fear
وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ
wa-laʻallakum
and so that you may
تُرۡحَمُونَ
turḥamoon.
receive mercy
٦٣
7:64
فَكَذَّبُوهُ
Fakaẓẓaboohu
But they denied him
فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ
faʹañjaynaahu
so We saved him
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those who
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
(were) with him
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡفُلۡكِ
Fulki
the ship
وَأَغۡرَقۡنَا
wa-ʹag̣raq̣nal
And We drowned
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓaboo
denied
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآۚ
biʹAayaatinaa.
Our Verses
إِنَّهُمۡ
ʹInnahum
Indeed they
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
were
قَوۡمًا
q̣awman
a people
عَمِينَ
ʻameen.
blind
٦٤
7:65
۞وَإِلَىٰ
Wa-ʹilaa
And to
عَادٍ
ʻAadin
Aad
أَخَاهُمۡ
ʹakhaahum
(We sent) their brother
هُودٗاۚ
Hoodaa.
Hud
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmiʻ
O my people
ٱعۡبُدُواْ
budul
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَا
maa-
not
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ʹilaahin
god
غَيۡرُهُۥٓۚ
g̣ayruh.
other than Him
أَفَلَا
ʹAfalaa
Then will not
تَتَّقُونَ
tattaq̣oon?
you fear (Allah)
٦٥
7:66
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
malaʹul
the chiefs
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
مِن
miñ
from
قَوۡمِهِۦٓ
q̣awmiheee
his people
إِنَّا
innaa
Indeed we
لَنَرَىٰكَ
lanaraaka
surely see you
فِي
fee
in
سَفَاهَةٖ
safaahatiñw
foolishness
وَإِنَّا
waʹinnaa
and indeed we
لَنَظُنُّكَ
lanaz̤̣unnuka
[we] think you
مِنَ
minal
(are) of
ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
kaaẓibeen.
the liars
٦٦
7:67
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
لَيۡسَ
laysa
There is not
بِي
bee
in me
سَفَاهَةٞ
safaahatuñw
foolishness
وَلَٰكِنِّي
walaakinnee
but I am
رَسُولٞ
Rasoolum
a Messenger
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّ
Rabbil
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻAalameen.
(of) the worlds
٦٧

أُبَلِّغُكُمۡ
ʹUballig̣ukum
I convey to you
رِسَٰلَٰتِ
risaalaati
Messages
رَبِّي
Rabbee
(of) my Lord
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ʹana
and I am
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
نَاصِحٌ
naaṣiḥun
an adviser
أَمِينٌ
ʹameen.
trustworthy
٦٨
7:69
أَوَعَجِبۡتُمۡ
ʹAwaʻajibtum
Do you wonder
أَن
ʹañ
that
جَآءَكُمۡ
jaaaʹakum
has come to you
ذِكۡرٞ
ẓikrum
a reminder
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡ
Rabbikum
your Lord
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
رَجُلٖ
rajulim
a man
مِّنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
لِيُنذِرَكُمۡۚ
liyuñẓirakum?
that he may warn you
وَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ
Waẓkurooo
And remember
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
جَعَلَكُمۡ
jaʻalakum
He made you
خُلَفَآءَ
khulafaaaʹa
successors
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
قَوۡمِ
q̣awmi
(the) people
نُوحٖ
Nooḥiñw
(of) Nuh
وَزَادَكُمۡ
Wazaadakum
and increased you
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡخَلۡقِ
khalq̣i
the stature
بَصۜۡطَةٗۖ
basṭah.
extensively
فَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ
Faẓkurooo
So remember
ءَالَآءَ
ʹaalaaaʹal
(the) Bounties
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تُفۡلِحُونَ
tufliḥoon.
succeed
٦٩
7:70
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
أَجِئۡتَنَا
ʹajiʹtanaa
Have you come to us
لِنَعۡبُدَ
linaʻbudal
that we (should) worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
وَحۡدَهُۥ
Waḥdahoo
Alone
وَنَذَرَ
Wanaẓara
and we forsake
مَا
maa-
what
كَانَ
kaana
used to
يَعۡبُدُ
yaʻbudu
worship
ءَابَآؤُنَا
ʹaabaaaʹunaa?
our forefathers
فَأۡتِنَا
Faʹtinaa
Then bring us
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعِدُنَآ
taʻidunaaa
you promise us
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتَ
kuñta
you are
مِنَ
minaṣ
of
ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
ṣaadiq̣een!
the truthful
٧٠
7:71
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
قَدۡ
q̣ad
Verily
وَقَعَ
waq̣aʻa
has fallen
عَلَيۡكُم
ʻalaykum
upon you
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡ
Rabbikum
your Lord
رِجۡسٞ
rijsuñw
punishment
وَغَضَبٌۖ
wag̣aḍab.
and anger
أَتُجَٰدِلُونَنِي
ʹAtujaadiloonanee
Do you dispute with me
فِيٓ
feee
concerning
أَسۡمَآءٖ
ʹasmaaaʹiñ
names
سَمَّيۡتُمُوهَآ
sammaytumoohaaa
you have named them
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
you
وَءَابَآؤُكُم
wa-ʹaabaaaʹukum
and your forefathers
مَّا
maa
Not
نَزَّلَ
nazzalal
(has been) sent down
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(by) Allah
بِهَا
bihaa
for it
مِن
miñ
any
سُلۡطَٰنٖۚ
sulṭaan?
authority
فَٱنتَظِرُوٓاْ
Fañtaz̤̣irooo
Then wait
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
indeed I am
مَعَكُم
maʻakum
with you
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُنتَظِرِينَ
muñtaz̤̣ireen.
the ones who wait
٧١
7:72
فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ
Faʹañjaynaahu
So We saved him
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
with him
بِرَحۡمَةٖ
biraḥmatim
by Mercy
مِّنَّا
minnaa
from Us
وَقَطَعۡنَا
wa-q̣aṭaʻnaa
And We cut off
دَابِرَ
daabiral
the roots
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓaboo
denied
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَاۖ
biʹAayaatinaa
Our Signs
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they were
مُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen.
believers
٧٢
7:73
وَإِلَىٰ
Wa-ʹilaa
And to
ثَمُودَ
S̤amooda
Thamud
أَخَاهُمۡ
ʹakhaahum
(We sent) their brother
صَٰلِحٗاۚ
Ṣaaliḥaa.
Salih
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmiʻ
O my people
ٱعۡبُدُواْ
budul
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَا
maa-
not
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ʹilaahin
god
غَيۡرُهُۥۖ
g̣ayruh.
other than Him
قَدۡ
Q̣ad
Verily
جَآءَتۡكُم
jaaaʹatkum̃
has come to you
بَيِّنَةٞ
Bayyinatum
a clear proof
مِّن
Mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡۖ
Rabbikum
your Lord
هَٰذِهِۦ
Haaẓihee
This
نَاقَةُ
Naaq̣atul
(is) a she-camel
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
لَكُمۡ
lakum
(it is) for you
ءَايَةٗۖ
ʹAayatañ
a Sign
فَذَرُوهَا
faẓaroohaa
So you leave her
تَأۡكُلۡ
taʹkulʻ
(to) eat
فِيٓ
feee
on
أَرۡضِ
ʹarḍil
(the) earth
ٱللَّهِۖ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَمَسُّوهَا
tamassoohaa
touch her
بِسُوٓءٖ
bisoooʹiñ
with harm
فَيَأۡخُذَكُمۡ
fayaʹkhuẓakum
lest seizes you
عَذَابٌ
aẓaabun
a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
ʹaleem.

وَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ
Waẓkurooo
And remember
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
جَعَلَكُمۡ
jaʻalakum
He made you
خُلَفَآءَ
khulafaaaʹa
successors
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
عَادٖ
ʻAadiñw
Aad
وَبَوَّأَكُمۡ
Wabawwaʹakum
and settled you
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
تَتَّخِذُونَ
tatta-Khiẓoona
You take
مِن
miñ
from
سُهُولِهَا
suhoolihaa
its plains
قُصُورٗا
q̣uṣoorañw
palaces
وَتَنۡحِتُونَ
watanḥitoonal
and you carve out
ٱلۡجِبَالَ
jibaala
the mountains
بُيُوتٗاۖ
buyootaa.
(as) homes
فَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ
Faẓkurooo
So remember
ءَالَآءَ
ʹaalaaaʹal
(the) Bounties
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَعۡثَوۡاْ
taʻs̤aw
act wickedly
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
(the) earth
مُفۡسِدِينَ
mufsideen.
spreading corruption
٧٤
7:75
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
malaʹul
the chiefs
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenas
those
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ
takbaroo
(who) were arrogant
مِن
miñ
among
قَوۡمِهِۦ
q̣awmihee
his people
لِلَّذِينَ

ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُواْ

were oppressed
لِمَنۡ
liman
[to] those who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believed
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
among them
أَتَعۡلَمُونَ
ʹataʻlamoona
Do you know
أَنَّ
ʹanna
that
صَٰلِحٗا
Ṣaliḥam
Salih
مُّرۡسَلٞ
mursalum
(is the) one sent
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّهِۦۚ
Rabbih?
his Lord
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
بِمَآ
bimaaa
in what
أُرۡسِلَ
ʹursila
he has been sent
بِهِۦ
bihee
with [it]
مُؤۡمِنُونَ
Muʹminoon.
(are) believers
٧٥
7:76
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenas
those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوٓاْ
takbarooo
were arrogant
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
بِٱلَّذِيٓ
billaẓeee
in that which
ءَامَنتُم
ʹaamañtum̃
you believe
بِهِۦ
bihee
in it
كَٰفِرُونَ
kaafiroon.
(are) disbelievers
٧٦
7:77
فَعَقَرُواْ
Faʻaq̣arun
Then they hamstrung
ٱلنَّاقَةَ
Naaq̣ata
the she-camel
وَعَتَوۡاْ
wa-ʻataw
and (were) insolent
عَنۡ
ʻan
towards
أَمۡرِ
ʹamri
(the) command
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
(of) their Lord
وَقَالُواْ
wa-q̣aaloo
and they said
يَٰصَٰلِحُ
yaa-Ṣaaliḥuʹ
O Salih
ٱئۡتِنَا
tinaa
Bring us
بِمَا
bimaa
what
تَعِدُنَآ
taʻidunaaa
you promise us
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتَ
kuñta
you are
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
mursaleen.
the Messengers
٧٧
7:78
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ
Faʹakhaẓathumur
So seized them
ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ
rajfatu
the earthquake
فَأَصۡبَحُواْ
faʹaṣbaḥoo
then they became
فِي
fee
in
دَارِهِمۡ
daarihim
their homes
جَٰثِمِينَ
jaas̤imeen.
fallen prone
٧٨
7:79
فَتَوَلَّىٰ
Fatawallaa
So he turned away
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
from them
وَقَالَ
wa-q̣aala
and he said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
لَقَدۡ
laq̣ad
Verily
أَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡ
ʹablag̣tukum
I have conveyed to you
رِسَالَةَ
risaalata
(the) Message
رَبِّي
Rabbee
(of) my Lord
وَنَصَحۡتُ
wa-naṣaḥtu
and [I] advised
لَكُمۡ
lakum
[to] you
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakil
but
لَّا
laa
not
تُحِبُّونَ
tuḥibboonan
you like
ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ
naaṣiḥeen.
the advisers
٧٩
7:80
وَلُوطًا
Wa-Looṭan
And Lut
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ
liq̣awmiheee
to his people
أَتَأۡتُونَ
ʹataʹtoonal
Do you commit
ٱلۡفَٰحِشَةَ
faaḥishata
(such) immorality
مَا
maa-
not
سَبَقَكُم
sabaq̣akum̃
has preceded you
بِهَا
bihaa
therein
مِنۡ
min
any
أَحَدٖ
ʹaḥadim
one
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
ʻaalameen?
the worlds
٨٠
7:81
إِنَّكُمۡ
ʹInnakum
Indeed you
لَتَأۡتُونَ
lataʹtoonar
you approach
ٱلرِّجَالَ
rijaala
the men
شَهۡوَةٗ
shahwatam
lustfully
مِّن
miñ
from
دُونِ
doonin
instead of
ٱلنِّسَآءِۚ
nisaaaʹ.
the women
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
you
قَوۡمٞ
q̣awmum
(are) a people
مُّسۡرِفُونَ
musrifoon.
(who) commit excesses
٨١

7:82
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
كَانَ
kaana
was
جَوَابَ
jawaaba
(the) answer
قَوۡمِهِۦٓ
q̣awmiheee
(of) his people
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
أَن
ʹañ
that
قَالُوٓاْ
q̣aalooo
they said
أَخۡرِجُوهُم
ʹakhrijoohum
Drive them out
مِّن
miñ
of
قَرۡيَتِكُمۡۖ
q̣aryatikum:
your town
إِنَّهُمۡ
ʹinnahum
Indeed they
أُنَاسٞ
ʹunaasuñy
(are) people
يَتَطَهَّرُونَ
yataṭahharoon!
who keep themselves pure
٨٢
7:83
فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ
Faʹañjaynaahu
So We saved him
وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ
wa-ʹahlahooo
and his family
إِلَّا
ʹillam
except
ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ
raʹatahoo
his wife
كَانَتۡ
kaanat
she was
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ
g̣aabireen.
those who stayed behind
٨٣
7:84
وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا
Wa-ʹamṭarnaa
And We showered
عَلَيۡهِم
ʻalayhim
upon them
مَّطَرٗاۖ
maṭaraa:
a rain
فَٱنظُرۡ
fañz̤̣ur
So see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kaana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
ʻaaq̣ibatul
(the) end
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
mujrimeen!
(of) the criminals
٨٤
7:85
وَإِلَىٰ
Wa-ʹilaa
And to
مَدۡيَنَ
Madyana
Madyan
أَخَاهُمۡ
ʹakhaahum
their brother
شُعَيۡبٗاۚ
Shuʻaybaa.
Shuaib
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmiʻ
O my people
ٱعۡبُدُواْ
budul
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَا
maa-
not
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ʹilaahin
god
غَيۡرُهُۥۖ
g̣ayruh.
other than Him
قَدۡ
Q̣ad
Verily
جَآءَتۡكُم
jaaaʹatkum̃
has came to you
بَيِّنَةٞ
Bayyinatum
a clear proof
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡۖ
Rabbikum
your Lord
فَأَوۡفُواْ
faʹawful
So give full
ٱلۡكَيۡلَ
kayla
[the] measure
وَٱلۡمِيزَانَ
walmeezaana
and the weight
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَبۡخَسُواْ
tabkhasun
deprive
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
[the] people
أَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ
ʹashyaaaʹahum
in their things
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تُفۡسِدُواْ
tufsidoo
cause corruption
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
إِصۡلَٰحِهَاۚ
ʹiṣlaaḥihaa:
its reformation
ذَٰلِكُمۡ
ẓaalikum
That
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) better
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُم
kuñtum
you are
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen.
believers
٨٥
7:86
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَقۡعُدُواْ
taq̣ʻudoo
sit
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
on every
صِرَٰطٖ
siraatiñ
path
تُوعِدُونَ
tooʻidoona
threatening
وَتَصُدُّونَ
wa-taṣuddoona
and hindering
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
مَنۡ
man
(those) who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believe
بِهِۦ
bihee
in Him
وَتَبۡغُونَهَا
wa-tabg̣oonahaa
and seeking (to make) it
عِوَجٗاۚ
ʻiwajaa.
crooked
وَٱذۡكُرُوٓاْ
Waẓ-kurooo
And remember
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you were
قَلِيلٗا
q̣aleelañ
few
فَكَثَّرَكُمۡۖ
fakas̤s̤arakum.
and He increased you
وَٱنظُرُواْ
Wañz̤̣uroo
And see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kaana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
ʻaaq̣ibatul
(the) end
ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
mufsideen.
(of) the corrupters
٨٦
7:87
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
And if
كَانَ
kaana
(there) is
طَآئِفَةٞ
ṭaaaʹifatum
a group
مِّنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
(who has) believed
بِٱلَّذِيٓ
billazeee
in that which
أُرۡسِلۡتُ
ʹursiltu
I have been sent
بِهِۦ
bihee
with [it]
وَطَآئِفَةٞ
waṭaaaʹifatul
and a group
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يُؤۡمِنُواْ
yuʹminoo
they believe
فَٱصۡبِرُواْ
faṣbiroo
then be patient
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
يَحۡكُمَ
yaḥkumal
judges
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
بَيۡنَنَاۚ
baynanaa:
between us
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwa
And He
خَيۡرُ
Khayrul
(is the) Best
ٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَ
Ḥaakimeen.
(of) [the] Judges
٨٧

7:88
۞قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
malaʹul
the chiefs
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenas
(of) those who
ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ
takbaroo
were arrogant
مِن
miñ
among
قَوۡمِهِۦ
q̣awmihee
his people
لَنُخۡرِجَنَّكَ
lanukhrijannaka
We will surely drive you out
يَٰشُعَيۡبُ
yaa-Shuʻaybu
O Shuaib
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
And those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
(have) believed
مَعَكَ
maʻaka
with you
مِن
miñ
from
قَرۡيَتِنَآ
q̣aryatinaaa
our city
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
لَتَعُودُنَّ
lataʻoodunna
you must return
فِي
fee
to
مِلَّتِنَاۚ
millatinaa.
our religion
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
أَوَلَوۡ
ʹa-wa law
Even if
كُنَّا
kunnaa
we are
كَٰرِهِينَ
kaariheen?
(the) ones who hate (it)
٨٨
7:89
قَدِ
Q̣adif
Verily
ٱفۡتَرَيۡنَا
taraynaa
we would have fabricated
عَلَى
ʻalal
against
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
كَذِبًا
kaẓiban
a lie
إِنۡ
ʹin
if
عُدۡنَا
ʻudnaa
we returned
فِي
fee
in
مِلَّتِكُم
millatikum̃
your religion
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
[when]
نَجَّىٰنَا
najjaanal
saved us
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
مِنۡهَاۚ
minhaa.
from it
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
يَكُونُ
yakoonu
it is
لَنَآ
lanaaa
for us
أَن
ʹan
that
نَّعُودَ
naʻooda
we return
فِيهَآ
feehaaa
in it
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَشَآءَ
yashaaaʹal
wills
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
رَبُّنَاۚ
Rabbunaa.
our Lord
وَسِعَ
Wasiʻa
Encompasses
رَبُّنَا
Rabbunaa
(by) Our Lord
كُلَّ
kulla
every
شَيۡءٍ
shayʹin
thing
عِلۡمًاۚ
ʻilmaa.
(in) knowledge
عَلَى
ʻAlal
Upon
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
تَوَكَّلۡنَاۚ
tawakkalnaa.
we put our trust
رَبَّنَا
Rabbanaf
Our Lord
ٱفۡتَحۡ
taḥ
Decide
بَيۡنَنَا
baynanaa
between us
وَبَيۡنَ
wa-bayna
and between
قَوۡمِنَا
q̣awminaa
our people
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bilḥaq̣q̣i
in truth
وَأَنتَ
wa-ʹAñta
and You
خَيۡرُ
Khayrul
(are the) Best
ٱلۡفَٰتِحِينَ
Faatiḥeen.
(of) those who Decide
٨٩
7:90
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aalal
And said
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
malaʹul
the chiefs
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
مِن
miñ
among
قَوۡمِهِۦ
q̣awmihee
his people
لَئِنِ
laʹinit
If
ٱتَّبَعۡتُمۡ
tabaʻtum
you follow
شُعَيۡبًا
Shuʻayban
Shuaib
إِنَّكُمۡ
ʹinnakum
indeed you
إِذٗا
ʹiẓal
then
لَّخَٰسِرُونَ
lakhaasiroon!
(will be) certainly losers
٩٠
7:91
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ
Faʹakhaẓathumur
Then seized them
ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ
rajfatu
the earthquake
فَأَصۡبَحُواْ
faʹaṣbaḥoo
then they became
فِي
fee
in
دَارِهِمۡ
daarihim
their home(s)
جَٰثِمِينَ
jaas̤imeen.
fallen prone
٩١
7:92
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓaboo
denied
شُعَيۡبٗا
Shuʻaybañ
Shuaib
كَأَن
kaʹal
(became) as if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَغۡنَوۡاْ
yag̣naw
they (had) lived
فِيهَاۚ
feehal
therein
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
Those who
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓaboo
denied
شُعَيۡبٗا
Shuʻaybañ
Shuaib
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they were
هُمُ
humul
them
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
khaasireen!
the losers
٩٢
7:93
فَتَوَلَّىٰ
Fatawallaa
So he turned away
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʹanhum
from them
وَقَالَ
wa-q̣aala
and said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
لَقَدۡ
laq̣ad
Verily
أَبۡلَغۡتُكُمۡ
ʹablag̣tukum
I (have) conveyed to you
رِسَٰلَٰتِ
risaalaati
(the) Messages
رَبِّي
Rabbee
(of) my Lord
وَنَصَحۡتُ
wa-naṣaḥtu
and advised
لَكُمۡۖ
lakum;
[to] you
فَكَيۡفَ
fakayfa
So how could
ءَاسَىٰ
ʹaasaa
I grieve
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
for
قَوۡمٖ
q̣awmiñ
a people
كَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireen.
(who are) disbelievers
٩٣
7:94
وَمَآ
Wa-maaa
And not
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
فِي
fee
in
قَرۡيَةٖ
q̣aryatim
a city
مِّن
min
any
نَّبِيٍّ
nabiyyin
Prophet
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
أَخَذۡنَآ
ʹakhaẓnaaa
We seized
أَهۡلَهَا
ʹahlahaa
its people
بِٱلۡبَأۡسَآءِ
bil-baʹsaaaʹi
with adversity
وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ
waḍḍarraaaʹi
and hardship
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallahum
so that they may
يَضَّرَّعُونَ
yaḍḍarraʻoon.
(become) humble
٩٤
7:95
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
بَدَّلۡنَا
baddalnaa
We changed
مَكَانَ
makaanas
(in) place
ٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
sayyiʹatil
(of) the bad
ٱلۡحَسَنَةَ
ḥasanata
the good
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
عَفَواْ
ʻafaw
they increased
وَّقَالُواْ
Waq̣aaloo
and said
قَدۡ
q̣ad
Verily
مَسَّ
massa
(had) touched
ءَابَآءَنَا
ʹaabaaaʹanaḍ
our forefathers
ٱلضَّرَّآءُ
ḍarraaaʹu
the adversity
وَٱلسَّرَّآءُ
wassarraaaʹu
and the ease
فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُم
faʹakhaẓnaahum̃
So We seized them
بَغۡتَةٗ
bag̣tatañw
suddenly
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
لَا
laa-
(did) not
يَشۡعُرُونَ
yashʻuroon.
perceive
٩٥

7:96
وَلَوۡ
Wa-law
And if
أَنَّ
ʹanna
[that]
أَهۡلَ
ʹahlal
people
ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ
q̣uraaa
(of) the cities
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
(had) believed
وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ
wattaq̣aw
and feared Allah
لَفَتَحۡنَا
lafataḥnaa
surely We (would have) opened
عَلَيۡهِم
ʻalayhim
upon them
بَرَكَٰتٖ
barakaatim
blessings
مِّنَ
minas
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
samaaaʹi
the heaven
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ʹarḍi
and the earth
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakiñ
but
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓaboo
they denied
فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُم
faʹakhaẓnaahum̃
So We seized them
بِمَا
bimaa
for what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
يَكۡسِبُونَ
yaksiboon.
earn
٩٦
7:97
أَفَأَمِنَ
ʹA-faʹamina
Then did feel secure
أَهۡلُ
ahlul
(the) people
ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ
q̣uraaa
(of) the cities
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَأۡتِيَهُم
yaʹtiyahum
comes to them
بَأۡسُنَا
baʹsunaa
Our punishment
بَيَٰتٗا
bayaatañw
(at) night
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
نَآئِمُونَ
naaaʹimoon?
(were) asleep
٩٧
7:98
أَوَأَمِنَ
ʹA-waʹamina
Or felt secure
أَهۡلُ
ʹahlul
(the) people
ٱلۡقُرَىٰٓ
q̣uraaa
(of) the cities
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَأۡتِيَهُم
yaʹtiyahum
comes to them
بَأۡسُنَا
baʹsunaa
Our punishment
ضُحٗى
ḍuḥañw
(in) daylight
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
يَلۡعَبُونَ
yalʻaboon?
(were) playing
٩٨
7:99
أَفَأَمِنُواْ
ʹA-faʹaminoo
Then did they feel secure
مَكۡرَ
makral
(from the) plan
ٱللَّهِۚ
laaḥ?
(of) Allah
فَلَا
Falaa
But not
يَأۡمَنُ
yaʹmanu
feel secure
مَكۡرَ
makral
(from the) plan
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
إِلَّا
ʹillal
except
ٱلۡقَوۡمُ
q̣awmul
the people
ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ
khaasiroon!
(who are) the losers
٩٩
7:100
أَوَلَمۡ
ʹA-walam
Would it not
يَهۡدِ
yahdi
guide
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
[for] those who
يَرِثُونَ
yaris̤oonal
inherit
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
ʹarḍa
the land
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
أَهۡلِهَآ
ʹahlihaaa
its people
أَن
ʹal
that
لَّوۡ
law
if
نَشَآءُ
nashaaaʹu
We willed
أَصَبۡنَٰهُم
ʹaṣabnaahum̃
We (could) afflict them
بِذُنُوبِهِمۡۚ
biẓunoobihim,
for their sins
وَنَطۡبَعُ
wa-naṭbaʻu
and We put a seal
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
قُلُوبِهِمۡ
q̣uloobihim
their hearts
فَهُمۡ
fahum
so they
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يَسۡمَعُونَ
yasmaʻoon?
hear
