Your Mercy

for You
أَرۡحَمُ

(are) the Most Merciful
ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
al-rahimina
(of) the merciful
١٥١
7:152
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
ittakhadhu
took
ٱلۡعِجۡلَ
al-'ij'la
the calf
سَيَنَالُهُمۡ
sayanaluhum
will reach them
غَضَبٞ
ghadabun
wrath
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَذِلَّةٞ
wadhillatun
and humiliation
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhalika
And thus
نَجۡزِي
najzi
We recompense
ٱلۡمُفۡتَرِينَ
al-muf'tarina
the ones who invent (falsehood)
١٥٢
7:153
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
عَمِلُواْ
amilu
do
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
al-sayiati
the evil deeds
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
تَابُواْ
tabu
repented
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهَا
ba'diha
after that
وَءَامَنُوٓاْ
waamanu
and believed
إِنَّ
inna
indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهَا
ba'diha
after that
لَغَفُورٞ
laghafurun
(is) surely Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
rahimun
Most Merciful
١٥٣
7:154
وَلَمَّا
walamma
And when
سَكَتَ
sakata
was calmed
عَن
an
from
مُّوسَى
musa
Musa
ٱلۡغَضَبُ
al-ghadabu
the anger
أَخَذَ
akhadha
he took (up)
ٱلۡأَلۡوَاحَۖ
al-alwaha
the tablets
وَفِي
wafi
and in
نُسۡخَتِهَا
nus'khatiha
their inscription
هُدٗى
hudan
(was) guidance
وَرَحۡمَةٞ
warahmatun
and mercy
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
for those who
هُمۡ
hum
[they]
لِرَبِّهِمۡ
lirabbihim
of their Lord
يَرۡهَبُونَ
yarhabuna
(are) fearful
١٥٤
7:155
وَٱخۡتَارَ
wa-ikh'tara
And chose
مُوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
قَوۡمَهُۥ
qawmahu
(from) his people
سَبۡعِينَ
sab'ina
seventy
رَجُلٗا
rajulan
men
لِّمِيقَٰتِنَاۖ
limiqatina
for Our appointment
فَلَمَّآ
falamma
Then when
أَخَذَتۡهُمُ
akhadhathumu
seized them
ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ
al-rajfatu
the earthquake
قَالَ
qala
he said
رَبِّ
rabbi
O my Lord
لَوۡ
law
If
شِئۡتَ
shi'ta
you (had) willed
أَهۡلَكۡتَهُم
ahlaktahum
You (could) have destroyed them
مِّن
min
from
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
وَإِيَّٰيَۖ
wa-iyyaya
and me
أَتُهۡلِكُنَا
atuh'likuna
Would You destroy us
بِمَا
bima
for what
فَعَلَ
fa'ala
did
ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ
al-sufahau
the foolish
مِنَّآۖ
minna
among us
إِنۡ
in
Not
هِيَ
hiya
it (was)
إِلَّا
illa
but
فِتۡنَتُكَ
fit'natuka
Your trial
تُضِلُّ
tudillu
You let go astray
بِهَا
biha
by it
مَن
man
whom
تَشَآءُ
tashau
You will
وَتَهۡدِي
watahdi
and You guide
مَن
man
whom
تَشَآءُۖ
tashau
You will
أَنتَ
anta
You
وَلِيُّنَا
waliyyuna
(are) our Protector
فَٱغۡفِرۡ
fa-igh'fir
so forgive
لَنَا
lana
us
وَٱرۡحَمۡنَاۖ
wa-ir'hamna
and have mercy upon us
وَأَنتَ
wa-anta
and You
خَيۡرُ
khayru
(are) Best
ٱلۡغَٰفِرِينَ
al-ghafirina
(of) Forgivers

7:156
۞وَٱكۡتُبۡ
wa-uk'tub
And ordain
لَنَا
lana
for us
فِي
fi
in
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
this
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
[the] world
حَسَنَةٗ
hasanatan
good
وَفِي
wafi
and in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
هُدۡنَآ
hud'na
we have turned
إِلَيۡكَۚ
ilayka
to You
قَالَ
qala
He said
عَذَابِيٓ
adhabi
My punishment
أُصِيبُ
usibu
I afflict
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
مَنۡ
man
whom
أَشَآءُۖ
ashau
I will
وَرَحۡمَتِي
warahmati
but My Mercy
وَسِعَتۡ
wasi'at
encompasses
كُلَّ
kulla
every
شَيۡءٖۚ
shayin
thing
فَسَأَكۡتُبُهَا
fasa-aktubuha
So I will ordain it
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
for those who
يَتَّقُونَ
yattaquna
(are) righteous
وَيُؤۡتُونَ
wayu'tuna
and give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
al-zakata
zakah
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those who
هُم
hum
[they]
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biayatina
in Our Verses
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
they believe
١٥٦
7:157
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
Those who
يَتَّبِعُونَ
yattabi'una
follow
ٱلرَّسُولَ
al-rasula
the Messenger
ٱلنَّبِيَّ
al-nabiya
the Prophet
ٱلۡأُمِّيَّ
al-umiya
the unlettered
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
whom
يَجِدُونَهُۥ
yajidunahu
they find him
مَكۡتُوبًا
maktuban
written
عِندَهُمۡ
indahum
with them
فِي
fi
in
ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ
al-tawrati
the Taurat
وَٱلۡإِنجِيلِ
wal-injili
and the Injeel
يَأۡمُرُهُم
yamuruhum
He commands them
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bil-ma'rufi
to the right
وَيَنۡهَىٰهُمۡ
wayanhahum
and forbids them
عَنِ
ani
from
ٱلۡمُنكَرِ
al-munkari
the wrong
وَيُحِلُّ
wayuhillu
and he makes lawful
لَهُمُ
lahumu
for them
ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ
al-tayibati
the pure things
وَيُحَرِّمُ
wayuharrimu
and makes unlawful
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
for them
ٱلۡخَبَٰٓئِثَ
al-khabaitha
the impure things
وَيَضَعُ
wayada'u
and he relieves
عَنۡهُمۡ
anhum
from them
إِصۡرَهُمۡ
is'rahum
their burden
وَٱلۡأَغۡلَٰلَ
wal-aghlala
and the fetters
ٱلَّتِي
allati
which
كَانَتۡ
kanat
were
عَلَيۡهِمۡۚ
alayhim
upon them
فَٱلَّذِينَ
fa-alladhina
So those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
بِهِۦ
bihi
in him
وَعَزَّرُوهُ
wa'azzaruhu
and honor him
وَنَصَرُوهُ
wanasaruhu
and help him
وَٱتَّبَعُواْ
wa-ittaba'u
and follow
ٱلنُّورَ
al-nura
the light
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
which
أُنزِلَ
unzila
has been sent down
مَعَهُۥٓ
ma'ahu
with him
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those (are)
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
al-muf'lihuna
the successful ones
١٥٧
7:158
قُلۡ
qul
Say
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O
ٱلنَّاسُ
al-nasu
mankind
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I am
رَسُولُ
rasulu
(the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
إِلَيۡكُمۡ
ilaykum
to you
جَمِيعًا
jami'an
all
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One
لَهُۥ
lahu
for Whom
مُلۡكُ
mul'ku
(is the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
wal-ardi
and the earth
لَآ
la
(There is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
except
هُوَ
huwa
Him
يُحۡيِۦ
yuh'yi
He gives life
وَيُمِيتُۖ
wayumitu
and causes death
فَـَٔامِنُواْ
faaminu
So believe
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَرَسُولِهِ
warasulihi
and His Messenger
ٱلنَّبِيِّ
al-nabiyi
the Prophet
ٱلۡأُمِّيِّ
al-umiyi
the unlettered
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the one who
يُؤۡمِنُ
yu'minu
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ
wakalimatihi
and His Words
وَٱتَّبِعُوهُ
wa-ittabi'uhu
and follow him
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
so that you may
تَهۡتَدُونَ
tahtaduna
(be) guided
١٥٨
7:159
وَمِن
wamin
And among
قَوۡمِ
qawmi
(the) people
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
(of) Musa
أُمَّةٞ
ummatun
(is) a community
يَهۡدُونَ
yahduna
(which) guides
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
with truth
وَبِهِۦ
wabihi
and by it
يَعۡدِلُونَ
ya'diluna
establishes justice

7:160
وَقَطَّعۡنَٰهُمُ
waqatta'nahumu
And We divided them
ٱثۡنَتَيۡ
ith'natay
(into) two
عَشۡرَةَ
ashrata
(and) ten [ie twelve]
أَسۡبَاطًا
asbatan
tribes
أُمَمٗاۚ
umaman
(as) communities
وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ
wa-awhayna
And We inspired
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
Musa
إِذِ
idhi
when
ٱسۡتَسۡقَىٰهُ
is'tasqahu
asked him for water
قَوۡمُهُۥٓ
qawmuhu
his people
أَنِ
ani
[that]
ٱضۡرِب
id'rib
Strike
بِّعَصَاكَ
bi'asaka
with your staff
ٱلۡحَجَرَۖ
al-hajara
the stone
فَٱنۢبَجَسَتۡ
fa-inbajasat
Then gushed forth
مِنۡهُ
min'hu
from it
ٱثۡنَتَا
ith'nata
two
عَشۡرَةَ
ashrata
(and) ten [ie twelve]
عَيۡنٗاۖ
aynan
springs
قَدۡ
qad
Certainly
عَلِمَ
alima
knew
كُلُّ
kullu
each
أُنَاسٖ
unasin
people
مَّشۡرَبَهُمۡۚ
mashrabahum
their drinking place
وَظَلَّلۡنَا
wazallalna
And We shaded
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
[on] them
ٱلۡغَمَٰمَ
al-ghamama
(with) the clouds
وَأَنزَلۡنَا
wa-anzalna
and We sent down
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
upon them
ٱلۡمَنَّ
al-mana
the manna
وَٱلسَّلۡوَىٰۖ
wal-salwa
and the quails
كُلُواْ
kulu
Eat
مِن
min
from
طَيِّبَٰتِ
tayyibati
(the) good things
مَا
ma
which
رَزَقۡنَٰكُمۡۚ
razaqnakum
We have provided you
وَمَا
wama
And not
ظَلَمُونَا
zalamuna
they wronged Us
وَلَٰكِن
walakin
but
كَانُوٓاْ
kanu
they were
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
anfusahum
(to) themselves
يَظۡلِمُونَ
yazlimuna
doing wrong
١٦٠
7:161
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
قِيلَ
qila
it was said
لَهُمُ
lahumu
to them
ٱسۡكُنُواْ
us'kunu
Live
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
(in) this
ٱلۡقَرۡيَةَ
al-qaryata
city
وَكُلُواْ
wakulu
and eat
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
from it
حَيۡثُ
haythu
wherever
شِئۡتُمۡ
shi'tum
you wish
وَقُولُواْ
waqulu
and say
حِطَّةٞ
hittatun
Repentance
وَٱدۡخُلُواْ
wa-ud'khulu
and enter
ٱلۡبَابَ
al-baba
the gate
سُجَّدٗا
sujjadan
prostrating
نَّغۡفِرۡ
naghfir
We will forgive
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِكُمۡۚ
khatiatikum
your sins
سَنَزِيدُ
sanazidu
We will increase (reward)
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
al-muh'sinina
(of) the good-doers
١٦١
7:162
فَبَدَّلَ
fabaddala
But changed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
zalamu
wronged
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
قَوۡلًا
qawlan
word
غَيۡرَ
ghayra
other than
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(that) which
قِيلَ
qila
was said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
فَأَرۡسَلۡنَا
fa-arsalna
So We sent
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
upon them
رِجۡزٗا
rij'zan
torment
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
al-samai
the sky
بِمَا
bima
because
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يَظۡلِمُونَ
yazlimuna
doing wrong
١٦٢
7:163
وَسۡـَٔلۡهُمۡ
wasalhum
And ask them
عَنِ
ani
about
ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ
al-qaryati
the town
ٱلَّتِي
allati
which
كَانَتۡ
kanat
was
حَاضِرَةَ
hadirata
situated
ٱلۡبَحۡرِ
al-bahri
(by) the sea
إِذۡ
idh
when
يَعۡدُونَ
ya'duna
they transgressed
فِي
fi
in
ٱلسَّبۡتِ
al-sabti
the (matter of) Sabbath
إِذۡ
idh
when
تَأۡتِيهِمۡ
tatihim
came to them
حِيتَانُهُمۡ
hitanuhum
their fish
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on the) day
سَبۡتِهِمۡ
sabtihim
(of) their Sabbath
شُرَّعٗا
shurra'an
visibly
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
and (on the) day
لَا
la
not
يَسۡبِتُونَ
yasbituna
they had Sabbath
لَا
la
(they did) not
تَأۡتِيهِمۡۚ
tatihim
come to them
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
نَبۡلُوهُم
nabluhum
We test them
بِمَا
bima
because
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يَفۡسُقُونَ
yafsuquna
defiantly disobeying
١٦٣

وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
قَالَتۡ
qalat
said
أُمَّةٞ
ummatun
a community
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
لِمَ
lima
Why
تَعِظُونَ
ta'izuna
(do) you preach
قَوۡمًا
qawman
a people
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(whom) Allah
مُهۡلِكُهُمۡ
muh'likuhum
(is going to) destroy them
أَوۡ
aw
or
مُعَذِّبُهُمۡ
mu'adhibuhum
punish them
عَذَابٗا
adhaban
(with) a punishment
شَدِيدٗاۖ
shadidan
severe
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
مَعۡذِرَةً
ma'dhiratan
To be absolved
إِلَىٰ
ila
before
رَبِّكُمۡ
rabbikum
your Lord
وَلَعَلَّهُمۡ
wala'allahum
and that they may
يَتَّقُونَ
yattaquna
become righteous
١٦٤
7:165
فَلَمَّا
falamma
So when
نَسُواْ
nasu
they forgot
مَا
ma
what
ذُكِّرُواْ
dhukkiru
they had been reminded
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
with [it]
أَنجَيۡنَا
anjayna
We saved
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
يَنۡهَوۡنَ
yanhawna
forbade
عَنِ
ani
[from]
ٱلسُّوٓءِ
al-sui
the evil
وَأَخَذۡنَا
wa-akhadhna
and We seized
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
zalamu
wronged
بِعَذَابِۭ
bi'adhabin
with a punishment
بَـِٔيسِۭ
baisin
wretched
بِمَا
bima
because
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
يَفۡسُقُونَ
yafsuquna
defiantly disobeying
١٦٥
7:166
فَلَمَّا
falamma
So when
عَتَوۡاْ
ataw
they exceeded all bounds
عَن
an
about
مَّا
ma
what
نُهُواْ
nuhu
they were forbidden
عَنۡهُ
anhu
from it
قُلۡنَا
qul'na
We said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
كُونُواْ
kunu
Be
قِرَدَةً
qiradatan
apes
خَٰسِـِٔينَ
khasiina
despised
١٦٦
7:167
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
تَأَذَّنَ
ta-adhana
declared
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka
your Lord
لَيَبۡعَثَنَّ
layab'athanna
that He would surely send
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
upon them
إِلَىٰ
ila
till
يَوۡمِ
yawmi
(the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
مَن
man
(those) who
يَسُومُهُمۡ
yasumuhum
would afflict them
سُوٓءَ
sua
(with) a grievous
ٱلۡعَذَابِۗ
al-'adhabi
[the] punishment
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
لَسَرِيعُ
lasari'u
(is) surely swift
ٱلۡعِقَابِ
al-'iqabi
(in) the retribution
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-innahu
but indeed He
لَغَفُورٞ
laghafurun
(is) surely Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
rahimun
Most Merciful
١٦٧
7:168
وَقَطَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ
waqatta'nahum
And We divided them
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
أُمَمٗاۖ
umaman
(as) nations
مِّنۡهُمُ
min'humu
Among them
ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ
al-salihuna
(are) the righteous
وَمِنۡهُمۡ
wamin'hum
and among them
دُونَ
duna
(are) other than
ذَٰلِكَۖ
dhalika
that
وَبَلَوۡنَٰهُم
wabalawnahum
And We tested them
بِٱلۡحَسَنَٰتِ
bil-hasanati
with the good
وَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
wal-sayiati
and the bad
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarji'una
return
١٦٨
7:169
فَخَلَفَ
fakhalafa
Then succeeded
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهِمۡ
ba'dihim
after them
خَلۡفٞ
khalfun
successors
وَرِثُواْ
warithu
(who) inherited
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
يَأۡخُذُونَ
yakhudhuna
taking
عَرَضَ
arada
goods
هَٰذَا
hadha
(of) this
ٱلۡأَدۡنَىٰ
al-adna
the lower (life)
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaquluna
and they say
سَيُغۡفَرُ
sayugh'faru
It will be forgiven
لَنَا
lana
for us
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
يَأۡتِهِمۡ
yatihim
comes to them
عَرَضٞ
aradun
goods
مِّثۡلُهُۥ
mith'luhu
similar to it
يَأۡخُذُوهُۚ
yakhudhuhu
they will take it
أَلَمۡ
alam
Was not
يُؤۡخَذۡ
yu'khadh
taken
عَلَيۡهِم
alayhim
on them
مِّيثَٰقُ
mithaqu
Covenant
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
أَن
an
that
لَّا
la
not
يَقُولُواْ
yaqulu
they will say
عَلَى
ala
about
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلۡحَقَّ
al-haqa
the truth
وَدَرَسُواْ
wadarasu
while they studied
مَا
ma
what
فِيهِۗ
fihi
(is) in it
وَٱلدَّارُ
wal-daru
And the home
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ
al-akhiratu
(of) the Hereafter
خَيۡرٞ
khayrun
(is) better
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
for those who
يَتَّقُونَۚ
yattaquna
fear Allah
أَفَلَا
afala
So will not
تَعۡقِلُونَ
ta'qiluna
you use intellect
١٦٩
7:170
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
يُمَسِّكُونَ
yumassikuna
hold fast
بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
bil-kitabi
to the Book
وَأَقَامُواْ
wa-aqamu
and establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
al-salata
the prayer
إِنَّا
inna
indeed We
لَا
la
(will) not
نُضِيعُ
nudi'u
[We] let go waste
أَجۡرَ
ajra
(the) reward
ٱلۡمُصۡلِحِينَ
al-mus'lihina
(of) the reformers

۞وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
نَتَقۡنَا
nataqna
We raised
ٱلۡجَبَلَ
al-jabala
the mountain
فَوۡقَهُمۡ
fawqahum
above them
كَأَنَّهُۥ
ka-annahu
as if it was
ظُلَّةٞ
zullatun
a canopy
وَظَنُّوٓاْ
wazannu
and they thought
أَنَّهُۥ
annahu
that it
وَاقِعُۢ
waqi'un
(would) fall
بِهِمۡ
bihim
upon them
خُذُواْ
khudhu
(We said) Take
مَآ
ma
what
ءَاتَيۡنَٰكُم
ataynakum
We have given you
بِقُوَّةٖ
biquwwatin
with strength
وَٱذۡكُرُواْ
wa-udh'kuru
and remember
مَا
ma
what
فِيهِ
fihi
(is) in it
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
so that you may
تَتَّقُونَ
tattaquna
fear Allah
١٧١
7:172
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
أَخَذَ
akhadha
(was) taken
رَبُّكَ
rabbuka

بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children
ءَادَمَ
adama
(of) Adam
مِن
min
from
ظُهُورِهِمۡ
zuhurihim
their loins
ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ
dhurriyyatahum
their descendants
وَأَشۡهَدَهُمۡ
wa-ashhadahum
and made them testify
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
over
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
anfusihim
themselves
أَلَسۡتُ
alastu
Am I not
بِرَبِّكُمۡۖ
birabbikum
your Lord
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
بَلَىٰ
bala
Yes
شَهِدۡنَآۚ
shahid'na
we have testified
أَن
an
Lest
تَقُولُواْ
taqulu
you say
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed
كُنَّا
kunna
we were
عَنۡ
an
about
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
غَٰفِلِينَ
ghafilina
unaware
١٧٢
7:173
أَوۡ
aw
Or
تَقُولُوٓاْ
taqulu
you say
إِنَّمَآ
innama
Only
أَشۡرَكَ
ashraka
partners (were) associated (with Allah)
ءَابَآؤُنَا
abauna
(by) our forefathers
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before (us)
وَكُنَّا
wakunna
and we are
ذُرِّيَّةٗ
dhurriyyatan
descendants
مِّنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهِمۡۖ
ba'dihim
after them
أَفَتُهۡلِكُنَا
afatuh'likuna
So will You destroy us
بِمَا
bima
for what
فَعَلَ
fa'ala
did
ٱلۡمُبۡطِلُونَ
al-mub'tiluna
the falsifiers
١٧٣
7:174
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhalika
And thus
نُفَصِّلُ
nufassilu
We explain
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ
al-ayati
the Verses
وَلَعَلَّهُمۡ
wala'allahum
so that they may
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarji'una
return
١٧٤
7:175
وَٱتۡلُ
wa-ut'lu
And recite
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
to them
نَبَأَ
naba-a
(the) story
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
(of the) one whom
ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
ataynahu
We gave [him]
ءَايَٰتِنَا
ayatina
Our Verses
فَٱنسَلَخَ
fa-insalakha
but he detached
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
[from] them
فَأَتۡبَعَهُ
fa-atba'ahu
so followed him
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
al-shaytanu
the Shaitaan
فَكَانَ
fakana
and he became
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡغَاوِينَ
al-ghawina
those gone astray
