68:2مَآmaNotأَنتَantayou (are)بِنِعۡمَةِbini'matiby (the) Graceرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordبِمَجۡنُونٖbimajnunina madman٢
68:3وَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedلَكَlakafor youلَأَجۡرًاla-ajransurely (is) a rewardغَيۡرَghayrawithoutمَمۡنُونٖmamnuninend٣
68:4وَإِنَّكَwa-innakaAnd indeed youلَعَلَىٰla'alasurely (are)خُلُقٍkhuluqin(of) a moral characterعَظِيمٖazimingreat٤
68:7إِنَّinnaIndeedرَبَّكَrabbakayour LordهُوَhuwaHeأَعۡلَمُa'lamu(is) most knowingبِمَنbimanof (he) whoضَلَّdallahas strayedعَنanfromسَبِيلِهِۦsabilihiHis wayوَهُوَwahuwaand Heأَعۡلَمُa'lamu(is) most knowingبِٱلۡمُهۡتَدِينَbil-muh'tadinaof the guided ones٧
68:9وَدُّواْwadduThey wishلَوۡlawthatتُدۡهِنُtud'hinuyou should compromiseفَيُدۡهِنُونَfayud'hinunaso they would compromise٩
68:10وَلَاwalaAnd (do) notتُطِعۡtuti'obeyكُلَّkullaeveryحَلَّافٖhallafinhabitual swearerمَّهِينٍmahininworthless١٠
68:12مَّنَّاعٖmanna'inA preventerلِّلۡخَيۡرِlil'khayriof (the) goodمُعۡتَدٍmu'tadintransgressorأَثِيمٍathiminsinful١٢
68:14أَنanBecauseكَانَkana(he) isذَاdhaa possessorمَالٖmalin(of) wealthوَبَنِينَwabaninaand children١٤
68:15إِذَاidhaWhenتُتۡلَىٰtut'laare recitedعَلَيۡهِalayhito himءَايَٰتُنَاayatunaOur Versesقَالَqalahe saysأَسَٰطِيرُasatiruStoriesٱلۡأَوَّلِينَal-awalina(of) the former (people)١٥
68:17إِنَّاinnaIndeed Weبَلَوۡنَٰهُمۡbalawnahumhave tried themكَمَاkamaasبَلَوۡنَآbalawnaWe triedأَصۡحَٰبَashaba(the) companionsٱلۡجَنَّةِal-janati(of) the gardenإِذۡidhwhenأَقۡسَمُواْaqsamuthey sworeلَيَصۡرِمُنَّهَاlayasrimunnahato pluck its fruitمُصۡبِحِينَmus'bihina(in the) morning١٧
68:19فَطَافَfatafaSo there cameعَلَيۡهَاalayhaupon itطَآئِفٞtaifuna visitationمِّنminfromرَّبِّكَrabbikayour Lordوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyنَآئِمُونَnaimunawere asleep١٩
68:22أَنِaniThatٱغۡدُواْigh'duGo earlyعَلَىٰalatoحَرۡثِكُمۡharthikumyour cropإِنinifكُنتُمۡkuntumyou wouldصَٰرِمِينَsariminapluck (the) fruit٢٢
68:23فَٱنطَلَقُواْfa-intalaquSo they wentوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyيَتَخَٰفَتُونَyatakhafatunalowered (their) voices٢٣
68:24أَنanThatلَّاlaNotيَدۡخُلَنَّهَاyadkhulannahawill enter itٱلۡيَوۡمَal-yawmatodayعَلَيۡكُمalaykumupon youمِّسۡكِينٞmis'kinunany poor person٢٤
68:25وَغَدَوۡاْwaghadawAnd they went earlyعَلَىٰalawithحَرۡدٖhardindeterminationقَٰدِرِينَqadirinaable٢٥
68:26فَلَمَّاfalammaBut whenرَأَوۡهَاra-awhathey saw itقَالُوٓاْqaluthey saidإِنَّاinnaIndeed weلَضَآلُّونَladalluna(are) surely lost٢٦
68:28قَالَqalaSaidأَوۡسَطُهُمۡawsatuhum(the) most moderate of themأَلَمۡalamDid notأَقُلaqulI tellلَّكُمۡlakumyouلَوۡلَاlawlaWhy notتُسَبِّحُونَtusabbihunayou glorify (Allah)?٢٨
68:29قَالُواْqaluThey saidسُبۡحَٰنَsub'hanaGlory beرَبِّنَآrabbina(to) our LordإِنَّاinnaIndeed weكُنَّاkunna[we] wereظَٰلِمِينَzaliminawrongdoers٢٩
68:30فَأَقۡبَلَfa-aqbalaThen approachedبَعۡضُهُمۡba'duhumsome of themعَلَىٰalatoبَعۡضٖba'dinothersيَتَلَٰوَمُونَyatalawamunablaming each other٣٠
68:31قَالُواْqaluThey saidيَٰوَيۡلَنَآyawaylanaO woe to usإِنَّاinnaIndeed weكُنَّاkunna[we] wereطَٰغِينَtaghinatransgressors٣١
68:32عَسَىٰasaPerhapsرَبُّنَآrabbunaour Lordأَنan[that]يُبۡدِلَنَاyub'dilanawill substitute for usخَيۡرٗاkhayrana betterمِّنۡهَآmin'hathan itإِنَّآinnaIndeed weإِلَىٰilatoرَبِّنَاrabbinaour Lordرَٰغِبُونَraghibunaturn devoutly٣٢
68:33كَذَٰلِكَkadhalikaSuchٱلۡعَذَابُۖal-'adhabu(is) the punishmentوَلَعَذَابُwala'adhabuAnd surely the punishmentٱلۡأٓخِرَةِal-akhirati(of) the Hereafterأَكۡبَرُۚakbaru(is) greaterلَوۡlawifكَانُواْkanutheyيَعۡلَمُونَya'lamunaknow٣٣
68:34إِنَّinnaIndeedلِلۡمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqinafor the righteousعِندَindawithرَبِّهِمۡrabbihimtheir Lordجَنَّٰتِjannati(are) Gardensٱلنَّعِيمِal-na'imi(of) Delight٣٤
68:35أَفَنَجۡعَلُafanaj'aluThen will We treatٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَal-mus'liminathe Muslimsكَٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَkal-muj'riminalike the criminals٣٥
68:37أَمۡamOrلَكُمۡlakum(is) for youكِتَٰبٞkitabuna bookفِيهِfihiwhereinتَدۡرُسُونَtadrusunayou learn٣٧
68:38إِنَّinnaIndeedلَكُمۡlakumfor youفِيهِfihiin itلَمَاlamawhatتَخَيَّرُونَtakhayyarunayou choose٣٨
68:39أَمۡamOrلَكُمۡlakumfor youأَيۡمَٰنٌaymanunoathsعَلَيۡنَاalaynafrom usبَٰلِغَةٌbalighatunreachingإِلَىٰilatoيَوۡمِyawmi(the) Dayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِal-qiyamati(of) the Resurrectionإِنَّinnaindeedلَكُمۡlakumfor youلَمَاlama(is) whatتَحۡكُمُونَtahkumunayou judge٣٩
68:40سَلۡهُمۡsalhumAsk themأَيُّهُمayyuhumwhich of themبِذَٰلِكَbidhalikafor thatزَعِيمٌza'imun(is) responsible٤٠
68:41أَمۡamOrلَهُمۡlahum(are) for themشُرَكَآءُshurakaupartnersفَلۡيَأۡتُواْfalyatuThen let them bringبِشُرَكَآئِهِمۡbishurakaihimtheir partnersإِنinifكَانُواْkanuthey areصَٰدِقِينَsadiqinatruthful٤١
68:42يَوۡمَyawma(The) Dayيُكۡشَفُyuk'shafuwill be uncoveredعَنanfromسَاقٖsaqinthe shinوَيُدۡعَوۡنَwayud'awnaand they will be calledإِلَىilatoٱلسُّجُودِal-sujudiprostrateفَلَاfalabut notيَسۡتَطِيعُونَyastati'unathey will be able٤٢
68:43خَٰشِعَةًkhashi'atanHumbledأَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡabsaruhumtheir eyesتَرۡهَقُهُمۡtarhaquhumwill cover themذِلَّةٞۖdhillatunhumiliationوَقَدۡwaqadAnd indeedكَانُواْkanuthey wereيُدۡعَوۡنَyud'awnacalledإِلَىilatoٱلسُّجُودِal-sujudiprostrateوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyسَٰلِمُونَsalimuna(were) sound٤٣
68:44فَذَرۡنِيfadharniSo leave Meوَمَنwamanand whoeverيُكَذِّبُyukadhibudeniesبِهَٰذَاbihadhathisٱلۡحَدِيثِۖal-hadithiStatementسَنَسۡتَدۡرِجُهُمsanastadrijuhumWe will progressively lead themمِّنۡminfromحَيۡثُhaythuwhereلَاlanotيَعۡلَمُونَya'lamunathey know٤٤
68:45وَأُمۡلِيwa-um'liAnd I will give respiteلَهُمۡۚlahumto themإِنَّinnaIndeedكَيۡدِيkaydiMy planمَتِينٌmatinun(is) firm٤٥
68:46أَمۡamOrتَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡtasaluhumyou ask themأَجۡرٗاajrana paymentفَهُمfahumso theyمِّنminfromمَّغۡرَمٖmaghramin(the) debtمُّثۡقَلُونَmuth'qaluna(are) burdened٤٦
68:47أَمۡamOrعِندَهُمُindahumu(is) with themٱلۡغَيۡبُal-ghaybuthe unseenفَهُمۡfahumso theyيَكۡتُبُونَyaktubunawrite it٤٧
68:48فَٱصۡبِرۡfa-is'birSo be patientلِحُكۡمِlihuk'mifor (the) decisionرَبِّكَrabbika(of) your Lordوَلَاwalaand (do) notتَكُنtakunbeكَصَاحِبِkasahibilike (the) companionٱلۡحُوتِal-huti(of) the fishإِذۡidhwhenنَادَىٰnadahe called outوَهُوَwahuwawhile heمَكۡظُومٞmakzumun(was) distressed٤٨
68:49لَّوۡلَآlawlaIf notأَنanthatتَدَٰرَكَهُۥtadarakahuovertook himنِعۡمَةٞni'matuna Favorمِّنminfromرَّبِّهِۦrabbihihis Lordلَنُبِذَlanubidhasurely he would have been thrownبِٱلۡعَرَآءِbil-'araionto (the) naked shoreوَهُوَwahuwawhile heمَذۡمُومٞmadhmumun(was) blamed٤٩
68:50فَٱجۡتَبَٰهُfa-ij'tabahuBut chose himرَبُّهُۥrabbuhuhis Lordفَجَعَلَهُۥfaja'alahuand made himمِنَminaofٱلصَّٰلِحِينَal-salihinathe righteous٥٠
