6:1
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
ʹAl-Ḥamdu
(All) the praises and thanks
لِلَّهِ
lillaahil
(be) to Allah
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaq̣as
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
Samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-ʹarḍa
and the earth
وَجَعَلَ
wa-jaʻalaz̤̣
and made
ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
z̤̣u-lu-maa-ti
the darkness[es]
وَٱلنُّورَۖ
wan-Noor.
and the light
ثُمَّ
S̤ummal
Then
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
بِرَبِّهِمۡ
bi-Rabbihim
in their Lord
يَعۡدِلُونَ
yaʻdiloon.
equate others with Him
١
6:2
هُوَ
Huwal
He
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُم
khalaq̣akum
created you
مِّن
miñ
from
طِينٖ
ṭeeniñ
clay
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
قَضَىٰٓ
q̣aḍaaa
He decreed
أَجَلٗاۖ
ʹajalaa.
a term
وَأَجَلٞ
Wa-ʹajalum
and a term
مُّسَمًّى
Musamman
specified
عِندَهُۥۖ
ʻiñdahoo
with Him
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
yet
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
you
تَمۡتَرُونَ
tamtaroon!
doubt
٢
6:3
وَهُوَ
Wa-Huwal
And He
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(is) Allah
فِي
fis
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَفِي
wa-fil
and in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍ?
the earth
يَعۡلَمُ
Yaʻlamu
He knows
سِرَّكُمۡ
sirrakum
your secret
وَجَهۡرَكُمۡ
wa-jahrakum
and what you make public
وَيَعۡلَمُ
wayaʻlamu
and He knows
مَا
maa-
what
تَكۡسِبُونَ
taksiboon.
you earn
٣
6:4
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
تَأۡتِيهِم
taʹteehim
comes to them
مِّنۡ
min
[of]
ءَايَةٖ
ʹAayaati
any sign
مِّنۡ
Min
from
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayatim
(the) Signs
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
(of) their Lord
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they are
عَنۡهَا
ʻanhaa
from it
مُعۡرِضِينَ
muʻriḍeen.
turning away
٤
6:5
فَقَدۡ
Faq̣ad
Then indeed
كَذَّبُواْ
kaẓẓaboo
they denied
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣i
the truth
لَمَّا
lammaa
when
جَآءَهُمۡ
jaaaʹahum:
it came to them
فَسَوۡفَ
fasawfa
but soon
يَأۡتِيهِمۡ
yaʹteehim
will come to them
أَنۢبَٰٓؤُاْ
ʹambaaaʹu
news
مَا
maa-
(of) what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
بِهِۦ
bihee
[at it]
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yas-tahziʹoon.
mock
٥
6:6
أَلَمۡ
ʹAlam
Did not
يَرَوۡاْ
yaraw
they see
كَمۡ
kam
how many
أَهۡلَكۡنَا
ʹahlaknaa
We destroyed
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلِهِم
q̣ablihim
before them
مِّن
miñ
of
قَرۡنٖ
q̣arnim
generations
مَّكَّنَّٰهُمۡ
makkannaahum
We had established them
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
مَا
maa-
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
نُمَكِّن
numakkil
We (have) established
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا
wa-ʹarsalnas
And We sent
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
samaaaʹa
(rain from) the sky
عَلَيۡهِم
ʻalayhim
upon them
مِّدۡرَارٗا
midraaraa,
showering abundantly
وَجَعَلۡنَا
wa-jaʻalnal
and We made
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرَ
ʹanhaara
the rivers
تَجۡرِي
tajree
flow
مِن
miñ
from
تَحۡتِهِمۡ
taḥ-tihim
underneath them
فَأَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُم
faʹahlaknaahum
Then We destroyed them
بِذُنُوبِهِمۡ
biẓunoobihim
for their sins
وَأَنشَأۡنَا
wa-ʹañshaʹnaa
and We raised
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِهِمۡ
baʻdihim
after them
قَرۡنًا
q̣arnan
generations
ءَاخَرِينَ
ʹaakhareen.
other
٦
6:7
وَلَوۡ
Wa-law
And (even) if
نَزَّلۡنَا
nazzalnaa
We (had) sent down
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
to you
كِتَٰبٗا
Kitaabañ
a written Scripture
فِي
fee
in
قِرۡطَاسٖ
q̣irṭaasiñ
a parchment
فَلَمَسُوهُ
falamasoohu
and they touched it
بِأَيۡدِيهِمۡ
biʹaydeehim
with their hands
لَقَالَ
laq̣aalal
surely (would) have said
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُوٓاْ
kafarooo
disbelieved
إِنۡ
ʹin
Not
هَٰذَآ
haaẓaaa
(is) this
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
سِحۡرٞ
siḥrum
magic
مُّبِينٞ
mubeen.
clear
٧
6:8
وَقَالُواْ
Wa-q̣aaloo
And they said
لَوۡلَآ
Laaa-law
Why has not been
أُنزِلَ
ʹuñzila
sent down
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
to him
مَلَكٞۖ
malak?
an Angel
وَلَوۡ
Wa-law
And if
أَنزَلۡنَا
ʹañzalnaa
We (had) sent down
مَلَكٗا
malakal
an Angel
لَّقُضِيَ
laq̣uḍiyal
surely (would) have been decided
ٱلۡأَمۡرُ
ʹamru
the matter
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
لَا
laa-
no
يُنظَرُونَ
yuñz̤̣aroon.
respite would have been granted to them

6:9
وَلَوۡ
Wa-law
And if
جَعَلۡنَٰهُ
jaʻalnaahu
We had made him
مَلَكٗا
malakal
an Angel
لَّجَعَلۡنَٰهُ
lajaʻalnaahu
certainly We (would) have made him
رَجُلٗا
rajulañw
a man
وَلَلَبَسۡنَا
wa-la-labasnaa
and certainly We (would) have obscured
عَلَيۡهِم
ʻalayhim
to them
مَّا
maa
what
يَلۡبِسُونَ
yalbisoon.
they are obscuring
٩
6:10
وَلَقَدِ
Wa-laq̣adis
And indeed
ٱسۡتُهۡزِئَ
tuhziʹa
were mocked
بِرُسُلٖ
birusulim
Messengers
مِّن
miñ
from
قَبۡلِكَ
q̣ablika
before you
فَحَاقَ
faḥaaq̣a
but surrounded
بِٱلَّذِينَ
billaẓeena
those who
سَخِرُواْ
sakhiroo
scoffed
مِنۡهُم
minhum
of them
مَّا
maa
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
بِهِۦ
bihee
[at it]
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yastahziʹoon.
mock
١٠
6:11
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
سِيرُواْ
seeroo
Travel
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
ثُمَّ
s̤ummañ
and
ٱنظُرُواْ
z̤̣uroo
see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kaana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
ʻaaq̣ibatul
(the) end
ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
mukaẓẓibeen.
(of) the rejecters
١١
6:12
قُل
Q̣ul
Say
لِّمَن
limam
To whom (belongs)
مَّا
maa
what
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
wal-ʹarḍ?
and the earth
قُل
Q̣ul
Say
لِّلَّهِۚ
lillaah.
To Allah
كَتَبَ
Kataba
He has decreed
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
upon
نَفۡسِهِ
Nafsihir
Himself
ٱلرَّحۡمَةَۚ
Raḥmah.
the Mercy
لَيَجۡمَعَنَّكُمۡ
Layajmaʻannakum
Surely He will assemble you
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
on
يَوۡمِ
Yawmil
(the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamati
(of) the Resurrection
لَا
laa-
(there is) no
رَيۡبَ
rayba
doubt
فِيهِۚ
feeh.
about it
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
خَسِرُوٓاْ
khasirooo
have lost
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
ʹañfusahum
themselves
فَهُمۡ
fahum
then they
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoon.
believe
١٢
6:13
۞وَلَهُۥ
Walahoo
And for Him
مَا
maa-
(is) whatever
سَكَنَ
sakana
dwells
فِي
fil
in
ٱلَّيۡلِ
lay-li
the night
وَٱلنَّهَارِۚ
wan-nahaar.
and the day
وَهُوَ
Wa-Huwas
and He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
Sameeʻul
(is) All-Hearing
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
ʻAleem.
All-Knowing
١٣
6:14
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
أَغَيۡرَ
ʹag̣ayral
Is it other than
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
أَتَّخِذُ
ʹattakhiẓu
I (should) take
وَلِيّٗا
waliyyañ
(as) a protector
فَاطِرِ
Faaṭiris
Creator
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ʹarḍi
and the earth
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwa
while (it is) He
يُطۡعِمُ
yuṭʻimu
Who feeds
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يُطۡعَمُۗ
yuṭʻam.
He is fed
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
أُمِرۡتُ
ʹumirtu
[I] am commanded
أَنۡ
ʹan
that
أَكُونَ
ʹakoona
I be
أَوَّلَ
ʹawwala
(the) first
مَنۡ
man
who
أَسۡلَمَۖ
ʹaslama
submits (to Allah)
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
تَكُونَنَّ
takoonanna
be
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen.
the polytheists
١٤
6:15
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
[I] fear
إِنۡ
ʹin
if
عَصَيۡتُ
ʻaṣaytu
I disobeyed
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
عَذَابَ
ʻaẓaaba
punishment
يَوۡمٍ
Yawmin
(of) a Day
عَظِيمٖ
ʻAz̤̣eem.
Mighty
١٥
6:16
مَّن
Mañy
Whoever
يُصۡرَفۡ
yuṣraf
is averted
عَنۡهُ
ʻanhu
from it
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
yawmaʹiẓin
that Day
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
then surely
رَحِمَهُۥۚ
raḥimah;
He had Mercy on him
وَذَٰلِكَ
waẓaalikal
And that
ٱلۡفَوۡزُ
fawzul
(is) the success
ٱلۡمُبِينُ
mubeen.
(the) clear
١٦
6:17
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñy
And if
يَمۡسَسۡكَ
yam-saskal
touches you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
بِضُرّٖ
biḍurriñ
with affliction
فَلَا
falaa
then no
كَاشِفَ
kaashifa
remover
لَهُۥٓ
lahooo
of it
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
هُوَۖ
Hoo:
Him
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñy
And if
يَمۡسَسۡكَ
yam-saska
He touches you
بِخَيۡرٖ
bikhayriñ
with good
فَهُوَ
fa-Huwa
then He
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñ
thing
قَدِيرٞ
Q̣adeer.
All-Powerful
١٧
6:18
وَهُوَ
Wa-huwal
And He
ٱلۡقَاهِرُ
Q̣aahiru
(is) the Subjugator
فَوۡقَ
fawq̣a
over
عِبَادِهِۦۚ
ʻibaadih;
His slaves
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwal
And He
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
Ḥakeemul
(is) the All-Wise
ٱلۡخَبِيرُ
Khabeer.
the All-Aware

6:19
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
أَيُّ
ʹayyu
What
شَيۡءٍ
shayʹin
thing
أَكۡبَرُ
ʹakbaru
(is) greatest
شَهَٰدَةٗۖ
shahaadah?
(as) a testimony
قُلِ
Q̣ulil
Say
ٱللَّهُۖ
laahu
Allah
شَهِيدُۢ
shaheedum
(is) Witness
بَيۡنِي
baynee
between me
وَبَيۡنَكُمۡۚ
wa-baynakum,
and between you
وَأُوحِيَ
wa-ʹooḥiya
and has been revealed
إِلَيَّ
ʹilayya
to me
هَٰذَا
haaẓal
this
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ
Q̣urʹaanu
[the] Quran
لِأُنذِرَكُم
liʹuñẓirakum̃
that I may warn you
بِهِۦ
bihee
with it
وَمَنۢ
wa-mam
and whoever
بَلَغَۚ
balag̣.
it reaches
أَئِنَّكُمۡ
ʹAʹinnakum
Do you truly
لَتَشۡهَدُونَ
latashhadoona
testify
أَنَّ
ʹanna
that
مَعَ
maʻal
with
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
ءَالِهَةً
ʹaalihatan
(there are) gods
أُخۡرَىٰۚ
ʹukhraa?
other
قُل
Q̣ul
Say
لَّآ
laaa
Not
أَشۡهَدُۚ
ʹashhad!
(do) I testify
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
إِنَّمَا
ʹinnamaa
Only
هُوَ
Huwa
He
إِلَٰهٞ
ʹIlaahuñw
(is) God
وَٰحِدٞ
Waaḥiduñw
One
وَإِنَّنِي
wa-ʹinnanee
and indeed I am
بَرِيٓءٞ
bareeeʹum
free
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تُشۡرِكُونَ
tushrikoon.
you associate (with Him)
١٩
6:20
ٱلَّذِينَ
Allaẓeena
Those (to) whom
ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ
ʹaataynaahumul
We have given them
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
يَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ
yaʻrifoonahoo
they recognize him
كَمَا
kamaa
as
يَعۡرِفُونَ
yaʻrifoona
they recognize
أَبۡنَآءَهُمُۘ
ʹabnaaaʹahum.
their sons
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
خَسِرُوٓاْ
khasirooo
lost
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
ʹañfusahum
themselves
فَهُمۡ
fahum
then they
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoon.
believe
٢٠
6:21
وَمَنۡ
Wa-man
And who
أَظۡلَمُ
ʹaz̤̣lamu
(is) more unjust
مِمَّنِ
mim-manif
than (he) who
ٱفۡتَرَىٰ
taraa
invents
عَلَى
ʻalal
against
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
كَذِبًا
kaẓiban
a lie
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
كَذَّبَ
kaẓẓaba
rejects
بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚ
biʹAayaatih?
His Signs
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹInnahoo
Indeed
لَا
laa-
not
يُفۡلِحُ
yufliḥuz̤̣
will be successful
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
z̤̣aalimoon.
the wrongdoers
٢١
6:22
وَيَوۡمَ
Wa-yawma
And (the) Day
نَحۡشُرُهُمۡ
naḥ-shuruhum
We will gather them
جَمِيعٗا
jameeʻañ
all
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
نَقُولُ
naq̣oolu
We will say
لِلَّذِينَ
lil-laẓeena
to those who
أَشۡرَكُوٓاْ
ʹashrakooo
associated others with Allah
أَيۡنَ
ʹayna
Where (are)
شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ
shurakaaaʹukumul
your partners
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those whom
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you used to
تَزۡعُمُونَ
tazʻumoon.
claim
٢٢
6:23
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
لَمۡ
lam
not
تَكُن
takuñ
will be
فِتۡنَتُهُمۡ
fitnatuhum
(for) them a plea
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
أَن
ʹañ
that
قَالُواْ
q̣aaloo
they say
وَٱللَّهِ
wallaahi
By Allah
رَبِّنَا
Rabbina
our Lord
مَا
maa-
not
كُنَّا
kunnaa
we were
مُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen.
those who associated others (with Allah)
٢٣
6:24
ٱنظُرۡ
ʹUñz̤̣ur
Look
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَذَبُواْ
kaẓaboo
they lied
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
against
أَنفُسِهِمۡۚ
ʹañfusihim
themselves
وَضَلَّ
wa-ḍalla
And lost
عَنۡهُم
ʻanhum
from them
مَّا
maa
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
يَفۡتَرُونَ
yaftaroon.
invent
٢٤
6:25
وَمِنۡهُم
Wa-minhum
And among them
مَّن
mañy
(are those) who
يَسۡتَمِعُ
yastamiʻu
listen
إِلَيۡكَۖ
ʹilayk;
to you
وَجَعَلۡنَا
wa-jaʻalnaa
but We have placed
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
قُلُوبِهِمۡ
q̣uloobihim
their hearts
أَكِنَّةً
ʹakinnatan
coverings
أَن
ʹañy
lest
يَفۡقَهُوهُ
yafq̣ahoohu
they understand it
وَفِيٓ
wa-feee
and in
ءَاذَانِهِمۡ
ʹaaẓaanihim
their ears
وَقۡرٗاۚ
waq̣raa;
deafness
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñy
And if
يَرَوۡاْ
yaraw
they see
كُلَّ
kulla
every
ءَايَةٖ
ʹAayatil
sign
لَّا
laa
not
يُؤۡمِنُواْ
yuʹminoo
will they believe
بِهَاۖ
bihaa:
in it
حَتَّىٰٓ
ḥattaaa
Until
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
جَآءُوكَ
jaaaʹooka
they come to you
يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ
yujaadiloonaka
and argue with you
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolul
say
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُوٓاْ
kafarooo
disbelieved
إِنۡ
ʹin
Not
هَٰذَآ
haaẓaaa
(is) this
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
but
أَسَٰطِيرُ
ʹasaaṭeerul
(the) tales
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
ʹawwaleen.
(of) the former (people)
٢٥
