and whatever

ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
al-ardi
the earth
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
al-hakimu
the All-Wise

59:2
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
(is) the One Who
أَخۡرَجَ
akhraja
expelled
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
مِنۡ
min
from
أَهۡلِ
ahli
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Scripture
مِن
min
from
دِيَٰرِهِمۡ
diyarihim
their homes
لِأَوَّلِ
li-awwali
at (the) first
ٱلۡحَشۡرِۚ
al-hashri
gathering
مَا
ma
Not
ظَنَنتُمۡ
zanantum
you think
أَن
an
that
يَخۡرُجُواْۖ
yakhruju
they would leave
وَظَنُّوٓاْ
wazannu
and they thought
أَنَّهُم
annahum
that [they]
مَّانِعَتُهُمۡ
mani'atuhum
would defend them
حُصُونُهُم
husunuhum
their fortresses
مِّنَ
mina
against
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
فَأَتَىٰهُمُ
fa-atahumu
But came to them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
مِنۡ
min
from
حَيۡثُ
haythu
where
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَحۡتَسِبُواْۖ
yahtasibu
they expected
وَقَذَفَ
waqadhafa
and He cast
فِي
fi
into
قُلُوبِهِمُ
qulubihimu
their hearts
ٱلرُّعۡبَۚ
al-ru'ba
[the] terror
يُخۡرِبُونَ
yukh'ribuna
they destroyed
بُيُوتَهُم
buyutahum
their houses
بِأَيۡدِيهِمۡ
bi-aydihim
with their hands
وَأَيۡدِي
wa-aydi
and the hands
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
al-mu'minina
(of) the believers
فَٱعۡتَبِرُواْ
fa-i'tabiru
So take a lesson
يَٰٓأُوْلِي
yauli
O those endowed
ٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرِ
al-absari
(with) insight
٢
59:3
وَلَوۡلَآ
walawla
And if not
أَن
an
[that]
كَتَبَ
kataba
(had) decreed
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
for them
ٱلۡجَلَآءَ
al-jalaa
the exile
لَعَذَّبَهُمۡ
la'adhabahum
certainly He (would) have punished them
فِي
fi
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ
al-dun'ya
the world
وَلَهُمۡ
walahum
and for them
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
عَذَابُ
adhabu
(is) a punishment
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
(of) the Fire

ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
bi-annahum
(is) because [they]
شَآقُّواْ
shaqqu
they opposed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَرَسُولَهُۥۖ
warasulahu
and His Messenger
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُشَآقِّ
yushaqqi
opposes
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
شَدِيدُ
shadidu
(is) severe
ٱلۡعِقَابِ
al-'iqabi
(in) penalty
٤
59:5
مَا
ma
Whatever
قَطَعۡتُم
qata'tum
you cut down
مِّن
min
of
لِّينَةٍ
linatin
(the) palm-trees
أَوۡ
aw
or
تَرَكۡتُمُوهَا
taraktumuha
you left them
قَآئِمَةً
qaimatan
standing
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
on
أُصُولِهَا
usuliha
their roots
فَبِإِذۡنِ
fabi-idh'ni
it (was) by the permission
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَلِيُخۡزِيَ
waliyukh'ziya
and that He may disgrace
ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ
al-fasiqina
the defiantly disobedient
٥
59:6
وَمَآ
wama
And what
أَفَآءَ
afaa
(was) restored
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
عَلَىٰ
ala
to
رَسُولِهِۦ
rasulihi
His Messenger
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
from them
فَمَآ
fama
then not
أَوۡجَفۡتُمۡ
awjaftum
you made expedition
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
for it
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡلٖ
khaylin
horses
وَلَا
wala
and not
رِكَابٖ
rikabin
camels
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
يُسَلِّطُ
yusallitu
gives power
رُسُلَهُۥ
rusulahu
(to) His Messengers
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُۚ
yashau
He wills
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
عَلَىٰ
ala
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
thing
قَدِيرٞ
qadirun
All-Powerful
٦
59:7
مَّآ
ma
What
أَفَآءَ
afaa
(was) restored
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
عَلَىٰ
ala
to
رَسُولِهِۦ
rasulihi
His Messenger
مِنۡ
min
from
أَهۡلِ
ahli
(the) people
ٱلۡقُرَىٰ
al-qura
(of) the towns
فَلِلَّهِ
falillahi
(it is) for Allah
وَلِلرَّسُولِ
walilrrasuli
and His Messenger
وَلِذِي
walidhi
and for those
ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ
al-qur'ba
(of) the kindred
وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ
wal-yatama
and the orphans
وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينِ
wal-masakini
and the needy
وَٱبۡنِ
wa-ib'ni
and
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
al-sabili
the wayfarer
كَيۡ
kay
that
لَا
la
not
يَكُونَ
yakuna
it becomes
دُولَةَۢ
dulatan
a (perpetual) circulation
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ٱلۡأَغۡنِيَآءِ
al-aghniyai
the rich
مِنكُمۡۚ
minkum
among you
وَمَآ
wama
And whatever
ءَاتَىٰكُمُ
atakumu
gives you
ٱلرَّسُولُ
al-rasulu
the Messenger
فَخُذُوهُ
fakhudhuhu
take it
وَمَا
wama
and whatever
نَهَىٰكُمۡ
nahakum
he forbids you
عَنۡهُ
anhu
from it
فَٱنتَهُواْۚ
fa-intahu
refrain
وَٱتَّقُواْ
wa-ittaqu
And fear
ٱللَّهَۖ
al-laha
Allah
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
شَدِيدُ
shadidu
(is) severe
ٱلۡعِقَابِ
al-'iqabi
(in) penalty
٧
59:8
لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ
lil'fuqarai
For the poor
ٱلۡمُهَٰجِرِينَ
al-muhajirina
emigrants
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُخۡرِجُواْ
ukh'riju
were expelled
مِن
min
from
دِيَٰرِهِمۡ
diyarihim
their homes
وَأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ
wa-amwalihim
and their properties
يَبۡتَغُونَ
yabtaghuna
seeking
فَضۡلٗا
fadlan
bounty
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَرِضۡوَٰنٗا
warid'wanan
and pleasure
وَيَنصُرُونَ
wayansuruna
and helping
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَرَسُولَهُۥٓۚ
warasulahu
and His Messenger
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
هُمُ
humu
they
ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ
al-sadiquna
(are) the truthful
٨
59:9
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
تَبَوَّءُو
tabawwau
settled
ٱلدَّارَ
al-dara
(in) the home
وَٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ
wal-imana
and (accepted) faith
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلِهِمۡ
qablihim
before them
يُحِبُّونَ
yuhibbuna
love
مَنۡ
man
(those) who
هَاجَرَ
hajara
emigrated
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ilayhim
to them
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَجِدُونَ
yajiduna
they find
فِي
fi
in
صُدُورِهِمۡ
sudurihim
their breasts
حَاجَةٗ
hajatan
any want
مِّمَّآ
mimma
of what
أُوتُواْ
utu
they were given
وَيُؤۡثِرُونَ
wayu'thiruna
but prefer
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
over
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
anfusihim
themselves
وَلَوۡ
walaw
even though
كَانَ
kana
was
بِهِمۡ
bihim
with them
خَصَاصَةٞۚ
khasasatun
poverty
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُوقَ
yuqa
is saved
شُحَّ
shuhha
(from) stinginess
نَفۡسِهِۦ
nafsihi
(of) his soul
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
then those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
al-muf'lihuna
(are) the successful ones
٩

وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those who
جَآءُو
jau
came
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِهِمۡ
ba'dihim
after them
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
they say
رَبَّنَا
rabbana
Our Lord
ٱغۡفِرۡ
igh'fir
forgive
لَنَا
lana
us
وَلِإِخۡوَٰنِنَا
wali-ikh'wanina
and our brothers
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
سَبَقُونَا
sabaquna
preceded us
بِٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ
bil-imani
in faith
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَجۡعَلۡ
taj'al
put
فِي
fi
in
قُلُوبِنَا
qulubina
our hearts
غِلّٗا
ghillan
any rancor
لِّلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
towards those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believed
رَبَّنَآ
rabbana
Our Lord
إِنَّكَ
innaka
indeed You
رَءُوفٞ
raufun
(are) Full of Kindness
رَّحِيمٌ
rahimun
Most Merciful
١٠
59:11
۞أَلَمۡ
alam
Do not
تَرَ
tara
you see
إِلَى
ila
[to]
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
نَافَقُواْ
nafaqu
(were) hypocrites
يَقُولُونَ
yaquluna
saying
لِإِخۡوَٰنِهِمُ
li-ikh'wanihimu
to their brothers
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
مِنۡ
min
among
أَهۡلِ
ahli
the People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Scripture
لَئِنۡ
la-in
If
أُخۡرِجۡتُمۡ
ukh'rij'tum
you are expelled
لَنَخۡرُجَنَّ
lanakhrujanna
surely we will leave
مَعَكُمۡ
ma'akum
with you
وَلَا
wala
and not
نُطِيعُ
nuti'u
we will obey
فِيكُمۡ
fikum
concerning you
أَحَدًا
ahadan
anyone
أَبَدٗا
abadan
ever
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
قُوتِلۡتُمۡ
qutil'tum
you are fought
لَنَنصُرَنَّكُمۡ
lanansurannakum
certainly we will help you
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يَشۡهَدُ
yashhadu
bears witness
إِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
that they
لَكَٰذِبُونَ
lakadhibuna
(are) surely liars
١١
59:12
لَئِنۡ
la-in
If
أُخۡرِجُواْ
ukh'riju
they are expelled
لَا
la
not
يَخۡرُجُونَ
yakhrujuna
they will leave
مَعَهُمۡ
ma'ahum
with them
وَلَئِن
wala-in
and if
قُوتِلُواْ
qutilu
they are fought
لَا
la
not
يَنصُرُونَهُمۡ
yansurunahum
they will help them
وَلَئِن
wala-in
And if
نَّصَرُوهُمۡ
nasaruhum
they help them
لَيُوَلُّنَّ
layuwallunna
certainly they will turn
ٱلۡأَدۡبَٰرَ
al-adbara
(their) backs
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
لَا
la
not
يُنصَرُونَ
yunsaruna
they will be helped
١٢
59:13
لَأَنتُمۡ
la-antum
Certainly you
أَشَدُّ
ashaddu
(are) more intense
رَهۡبَةٗ
rahbatan
(in) fear
فِي
fi
in
صُدُورِهِم
sudurihim
their breasts
مِّنَ
mina
than
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
Allah
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
bi-annahum
(is) because they
قَوۡمٞ
qawmun
(are) a people
لَّا
la
(who do) not
يَفۡقَهُونَ
yafqahuna
understand
١٣
59:14
لَا
la
Not
يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمۡ
yuqatilunakum
will they fight you
جَمِيعًا
jami'an
all
إِلَّا
illa
except
فِي
fi
in
قُرٗى
quran
towns
مُّحَصَّنَةٍ
muhassanatin
fortified
أَوۡ
aw
or
مِن
min
from
وَرَآءِ
warai
behind
جُدُرِۭۚ
judurin
walls
بَأۡسُهُم
basuhum
Their violence
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum
among themselves
شَدِيدٞۚ
shadidun
(is) severe
تَحۡسَبُهُمۡ
tahsabuhum
You think they
جَمِيعٗا
jami'an
(are) united
وَقُلُوبُهُمۡ
waqulubuhum
but their hearts
شَتَّىٰۚ
shatta
(are) divided
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
bi-annahum
(is) because they
قَوۡمٞ
qawmun
(are) a people
لَّا
la
not
يَعۡقِلُونَ
ya'qiluna
they reason
١٤
59:15
كَمَثَلِ
kamathali
Like (the) example
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلِهِمۡ
qablihim
before them
قَرِيبٗاۖ
qariban
shortly
ذَاقُواْ
dhaqu
they tasted
وَبَالَ
wabala
(the) evil result
أَمۡرِهِمۡ
amrihim
(of) their affair
وَلَهُمۡ
walahum
and for them
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
alimun
painful
١٥
59:16
كَمَثَلِ
kamathali
Like (the) example
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ
al-shaytani
(of) the Shaitaan
إِذۡ
idh
when
قَالَ
qala
he says
لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ
lil'insani
to man
ٱكۡفُرۡ
uk'fur
Disbelieve
فَلَمَّا
falamma
But when
كَفَرَ
kafara
he disbelieves
قَالَ
qala
he says
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I am
بَرِيٓءٞ
barion
disassociated
مِّنكَ
minka
from you
إِنِّيٓ
inni
Indeed [I]
أَخَافُ
akhafu
I fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
رَبَّ
rabba
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds

59:17
فَكَانَ
fakana
So will be
عَٰقِبَتَهُمَآ
aqibatahuma
(the) end of both of them
أَنَّهُمَا
annahuma
that they
فِي
fi
(will be) in
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
خَٰلِدَيۡنِ
khalidayni
abiding forever
فِيهَاۚ
fiha
therein
وَذَٰلِكَ
wadhalika
And that
جَزَٰٓؤُاْ
jazau
(is the) recompense
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
(of) the wrongdoers
١٧
59:18
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
you (who)
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
ٱتَّقُواْ
ittaqu
Fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَلۡتَنظُرۡ
waltanzur
and let look
نَفۡسٞ
nafsun
every soul
مَّا
ma
what
قَدَّمَتۡ
qaddamat
it has sent forth
لِغَدٖۖ
lighadin
for tomorrow
وَٱتَّقُواْ
wa-ittaqu
and fear
ٱللَّهَۚ
al-laha
Allah
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
خَبِيرُۢ
khabirun
(is) All-Aware
بِمَا
bima
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
١٨
59:19
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَكُونُواْ
takunu
be
كَٱلَّذِينَ
ka-alladhina
like those who
نَسُواْ
nasu
forgot
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
فَأَنسَىٰهُمۡ
fa-ansahum
so He made them forget
أَنفُسَهُمۡۚ
anfusahum
themselves
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
al-fasiquna
(are) the defiantly disobedient
١٩
59:20
لَا
la
Not
يَسۡتَوِيٓ
yastawi
equal
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
وَأَصۡحَٰبُ
wa-ashabu
and (the) companions
ٱلۡجَنَّةِۚ
al-janati
(of) Paradise
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(The) companions
ٱلۡجَنَّةِ
al-janati
(of) Paradise
هُمُ
humu
they
ٱلۡفَآئِزُونَ
al-faizuna
(are) the achievers
٢٠
59:21
لَوۡ
law
If
أَنزَلۡنَا
anzalna
We (had) sent down
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
al-qur'ana
Quran
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
جَبَلٖ
jabalin
a mountain
لَّرَأَيۡتَهُۥ
lara-aytahu
surely you (would) have seen it
خَٰشِعٗا
khashi'an
humbled
مُّتَصَدِّعٗا
mutasaddi'an
breaking asunder
مِّنۡ
min
from
خَشۡيَةِ
khashyati
(the) fear
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَتِلۡكَ
watil'ka
And these
ٱلۡأَمۡثَٰلُ
al-amthalu
examples
نَضۡرِبُهَا
nadribuha
We present them
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
to the people
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkaruna
give thought
٢١
59:22
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
لَآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
but
هُوَۖ
huwa
He
عَٰلِمُ
alimu
(the) All-Knower
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
al-ghaybi
(of) the unseen
وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِۖ
wal-shahadati
and the witnessed
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
al-rahmanu
(is) the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
al-rahimu
the Most Merciful
٢٢
59:23
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
لَآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
but
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱلۡمَلِكُ
al-maliku
the Sovereign
ٱلۡقُدُّوسُ
al-qudusu
the Holy One
ٱلسَّلَٰمُ
al-salamu
the Giver of Peace
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُ
al-mu'minu
the Giver of Security
ٱلۡمُهَيۡمِنُ
al-muhayminu
the Guardian
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡجَبَّارُ
al-jabaru
the Irresistible
ٱلۡمُتَكَبِّرُۚ
al-mutakabiru
the Supreme
سُبۡحَٰنَ
sub'hana
Glory (be to)
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
عَمَّا
amma
from what
يُشۡرِكُونَ
yush'rikuna
they associate (with Him)
٢٣
59:24
هُوَ
huwa
He
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
ٱلۡخَٰلِقُ
al-khaliqu
the Creator
ٱلۡبَارِئُ
al-bari-u
the Inventor
ٱلۡمُصَوِّرُۖ
al-musawiru
the Fashioner
لَهُ
lahu
For Him
ٱلۡأَسۡمَآءُ
al-asmau
(are) the names
ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ
al-hus'na
the beautiful
يُسَبِّحُ
yusabbihu
Glorifies
لَهُۥ
lahu
Him
مَا
ma
whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
wal-ardi
and the earth
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
And He
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
al-hakimu
the All-Wise
