53:2مَاmaNotضَلَّdallahas strayedصَاحِبُكُمۡsahibukumyour companionوَمَاwamaand notغَوَىٰghawahas he erred٢
53:6ذُوdhuPossessor of soundnessمِرَّةٖmirratinPossessor of soundnessفَٱسۡتَوَىٰfa-is'tawaAnd he rose٦
53:9فَكَانَfakanaAnd wasقَابَqaba(at) a distanceقَوۡسَيۡنِqawsayni(of) two bow-(lengths)أَوۡaworأَدۡنَىٰadnanearer٩
53:10فَأَوۡحَىٰٓfa-awhaSo he revealedإِلَىٰilatoعَبۡدِهِۦabdihiHis slaveمَآmawhatأَوۡحَىٰawhahe revealed١٠
53:12أَفَتُمَٰرُونَهُۥafatumarunahuThen will you dispute with himعَلَىٰalaaboutمَاmawhatيَرَىٰyarahe saw١٢
53:13وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd certainlyرَءَاهُraahuhe saw himنَزۡلَةًnazlatan(in) descentأُخۡرَىٰukh'raanother١٣
53:16إِذۡidhWhenيَغۡشَىyaghshacoveredٱلسِّدۡرَةَal-sid'ratathe Lote Treeمَاmawhatيَغۡشَىٰyaghshacovers١٦
53:17مَاmaNotزَاغَzaghaswervedٱلۡبَصَرُal-basaruthe sightوَمَاwamaand notطَغَىٰtaghait transgressed١٧
53:18لَقَدۡlaqadCertainlyرَأَىٰraahe sawمِنۡminofءَايَٰتِayati(the) Signsرَبِّهِrabbihi(of) his Lordٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰٓal-kub'rathe Greatest١٨
53:19أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُafara-aytumuSo have you seenٱللَّٰتَal-latathe Latوَٱلۡعُزَّىٰwal-'uzaand the Uzza١٩
53:21أَلَكُمُalakumuIs for youٱلذَّكَرُal-dhakaruthe maleوَلَهُwalahuand for Himٱلۡأُنثَىٰal-unthathe female٢١
53:23إِنۡinNotهِيَhiyatheyإِلَّآilla(are) exceptأَسۡمَآءٞasmaonnamesسَمَّيۡتُمُوهَآsammaytumuhayou have named themأَنتُمۡantumyouوَءَابَآؤُكُمwaabaukumand your forefathersمَّآmanotأَنزَلَanzalahas Allah sent downٱللَّهُal-lahuhas Allah sent downبِهَاbihafor itمِنminanyسُلۡطَٰنٍۚsul'taninauthorityإِنinNotيَتَّبِعُونَyattabi'unathey followإِلَّاillaexceptٱلظَّنَّal-zanaassumptionوَمَاwamaand whatتَهۡوَىtahwadesireٱلۡأَنفُسُۖal-anfusuthe(ir) soulsوَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd certainlyجَآءَهُمjaahumhas come to themمِّنminfromرَّبِّهِمُrabbihimutheir Lordٱلۡهُدَىٰٓal-hudathe guidance٢٣
53:25فَلِلَّهِfalillahiBut for Allahٱلۡأٓخِرَةُal-akhiratu(is) the lastوَٱلۡأُولَىٰwal-ulaand the first٢٥
53:26۞وَكَمwakamAnd how manyمِّنminofمَّلَكٖmalakin(the) Angelsفِيfiinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensلَاlanotتُغۡنِيtugh'niwill availشَفَٰعَتُهُمۡshafa'atuhumtheir intercessionشَيۡـًٔاshayananythingإِلَّاillaexceptمِنۢminafterبَعۡدِba'diafterأَنan[that]يَأۡذَنَyadhanaAllah has given permissionٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah has given permissionلِمَنlimanfor whomيَشَآءُyashauHe willsوَيَرۡضَىٰٓwayardaand approves٢٦
53:27إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoلَاla(do) notيُؤۡمِنُونَyu'minunabelieveبِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِbil-akhiratiin the Hereafterلَيُسَمُّونَlayusammunasurely they nameٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَal-malaikatathe Angelsتَسۡمِيَةَtasmiyataname(s)ٱلۡأُنثَىٰal-untha(of) female٢٧
53:28وَمَاwamaAnd notلَهُمlahumfor themبِهِۦbihiabout itمِنۡminanyعِلۡمٍۖil'minknowledgeإِنinNotيَتَّبِعُونَyattabi'unathey followإِلَّاillabutٱلظَّنَّۖal-zanaassumptionوَإِنَّwa-innaAnd indeedٱلظَّنَّal-zanathe assumptionلَاla(does) notيُغۡنِيyugh'niavailمِنَminaagainstٱلۡحَقِّal-haqithe truthشَيۡـٔٗاshayananything٢٨
53:29فَأَعۡرِضۡfa-a'ridSo turn awayعَنanfromمَّنman(him) whoتَوَلَّىٰtawallaturns awayعَنanfromذِكۡرِنَاdhik'rinaOur Reminderوَلَمۡwalamand notيُرِدۡyuridhe desiresإِلَّاillaexceptٱلۡحَيَوٰةَal-hayatathe lifeٱلدُّنۡيَاal-dun'ya(of) the world٢٩
53:30ذَٰلِكَdhalikaThatمَبۡلَغُهُمmablaghuhum(is) their sumمِّنَminaofٱلۡعِلۡمِۚal-'il'miknowledgeإِنَّinnaIndeedرَبَّكَrabbakayour Lordهُوَhuwa(is) He (Who)أَعۡلَمُa'lamuknows bestبِمَنbiman(he) whoضَلَّdallastraysعَنanfromسَبِيلِهِۦsabilihiHis Pathوَهُوَwahuwaand Heأَعۡلَمُa'lamuknows bestبِمَنِbimani(he) whoٱهۡتَدَىٰih'tadais guided٣٠
53:31وَلِلَّهِwalillahiAnd for Allahمَاma(is) whateverفِيfi(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَمَاwamaand whateverفِيfi(is) inٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthلِيَجۡزِيَliyajziyathat He may recompenseٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoأَسَٰٓـُٔواْasaudo evilبِمَاbimawith whatعَمِلُواْamiluthey have doneوَيَجۡزِيَwayajziyaand recompenseٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoأَحۡسَنُواْahsanudo goodبِٱلۡحُسۡنَىbil-hus'nawith the best٣١
53:32ٱلَّذِينَalladhinaThose whoيَجۡتَنِبُونَyajtanibunaavoidكَبَٰٓئِرَkabairagreatٱلۡإِثۡمِal-ith'misinsوَٱلۡفَوَٰحِشَwal-fawahishaand the immoralitiesإِلَّاillaexceptٱللَّمَمَۚal-lamamathe small faultsإِنَّinnaindeedرَبَّكَrabbakayour Lordوَٰسِعُwasi'u(is) vastٱلۡمَغۡفِرَةِۚal-maghfirati(in) forgivenessهُوَhuwaHeأَعۡلَمُa'lamu(is) most knowing about youبِكُمۡbikum(is) most knowing about youإِذۡidhwhenأَنشَأَكُمansha-akumHe produced youمِّنَminafromٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthوَإِذۡwa-idhand whenأَنتُمۡantumyou (were)أَجِنَّةٞajinnatunfetusesفِيfiinبُطُونِbutuni(the) wombsأُمَّهَٰتِكُمۡۖummahatikum(of) your mothersفَلَاfalaSo (do) notتُزَكُّوٓاْtuzakkuascribe purityأَنفُسَكُمۡۖanfusakum(to) yourselvesهُوَhuwaHeأَعۡلَمُa'lamuknows bestبِمَنِbimani(he) whoٱتَّقَىٰٓittaqafears٣٢
53:35أَعِندَهُۥa'indahuIs with himعِلۡمُil'mu(the) knowledgeٱلۡغَيۡبِal-ghaybi(of) the unseenفَهُوَfahuwaso heيَرَىٰٓyarasees٣٥
53:36أَمۡamOrلَمۡlamnotيُنَبَّأۡyunabbahe was informedبِمَاbimawith whatفِيfi(was) inصُحُفِsuhufi(the) Scripturesمُوسَىٰmusa(of) Musa٣٦
53:38أَلَّاallaThat notتَزِرُtaziruwill bearوَازِرَةٞwaziratuna bearer of burdensوِزۡرَwiz'ra(the) burdenأُخۡرَىٰukh'ra(of) another٣٨
53:39وَأَنwa-anAnd thatلَّيۡسَlaysais notلِلۡإِنسَٰنِlil'insanifor manإِلَّاillaexceptمَاmawhatسَعَىٰsa'ahe strives (for)٣٩
53:41ثُمَّthummaThenيُجۡزَىٰهُyuj'zahuhe will be recompensed for itٱلۡجَزَآءَal-jazaathe recompenseٱلۡأَوۡفَىٰal-awfathe fullest٤١
53:42وَأَنَّwa-annaAnd thatإِلَىٰilatoرَبِّكَrabbikayour Lordٱلۡمُنتَهَىٰal-muntaha(is) the final goal٤٢
53:43وَأَنَّهُۥwa-annahuAnd that Heهُوَhuwa[He]أَضۡحَكَadhakamakes (one) laughوَأَبۡكَىٰwa-abkaand makes (one) weep٤٣
53:44وَأَنَّهُۥwa-annahuAnd that Heهُوَhuwa[He]أَمَاتَamatacauses deathوَأَحۡيَاwa-ahyaand gives life٤٤
53:45وَأَنَّهُۥwa-annahuAnd that Heخَلَقَkhalaqacreatedٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِal-zawjaynithe pairsٱلذَّكَرَal-dhakarathe maleوَٱلۡأُنثَىٰwal-unthaand the female٤٥
53:47وَأَنَّwa-annaAnd thatعَلَيۡهِalayhiupon Himٱلنَّشۡأَةَal-nashata(is) the bringing forthٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰal-ukh'raanother٤٧
53:49وَأَنَّهُۥwa-annahuAnd that Heهُوَhuwa[He]رَبُّrabbu(is the) Lordٱلشِّعۡرَىٰal-shi'ra(of) Sirius٤٩
