وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
مَكَّنَّٰهُمۡ
makkannaahum
We had established them
فِيمَآ
feemaaa
in what
إِن
ʹim
not
مَّكَّنَّٰكُمۡ
makkannaakum
We have established you
فِيهِ
feehi
in it
وَجَعَلۡنَا
wa-jaʻalnaa
and We made
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
سَمۡعٗا
samʻañw
hearing
وَأَبۡصَٰرٗا
waʹabṣaarañw
and vision
وَأَفۡـِٔدَةٗ
waʹafʹidah:
and hearts
فَمَآ
famaaa
But not
أَغۡنَىٰ
ʹag̣naa
availed
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
them
سَمۡعُهُمۡ
samʻuhum
their hearing
وَلَآ
wa-laaa
and not
أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ
ʹabṣaaruhum
their vision
وَلَآ
wa-laaa
and not
أَفۡـِٔدَتُهُم
ʹafʹidatuhum
their hearts
مِّن
miñ
any
شَيۡءٍ
shayʹin
thing
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they were
يَجۡحَدُونَ
yajḥadoona
rejecting
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹAayaatil
(the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَحَاقَ
wa-ḥaaq̣a
and enveloped
بِهِم
bihim
them
مَّا
maa
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used to
بِهِۦ
bihee
[at it]
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yastahziʹoon!
ridicule
٢٦
46:27
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
أَهۡلَكۡنَا
ʹahlaknaa
We destroyed
مَا
maa-
what
حَوۡلَكُم
ḥawlakum
surrounds you
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡقُرَىٰ
q̣uraa
the towns
وَصَرَّفۡنَا
wa-ṣarrafnal
and We have diversified
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ
ʹAayaati
the Signs
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallahum
that they may
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarjiʻoon.
return
٢٧
46:28
فَلَوۡلَا
Falawlaa
Then why (did) not
نَصَرَهُمُ
naṣarahumul
help them
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenat
those whom
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
takhaẓoo
they had taken
مِن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
قُرۡبَانًا
q̣urbaanan
gods as a way of approach
ءَالِهَةَۢۖ
ʹaalihah?
gods as a way of approach
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
ضَلُّواْ
ḍalloo
they were lost
عَنۡهُمۡۚ
ʻanhum:
from them
وَذَٰلِكَ
wa-ẓaalika
And that
إِفۡكُهُمۡ
ʹifkuhum
(was) their falsehood
وَمَا
wa-maa
and what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they were
يَفۡتَرُونَ
yaftaroon.
inventing

46:29
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
صَرَفۡنَآ
ṣarafnaaa
We directed
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilayka
to you
نَفَرٗا
nafaram
a party
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡجِنِّ
Jinni
the jinn
يَسۡتَمِعُونَ
yastamiʻoonal
listening
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
Q̣urʹaan.
(to) the Quran
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
And when
حَضَرُوهُ
ḥaḍaroohu
they attended it
قَالُوٓاْ
q̣aalooo
they said
أَنصِتُواْۖ
ʹañṣitoo!
Listen quietly
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
And when
قُضِيَ
q̣uḍiya
it was concluded
وَلَّوۡاْ
wallaw
they turned back
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
قَوۡمِهِم
q̣awmihim
their people
مُّنذِرِينَ
muñẓireen.
(as) warners
٢٩
46:30
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
يَٰقَوۡمَنَآ
yaa-q̣awmanaaa
O our people
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
سَمِعۡنَا
samiʻnaa
[we] have heard
كِتَٰبًا
Kitaaban
a Book
أُنزِلَ
ʹuñzila
revealed
مِنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
مُصَدِّقٗا
muṣaddiq̣al
confirming
لِّمَا
limaa
what
بَيۡنَ
bayna
(was) before it
يَدَيۡهِ
yadayhi
(was) before it
يَهۡدِيٓ
yahdeee
guiding
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡحَقِّ
Ḥaq̣q̣i
the truth
وَإِلَىٰ
wa-ʹilaa
and to
طَرِيقٖ
Ṭareeq̣im
a Path
مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
Mustaq̣eem.
Straight
٣٠
46:31
يَٰقَوۡمَنَآ
Yaa-q̣awmanaaa
O our people
أَجِيبُواْ
ʹajeeboo
Respond
دَاعِيَ
Daaʻiyal
(to the) caller
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَءَامِنُواْ
wa-ʹaaminoo
and believe
بِهِۦ
bihee
in him
يَغۡفِرۡ
yag̣fir
He will forgive
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّن
miñ
of
ذُنُوبِكُمۡ
ẓunoobikum
your sins
وَيُجِرۡكُم
wa-yujirkum
and will protect you
مِّنۡ
min
from
عَذَابٍ
ʻAẓaabin
a punishment
أَلِيمٖ
ʹaleem.
painful
٣١
46:32
وَمَن
Wa-mal
And whoever
لَّا
laa
(does) not
يُجِبۡ
yujib
respond
دَاعِيَ
Daaʻiyal
(to the) caller
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
فَلَيۡسَ
falaysa
then not
بِمُعۡجِزٖ
bimuʻjiziñ
he can escape
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
وَلَيۡسَ
wa-laysa
and not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
مِن
miñ
besides Him
دُونِهِۦٓ
dooniheee
besides Him
أَوۡلِيَآءُۚ
ʹawliyaaaʹ:
protectors
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹulaaaʹika
Those
فِي
fee
(are) in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaalim
error
مُّبِينٍ
mubeen.
clear
٣٢
46:33
أَوَلَمۡ
ʹAwalam
Do not
يَرَوۡاْ
yaraw
they see
أَنَّ
ʹannal
that
ٱللَّهَ
laahal
Allah
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaq̣as
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-ʹarḍa
and the earth
وَلَمۡ
wa-lam
and (was) not
يَعۡيَ
yaʻya
tired
بِخَلۡقِهِنَّ
bikhalq̣ihinna
by their creation
بِقَٰدِرٍ
biq̣aadirin
(is) able
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
to give life
أَن
ʹañy
to give life
يُحۡـِۧيَ
yuḥyiyal
to give life
ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰۚ
mawtaa?
(to) the dead
بَلَىٰٓۚ
Balaaa
Yes
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
indeed He
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñ
thing
قَدِيرٞ
Q̣adeer.
All-Powerful
٣٣
46:34
وَيَوۡمَ
Wa-Yawma
And (the) Day
يُعۡرَضُ
yuʻraḍul
are exposed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
عَلَى
ʻalan
to
ٱلنَّارِ
Naar;
the Fire
أَلَيۡسَ
ʹalaysa
Is not
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣?
the truth
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They will say
بَلَىٰ
balaa
Yes
وَرَبِّنَاۚ
wa-Rabbinaa!
by our Lord
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He will say
فَذُوقُواْ
faẓooq̣ul
Then taste
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
ʻaẓaaba
the punishment
بِمَا
bimaa
because
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you used to
تَكۡفُرُونَ
takfuroon!
disbelieve
٣٤
46:35
فَٱصۡبِرۡ
Faṣbir
So be patient
كَمَا
kamaa
as
صَبَرَ
ṣabara
had patience
أُوْلُواْ
ʹulul
those of determination
ٱلۡعَزۡمِ
ʻazmi
those of determination
مِنَ
minar
of
ٱلرُّسُلِ
rusuli
the Messengers
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَسۡتَعۡجِل
tastaʻjil
seek to hasten
لَّهُمۡۚ
lahum.
for them
كَأَنَّهُمۡ
Kaʹannahum
As if they had
يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(the) Day
يَرَوۡنَ
yarawna
they see
مَا
maa-
what
يُوعَدُونَ
yooʻadoona
they were promised
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ
yalbas̤ooo
remained
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
سَاعَةٗ
saaʻatam
an hour
مِّن
min
of
نَّهَارِۭۚ
nahaar.
a day
بَلَٰغٞۚ
Balaag̣uñ
A notification
فَهَلۡ
fahal
But will
يُهۡلَكُ
yuhlaku
(any) be destroyed
إِلَّا
ʹillal
except
ٱلۡقَوۡمُ
q̣awmul
the people
ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
faasiq̣oon.
the defiantly disobedient
٣٥
