وَنَعۡمَةٖ

And pleasant things
كَانُواْ

they used to
فِيهَا

فَٰكِهِينَ

take delight

كَذَٰلِكَۖ
kadhalika
Thus
وَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَا
wa-awrathnaha
And We made it (an) inherit(ance)
قَوۡمًا
qawman
(for) a people
ءَاخَرِينَ
akharina
another
٢٨
44:29
فَمَا
fama
And not
بَكَتۡ
bakat
wept
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
for them
ٱلسَّمَآءُ
al-samau
the heaven
وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ
wal-ardu
and the earth
وَمَا
wama
and not
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
مُنظَرِينَ
munzarina
given respite
٢٩
44:30
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
نَجَّيۡنَا
najjayna
We saved
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(the) Children of Israel
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
the punishment
ٱلۡمُهِينِ
al-muhini
the humiliating
٣٠
44:31
مِن
min
From
فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ
fir'awna
Firaun
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
كَانَ
kana
was
عَالِيٗا
aliyan
arrogant
مِّنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ
al-mus'rifina
the transgressors
٣١
44:32
وَلَقَدِ
walaqadi
And certainly
ٱخۡتَرۡنَٰهُمۡ
ikh'tarnahum
We chose them
عَلَىٰ
ala
by
عِلۡمٍ
il'min
knowledge
عَلَى
ala
over
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
the worlds
٣٢
44:33
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم
waataynahum
And We gave them
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ
al-ayati
the Signs
مَا
ma
that
فِيهِ
fihi
in it
بَلَٰٓؤٞاْ
balaon
(was) a trial
مُّبِينٌ
mubinun
clear
٣٣
44:34
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haulai
these
لَيَقُولُونَ
layaquluna
surely they say
٣٤
44:35
إِنۡ
in
Not
هِيَ
hiya
it
إِلَّا
illa
(is) but
مَوۡتَتُنَا
mawtatuna
our death
ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
al-ula
the first
وَمَا
wama
and not
نَحۡنُ
nahnu
we
بِمُنشَرِينَ
bimunsharina
(will be) raised again
٣٥
44:36
فَأۡتُواْ
fatu
Then bring
بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ
biabaina
our forefathers
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
sadiqina
truthful
٣٦
44:37
أَهُمۡ
ahum
Are they
خَيۡرٌ
khayrun
better
أَمۡ
am
or
قَوۡمُ
qawmu
(the) people
تُبَّعٖ
tubba'in
(of) Tubba
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
and those
مِن
min
before them
قَبۡلِهِمۡ
qablihim
before them
أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ
ahlaknahum
We destroyed them
إِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
indeed they
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
مُجۡرِمِينَ
muj'rimina
criminals
٣٧
44:38
وَمَا
wama
And not
خَلَقۡنَا
khalaqna
We created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arda
and the earth
وَمَا
wama
and whatever
بَيۡنَهُمَا
baynahuma
(is) between them
لَٰعِبِينَ
la'ibina
(in) play
٣٨
44:39
مَا
ma
Not
خَلَقۡنَٰهُمَآ
khalaqnahuma
We created both of them
إِلَّا
illa
but
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
in [the] truth
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ
aktharahum
most of them
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know

إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(the) Day of Judgment
ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
al-fasli
(the) Day of Judgment
مِيقَٰتُهُمۡ
miqatuhum
(is) an appointed term for them
أَجۡمَعِينَ
ajma'ina
all
٤٠
44:41
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
لَا
la
not
يُغۡنِي
yugh'ni
will avail
مَوۡلًى
mawlan
a relation
عَن
an
for
مَّوۡلٗى
mawlan
a relation
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayan
anything
وَلَا
wala
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يُنصَرُونَ
yunsaruna
will be helped
٤١
44:42
إِلَّا
illa
Except
مَن
man
(on) whom
رَّحِمَ
rahima
Allah has mercy
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah has mercy
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
al-rahimu
the Most Merciful
٤٢
44:43
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
شَجَرَتَ
shajarata
(the) tree
ٱلزَّقُّومِ
al-zaqumi
(of) Zaqqum
٤٣
44:44
طَعَامُ
ta'amu
(Will be) food
ٱلۡأَثِيمِ
al-athimi
(of) the sinner(s)
٤٤
44:45
كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ
kal-muh'li
Like the murky oil
يَغۡلِي
yaghli
it will boil
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡبُطُونِ
al-butuni
the bellies
٤٥
44:46
كَغَلۡيِ
kaghalyi
Like boiling
ٱلۡحَمِيمِ
al-hamimi
(of) scalding water
٤٦
44:47
خُذُوهُ
khudhuhu
Seize him
فَٱعۡتِلُوهُ
fa-i'tiluhu
and drag him
إِلَىٰ
ila
into
سَوَآءِ
sawai
(the) midst
ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
al-jahimi
(of) the Hellfire
٤٧
44:48
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
صُبُّواْ
subbu
pour
فَوۡقَ
fawqa
over
رَأۡسِهِۦ
rasihi
his head
مِنۡ
min
of
عَذَابِ
adhabi
(the) punishment
ٱلۡحَمِيمِ
al-hamimi
(of) the scalding water
٤٨
44:49
ذُقۡ
dhuq
Taste
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed you
أَنتَ
anta
[you] (were)
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
the mighty
ٱلۡكَرِيمُ
al-karimu
the noble
٤٩
44:50
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
مَا
ma
(is) what
كُنتُم
kuntum
you used to
بِهِۦ
bihi
[about it]
تَمۡتَرُونَ
tamtaruna
doubt
