أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹika
Those
هُمُ
humul
they
ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
kaafiroona
(are) the disbelievers
حَقّٗاۚ
ḥaq̣q̣aa;
truly
وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا
wa-ʹaʻtadnaa
And We have prepared
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lilkaafireena
for the disbelievers
عَذَابٗا
ʻaẓaabam
a punishment
مُّهِينٗا
muheenaa.
humiliating
١٥١
4:152
وَٱلَّذِينَ
Wallaẓeena
And those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
wa-Rusulihee
and His Messengers
وَلَمۡ
wa-lam
and not
يُفَرِّقُواْ
yufarriq̣oo
they differentiate
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
أَحَدٖ
ʹaḥadim
(any) one
مِّنۡهُمۡ
minhum
of them
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹulaaʹika
those
سَوۡفَ
sawfa
soon
يُؤۡتِيهِمۡ
yuʹteehim
He will give them
أُجُورَهُمۡۚ
ʹujoorahum:
their reward
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
غَفُورٗا
G̣afoorar
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٗا
Raḥeemaa.
Most Merciful
١٥٢
4:153
يَسۡـَٔلُكَ
Yasʹaluka
Ask you
أَهۡلُ
ʹAhlul
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
(of) the Book
أَن
añ
that
تُنَزِّلَ
tunazzila
you bring down
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
to them
كِتَٰبٗا
Kitaabam
a book
مِّنَ
minas
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ
samaaaʹi
the heaven
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
Then indeed
سَأَلُواْ
saʹaloo
they (had) asked
مُوسَىٰٓ
Moosaaa
Musa
أَكۡبَرَ
ʹakbara
greater
مِن
miñ
than
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
فَقَالُوٓاْ
faq̣aalooo
for they said
أَرِنَا
ʹarinal
Show us
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
جَهۡرَةٗ
jahratañ
manifestly
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ
faʹakhaẓathumuṣ
so struck them
ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ
ṣaaʻiq̣atu
the thunderbolt
بِظُلۡمِهِمۡۚ
biz̤̣ulmihim.
for their wrongdoing
ثُمَّ
S̤ummat
Then
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
takhaẓul
they took
ٱلۡعِجۡلَ
ʻijla
the calf (for worship)
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مَا
maa-
[what]
جَآءَتۡهُمُ
jaaaʹathumul
came to them
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُ
Bayyinaatu
the clear proofs
فَعَفَوۡنَا
faʻafawnaa
then We forgave them
عَن
ʻañ
for
ذَٰلِكَۚ
ẓaalik:
that
وَءَاتَيۡنَا
wa-ʹaataynaa
And We gave
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
سُلۡطَٰنٗا
sulṭaanam
an authority
مُّبِينٗا
mubeena.

4:154
وَرَفَعۡنَا
Wa-Rafaʻnaa
And We raised
فَوۡقَهُمُ
fawq̣ahumuṭ
over them
ٱلطُّورَ
Ṭoora
the mount
بِمِيثَٰقِهِمۡ
bi-Mis̤aaq̣ihim
for their covenant
وَقُلۡنَا
wa-q̣ulnaa
and We said
لَهُمُ
lahumud
to them
ٱدۡخُلُواْ
khulul
Enter
ٱلۡبَابَ
abaaba
the gate
سُجَّدٗا
sujjadañw
prostrating
وَقُلۡنَا
waq̣ulnaa
And We said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَعۡدُواْ
taʻdoo
transgress
فِي
fis
in
ٱلسَّبۡتِ
Sabti
the Sabbath
وَأَخَذۡنَا
wa-ʹakhaẓnaa
And We took
مِنۡهُم
minhum
from them
مِّيثَٰقًا
Mees̤aaq̣an
a covenant
غَلِيظٗا
g̣aleez̤̣aa.
solemn

4:155
فَبِمَا
Fabimaa
Then because of
نَقۡضِهِم
naq̣ḍihim
their breaking
مِّيثَٰقَهُمۡ
Mees̤aaq̣ahum
(of) their covenant
وَكُفۡرِهِم
wa-kufrihim̃
and their disbelief
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹAayaatil
in (the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَقَتۡلِهِمُ
wa-q̣atlihimul
and their killing
ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ
ʹambiyaaaʹa
(of) the Prophets
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayri
without
حَقّٖ
ḥaq̣q̣iñw
any right
وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ
wa-q̣awlihim
and their saying
قُلُوبُنَا
q̣uloobunaa
Our hearts
غُلۡفُۢۚ
g̣ulf;
(are) wrapped
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
طَبَعَ
ṭabaʻal
(has) set a seal
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
on their (hearts)
بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ
bikufrihim
for their disbelief
فَلَا
falaa
so not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoona
they believe
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
قَلِيلٗا
q̣aleelaa;
a few
١٥٥
4:156
وَبِكُفۡرِهِمۡ
Wa-bikufrihim
And for their disbelief
وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ
wa-q̣awlihim
and their saying
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
against
مَرۡيَمَ
Maryama
Maryam
بُهۡتَٰنًا
buh-taanan
a slander
عَظِيمٗا
ʻaz̤̣eemaa;
great
١٥٦
4:157
وَقَوۡلِهِمۡ
Wa-q̣awlihim
And for their saying
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
قَتَلۡنَا
q̣atal-nal
killed
ٱلۡمَسِيحَ
Maseeḥa
the Messiah
عِيسَى
ʻEesab
Isa
ٱبۡنَ
na
son
مَرۡيَمَ
Maryama
(of) Maryam
رَسُولَ
Rasoolal
(the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
laah;―
(of) Allah
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
قَتَلُوهُ
q̣ataloohu
they killed him
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
صَلَبُوهُ
ṣalaboohu
they crucified him
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakiñ
but
شُبِّهَ
shubbiha
it was made to appear (so)
لَهُمۡۚ
lahum;
to them
وَإِنَّ
wa-ʹinnal
And indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenakh
those who
ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
talafoo
differ
فِيهِ
feehi
in it
لَفِي
lafee
(are) surely in
شَكّٖ
shakkim
doubt
مِّنۡهُۚ
minh:
about it
مَا
maa-
Not
لَهُم
lahum̃
for them
بِهِۦ
bihee
about it
مِنۡ
min
[of]
عِلۡمٍ
ʻilmin
(any) knowledge
إِلَّا
ʹillat
except
ٱتِّبَاعَ
tibaaʻaz̤̣
(the) following
ٱلظَّنِّۚ
z̤̣ann;
(of) assumption
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
قَتَلُوهُ
q̣ataloohu
they killed him
يَقِينَۢا
yaq̣eenaa;―
certainly
١٥٧
4:158
بَل
Bar
Nay
رَّفَعَهُ
rafaʻahul
he was raised
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(by) Allah
إِلَيۡهِۚ
ʹilayh:
towards Him
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَزِيزًا
ʹAzeezan
All-Mighty
حَكِيمٗا
Ḥakeemaa;―
All-Wise
١٥٨
4:159
وَإِن
Wa-ʹim
And (there is) not
مِّنۡ
min
from
أَهۡلِ
ʹAhlil
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
(of) the Book
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
لَيُؤۡمِنَنَّ
layuʹminanna
surely he believes
بِهِۦ
bihee
in him
قَبۡلَ
q̣abla
before
مَوۡتِهِۦۖ
mawtih;
his death
وَيَوۡمَ
wa-Yawmal
And (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamati
(of) the Resurrection
يَكُونُ
yakoonu
he will be
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
against them
شَهِيدٗا
shaheedaa;―
a witness
١٥٩
4:160
فَبِظُلۡمٖ
Fabiz̤̣ulmim
Then for (the) wrongdoing
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
هَادُواْ
haadoo
were Jews
حَرَّمۡنَا
ḥarramnaa
We made unlawful
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
for them
طَيِّبَٰتٍ
ṭayyibaatin
good things
أُحِلَّتۡ
ʹuḥillat
which had been lawful
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
وَبِصَدِّهِمۡ
wa-biṣaddihim
and for their hindering
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
كَثِيرٗا
kas̤eeraa;―
many
١٦٠
4:161
وَأَخۡذِهِمُ
Wa-ʹakhẓihimur
And for their taking
ٱلرِّبَوٰاْ
Ribaa
(of) [the] usury
وَقَدۡ
wa-q̣ad
while certainly
نُهُواْ
nuhoo
they were forbidden
عَنۡهُ
ʻanhu
from it
وَأَكۡلِهِمۡ
wa-ʹaklihim
and (for) their consuming
أَمۡوَٰلَ
ʹamwaalan
wealth
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
(of) the people
بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِۚ
bilbaaṭil;―
wrongfully
وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا
waʹaʻtadnaa
And We have prepared
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lilkaafireena
for the disbelievers
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
among them
عَذَابًا
ʻaẓaaban
a punishment
أَلِيمٗا
ʹaleemaa.
painful
١٦١
4:162
لَّٰكِنِ
Laakinir
But
ٱلرَّٰسِخُونَ
Raasikhoona
the ones who are firm
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡعِلۡمِ
ʻilmi
the knowledge
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
among them
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
wal-Muʹminoona
and the believers
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoona
believe
بِمَآ
bimaaa
in what
أُنزِلَ
ʹuñzila
(is) revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilayka
to you
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
and what
أُنزِلَ
ʹuñzila
was revealed
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلِكَۚ
q̣ablika
before you
وَٱلۡمُقِيمِينَ
walmuq̣eemeenaṣ
And the ones who establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۚ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
وَٱلۡمُؤۡتُونَ
Walmuʹtoonaz
and the ones who give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
Zakaata
the zakah
وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
wal-Muʹminoona
and the ones who believe
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-Yawmil
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
ʹAakhir:
the Last
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹulaaaʹika
those
سَنُؤۡتِيهِمۡ
sanuʹteehim
We will give them
أَجۡرًا
ʹajran
a reward
عَظِيمًا
ʻa-Z̤̣eemaa.

۞إِنَّآ
ʹInnaaa
Indeed We
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
ʹawḥaynaaa
have revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilayka
to you
كَمَآ
kamaaa
as
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
ʹawḥaynaaa
We revealed
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
نُوحٖ
Nooḥiñw
Nuh
وَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ
wan-nabiyyeena
and the Prophets
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِهِۦۚ
baʻdih;
after him
وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ
wa-ʹawḥaynaaa
and We revealed
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
to
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
Ibrahim
وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ
wa-ʹIsmaaʻeela
and Ishmael
وَإِسۡحَٰقَ
wa-ʹIsḥaaq̣a
and Isaac
وَيَعۡقُوبَ
wa-Yaʻq̣ooba
and Yaqub
وَٱلۡأَسۡبَاطِ
wal-ʹasbaaṭi
and the tribes
وَعِيسَىٰ
wa-ʻEesaa
and Isa
وَأَيُّوبَ
wa-ʹayyooba
and Ayyub
وَيُونُسَ
wa-Yoonusa
and Yunus
وَهَٰرُونَ
wa-Haaroona
and Harun
وَسُلَيۡمَٰنَۚ
wa-Sulaymaan:
and Sulaiman
وَءَاتَيۡنَا
wa-ʹaataynaa
and We gave
دَاوُۥدَ
Daawooda
(to) Dawood
زَبُورٗا
Zabooraa.
the Zaboor
١٦٣
4:164
وَرُسُلٗا
Wa-rusulañ
And Messengers
قَدۡ
q̣ad
surely
قَصَصۡنَٰهُمۡ
q̣aṣaṣnaahum
We (have) mentioned them
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
to you
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلُ
q̣ablu
before
وَرُسُلٗا
wa-rusulal
and Messengers
لَّمۡ
lam
not
نَقۡصُصۡهُمۡ
naq̣ṣuṣhum
We (have) mentioned them
عَلَيۡكَۚ
ʻalayk;
to you
وَكَلَّمَ
wa-kallamal
And spoke
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
(to) Musa
تَكۡلِيمٗا
takleemaa;
(in a) conversation
١٦٤
4:165
رُّسُلٗا
Rusulam
Messengers
مُّبَشِّرِينَ
mubashshireena
bearers of glad tidings
وَمُنذِرِينَ
wa-muñẓireena
and warners
لِئَلَّا
liʹallaa
so that not
يَكُونَ
yakoona
there is
لِلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for mankind
عَلَى
ʻalal
against
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
حُجَّةُۢ
ḥujjatum
any argument
بَعۡدَ
baʻdar
after
ٱلرُّسُلِۚ
rusul;
the Messengers
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَزِيزًا
ʻAzeezan
All-Mighty
حَكِيمٗا
Ḥakeemaa.
All-Wise
١٦٥
4:166
لَّٰكِنِ
Laakinil
But
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
يَشۡهَدُ
yashhadu
bears witness
بِمَآ
bimaaa
to what
أَنزَلَ
ʹañzala
He (has) revealed
إِلَيۡكَۖ
ʹilayka
to you
أَنزَلَهُۥ
ʹañzalahoo
He has sent it down
بِعِلۡمِهِۦۖ
biʻilmihee
with His Knowledge
وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
wal-malaaaikatu
and the Angels
يَشۡهَدُونَۚ
yashhadoon:
bear witness
وَكَفَىٰ
wa-kafaa
And is sufficient
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
Allah
شَهِيدًا
Shaheedaa.
(as) a Witness
١٦٦
4:167
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieve
وَصَدُّواْ
wa-saddoo
and hinder
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
قَدۡ
q̣ad
surely
ضَلُّواْ
ḍalloo
they have strayed
ضَلَٰلَۢا
ḍalaalam
straying
بَعِيدًا
baʻeedaa.
far away
١٦٧
4:168
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
وَظَلَمُواْ
waz̤̣alamoo
and did wrong
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَكُنِ
yakunil
will
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لِيَغۡفِرَ
liyag̣fira
[to] forgive
لَهُمۡ
lahum
them
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
لِيَهۡدِيَهُمۡ
liyahdiyahum
He will guide them
طَرِيقًا
ṭareeq̣aa―
(to) a way
١٦٨
4:169
إِلَّا
ʹIllaa
Except
طَرِيقَ
ṭareeq̣a
(the) way
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
(to) Hell
خَٰلِدِينَ
khaalideena
abiding
فِيهَآ
fihaaa
in it
أَبَدٗاۚ
ʹabadaa.
forever
وَكَانَ
Wa-kaana
And is
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
عَلَى
ʻalal
for
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
يَسِيرٗا
yaseeraa.
easy
١٦٩
4:170
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhan
O
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
mankind
قَدۡ
q̣ad
Surely
جَآءَكُمُ
jaaaʹakumur
has come to you
ٱلرَّسُولُ
Rasoolu
the Messenger
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bilḥaq̣q̣i
with the truth
مِن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡ
rabbikum
your Lord
فَـَٔامِنُواْ
faʹaaminoo
so believe
خَيۡرٗا
khayral
(it is) better
لَّكُمۡۚ
lakum.
for you
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
But if
تَكۡفُرُواْ
takfuroo
you disbelieve
فَإِنَّ
faʹinna
then indeed
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah (belongs)
مَا
maa-
whatever
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
wal-ʹarḍ:
and the earth
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَلِيمًا
ʻAleeman
All-Knowing
حَكِيمٗا
Ḥakeemaa.
All-Wise

يَٰٓأَهۡلَ
Yaaaʹahlal
O People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
(of) the Book
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَغۡلُواْ
tag̣loo
commit excess
فِي
fee
in
دِينِكُمۡ
deenikum
your religion
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَقُولُواْ
taq̣ooloo
say
عَلَى
ʻalal
about
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
إِلَّا
ʹillal
except
ٱلۡحَقَّۚ
ḥaq̣q̣.
the truth
إِنَّمَا
ʹInnamal
Only
ٱلۡمَسِيحُ
Maseeḥu
the Messiah
عِيسَى
ʻEesab
Isa
ٱبۡنُ
nu
son
مَرۡيَمَ
Maryama
(of) Maryam
رَسُولُ
Rasoolul
(was) a Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓ
wa-Kalimatuhooo
and His word
أَلۡقَىٰهَآ
ʹalq̣aahaaa
which He conveyed
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
مَرۡيَمَ
Maryama
Maryam
وَرُوحٞ
wa-rooḥum
and a spirit
مِّنۡهُۖ
minh.
from Him
فَـَٔامِنُواْ
Faʹaaminoo
So believe
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَرُسُلِهِۦۖ
wa-Rusulih.
and His Messengers
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَقُولُواْ
taq̣ooloo
say
ثَلَٰثَةٌۚ
S̤alaas̤ah:
Three
ٱنتَهُواْ
ʹiñtahoo
desist
خَيۡرٗا
khayral
(it is) better
لَّكُمۡۚ
lakum:
for you
إِنَّمَا
ʹinnamal
Only
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
إِلَٰهٞ
ʹIlaahuñw
(is) God
وَٰحِدٞۖ
waaḥid:
One
سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥٓ
Subḥaanahooo
Glory be to Him
أَن
ʹañy
That
يَكُونَ
yakoona
He (should) have
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for Him
وَلَدٞۘ
walad.
a son
لَّهُۥ
Lahoo
To Him (belongs)
مَا
maa-
whatever
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَمَا
wa-maa
and whatever
فِي
fil
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ
ʹarḍ.
the earth
وَكَفَىٰ
Wa-kafa
And is sufficient
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
Allah
وَكِيلٗا
Wakeela.
(as) a Disposer of affairs
١٧١
4:172
لَّن
Lañy
Never
يَسۡتَنكِفَ
yastañkifal
will disdain
ٱلۡمَسِيحُ
Maseeḥu
the Messiah
أَن
ʹañy
to
يَكُونَ
yakoona
be
عَبۡدٗا
ʻAbdal
a slave
لِّلَّهِ
lillaahi
of Allah
وَلَا
wa-lal
and not
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
malaaaʹikatul
the Angels
ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَۚ
muq̣arraboon.
the ones who are near (to Allah)
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَسۡتَنكِفۡ
yastañkif
disdains
عَنۡ
ʻan
from
عِبَادَتِهِۦ
ʻibaadatihee
His worship
وَيَسۡتَكۡبِرۡ
wa-yastakbir
and is arrogant
فَسَيَحۡشُرُهُمۡ
fasayaḥshuruhum
then He will gather them
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
towards Him
جَمِيعٗا
jameeʻaa.
all together
١٧٢
4:173
فَأَمَّا
Faʹammal
Then as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and did
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
ṣaaliḥaati
the righteous deeds
فَيُوَفِّيهِمۡ
fayuwaffeehim
then He will give them in full
أُجُورَهُمۡ
ʹujoorahum

وَيَزِيدُهُم
wa-yazeeduhum
and give them more
مِّن
miñ
from
فَضۡلِهِۦۖ
faḍlih;
His Bounty
وَأَمَّا
wa-ʹammal
And as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenas
those who
ٱسۡتَنكَفُواْ
tañkafoo
disdained
وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ
wastakbaroo
and were arrogant
فَيُعَذِّبُهُمۡ
fayuʻaẓẓibuhum
then He will punish them
عَذَابًا
ʻaẓaaban
(with) a punishment
أَلِيمٗا
ʹaleemaa.
painful
وَلَا
Wa-laa
and not
يَجِدُونَ
yajidoona
will they find
لَهُم
lahum
for themselves
مِّن
miñ
from
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَلِيّٗا
waliyyañw
any protector
وَلَا
walaa
and not
نَصِيرٗا
naṣeeraa.
any helper
١٧٣
4:174
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaa-ʹayyuhan
O
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
mankind
قَدۡ
q̣ad
Surely
جَآءَكُم
jaaaʹakum
has come to you
بُرۡهَٰنٞ
Burhaanum
a convincing proof
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡ
Rabbikum
your Lord
وَأَنزَلۡنَآ
wa-ʹañzalnaaa
and We (have) sent down
إِلَيۡكُمۡ
ʹilaykum
to you
نُورٗا
Nooram
a light
مُّبِينٗا
mubeena.

فَأَمَّا
Faʹammal
So as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَٱعۡتَصَمُواْ
waʻtaṣamoo
and held fast
بِهِۦ
bihee
to Him
فَسَيُدۡخِلُهُمۡ
fasayudkhiluhum
then He will admit them
فِي
fee
in
رَحۡمَةٖ
Raḥmatim
Mercy
مِّنۡهُ
minhu
from Himself
وَفَضۡلٖ
wa-Faḍliñw
and Bounty
وَيَهۡدِيهِمۡ
wayahdeehim
and will guide them
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to Himself
صِرَٰطٗا
Ṣiraaṭam
(on) a way
مُّسۡتَقِيمٗا
Mustaq̣eemaa.

يَسۡتَفۡتُونَكَ
Yastaftoonaka
They seek your ruling
قُلِ
qulil
Say
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
يُفۡتِيكُمۡ
yufteekum
gives you a ruling
فِي
fil
concerning
ٱلۡكَلَٰلَةِۚ
Kalaalah.
the Kalala
إِنِ
ʹInim
if
ٱمۡرُؤٌاْ
ruʹun
a man
هَلَكَ
halaka
died
لَيۡسَ
laysa
(and) not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
he has
وَلَدٞ
waladuñw
a child
وَلَهُۥٓ
walahooo
and he has
أُخۡتٞ
ʹukhtuñ
a sister
فَلَهَا
falahaa
then for her
نِصۡفُ
niṣfu
(is) a half
مَا
maa-
(of) what
تَرَكَۚ
tarak:
he left
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
And he
يَرِثُهَآ
yaris̤uhaaa
will inherit from her
إِن
ʹil
if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَكُن
yakul
is
لَّهَا
lahaa
for her
وَلَدٞۚ
walad.
a child
فَإِن
Faʹiñ
But if
كَانَتَا
kaanatas̤
there were
ٱثۡنَتَيۡنِ
natayni
two females
فَلَهُمَا
falahumas̤
then for them
ٱلثُّلُثَانِ
s̤ulus̤aani
two thirds
مِمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تَرَكَۚ
tarak:
he left
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
But if
كَانُوٓاْ
kaanooo
they were
إِخۡوَةٗ
ʹikhwatar
brothers and sisters
رِّجَالٗا
rijaalañw
men
وَنِسَآءٗ
wa-Nisaaaʹañ
and women
فَلِلذَّكَرِ
faliẓẓakari
then the male will have
مِثۡلُ
mis̤lu
like
حَظِّ
ḥaz̤̣z̤̣il
share
ٱلۡأُنثَيَيۡنِۗ
ʹuñs̤ayayn.
(of) the two females
يُبَيِّنُ
Yubayyinul
makes clear
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لَكُمۡ
lakum
to you
أَن
ʹañ
lest
تَضِلُّواْۗ
taḍilloo.
you go astray
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
of every
شَيۡءٍ
shayʹin
thing
عَلِيمُۢ
ʻAleem.
(is) All-Knower
