Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
ضَرَبۡتُمۡ

you travel
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ

the earth
فَلَيۡسَ
fallaysa
then not
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
upon you
جُنَاحٌ
junaaḥun
(is) any blame
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَقۡصُرُواْ
taq̣ṣuroo
you shorten
مِنَ
minaṣ
[of]
ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
Ṣalaati
the prayer
إِنۡ
ʹin
if
خِفۡتُمۡ
khiftum
you fear
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَفۡتِنَكُمُ
yaftinakumul
(may) harm you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُوٓاْۚ
kafaroo:
disbelieved
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireena
the disbelievers
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
are
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
عَدُوّٗا
ʻaduwwam
an enemy
مُّبِينٗا
mubeenaa.

وَإِذَا
Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
كُنتَ
kuñta
you are
فِيهِمۡ
feehim
among them
فَأَقَمۡتَ
faʹaq̣amta
and you lead
لَهُمُ
lahumuṣ
for them
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
فَلۡتَقُمۡ
faltaq̣um
then let stand
طَآئِفَةٞ
ṭaaaʹifatum
a group
مِّنۡهُم
minhum
of them
مَّعَكَ
maʻaka
with you
وَلۡيَأۡخُذُوٓاْ
wal-yaʹkhuẓooo
and let them take
أَسۡلِحَتَهُمۡۖ
ʹasliḥatahum:
their arms
فَإِذَا
faʹiẓaa
Then when
سَجَدُواْ
sajadoo
they have prostrated
فَلۡيَكُونُواْ
fal-yakoonoo
then let them be
مِن
miñw
from
وَرَآئِكُمۡ
waraaaʹikum.
behind you
وَلۡتَأۡتِ
Wal-taʹti
and let come (forward)
طَآئِفَةٌ
ṭaaaʹifatun
a group
أُخۡرَىٰ
ʹukhraa
other
لَمۡ
lam
(which has) not
يُصَلُّواْ
yuṣalloo
prayed
فَلۡيُصَلُّواْ
falyuṣalloo
and let them pray
مَعَكَ
maʻaka
with you
وَلۡيَأۡخُذُواْ
wal-yaʹkhuẓoo
and let them take
حِذۡرَهُمۡ
ḥiẓrahum
their precautions
وَأَسۡلِحَتَهُمۡۗ
wa-ʹasliḥatahum.
and their arms
وَدَّ
Waddal
Wished
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
لَوۡ
law
if
تَغۡفُلُونَ
tag̣fuloona
you neglect
عَنۡ
ʻan
[about]
أَسۡلِحَتِكُمۡ
ʹasliḥatikum
your arms
وَأَمۡتِعَتِكُمۡ
wa-ʹamtiʻatikum
and your baggage
فَيَمِيلُونَ
fayameeloona
so (that) they (can) assault
عَلَيۡكُم
ʻalaykum
[upon] you
مَّيۡلَةٗ
maylatañw
(in) an attack
وَٰحِدَةٗۚ
waaḥidah.
single
وَلَا
Wa-laa
But (there is) no
جُنَاحَ
junaaḥa
blame
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
upon you
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كَانَ
kaana
was
بِكُمۡ
bikum
with you
أَذٗى
ʹaẓam
any trouble
مِّن
mim
(because) of
مَّطَرٍ
maṭarin
rain
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
كُنتُم
kuñtum
you are
مَّرۡضَىٰٓ
marḍaaa
sick
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَضَعُوٓاْ
taḍaʻooo
you lay down
أَسۡلِحَتَكُمۡۖ
ʹasliḥatakum:
your arms
وَخُذُواْ
wa-khuẓoo
but take
حِذۡرَكُمۡۗ
ḥiẓrakum.
your precautions
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
أَعَدَّ
ʹaʻadda
has prepared
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lilkaafireena
for the disbelievers
عَذَابٗا
ʻaẓaabam
a punishment
مُّهِينٗا
muheenaa.
humiliating
١٠٢
4:103
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
Then when
قَضَيۡتُمُ
q̣aḍaytumuṣ
you (have) finished
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
فَٱذۡكُرُواْ
faẓkurul
then remember
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
قِيَٰمٗا
q̣iyaamañw
standing
وَقُعُودٗا
waq̣uʻoodañw
and sitting
وَعَلَىٰ
waʻalaa
and (lying) on
جُنُوبِكُمۡۚ
junoobikum.
your sides
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaṭ
But when
ٱطۡمَأۡنَنتُمۡ
maʹnañtum
you are secure
فَأَقِيمُواْ
faʹaq̣eemuṣ
then establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَۚ
Ṣalaah:
the (regular) prayer
إِنَّ
ʹinnaṣ
Indeed
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
كَانَتۡ
kanat
is
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineena
the believers
كِتَٰبٗا
kitaabam
prescribed
مَّوۡقُوتٗا
mawq̣ootaa.
(at) fixed times
١٠٣
4:104
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَهِنُواْ
tahinoo
be weak
فِي
fib
in
ٱبۡتِغَآءِ
tig̣aaaʹil
pursuit
ٱلۡقَوۡمِۖ
q̣awm
(of) the people
إِن
ʹIñ
If
تَكُونُواْ
takoonoo
you are
تَأۡلَمُونَ
taʹlamoona
suffering
فَإِنَّهُمۡ
faʹinnahum
then indeed they
يَأۡلَمُونَ
yaʹlamoona
are (also) suffering
كَمَا
kamaa
like what
تَأۡلَمُونَۖ
taʹlamoon;
you are suffering
وَتَرۡجُونَ
wa-tarjoona
while you (have) hope
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مَا
maa
what
لَا
laa-
not
يَرۡجُونَۗ
yar-joon.
they hope
وَكَانَ
Wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَلِيمًا
ʻAleeman
All-Knowing
حَكِيمًا
Ḥakeemaa.
All-Wise
١٠٤
4:105
إِنَّآ
ʹInnaaa
Indeed
أَنزَلۡنَآ
ʹañzalnaaa
We (have) sent down
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilaykal
to you
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bilḥaq̣q̣i
with the truth
لِتَحۡكُمَ
litaḥkuma
so that you may judge
بَيۡنَ
baynan
between
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the people
بِمَآ
bimaaa
with what
أَرَىٰكَ
ʹaraakal
has shown you
ٱللَّهُۚ
laah:
Allah
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَكُن
takul
be
لِّلۡخَآئِنِينَ
lilkhaaaʹineena
for the deceitful
خَصِيمٗا
khaṣeemaa;
a pleader
١٠٥

4:106
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرِ
Wastag̣firil
And seek forgiveness
ٱللَّهَۖ
laah;
(of) Allah
إِنَّ
innal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
كَانَ
kaana
is
غَفُورٗا
G̣afoorar
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٗا
Raḥeemaa.
Most Merciful
١٠٦
4:107
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تُجَٰدِلۡ
tujaadil
argue
عَنِ
ʻanil
for
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يَخۡتَانُونَ
yakhtaanoona
deceive
أَنفُسَهُمۡۚ
ʹañfusahum:
themselves
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibboo
love
مَن
mañ
(the one) who
كَانَ
kaana
is
خَوَّانًا
khawwaanan
treacherous
أَثِيمٗا
ʹas̤eemaa;
(and) sinful
١٠٧
4:108
يَسۡتَخۡفُونَ
Yastakhfoona
They seek to hide
مِنَ
minan
from
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the people
وَلَا
wa-laa
but not
يَسۡتَخۡفُونَ
yastakhfoona
(can) they hide
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwa
and He
مَعَهُمۡ
maʻahum
(is) with them
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
يُبَيِّتُونَ
yubayyitoona
they plot by night
مَا
maa
what
لَا
laa-
not
يَرۡضَىٰ
yarḍaa
(does) he approve
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡقَوۡلِۚ
q̣awl:
the word
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
يَعۡمَلُونَ
yaʻmaloona
they do
مُحِيطًا
Muḥeeṭaa.
All-Encompassing
١٠٨
4:109
هَٰٓأَنتُمۡ
Haaaʹañtum
Here you are
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haaaʹulaaaʹi
those who
جَٰدَلۡتُمۡ
jaadaltum
[you] argue
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
for them
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ḥayaatid
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa.
(of) the world
فَمَن
Famañy
but who
يُجَٰدِلُ
yujaadilul
will argue
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
(with) Allah
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
for them
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamati
(of) [the] Resurrection
أَم
ʹam
or
مَّن
mañy
who
يَكُونُ
yakoonu
will be
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
[over them]
وَكِيلٗا
wakeelaa?
(their) defender
١٠٩
4:110
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَعۡمَلۡ
yaʻmal
does
سُوٓءًا
soooʹan
evil
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
يَظۡلِمۡ
yaz̤̣lim
wrongs
نَفۡسَهُۥ
nafsahoo
his soul
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
يَسۡتَغۡفِرِ
yastag̣firil
seeks forgiveness
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
(of) Allah
يَجِدِ
yajidil
he will find
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَفُورٗا
G̣afoorar
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٗا
Raḥeemaa.
Most Merciful
١١٠
4:111
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَكۡسِبۡ
yaksib
earns
إِثۡمٗا
is̤mañ
sin
فَإِنَّمَا
faʹinnamaa
then only
يَكۡسِبُهُۥ
yaksibuhoo
he earns it
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
against
نَفۡسِهِۦۚ
nafsih:
his soul
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَلِيمًا
ʻAleeman
All-Knowing
حَكِيمٗا
Ḥakeemaa.
All-Wise
١١١
4:112
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَكۡسِبۡ
yaksib
earns
خَطِيٓـَٔةً
khaṭeeeʹatan
a fault
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
إِثۡمٗا
ʹis̤mañ
a sin
ثُمَّ
s̤ummaa
then
يَرۡمِ
yarmi
throws
بِهِۦ
bihee
it
بَرِيٓـٔٗا
bareeeʹañ
(on) an innocent
فَقَدِ
faq̣adiḥ
then surely
ٱحۡتَمَلَ
tamala
he (has) burdened (himself)
بُهۡتَٰنٗا
buhtaanañw
(with) a slander
وَإِثۡمٗا
waʹis̤mam
and a sin
مُّبِينٗا
mubeenaa.
manifest
١١٢
4:113
وَلَوۡلَا
Wa-lawlaa
And if not
فَضۡلُ
faḍlul
(for the) Grace
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
upon you
وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ
wa-Raḥmatuhoo
and His Mercy
لَهَمَّت
lahammaṭ
surely (had) resolved
طَّآئِفَةٞ
ṭaaaʹifatum
a group
مِّنۡهُمۡ
minhum
of them
أَن
ʹañy
to
يُضِلُّوكَ
yuḍillook.
mislead you
وَمَا
Wa-maa
But not
يُضِلُّونَ
yuḍilloona
they mislead
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
except
أَنفُسَهُمۡۖ
ʹañfusahum;
themselves
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
يَضُرُّونَكَ
yaḍurroonaka
they will harm you
مِن
miñ
in
شَيۡءٖۚ
shayʹ.
anything
وَأَنزَلَ
Wa-ʹañzalal
And has sent down
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalaykal
to you
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ
wal-Ḥikmata
and [the] Wisdom
وَعَلَّمَكَ
waʻallamaka
and taught you
مَا
maa-
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
تَكُن
takuñ
you did
تَعۡلَمُۚ
taʻlam:
know
وَكَانَ
wa-kaana
And is
فَضۡلُ
faḍlul
(the) Grace
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
upon you
عَظِيمٗا
ʻaz̤̣eemaa.
great
١١٣

4:114
۞لَّا
Laa-
(There is) no
خَيۡرَ
khayra
good
فِي
fee
in
كَثِيرٖ
kas̤eerim
much
مِّن
min
of
نَّجۡوَىٰهُمۡ
najwaahum
their secret talk
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَنۡ
man
(he) who
أَمَرَ
ʹamara
orders
بِصَدَقَةٍ
biṣadaq̣atin
charity
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
مَعۡرُوفٍ
maʻroofin
kindness
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
إِصۡلَٰحِۭ
ʹiṣlaahim
conciliation
بَيۡنَ
baynan
between
ٱلنَّاسِۚ
naas.
the people
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And who
يَفۡعَلۡ
yafʻal
does
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalikab
that
ٱبۡتِغَآءَ
tig̣aaaʹa
seeking
مَرۡضَاتِ
marḍaatil
pleasure
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
فَسَوۡفَ
fasawfa
then soon
نُؤۡتِيهِ
nuʹteehi
We will give him
أَجۡرًا
ʹajran
a reward
عَظِيمٗا
ʻaz̤̣eemaa.
great
١١٤
4:115
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يُشَاقِقِ
yushaaq̣iq̣ir
opposes
ٱلرَّسُولَ
Rasoola
the Messenger
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʹdi
after
مَا
maa-
what
تَبَيَّنَ
tabayyana
(has) become clear
لَهُ
lahul
to him
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ
hudaa
(of) the guidance
وَيَتَّبِعۡ
wa-yattabiʻ
and he follows
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayra
other than
سَبِيلِ
sabeelil
(the) way
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineena
(of) the believers
نُوَلِّهِۦ
nuwallihee
We will turn him
مَا
maa-
(to) what
تَوَلَّىٰ
tawallaa
he (has) turned
وَنُصۡلِهِۦ
wa-nuṣlihee
and We will burn him
جَهَنَّمَۖ
Jahannam:
(in) Hell
وَسَآءَتۡ
wa-saaaʹat
and evil it is
مَصِيرًا
maṣeeraa!
(as) a destination
١١٥
4:116
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَا
laa-
does not
يَغۡفِرُ
yag̣firu
forgive
أَن
ʹañy
that
يُشۡرَكَ
yushraka
partners be associated
بِهِۦ
bihee
with Him
وَيَغۡفِرُ
wayag̣firu
but He forgives
مَا
maa-
[what]
دُونَ
doona
other than
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
لِمَن
limañy
for whom
يَشَآءُۚ
yashaaaʹ.
He wills
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يُشۡرِكۡ
yushrik
associates partners
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
with Allah
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
then surely
ضَلَّ
ḍalla
he lost (the) way
ضَلَٰلَۢا
ḍalaalam
straying
بَعِيدًا
baʻeedaa.
far away
١١٦
4:117
إِن
ʹIñy
Not
يَدۡعُونَ
yadʻoona
they invoke
مِن
miñ
from
دُونِهِۦٓ
doonihee
besides Him
إِلَّآ
ʹillaaa
but
إِنَٰثٗا
ʹinaas̤aa:
female (deities)
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñy
and not
يَدۡعُونَ
yadʻoona
they invoke
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
شَيۡطَٰنٗا
Shayṭaanam
Shaitaan
مَّرِيدٗا
mareedaa.
rebellious
١١٧
4:118
لَّعَنَهُ
Laʻanahul
He was cursed
ٱللَّهُۘ
laah.
by Allah
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aala
and he said
لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ
laʹattakhiẓanna
I will surely take
مِنۡ
min
from
عِبَادِكَ
ʻibaadika
your slaves
نَصِيبٗا
naṣeebam
a portion
مَّفۡرُوضٗا
mafrooḍaa;
appointed
١١٨
4:119
وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمۡ
Wa-laʹuḍillannahum
And I will surely mislead them
وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمۡ
wa-laʹumanni-yannahum
and surely arouse desires in them
وَلَأٓمُرَنَّهُمۡ
wa-la-aamurannahum
and surely I will order them
فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ
falayubattikunna
so they will surely cut off
ءَاذَانَ
ʹaaẓaanal
(the) ears
ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ
ʹanʻaami
(of) the cattle
وَلَأٓمُرَنَّهُمۡ
wa-laʹaamurannahum
and surely I will order them
فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ
falayug̣ayeerunna
so they will surely change
خَلۡقَ
khalq̣al
(the) creation
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah.
(of) Allah
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَتَّخِذِ
yattakhiẓish
takes
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ
Shayṭaana
the Shaitaan
وَلِيّٗا
waliyyam
(as) a friend
مِّن
miñ
from
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
then surely
خَسِرَ
khasira
he (has) lost
خُسۡرَانٗا
khusraanam
a loss
مُّبِينٗا
mubeenaa.
manifest
١١٩
4:120
يَعِدُهُمۡ
Yaʻiduhum
He promises them
وَيُمَنِّيهِمۡۖ
wa-yuman-neehim;
and arouses desires in them
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
يَعِدُهُمُ
yaʻiduhumush
promises them
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
Shayṭaanu
the Shaitaan
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
غُرُورًا
g̣urooraa.
deception
١٢٠
4:121
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹika
Those
مَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ
maʹwaahum
their abode
جَهَنَّمُ
jahannamu
(is) Hell
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يَجِدُونَ
yajidoona
they will find
عَنۡهَا
ʻanhaa
from it
مَحِيصٗا
maḥeeṣaa.
any escape
١٢١

4:122
وَٱلَّذِينَ
Wallaẓeena
And those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe[d]
وَعَمِلُواْ
wa-ʻamiluṣ
and do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
ṣaalihaati
[the] righteous deeds
سَنُدۡخِلُهُمۡ
sanudkhiluhum
We will admit them
جَنَّٰتٖ
Jannaatiñ
(in) Gardens
تَجۡرِي
tajree
flow
مِن
miñ
from
تَحۡتِهَا
taḥtihal
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
ʹanhaaru
the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ
khaalideena
will abide
فِيهَآ
fihaaa
in it
أَبَدٗاۖ
ʹabadaa.
forever
وَعۡدَ
Waʻdal
A Promise
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
حَقّٗاۚ
ḥaq̣q̣aa:
(in) truth
وَمَنۡ
wa-man
and who
أَصۡدَقُ
ʹaṣdaq̣u
(is) truer
مِنَ
minal
than
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
قِيلٗا
q̣eelaa?
(in) statement
١٢٢
4:123
لَّيۡسَ
Laysa
Not
بِأَمَانِيِّكُمۡ
biʹamaaniyyikum
by your desire
وَلَآ
wa-laaa
and not
أَمَانِيِّ
ʹamaaniyyi
(by the) desire
أَهۡلِ
ʹAhlil
(of the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِۗ
Kitaab.
(of) the Book
مَن
Mañy
Whoever
يَعۡمَلۡ
yaʻmal
does
سُوٓءٗا
soooʹañy
evil
يُجۡزَ
yujza
will be recompensed
بِهِۦ
bihee
for it
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يَجِدۡ
yajid
he will find
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
مِن
miñ
from
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَلِيّٗا
waliyyañw
any protector
وَلَا
walaa
and not
نَصِيرٗا
naṣeeraa.
any helper
١٢٣
4:124
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَعۡمَلۡ
yaʻmal
does
مِنَ
minaṣ
[of]
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
ṣaaliḥaati
[the] righteous deeds
مِن
miñ
from
ذَكَرٍ
ẓakarin
(the) male
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أُنثَىٰ
ʹuñs̤aa
female
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
and he
مُؤۡمِنٞ
Muʹminuñ
(is) a believer
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those
يَدۡخُلُونَ
yadkhuloonal
will enter
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
jannata
Paradise
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يُظۡلَمُونَ
yuz̤̣lamoona
they will be wronged
نَقِيرٗا
naq̣eeraa.
(even as much as) the speck on a date-seed
١٢٤
4:125
وَمَنۡ
wa-man
And who
أَحۡسَنُ
ʹaḥsanu
(is) better
دِينٗا
deenam
(in) religion
مِّمَّنۡ
mimman
than (one) who
أَسۡلَمَ
ʹaslama
submits
وَجۡهَهُۥ
wajhahoo
his face
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah
وَهُوَ
wa-huwa
and he
مُحۡسِنٞ
Muḥsinuñw
(is) a good-doer
وَٱتَّبَعَ
wattabaʻa
and follows
مِلَّةَ
Millata
(the) religion
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
(of) Ibrahim
حَنِيفٗاۗ
Ḥaneefaa?
(the) upright
وَٱتَّخَذَ
Wattakhaẓal
And was taken
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(by) Allah
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
Ibrahim
خَلِيلٗا
khaleelaa.
(as) a friend
١٢٥
4:126
وَلِلَّهِ
Walillaahi
And for Allah
مَا
maa-
(is) what
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَمَا
wa-maa
and what
فِي
fil
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
ʹarḍ:
the earth
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
and is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
of every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹim
thing
مُّحِيطٗا
Muḥeeṭaa.
All-Encompassing
١٢٦
4:127
وَيَسۡتَفۡتُونَكَ
Wa-yastaftoonaka
And they seek your ruling
فِي
fin
concerning
ٱلنِّسَآءِۖ
nisaaaʹ.
the women
قُلِ
Q̣ulil
Say
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
يُفۡتِيكُمۡ
yufteekum
gives you the ruling
فِيهِنَّ
feehinna
about them
وَمَا
wa-maa
and what
يُتۡلَىٰ
yutlaa
is recited
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
to you
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
the Book
فِي
fee
concerning
يَتَٰمَى
yataaman
orphans
ٱلنِّسَآءِ
Nisaaaʹil
(of) girls
ٱلَّٰتِي
laatee
(to) whom
لَا
laa-
not
تُؤۡتُونَهُنَّ
tuʹtoonahunna
(do) you give them
مَا
maa-
what
كُتِبَ
kutiba
is ordained
لَهُنَّ
lahunna
for them
وَتَرۡغَبُونَ
wa-targ̣aboona
and you desire
أَن
ʹañ
to
تَنكِحُوهُنَّ
tañkiḥoohunna
marry them
وَٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ
wal-mustaḍʻa-feena
and the ones who are weak
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡوِلۡدَٰنِ
wildaani
the children
وَأَن
wa-ʹañ
and to
تَقُومُواْ
taq̣oomoo
stand
لِلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ
lilyataamaa
for orphans
بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۚ
bilq̣isṭ.
with justice
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And whatever
تَفۡعَلُواْ
tafʻaloo
you do
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayriñ
good
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
كَانَ
kaana
is
بِهِۦ
bihee
about it
عَلِيمٗا
ʻAleemaa.
All-Knowing

وَإِنِ
Wa-ʹinim
And if
ٱمۡرَأَةٌ
raʹatun
a woman
خَافَتۡ
khaafat
fears
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡلِهَا
baʻlihaa
her husband
نُشُوزًا
nushoozan
ill-conduct
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
إِعۡرَاضٗا
ʹiʻraaḍañ
desertion
فَلَا
falaa
then (there is) no
جُنَاحَ
junaaḥa
sin
عَلَيۡهِمَآ
ʻalayhimaaa
on both of them
أَن
ʹañy
that
يُصۡلِحَا
yuṣliḥaa
they make terms of peace
بَيۡنَهُمَا
baynahumaa
between themselves
صُلۡحٗاۚ
ṣulḥaa
a reconciliation
وَٱلصُّلۡحُ
waṣ-Ṣulhu
and [the] reconciliation
خَيۡرٞۗ
khayr;
(is) best
وَأُحۡضِرَتِ
wa-ʹuḥḍiratil
And are swayed
ٱلۡأَنفُسُ
ʹañfusush
the souls
ٱلشُّحَّۚ
shuḥḥ.
(by) greed
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
But if
تُحۡسِنُواْ
tuḥsinoo
you do good
وَتَتَّقُواْ
wa-tattaq̣oo
and fear (Allah)
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
كَانَ
kaana
is
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloona
you do
خَبِيرٗا
Khabeeraa.
All-Aware
١٢٨
4:129
وَلَن
Wa-lañ
And never
تَسۡتَطِيعُوٓاْ
tastaṭeeʻooo
will you be able
أَن
ʹañ
to
تَعۡدِلُواْ
taʻdiloo
deal justly
بَيۡنَ
baynan
between
ٱلنِّسَآءِ
Nisaaaʹi
[the] women
وَلَوۡ
wa-law
even if
حَرَصۡتُمۡۖ
ḥaraṣtum
you desired
فَلَا
falaa
but (do) not
تَمِيلُواْ
tameeloo
incline
كُلَّ
kullal
(with) all
ٱلۡمَيۡلِ
mayli
the inclination
فَتَذَرُوهَا
fataẓaroohaa
and leave her (the other)
كَٱلۡمُعَلَّقَةِۚ
kalmuʻal-laq̣ah.
like the suspended one
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
And if
تُصۡلِحُواْ
tuṣliḥoo
you reconcile
وَتَتَّقُواْ
wa-tattaq̣oo
and fear (Allah)
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
كَانَ
kaana
is
غَفُورٗا
G̣afoorar
Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٗا
Raḥeemaa.
Most Merciful
١٢٩
4:130
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñy
And if
يَتَفَرَّقَا
yatafarraq̣aa
they separate
يُغۡنِ
yug̣nil
will be enriched
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(by) Allah
كُلّٗا
kullam
each (of them)
مِّن
miñ
from
سَعَتِهِۦۚ
saʻatih:
His abundance
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
and is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
وَٰسِعًا
Waasiʻan
All-Encompassing
حَكِيمٗا
Ḥakeemaa.
All-Wise
١٣٠
4:131
وَلِلَّهِ
Walillaahi
And for Allah
مَا
maa-
(is) whatever
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَمَا
wa-maa
and whatever
فِي
fil
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ
ʹarḍ.
the earth
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And surely
وَصَّيۡنَا
waṣṣaynal
We have instructed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
أُوتُواْ
ʹootul
were given
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلِكُمۡ
q̣ablikum
before you
وَإِيَّاكُمۡ
wa-ʹiyyaakum
and yourselves
أَنِ
ʹanit
that
ٱتَّقُواْ
taq̣ul
you fear
ٱللَّهَۚ
laah.
Allah
وَإِن
Wa-ʹin
But if
تَكۡفُرُواْ
takfuroo
you disbelieve
فَإِنَّ
faʹinna
then indeed
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
for Allah
مَا
maa-
(is) whatever
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَمَا
wa-maa
and whatever
فِي
fil
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
ʹarḍ;
the earth
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
غَنِيًّا
G̣aniyyan
Free of need
حَمِيدٗا
Ḥameedaa.
Praiseworthy
١٣١
4:132
وَلِلَّهِ
Walillaahi
And for Allah
مَا
maa-
(is) whatever
فِي
fis
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
the heavens
وَمَا
wa-maa
and whatever
فِي
fil
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
ʹarḍ:
the earth
وَكَفَىٰ
wakafaa
And is sufficient
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
Allah
وَكِيلًا
Wakeelaa.
(as) a Disposer of affairs
١٣٢
4:133
إِن
ʹIñy
If
يَشَأۡ
yashaʹ
He wills
يُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ
yuẓhibkum
He can take you away
أَيُّهَا
ʹay-yuhan
O
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
people
وَيَأۡتِ
wa-yaʹti
and bring
بِـَٔاخَرِينَۚ
biʹaakhareen;
others
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
قَدِيرٗا
Q̣adeeraa.
All-Powerful
١٣٣
4:134
مَّن
Mañ
Whoever
كَانَ
kaana
[is]
يُرِيدُ
yureedu
desires
ثَوَابَ
s̤awaabad
reward
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
فَعِندَ
faʻiñdal
then with
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
ثَوَابُ
s̤awaabud
(is the) reward
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ
wal-ʹAakhirah:
and the Hereafter
وَكَانَ
wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
سَمِيعَۢا
Sameeʻam
All-Hearing
بَصِيرٗا
Baṣeeraa.
All-Seeing

۞يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaa-ʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laaẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe[d]
كُونُواْ
koonoo
Be
قَوَّٰمِينَ
q̣awwaameena
custodians
بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ
bilq̣isṭi
of justice
شُهَدَآءَ
shuhadaaaʹa
(as) witnesses
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah
وَلَوۡ
wa-law
even if
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
(it is) against
أَنفُسِكُمۡ
ʹañfusikum
yourselves
أَوِ
ʹawil
or
ٱلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ
waalidayni
the parents
وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَۚ
wal-ʹaq̣rabeen,
and the relatives
إِن
ʹiñy
if
يَكُنۡ
yakun
he be
غَنِيًّا
g̣aniyyan
rich
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
فَقِيرٗا
faq̣eeran
poor
فَٱللَّهُ
fallaahu
for Allah
أَوۡلَىٰ
awlaa
(is) nearer
بِهِمَاۖ
bihimaa.
to both of them
فَلَا
Falaa
So (do) not
تَتَّبِعُواْ
tattabiʻul
follow
ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ
hawaaa
the desire
أَن
ʹañ
lest
تَعۡدِلُواْۚ
taʻdiloo.
you deviate
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
And if
تَلۡوُۥٓاْ
talwooo
you distort
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
تُعۡرِضُواْ
tuʻriḍoo
refrain
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
كَانَ
kaana
is
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloona
you do
خَبِيرٗا
Khabeeraa.
All-Aware
١٣٥
4:136
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
ʹaamanooo
believe[d]
ءَامِنُواْ
ʹaaminoo
Believe
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
wa-Rasoolihee
and His Messenger
وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
wal-Kitaabil
and the Book
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
which
نَزَّلَ
nazzala
He revealed
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
upon
رَسُولِهِۦ
Rasoolihee
His Messenger
وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
wal-Kitaabil
and the Book
ٱلَّذِيٓ
laẓeee
which
أَنزَلَ
ʹañzala
He revealed
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلُۚ
q̣abl.
before
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَكۡفُرۡ
yakfur
disbelieves
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتِهِۦ
wa-malaaaʹikatihee
and His Angels
وَكُتُبِهِۦ
wa-Kutubihee
and His Books
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
wa-Rusulihee
and His Messengers
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-Yawmil
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
ʹAakhiri
the Last
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
then surely
ضَلَّ
ḍalla
he (has) lost (the) way
ضَلَٰلَۢا
ḍalaalam
straying
بَعِيدًا
baʹeedaa.
far away
١٣٦
4:137
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
(again) believed
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
ثُمَّ
s̤ummaz
then
ٱزۡدَادُواْ
daadoo
increased
كُفۡرٗا
kufral
(in) disbelief
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَكُنِ
yakunil
will
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لِيَغۡفِرَ
liyag̣fira
forgive
لَهُمۡ
lahum
[for] them
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
لِيَهۡدِيَهُمۡ
liyahdiyahum
will guide them
سَبِيلَۢا
Sabeelaa.
(to) a (right) way
١٣٧
4:138
بَشِّرِ
Bashshiril
Give tidings
ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
Munaafiq̣eena
(to) the hypocrites
بِأَنَّ
biʹanna
that
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابًا
ʻaẓaaban
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمًا
ʹaleemaa;―
painful
١٣٨
4:139
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
يَتَّخِذُونَ
yattakhiẓoonal
take
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireena
the disbelievers
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
ʹawliyaaaʹa
(as) allies
مِن
miñ
(from)
دُونِ
doonil
instead of
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَۚ
Muʹmineen:
the believers
أَيَبۡتَغُونَ
ʹa-yabtag̣oona
Do they seek
عِندَهُمُ
ʻiñdahumul
with them
ٱلۡعِزَّةَ
ʻizzata
the honor
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
But indeed
ٱلۡعِزَّةَ
ʻizzata
the honor
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
(is) for Allah
جَمِيعٗا
jameeʻaa?
all
١٣٩
4:140
وَقَدۡ
Wa-q̣ad
And surely
نَزَّلَ
nazzala
He has revealed
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
to you
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
the Book
أَنۡ
ʹan
that
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
سَمِعۡتُمۡ
samiʻtum
you hear
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayaatil
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
يُكۡفَرُ
yukfaru
being rejected
بِهَا
bihaa
[it]
وَيُسۡتَهۡزَأُ
wa-yustahzaʹu
and ridiculed
بِهَا
bihaa
at [it]
فَلَا
falaa
then do not
تَقۡعُدُواْ
taq̣ʻudoo
sit
مَعَهُمۡ
maʻahum
with them
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
يَخُوضُواْ
yakhooḍoo
they engage
فِي
fee
in
حَدِيثٍ
ḥadees̤in
a conversation
غَيۡرِهِۦٓ
g̣ayrih.
other than that
إِنَّكُمۡ
Innakum
Indeed you
إِذٗا
ʹiẓam
then
مِّثۡلُهُمۡۗ
mis̤luhum.
(would be) like them
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laha
Allah
جَامِعُ
jaamiʻul
will gather
ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
Munaafiq̣eena
the hypocrites
وَٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
wal-kaafireena
and the disbelievers
فِي
fee
in
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell
جَمِيعًا
jameeʻaa;―
all together

ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
يَتَرَبَّصُونَ
yatarabbaṣoona
are waiting
بِكُمۡ
bikum:
for you
فَإِن
faʹiñ
Then if
كَانَ
kaana
was
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
فَتۡحٞ
fatḥum
a victory
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
قَالُوٓاْ
q̣aalooo
they say
أَلَمۡ
ʹalam
Were not
نَكُن
nakum
we
مَّعَكُمۡ
maʻakum?
with you
وَإِن
Wa-ʹiñ
But if
كَانَ
kaana
(there) was
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lilkaafireena
for the disbelievers
نَصِيبٞ
naṣeebuñ
a chance
قَالُوٓاْ
q̣aalooo
they said
أَلَمۡ
ʹalam
Did not
نَسۡتَحۡوِذۡ
nastaḥwiẓ
we have advantage
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
over you
وَنَمۡنَعۡكُم
wa-namnaʻkum
and we protected you
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَۚ
Muʹmineen?
the believers
فَٱللَّهُ
Fallaahu
And Allah
يَحۡكُمُ
yaḥkumu
will judge
بَيۡنَكُمۡ
baynakum
between you
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ
Q̣iyaamah.
(of) the Resurrection
وَلَن
Wa-lañy
and never
يَجۡعَلَ
yajʻalal
will make
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lilkaafireena
for the disbelievers
عَلَى
ʻalal
over
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineena
the believers
سَبِيلًا
sabeelaa.
a way
١٤١
4:142
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
Munaafiq̣eena
the hypocrites
يُخَٰدِعُونَ
yukhaadiʻoonal
(seek to) deceive
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwa
and (it is) He
خَٰدِعُهُمۡ
khaadiʻuhum.
who deceives them
وَإِذَا
Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
قَامُوٓاْ
q̣aamooo
they stand
إِلَى
ʹilaṣ
for
ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
Ṣalaati
the prayer
قَامُواْ
q̣aamoo
they stand
كُسَالَىٰ
kusaalaa
lazily
يُرَآءُونَ
yuraaaʹoonan
showing off
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
(to) the people
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يَذۡكُرُونَ
yaẓkuroonal
they remember
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
قَلِيلٗا
q̣aleelaa;
a little
١٤٢
4:143
مُّذَبۡذَبِينَ
Muẓabẓabeena
Wavering
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika,
that
لَآ
Laaa
not
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haaaʹulaaaʹi
these
وَلَآ
wa-laaa
and not
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِۚ
haaaʹulaaaʹ.
those
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يُضۡلِلِ
yuḍlilil
has been lead astray
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(by) Allah
فَلَن
falañ
then never
تَجِدَ
tajida
you will find
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
سَبِيلٗا
Sabeelaa.
a way
١٤٣
4:144
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayoohal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe[d]
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَتَّخِذُواْ
tattakhiẓul
take
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireena
the disbelievers
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
ʹawliyaaaʹa
(as) allies
مِن
miñ
from
دُونِ
doonil
instead of
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَۚ
Muʹmineen.
the believers
أَتُرِيدُونَ
Atureedoona
Do you wish
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَجۡعَلُواْ
tajʻaloo
you make
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
for Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
against you
سُلۡطَٰنٗا
sulṭaanam
an evidence
مُّبِينًا
mubeenaa?
clear
١٤٤
4:145
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ
Munaafiq̣eena
the hypocrites
فِي
fid
(will be) in
ٱلدَّرۡكِ
darkil
the depths
ٱلۡأَسۡفَلِ
ʹasfali
the lowest
مِنَ
minan
of
ٱلنَّارِ
naar:
the Fire
وَلَن
wa-lan
and never
تَجِدَ
tajida
you will find
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
نَصِيرًا
naṣeeraa;
any helper
١٤٥
4:146
إِلَّا
ʹIllal
Except
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
تَابُواْ
taaboo
repent
وَأَصۡلَحُواْ
wa-ʹaṣlaḥoo
and correct (themselves)
وَٱعۡتَصَمُواْ
waʻtaṣamoo
and hold fast
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
to Allah
وَأَخۡلَصُواْ
wa-ʹakhlaṣoo
and are sincere
دِينَهُمۡ
deenahum
(in) their religion
لِلَّهِ
lillaahi
for Allah
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
faʹulaaaʹika
then those (will be)
مَعَ
maʻal
with
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَۖ
Muʹmineen.
the believers
وَسَوۡفَ
Wa-sawfa
And soon
يُؤۡتِ
yuʹtil
will be given
ٱللَّهُ
laahul
(by) Allah
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineena
the believers
أَجۡرًا
ʹajran
a reward
عَظِيمٗا
ʻaz̤̣eemaa.
great
١٤٦
4:147
مَّا
Maa-
What
يَفۡعَلُ
yafʻalul
would do
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
بِعَذَابِكُمۡ
biʻaẓaabikum
by punishing you
إِن
ʹiñ
if
شَكَرۡتُمۡ
shakartum
you are grateful
وَءَامَنتُمۡۚ
wa-ʹaamañtum?
and you believe
وَكَانَ
Wa-kaanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
شَاكِرًا
Shaakiran
All-Appreciative
عَلِيمٗا
ʻAleema.
All-Knowing

Laa-
(Does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
love
ٱللَّهُ
laahul
Allah
ٱلۡجَهۡرَ
jahra
the public mention
بِٱلسُّوٓءِ
bis-sooʹi
of [the] evil
مِنَ
minal
[of]
ٱلۡقَوۡلِ
q̣awli
[the] words
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَن
mañ
(by the one) who
ظُلِمَۚ
z̤̣ulim;
has been wronged
وَكَانَ
wa-kanal
And is
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
سَمِيعًا
Sameeʻan
All-Hearing
عَلِيمًا
ʻAleemaa.
All-Knowing
١٤٨
4:149
إِن
ʹIñ
If
تُبۡدُواْ
tubdoo
you disclose
خَيۡرًا
khayran
a good
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
تُخۡفُوهُ
tukhfoohu
you conceal it
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
تَعۡفُواْ
taʻfoo
pardon
عَن
ʻañ
[of]
سُوٓءٖ
soooʹiñ
an evil
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
كَانَ
kaana
is
عَفُوّٗا
ʻAfuwwañ
Oft-Pardoning
قَدِيرًا
Q̣adeeraa.
All-Powerful
١٤٩
4:150
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يَكۡفُرُونَ
yakfuroona
disbelieve
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
wa-rusulihee
and His Messengers
وَيُرِيدُونَ
wa-yureedoona
and they wish
أَن
ʹañy
that
يُفَرِّقُواْ
yufarriq̣oo
they differentiate
بَيۡنَ
baynal
between
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَرُسُلِهِۦ
wa-Rusulihee
and His Messengers
وَيَقُولُونَ
wa-yaq̣ooloona
and they say
نُؤۡمِنُ
nuʹminu
We believe
بِبَعۡضٖ
bibaʻḍiñw
in some
وَنَكۡفُرُ
wanakfuru
and we disbelieve
بِبَعۡضٖ
bibaʻḍiñw
in others
وَيُرِيدُونَ
wayureedoona
And they wish
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَتَّخِذُواْ
yattakhizoo
they take
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
سَبِيلًا
sabeelaa,
a way
