فَأَذَاقَهُمُ
fa-adhaqahumu
So Allah made them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
So Allah made them
ٱلۡخِزۡيَ
al-khiz'ya
the disgrace
فِي

ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
وَلَعَذَابُ
wala'adhabu
and certainly (the) punishment
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
(of) the Hereafter
أَكۡبَرُۚ
akbaru
(is) greater
لَوۡ
law
if
كَانُواْ
kanu
they
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
knew
٢٦
39:27
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And indeed
ضَرَبۡنَا
darabna
We have set forth
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for people
فِي
fi
in
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ
al-qur'ani
Quran
مِن
min
of
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مَثَلٖ
mathalin
example
لَّعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkaruna
take heed
٢٧
39:28
قُرۡءَانًا
qur'anan
A Quran
عَرَبِيًّا
arabiyyan
(in) Arabic
غَيۡرَ
ghayra
without
ذِي
dhi
any
عِوَجٖ
iwajin
crookedness
لَّعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَتَّقُونَ
yattaquna
(become) righteous
٢٨
39:29
ضَرَبَ
daraba
Allah sets forth
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah sets forth
مَثَلٗا
mathalan
an example
رَّجُلٗا
rajulan
a man
فِيهِ
fihi
about him
شُرَكَآءُ
shurakau
partners
مُتَشَٰكِسُونَ
mutashakisuna
quarreling
وَرَجُلٗا
warajulan
and a man
سَلَمٗا
salaman
(belonging) exclusively
لِّرَجُلٍ
lirajulin
to one man
هَلۡ
hal
are
يَسۡتَوِيَانِ
yastawiyani
they both equal
مَثَلًاۚ
mathalan
(in) comparison
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
al-hamdu
All praise
لِلَّهِۚ
lillahi
(be) to Allah
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ
aktharuhum
most of them
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
٢٩
39:30
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed you
مَيِّتٞ
mayyitun
will die
وَإِنَّهُم
wa-innahum
and indeed they
مَّيِّتُونَ
mayyituna
(will also) die
٣٠
39:31
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِنَّكُمۡ
innakum
indeed you
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
عِندَ
inda
before
رَبِّكُمۡ
rabbikum
your Lord
تَخۡتَصِمُونَ
takhtasimuna
will dispute

39:32
۞فَمَنۡ
faman
Then who
أَظۡلَمُ
azlamu
(is) more unjust
مِمَّن
mimman
than (one) who
كَذَبَ
kadhaba
lies
عَلَى
ala
against
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَكَذَّبَ
wakadhaba
and denies
بِٱلصِّدۡقِ
bil-sid'qi
the truth
إِذۡ
idh
when
جَآءَهُۥٓۚ
jaahu
it comes to him
أَلَيۡسَ
alaysa
Is (there) not
فِي
fi
in
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell
مَثۡوٗى
mathwan
an abode
لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lil'kafirina
for the disbelievers
٣٢
39:33
وَٱلَّذِي
wa-alladhi
And the one who
جَآءَ
jaa
brought
بِٱلصِّدۡقِ
bil-sid'qi
the truth
وَصَدَّقَ
wasaddaqa
and believed
بِهِۦٓ
bihi
in it
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَ
al-mutaquna
(are) the righteous
٣٣
39:34
لَهُم
lahum
For them
مَّا
ma
(is) what
يَشَآءُونَ
yashauna
they wish
عِندَ
inda
with
رَبِّهِمۡۚ
rabbihim
their Lord
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
جَزَآءُ
jazau
(is the) reward
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
al-muh'sinina
(of) the good-doers
٣٤
39:35
لِيُكَفِّرَ
liyukaffira
That Allah will remove
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
That Allah will remove
عَنۡهُمۡ
anhum
from them
أَسۡوَأَ
aswa-a
(the) worst
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(of) what
عَمِلُواْ
amilu
they did
وَيَجۡزِيَهُمۡ
wayajziyahum
and reward them
أَجۡرَهُم
ajrahum
their due
بِأَحۡسَنِ
bi-ahsani
for (the) best
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(of) what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
do
٣٥
39:36
أَلَيۡسَ
alaysa
Is not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
بِكَافٍ
bikafin
sufficient
عَبۡدَهُۥۖ
abdahu
(for) His slave
وَيُخَوِّفُونَكَ
wayukhawwifunaka
And they threaten you
بِٱلَّذِينَ
bi-alladhina
with those
مِن
min
besides Him
دُونِهِۦۚ
dunihi
besides Him
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُضۡلِلِ
yud'lili
Allah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah lets go astray
فَمَا
fama
then not
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
مِنۡ
min
any
هَادٖ
hadin
guide
٣٦
39:37
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَهۡدِ
yahdi
Allah guides
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah guides
فَمَا
fama
then not
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
مِن
min
any
مُّضِلٍّۗ
mudillin
misleader
أَلَيۡسَ
alaysa
Is not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
بِعَزِيزٖ
bi'azizin
All-Mighty
ذِي
dhi
All-Able of retribution
ٱنتِقَامٖ
intiqamin
All-Able of retribution
٣٧
39:38
وَلَئِن
wala-in
And if
سَأَلۡتَهُم
sa-altahum
you ask them
مَّنۡ
man
who
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ
wal-arda
and the earth
لَيَقُولُنَّ
layaqulunna
Surely they will say
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah
قُلۡ
qul
Say
أَفَرَءَيۡتُم
afara-aytum
Then do you see
مَّا
ma
what
تَدۡعُونَ
tad'una
you invoke
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
إِنۡ
in
if
أَرَادَنِيَ
aradaniya
Allah intended for me
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah intended for me
بِضُرٍّ
bidurrin
harm
هَلۡ
hal
are
هُنَّ
hunna
they
كَٰشِفَٰتُ
kashifatu
removers
ضُرِّهِۦٓ
durrihi
(of) harm (from) Him
أَوۡ
aw
or
أَرَادَنِي
aradani
if He intended for me
بِرَحۡمَةٍ
birahmatin
mercy
هَلۡ
hal
are
هُنَّ
hunna
they
مُمۡسِكَٰتُ
mum'sikatu
withholders
رَحۡمَتِهِۦۚ
rahmatihi
(of) His mercy
قُلۡ
qul
Say
حَسۡبِيَ
hasbiya
Sufficient (is) Allah for me
ٱللَّهُۖ
al-lahu
Sufficient (is) Allah for me
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
upon Him
يَتَوَكَّلُ
yatawakkalu
put trust
ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
al-mutawakiluna
those who trust
٣٨
39:39
قُلۡ
qul
Say
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaqawmi
O my people
ٱعۡمَلُواْ
i'malu
Work
عَلَىٰ
ala
(according) to
مَكَانَتِكُمۡ
makanatikum
your position
إِنِّي
inni
indeed I am
عَٰمِلٞۖ
amilun
working
فَسَوۡفَ
fasawfa
then soon
تَعۡلَمُونَ
ta'lamuna
you will know
٣٩
39:40
مَن
man
(Upon) whom
يَأۡتِيهِ
yatihi
will come
عَذَابٞ
adhabun
a punishment
يُخۡزِيهِ
yukh'zihi
disgracing him
وَيَحِلُّ
wayahillu
and descends
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
on him
عَذَابٞ
adhabun
a punishment
مُّقِيمٌ
muqimun
everlasting

39:41
إِنَّآ
inna
Indeed We
أَنزَلۡنَا
anzalna
We revealed
عَلَيۡكَ
alayka
to you
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for [the] mankind
بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ
bil-haqi
in truth
فَمَنِ
famani
So whoever
ٱهۡتَدَىٰ
ih'tada
accepts guidance
فَلِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ
falinafsihi
then (it is) for his soul
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
ضَلَّ
dalla
goes astray
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
يَضِلُّ
yadillu
he strays
عَلَيۡهَاۖ
alayha
against his (soul)
وَمَآ
wama
And not
أَنتَ
anta
you
عَلَيۡهِم
alayhim
(are) over them
بِوَكِيلٍ
biwakilin
a manager
٤١
39:42
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
يَتَوَفَّى
yatawaffa
takes
ٱلۡأَنفُسَ
al-anfusa
the souls
حِينَ
hina
(at the) time
مَوۡتِهَا
mawtiha
(of) their death
وَٱلَّتِي
wa-allati
and the one who
لَمۡ
lam
(does) not
تَمُتۡ
tamut
die
فِي
fi
in
مَنَامِهَاۖ
manamiha
their sleep
فَيُمۡسِكُ
fayum'siku
Then He keeps
ٱلَّتِي
allati
the one whom
قَضَىٰ
qada
He has decreed
عَلَيۡهَا
alayha
for them
ٱلۡمَوۡتَ
al-mawta
the death
وَيُرۡسِلُ
wayur'silu
and sends
ٱلۡأُخۡرَىٰٓ
al-ukh'ra
the others
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
for
أَجَلٖ
ajalin
a term
مُّسَمًّىۚ
musamman
specified
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
فِي
fi
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
that
لَأٓيَٰتٖ
laayatin
surely (are) signs
لِّقَوۡمٖ
liqawmin
for a people
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
yatafakkaruna
who ponder
٤٢
39:43
أَمِ
ami
Or
ٱتَّخَذُواْ
ittakhadhu
have they taken
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
شُفَعَآءَۚ
shufa'aa
intercessors
قُلۡ
qul
Say
أَوَلَوۡ
awalaw
Even though
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were
لَا
la
not
يَمۡلِكُونَ
yamlikuna
possessing
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayan
anything
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَعۡقِلُونَ
ya'qiluna
they understand
٤٣
39:44
قُل
qul
Say
لِّلَّهِ
lillahi
To Allah (belongs)
ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُ
al-shafa'atu
the intercession
جَمِيعٗاۖ
jami'an
all
لَّهُۥ
lahu
For Him
مُلۡكُ
mul'ku
(is the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
wal-ardi
and the earth
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
to Him
تُرۡجَعُونَ
tur'ja'una
you will be returned
٤٤
39:45
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
ذُكِرَ
dhukira
Allah is mentioned
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah is mentioned
وَحۡدَهُ
wahdahu
Alone
ٱشۡمَأَزَّتۡ
ish'ma-azzat
shrink with aversion
قُلُوبُ
qulubu
(the) hearts
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
لَا
la
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
believe
بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۖ
bil-akhirati
in the Hereafter
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
and when
ذُكِرَ
dhukira
are mentioned
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those
مِن
min
besides Him
دُونِهِۦٓ
dunihi
besides Him
إِذَا
idha
behold
هُمۡ
hum
They
يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ
yastabshiruna
rejoice
٤٥
39:46
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱللَّهُمَّ
al-lahuma
O Allah
فَاطِرَ
fatira
Creator
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ardi
and the earth
عَٰلِمَ
alima
Knower
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
al-ghaybi
(of) the unseen
وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ
wal-shahadati
and the witnessed
أَنتَ
anta
You
تَحۡكُمُ
tahkumu
will judge
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
عِبَادِكَ
ibadika
Your slaves
فِي
fi
in
مَا
ma
what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
فِيهِ
fihi
therein
يَخۡتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifuna
differ
٤٦
39:47
وَلَوۡ
walaw
And if
أَنَّ
anna
And if
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
zalamu
did wrong
مَا
ma
(had) whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
جَمِيعٗا
jami'an
all
وَمِثۡلَهُۥ
wamith'lahu
and (the) like of it
مَعَهُۥ
ma'ahu
with it
لَٱفۡتَدَوۡاْ
la-if'tadaw
they would ransom
بِهِۦ
bihi
with it
مِن
min
from
سُوٓءِ
sui
(the) evil
ٱلۡعَذَابِ
al-'adhabi
(of) the punishment
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
وَبَدَا
wabada
And (will) appear
لَهُم
lahum
to them
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مَا
ma
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَكُونُواْ
yakunu
they had
يَحۡتَسِبُونَ
yahtasibuna
taken into account

وَبَدَا
wabada
And will become apparent
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
سَيِّـَٔاتُ
sayyiatu
(the) evils
مَا
ma
(of) what
كَسَبُواْ
kasabu
they earned
وَحَاقَ
wahaqa
and will surround
بِهِم
bihim
them
مَّا
ma
what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
بِهِۦ
bihi
[in it]
يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
yastahziuna
mock
٤٨
39:49
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
So when
مَسَّ
massa
touches
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
al-insana
[the] man
ضُرّٞ
durrun
adversity
دَعَانَا
da'ana
he calls upon Us
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
إِذَا
idha
when
خَوَّلۡنَٰهُ
khawwalnahu
We bestow (on) him
نِعۡمَةٗ
ni'matan
a favor
مِّنَّا
minna
from Us
قَالَ
qala
he says
إِنَّمَآ
innama
Only
أُوتِيتُهُۥ
utituhu
I have been given it
عَلَىٰ
ala
for
عِلۡمِۭۚ
il'min
knowledge
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
هِيَ
hiya
it
فِتۡنَةٞ
fit'natun
(is) a trial
وَلَٰكِنَّ
walakinna
but
أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ
aktharahum
most of them
لَا
la
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
٤٩
39:50
قَدۡ
qad
Indeed
قَالَهَا
qalaha
said it
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those
مِن
min
before them
قَبۡلِهِمۡ
qablihim
before them
فَمَآ
fama
but (did) not
أَغۡنَىٰ
aghna
avail
عَنۡهُم
anhum
them
مَّا
ma
what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَكۡسِبُونَ
yaksibuna
earn
