36:5تَنزِيلَTañzeelalA revelationٱلۡعَزِيزِʻAzeezir(of) the All-MightyٱلرَّحِيمِRaḥeem,the Most Merciful٥
36:6لِتُنذِرَLituñẓiraThat you may warnقَوۡمٗاq̣awmama peopleمَّآmaaanotأُنذِرَʹuñẓirawere warnedءَابَآؤُهُمۡʹaabaaaʹuhumtheir forefathersفَهُمۡfahumso theyغَٰفِلُونَg̣aafiloon.(are) heedless٦
36:7لَقَدۡLaq̣adCertainlyحَقَّḥaq̣q̣al(has) proved trueٱلۡقَوۡلُQ̣awluthe wordعَلَىٰٓʻalaaauponأَكۡثَرِهِمۡʹaks̤arihimmost of themفَهُمۡfahumso theyلَاlaa-(do) notيُؤۡمِنُونَyuʹminoon.believe٧
36:8إِنَّاʹInnaaIndeed Weجَعَلۡنَاjaʻalnaa[We] have placedفِيٓfeeeonأَعۡنَٰقِهِمۡʹaʻnaaq̣ihimtheir necksأَغۡلَٰلٗاʹag̣laalañiron collarsفَهِيَfahiyaand theyإِلَىʹilal(are up) toٱلۡأَذۡقَانِʹaẓq̣aanithe chinsفَهُمfahumso theyمُّقۡمَحُونَmuq̣maḥoon.(are with) heads raised up٨
36:9وَجَعَلۡنَاWa-jaʻalnaaAnd We have madeمِنۢmimfromبَيۡنِbaynibefore/betweenأَيۡدِيهِمۡʹaydeehimtheir hands/their frontسَدّٗاsaddañwa barrierوَمِنۡwaminand fromخَلۡفِهِمۡkhalfihimbehind themسَدّٗاsaddaña barrierفَأَغۡشَيۡنَٰهُمۡfaʹag̣shaynaahumand We covered themفَهُمۡfahumso theyلَاlaa-(do) notيُبۡصِرُونَyubṣiroon.see٩
36:10وَسَوَآءٌWa-sawaaaʹunAnd it (is) sameعَلَيۡهِمۡʻalayhimto themءَأَنذَرۡتَهُمۡʹaʹañẓartahumwhether you warn themأَمۡʹamorلَمۡlam(do) notتُنذِرۡهُمۡtuñẓirhumwarn themلَاlaa-notيُؤۡمِنُونَyuʹminoon.they will believe١٠
36:11إِنَّمَاʹInnamaaOnlyتُنذِرُtuñẓiruyou (can) warnمَنِmanit(him) whoٱتَّبَعَtabafollowsٱلذِّكۡرَʻaẓ-Ẓikrathe Reminderوَخَشِيَwa-khashiyarand fearsٱلرَّحۡمَٰنَRaḥmaanathe Most Graciousبِٱلۡغَيۡبِۖbilg̣ayb:in the unseenفَبَشِّرۡهُfabashshirhuSo give him glad tidingsبِمَغۡفِرَةٖbi-Mag̣firatiñwof forgivenessوَأَجۡرٖwaʹAjriñand a rewardكَرِيمٍKareem.noble١١
36:12إِنَّاʹInnaaIndeed WeنَحۡنُNaḥnu[We]نُحۡيِnuḥyil[We] give lifeٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰmawtaa(to) the deadوَنَكۡتُبُwanaktubuand We recordمَاmaa-whatقَدَّمُواْq̣addamoothey have sent beforeوَءَاثَٰرَهُمۡۚwa-ʹaas̤aarahum:and their footprintsوَكُلَّwa-kullaand everyشَيۡءٍshayʹinthingأَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُʹaḥṣaynaahuWe have enumerated itفِيٓfeeeinإِمَامٖʹImaamima Registerمُّبِينٖmubeen.clear١٢
36:13وَٱضۡرِبۡWaḍribAnd set forthلَهُمlahumto themمَّثَلًاmas̤alanan exampleأَصۡحَٰبَʹAṣḥaabal(of the) companionsٱلۡقَرۡيَةِQ̣aryah.(of) the cityإِذۡʹIẓwhenجَآءَهَاjaaaʹahalcame to itٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَmursaloon.the Messengers١٣
36:14إِذۡʹIẓWhenأَرۡسَلۡنَآʹarsalnaaaWe sentإِلَيۡهِمُʹilayhimus̤to themٱثۡنَيۡنِnaynitwo (Messengers)فَكَذَّبُوهُمَاfakaẓẓaboohumaabut they denied both of themفَعَزَّزۡنَاfaʻazzaznaaso We strengthened themبِثَالِثٖbis̤aalis̤iñwith a thirdفَقَالُوٓاْfaq̣aaloooand they saidإِنَّآʹinnaaaIndeed Weإِلَيۡكُمʹilaykumto youمُّرۡسَلُونَmursaloon.(are) Messengers١٤
36:15قَالُواْQ̣aalooThey saidمَآmaaaNotأَنتُمۡʹañtumyouإِلَّاʹillaa(are) butبَشَرٞbasharumhuman beingsمِّثۡلُنَاmis̤lunaalike usوَمَآwa-maaaand notأَنزَلَʹañzalarhas revealedٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُRaḥmaanuthe Most GraciousمِنmiñanyشَيۡءٍshayʹinthingإِنۡʹinNotأَنتُمۡʹañtumyouإِلَّاʹillaa(are) butتَكۡذِبُونَtakẓiboon.lying١٥
36:16قَالُواْQ̣aalooThey saidرَبُّنَاRabbunaaOur Lordيَعۡلَمُyaʻlamuknowsإِنَّآʹinnaaathat weإِلَيۡكُمۡʹilaykumto youلَمُرۡسَلُونَlamursaloon:(are) surely Messengers١٦
36:17وَمَاWa-maaAnd notعَلَيۡنَآʻalaynaaa(is) on usإِلَّاʹillalexceptٱلۡبَلَٰغُBalaag̣ulthe conveyanceٱلۡمُبِينُmubeen.clear١٧
36:18قَالُوٓاْQ̣aaloooThey saidإِنَّاʹinnaaIndeed weتَطَيَّرۡنَاtaṭayyarnaa[we] see an evil omenبِكُمۡۖbikum:from youلَئِنlaʹilIfلَّمۡlamnotتَنتَهُواْtañtahooyou desistلَنَرۡجُمَنَّكُمۡlanarjumannakumsurely we will stone youوَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُمwa-la-yamassan-nakumand surely will touch youمِّنَّاminnaafrom usعَذَابٌʻaẓaabuna punishmentأَلِيمٞʹaleem.painful١٨
36:19قَالُواْQ̣aalooThey saidطَٰٓئِرُكُمṭaaaʹirukumYour evil omenمَّعَكُمۡmaʻakum:(be) with youأَئِنʹaʹiñIs it becauseذُكِّرۡتُمۚẓukkirtum?you are admonishedبَلۡBalNayأَنتُمۡʹañtumyouقَوۡمٞq̣awmum(are) a peopleمُّسۡرِفُونَmusrifoon!transgressing١٩
36:20وَجَآءَWa-jaaaʹaAnd cameمِنۡminfromأَقۡصَاʹaq̣ṣal(the) farthest endٱلۡمَدِينَةِMadeenati(of) the cityرَجُلٞrajuluñya manيَسۡعَىٰyasʻaarunningقَالَq̣aalaHe saidيَٰقَوۡمِyaa-q̣awmitO my PeopleٱتَّبِعُواْtabiʻulFollowٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَmursaleen:the Messengers٢٠
36:21ٱتَّبِعُواْʹIttabiʻooFollowمَنmal(those) whoلَّاlaa(do) notيَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡyasʹalukumask (of) youأَجۡرٗاʹajrañwany paymentوَهُمWahumand theyمُّهۡتَدُونَmuhtadoon.(are) rightly guided٢١
36:22وَمَاWa-maaAnd whatلِيَliya(is) for meلَآlaaa(that) notأَعۡبُدُʹaʻbudulI worshipٱلَّذِيlaẓeethe One Whoفَطَرَنِيfaṭaraneecreated meوَإِلَيۡهِwa-ʹilayhiand to Whomتُرۡجَعُونَturjaʻoon.you will be returned٢٢
36:23ءَأَتَّخِذُʹA-ʹattakhiẓuShould I takeمِنmiñbesides Himدُونِهِۦٓdooniheeebesides HimءَالِهَةًʹaalihatangodsإِنʹiñyIfيُرِدۡنِyuridnirintends for meٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُRaḥmaanuthe Most Graciousبِضُرّٖbiḍurrilany harmلَّاlaanotتُغۡنِtug̣niwill availعَنِّيʻannee[from] meشَفَٰعَتُهُمۡshafaaʻatuhumtheir intercessionشَيۡـٔٗاshayʹañw(in) anythingوَلَاwalaaand notيُنقِذُونِyuñq̣iẓoon.they (can) save me٢٣
36:24إِنِّيٓʹInneeeIndeed Iإِذٗاʹiẓalthenلَّفِيlafeesurely would be inضَلَٰلٖḌalaaliman errorمُّبِينٍmubeen.clear٢٤
36:25إِنِّيٓʹInneeeIndeed Iءَامَنتُʹaamañtu[I] have believedبِرَبِّكُمۡbi-Rabbikumin your Lordفَٱسۡمَعُونِfasmaʻoon!so listen to me٢٥
