35:26ثُمَّS̤ummaThenأَخَذۡتُʹakhaẓtulI seizedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoكَفَرُواْۖkafaroodisbelievedفَكَيۡفَfakayfaand howكَانَkaanawasنَكِيرِnakeer.My rejection٢٦
35:27أَلَمۡʹAlamDo notتَرَtarayou seeأَنَّʹannalthatٱللَّهَlaahaAllahأَنزَلَʹañzalasends downمِنَminasfromٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe skyمَآءٗmaaaʹaa?waterفَأَخۡرَجۡنَاFaʹakhrajnaathen We bring forthبِهِۦbiheetherewithثَمَرَٰتٖs̤amaraatimfruitsمُّخۡتَلِفًاmukhtalifan(of) variousأَلۡوَٰنُهَاۚʹalwaanuhaa.[their] colorsوَمِنَWa-minalAnd inٱلۡجِبَالِjibaalithe mountainsجُدَدُۢjudadum(are) tractsبِيضٞbeeḍuñwwhiteوَحُمۡرٞwaḥumrumand redمُّخۡتَلِفٌmukhtalifun(of) variousأَلۡوَٰنُهَاʹalwaanuhaa[their] colorsوَغَرَابِيبُwa-g̣araabeebuand intensely blackسُودٞsood.and intensely black٢٧
35:28وَمِنَWa-minanAnd amongٱلنَّاسِnaasimenوَٱلدَّوَآبِّwaddawaaabbiand moving creaturesوَٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِwal-ʹanʻaamiand the cattleمُخۡتَلِفٌmukhtalifun(are) variousأَلۡوَٰنُهُۥʹalwaanuhoo[their] colorsكَذَٰلِكَۗkaẓaalik.likewiseإِنَّمَاʹInnamaaOnlyيَخۡشَىyakhshalfearٱللَّهَlaahaAllahمِنۡminamongعِبَادِهِʻIbaadihilHis slavesٱلۡعُلَمَٰٓؤُاْۗʻulamaaaʹ:those who have knowledgeإِنَّʹinnalIndeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahعَزِيزٌʻAzeezun(is) All-MightyغَفُورٌG̣afoor.Oft-Forgiving٢٨
35:29إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoيَتۡلُونَyatloonareciteكِتَٰبَKitaabal(the) Bookٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahوَأَقَامُواْwa-ʹaq̣aamuṣand establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَṢalaatathe prayerوَأَنفَقُواْwa-ʹañfaq̣ooand spendمِمَّاmimmaaout of whatرَزَقۡنَٰهُمۡrazaq̣naahumWe have provided themسِرّٗاsirrañwsecretlyوَعَلَانِيَةٗwaʻalaaniyatañyand openlyيَرۡجُونَyarjoonahopeتِجَٰرَةٗTijaaratal(for) a commerce لَّنlañneverتَبُورَtaboor:it will perish٢٩
35:30لِيُوَفِّيَهُمۡLiyuwaffiyahumThat He may give them in fullأُجُورَهُمۡʹujoorahumtheir rewardsوَيَزِيدَهُمwa-yazeedahumand increase for themمِّنmiñofفَضۡلِهِۦٓۚFaḍlih:His BountyإِنَّهُۥʹinnahooIndeed HeغَفُورٞG̣afooruñ(is) Oft-ForgivingشَكُورٞShakoor.Most Appreciative٣٠
35:31وَٱلَّذِيٓWallaẓeeeAnd (that) whichأَوۡحَيۡنَآʹawḥaynaaaWe have revealedإِلَيۡكَʹilaykato youمِنَminalofٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabithe BookهُوَhuwalitٱلۡحَقُّḤaq̣q̣u(is) the truthمُصَدِّقٗاmuṣaddiq̣alconfirmingلِّمَاlimaawhat (was)بَيۡنَbaynabefore itيَدَيۡهِۗyadayh:before itإِنَّʹinnalIndeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahبِعِبَادِهِۦbiʻIbaadiheeof His slavesلَخَبِيرُۢla-Khabeerumsurely (is) All-AwareبَصِيرٞBaṣeer.All-Seer٣١
35:32ثُمَّS̤ummaThenأَوۡرَثۡنَاʹawras̤nalWe caused to inheritٱلۡكِتَٰبَKitaabalthe Bookٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenaṣthose whomٱصۡطَفَيۡنَاṭafaynaaWe have chosenمِنۡminofعِبَادِنَاۖʻibaadinaa:Our slavesفَمِنۡهُمۡfaminhumand among themظَالِمٞz̤̣aalimul(is he) who wrongsلِّنَفۡسِهِۦlinafsih;himselfوَمِنۡهُمwa-minhumand among themمُّقۡتَصِدٞmuq̣taṣid;(is he who is) moderateوَمِنۡهُمۡwa-minhumand among themسَابِقُۢsaabiq̣um(is he who is) foremostبِٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِbilkhayraatiin good deedsبِإِذۡنِbiʹiẓnilby permissionٱللَّهِۚlaah;(of) AllahذَٰلِكَẓaalikaThatهُوَhuwalisٱلۡفَضۡلُFaḍlulthe BountyٱلۡكَبِيرُKabeer.the great٣٢
35:33جَنَّٰتُJannaatuGardensعَدۡنٖʻAdniñy(of) Eternityيَدۡخُلُونَهَاyad-khuloonahaathey will enter themيُحَلَّوۡنَyuḥallawnaThey will be adornedفِيهَاfeehaathereinمِنۡminwithأَسَاوِرَʹasaawirabraceletsمِنmiñofذَهَبٖẓahabiñwgoldوَلُؤۡلُؤٗاۖwaluʹluʹaa;and pearlsوَلِبَاسُهُمۡwa-libaa-suhumand their garmentsفِيهَاfeehaathereinحَرِيرٞḥareer.(will be of) silk٣٣
35:34وَقَالُواْWa-q̣aalulAnd they (will) sayٱلۡحَمۡدُḤamduAll praisesلِلَّهِlillaahil(be) to Allahٱلَّذِيٓlaẓeeethe One Whoأَذۡهَبَʹaẓhaba(has) removedعَنَّاʻannalfrom usٱلۡحَزَنَۖḥazan:the sorrowإِنَّʹinnaIndeedرَبَّنَاRabbanaaour Lordلَغَفُورٞla-G̣afooruñ(is) surely Oft-ForgivingشَكُورٌShakoor:Most Appreciative٣٤
35:35ٱلَّذِيٓʹAllaẓeeeThe One Whoأَحَلَّنَاʹaḥallanaahas settled usدَارَDaaral(in) a Homeٱلۡمُقَامَةِmuq̣aamati(of) Eternityمِنmiñ(out) ofفَضۡلِهِۦFaḍlih:His Bountyلَاlaa-Notيَمَسُّنَاyamassunaatouches usفِيهَاfeehaathereinنَصَبٞnaṣabuñwany fatigueوَلَاwalaaand notيَمَسُّنَاyamassunaatouchesفِيهَاfeehaathereinلُغُوبٞlug̣oob.weariness٣٥
35:36وَٱلَّذِينَWallaẓeenaAnd those whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelieveلَهُمۡlahumfor themنَارُNaaru(will be the) FireجَهَنَّمَJahannam;(of) Hellلَاlaa-Notيُقۡضَىٰyuq̣ḍaais decreedعَلَيۡهِمۡʻalayhimfor themفَيَمُوتُواْfayamootoothat they dieوَلَاwa-laaand notيُخَفَّفُyukhaffafuwill be lightenedعَنۡهُمʻanhumfor themمِّنۡminofعَذَابِهَاۚʻAẓaabihaa.its tormentكَذَٰلِكَKaẓaalikaThusنَجۡزِيnajzeeWe recompenseكُلَّkullaeveryكَفُورٖkafoor!ungrateful one٣٦
35:37وَهُمۡWa-humAnd theyيَصۡطَرِخُونَyaṣṭarikhoonawill cryفِيهَاfeehaa:thereinرَبَّنَآRabbanaaaOur LordأَخۡرِجۡنَاʹakhrijnaaBring us outنَعۡمَلۡnaʻmalwe will doصَٰلِحًاṣaaliḥanrighteous (deeds)غَيۡرَg̣ayralother thanٱلَّذِيlaẓee(that) whichكُنَّاkunnaawe usedنَعۡمَلُۚnaʻmal!(to) doأَوَلَمۡʹA-walamnuDid notنُعَمِّرۡكُمʻammirkumWe give you life long enoughمَّاmaathatيَتَذَكَّرُyataẓakkaru(would) receive admonitionفِيهِfeehithereinمَنmañwhoeverتَذَكَّرَtaẓakkarareceives admonitionوَجَآءَكُمُwa-jaaaʹakumunAnd came to youٱلنَّذِيرُۖnaẓeer.the warnerفَذُوقُواْFaẓooq̣ooSo tasteفَمَاfamaathen notلِلظَّٰلِمِينَliz̤̣z̤̣aalimeena(is) for the wrongdoersمِنminanyنَّصِيرٍnaṣeer.helper٣٧
35:38إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahعَٰلِمُʻAalimu(is the) Knowerغَيۡبِg̣aybis(of the) unseenٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaati(of) the heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚwal-ʹard:and the earthإِنَّهُۥʹInnahooIndeed HeعَلِيمُۢʻAleemum(is the) All-Knowerبِذَاتِbiẓaatiṣof what (is) in the breastsٱلصُّدُورِṣudoor.of what (is) in the breasts٣٨
35:39هُوَHuwalHeٱلَّذِيlaẓee(is) the One Whoجَعَلَكُمۡjaʻalakummade youخَلَٰٓئِفَkhalaaaʹifasuccessorsفِيfilinٱلۡأَرۡضِۚʹarḍ:the earthفَمَنfamañAnd whoeverكَفَرَkafaradisbelievesفَعَلَيۡهِfaʻalayhithen upon himكُفۡرُهُۥۖkufruh:(is) his disbeliefوَلَاwa-laaAnd notيَزِيدُyazeedulincreaseٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَkaafireenathe disbelieversكُفۡرُهُمۡkufruhumtheir disbeliefعِندَʻiñdanearرَبِّهِمۡRabbihimtheir Lordإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمَقۡتٗاۖmaq̣taa:(in) hatredوَلَاwa-laaand notيَزِيدُyazeedulincreaseٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَkaafireenathe disbelieversكُفۡرُهُمۡkufruhumtheir disbeliefإِلَّاʹillaaexceptخَسَارٗاkhasaaraa.(in) loss٣٩
35:40قُلۡQ̣ulSayأَرَءَيۡتُمۡʹaraʹaytumHave you seenشُرَكَآءَكُمُshurakaaaʹakumulyour partnersٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whomتَدۡعُونَtadʻoonayou callمِنmiñbesidesدُونِdoonilbesidesٱللَّهِlaah?AllahأَرُونِيʹArooneeShow Meمَاذَاmaaẓaawhatخَلَقُواْkhalaq̣oothey have createdمِنَminalfromٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe earthأَمۡʹamorلَهُمۡlahumfor themشِرۡكٞshirkuñ(is) a shareفِيfisinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaat?the heavensأَمۡʹAmOrءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡʹaataynaahumhave We given themكِتَٰبٗاKitaabaña Bookفَهُمۡfahumso theyعَلَىٰʻalaa(are) onبَيِّنَتٖBayyinatima clear proofمِّنۡهُۚminh?―therefromبَلۡBalNayإِنʹiñynotيَعِدُyaʻiduz̤̣promiseٱلظَّٰلِمُونَz̤̣aalimoonathe wrongdoersبَعۡضُهُمbaʻḍuhum̃some of themبَعۡضًاbaʻḍan(to) othersإِلَّاʹillaaexceptغُرُورًاg̣urooraa.delusion٤٠
35:41۞إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahيُمۡسِكُyumsikusupholdsٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضَwal-ʹarḍaand the earthأَنʹañlestتَزُولَاۚtazoolaa:they ceaseوَلَئِنwa-laʹiñAnd ifزَالَتَآzaalataaathey should ceaseإِنۡʹinnotأَمۡسَكَهُمَاʹamsakahumaacan uphold themمِنۡminanyأَحَدٖʹaḥadimoneمِّنۢmimafter Himبَعۡدِهِۦٓۚbaʻdih:after HimإِنَّهُۥʹinnahooIndeed HeكَانَkaanaisحَلِيمًاḤaleemanMost ForbearingغَفُورٗاG̣afooraa!Oft-Forgiving٤١
35:42وَأَقۡسَمُواْWa-ʹaq̣samooAnd they sworeبِٱللَّهِbillaahiby Allahجَهۡدَjahda(the) strongestأَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡʹaymaanihim(of) their oathsلَئِنlaʹiñthat ifجَآءَهُمۡjaaaʹahumcame to themنَذِيرٞnaẓeerula warnerلَّيَكُونُنَّlayakoonunnasurely they would beأَهۡدَىٰʹahdaamore guidedمِنۡminthanإِحۡدَىʹiḥdalanyٱلۡأُمَمِۖʹUmami(of) the nationsفَلَمَّاfalammaaBut whenجَآءَهُمۡjaaaʹahumcame to themنَذِيرٞnaẓeeruma warnerمَّاmaanotزَادَهُمۡzaadahumit increased themإِلَّاʹillaabutنُفُورًاnufooraa,―(in) aversion٤٢
35:43ٱسۡتِكۡبَارٗاʹIstikbaarañ(Due to) arroganceفِيfilinٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe landوَمَكۡرَwa-makrasand plottingٱلسَّيِّيِٕۚSayyiʹ.(of) the evilوَلَاWa-laabut notيَحِيقُyaḥeeq̣ulencompassesٱلۡمَكۡرُmakrusthe plotٱلسَّيِّئُSayyiʹu(of) the evilإِلَّاʹillaaexceptبِأَهۡلِهِۦۚbiʹahlih.its own peopleفَهَلۡFahalThen doيَنظُرُونَyañz̤̣uroonathey waitإِلَّاʹillaaexceptسُنَّتَsunnatal(the) wayٱلۡأَوَّلِينَۚʹawwaleen?(of) the former (people)فَلَنFalañBut neverتَجِدَtajidayou will findلِسُنَّتِli-Sunnatilin (the) wayٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahتَبۡدِيلٗاۖtabdeelaa:any changeوَلَنwa-lañand neverتَجِدَtajidayou will findلِسُنَّتِli-Sunnatilin (the) wayٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahتَحۡوِيلًاtaḥweelaa.any alteration٤٣
35:44أَوَلَمۡʹAwalamHave they notيَسِيرُواْyaseerootraveledفِيfilinٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍithe landفَيَنظُرُواْfayañz̤̣urooand seenكَيۡفَkayfahowكَانَkaanawasعَٰقِبَةُʻAaq̣ibatul(the) endٱلَّذِينَlaẓeena(of) those whoمِنmiñ(were) before themقَبۡلِهِمۡq̣ablihim(were) before themوَكَانُوٓاْwa-kaanoooAnd they wereأَشَدَّʹashaddastrongerمِنۡهُمۡminhumthan themقُوَّةٗۚq̣uwwah?(in) powerوَمَاWa-maaBut notكَانَkaanalisٱللَّهُlaahuAllahلِيُعۡجِزَهُۥliyuʻjizahoothat can escape (from) Himمِنmiñanyشَيۡءٖshayʹiñthingفِيfisinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَلَاwa-laaand notفِيfilinٱلۡأَرۡضِۚʹarḍ:the earthإِنَّهُۥʹinnahooIndeed HeكَانَkaanaisعَلِيمٗاʻAleemañAll-KnowerقَدِيرٗاQ̣adeeraa.All-Powerful٤٤
35:45وَلَوۡWa-lawAnd ifيُؤَاخِذُyuʹaakhiẓulAllah (were to) punishٱللَّهُlaahunAllah (were to) punishٱلنَّاسَnaasathe peopleبِمَاbimaafor whatكَسَبُواْkasaboothey have earnedمَاmaa-notتَرَكَtarakaHe would leaveعَلَىٰʻalaaonظَهۡرِهَاz̤̣ahrihaaits backمِنmiñanyدَآبَّةٖdaaabbatiñwcreatureوَلَٰكِنwalaakiñyButيُؤَخِّرُهُمۡyuʹakhkhiruhumHe gives them respiteإِلَىٰٓʹilaaatillأَجَلٖʹajalima termمُّسَمّٗىۖmusammaa:appointedفَإِذَاFaʹiẓaaAnd whenجَآءَjaaaʹacomesأَجَلُهُمۡʹAjaluhumtheir termفَإِنَّfaʹinnalthen indeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahكَانَkaanaisبِعِبَادِهِۦbiʻibaadiheeof His slavesبَصِيرَۢاBaṣeeraa.All-Seer٤٥
