3:51إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahرَبِّيRabbee(is) my Lordوَرَبُّكُمۡwa-Rabbukumand your Lordفَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚfaʻbudooh.so worship HimهَٰذَاHaaẓaaThisصِرَٰطٞṢiraṭum(is) the pathمُّسۡتَقِيمٞmustaq̣eem.straight٥١
3:52۞فَلَمَّآFa-lammaaaThen whenأَحَسَّʹaḥassaperceivedعِيسَىٰʻEesaaIsaمِنۡهُمُmin-humulfrom themٱلۡكُفۡرَKufra[the] disbeliefقَالَq̣aalahe saidمَنۡmanWhoأَنصَارِيٓʹAñṣaareee(will be) my helpersإِلَىʹilaltoٱللَّهِۖlaah?AllahقَالَQ̣aalalSaidٱلۡحَوَارِيُّونَḤawaariyyoonathe disciplesنَحۡنُnaḥnuWeأَنصَارُʹAñṣaarul(will be the) helpersٱللَّهِlaah:(of) Allahءَامَنَّاʹaamannaawe believe[d]بِٱللَّهِbillaahiin Allahوَٱشۡهَدۡwashhadand bear witnessبِأَنَّاbiʹannaathat weمُسۡلِمُونَMuslimoon.(are) Muslims٥٢
3:53رَبَّنَآRabbanaaaOur Lordءَامَنَّاʹaamannaawe believe[d]بِمَآbimaaain whatأَنزَلۡتَʹañzaltaYou revealedوَٱتَّبَعۡنَاwattabaʻnarand we follow[ed]ٱلرَّسُولَRasoolathe Messengerفَٱكۡتُبۡنَاfaktubnaathen write usمَعَmaʻashamongٱلشَّٰهِدِينَShaahideen.the witnesses٥٣
3:54وَمَكَرُواْWa-makrooAnd they schemedوَمَكَرَwa-makraland plannedٱللَّهُۖlaah:AllahوَٱللَّهُwallaahuAnd AllahخَيۡرُKhayrul(is the) bestٱلۡمَٰكِرِينَmaakireen.(of) the planners٥٤
3:55إِذۡʹIẓWhenقَالَq̣aalalsaidٱللَّهُlaahuAllahيَٰعِيسَىٰٓyaa-ʻEesaaaO IsaإِنِّيʹinneeIndeed Iمُتَوَفِّيكَmutawaffika(will) take youوَرَافِعُكَwa-raafiʻukaand raise youإِلَيَّʹilayyato Myselfوَمُطَهِّرُكَwa-muṭah-hirukaand purify youمِنَminalfromٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelieve[d]وَجَاعِلُwa-jaaʻiluland I will makeٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenatthose whoٱتَّبَعُوكَtaabaʻookafollow[ed] youفَوۡقَfawq̣alsuperiorٱلَّذِينَlaẓeena(to) those whoكَفَرُوٓاْkafarooodisbelieve[d]إِلَىٰʹilaonيَوۡمِYawmil(the) DayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۖQ̣iyaamah.(of) [the] ResurrectionثُمَّS̤ummaThenإِلَيَّʹilayyato Meمَرۡجِعُكُمۡmarjiʻukum(is) your returnفَأَحۡكُمُfaʹaḥkumuand I will judgeبَيۡنَكُمۡbaynakumbetween youفِيمَاfeemaaabout whatكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou wereفِيهِfeehi[in it]تَخۡتَلِفُونَtakhtalifoon.differing٥٥
3:56فَأَمَّاFaʹammalThen as forٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelieve[d]فَأُعَذِّبُهُمۡfaʹuʻaẓẓibuhumthen I will punish themعَذَابٗاʻaẓaabañ(with) a punishmentشَدِيدٗاshadeedañsevereفِيfidinٱلدُّنۡيَاdunyaathe worldوَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِwal-ʹAa and (in) the Hereafterوَمَاwa-maaAnd notلَهُمlahumfor themمِّنminanyنَّٰصِرِينَnaaṣireen.helpers٥٦
3:57وَأَمَّاWaʹammalAnd as forٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoءَامَنُواْʹaamanoobelieve[d]وَعَمِلُواْwaʻamiluṣand didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِṣaaliḥaati[the] righteous deedsفَيُوَفِّيهِمۡfayu then He will grant them in fullأُجُورَهُمۡۗʹujoorahum:their rewardوَٱللَّهُwallaahuAnd Allahلَاlaa-(does) notيُحِبُّyuḥibbuz̤̣loveٱلظَّٰلِمِينَz̤̣aalimeen.the wrongdoers٥٧
3:58ذَٰلِكَẒaalikaThatنَتۡلُوهُnatloohu(is what) We recite [it]عَلَيۡكَʻalaykato youمِنَminalofٱلۡأٓيَٰتِʹAayaatithe Versesوَٱلذِّكۡرِwaẓ-Ẓikriland the Reminder ٱلۡحَكِيمِḤakeem.[the] Wise٥٨
3:59إِنَّʹInnaIndeedمَثَلَmas̤ala(the) likenessعِيسَىٰʻEesaa(of) IsaعِندَʻiñdalnearٱللَّهِlaahiAllahكَمَثَلِkamas̤ali(is) like (the) likenessءَادَمَۖʹAadam;(of) Adamخَلَقَهُۥkhalaq̣ahooHe created himمِنmiñfromتُرَابٖturaabiñdustثُمَّs̤ummathenقَالَq̣aalaHe saidلَهُۥlahooto himكُنʻKUÑʹBeفَيَكُونُfayakoon.and he was٥٩
3:60ٱلۡحَقُّʹAl-Ḥaq̣q̣uThe truthمِنmir(is) fromرَّبِّكَRabbikayour Lordفَلَاfalaaso (do) notتَكُنtakunbeمِّنَminalamongٱلۡمُمۡتَرِينَmumtareen.the doubters٦٠
3:61فَمَنۡFamanThen whoeverحَآجَّكَḥaajjakaargues (with) youفِيهِfeehiconcerning itمِنۢmimfromبَعۡدِbaʻdiafterمَاmaa-whatجَآءَكَjaaaʹakacame to youمِنَminalofٱلۡعِلۡمِʻilmithe knowledgeفَقُلۡfaq̣ulthen sayتَعَالَوۡاْtaʻaalawComeنَدۡعُnadʻulet us callأَبۡنَآءَنَاʹabnaaaʹanaaour sonsوَأَبۡنَآءَكُمۡWaabnaaaʹakumand your sonsوَنِسَآءَنَاWanisaaaʹanaaand our womenوَنِسَآءَكُمۡwa-nisaaaʹakumand your womenوَأَنفُسَنَاwaʹañfusanaaand ourselvesوَأَنفُسَكُمۡwaʹañfusakumand yourselvesثُمَّs̤ummathenنَبۡتَهِلۡnabtahillet us pray humblyفَنَجۡعَلfanajʻaland [we] invokeلَّعۡنَتَlaʻnatalthe curseٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahعَلَىʻalalonٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَkaaẓibeen.the liars٦١
3:62إِنَّʹInnaIndeedهَٰذَاhaaẓaathisلَهُوَlahuwalsurely it (is)ٱلۡقَصَصُq̣aṣaṣulthe narration ٱلۡحَقُّۚḥaq̣q̣:[the] trueوَمَاwa-maaAnd (there is) noمِنۡmin(of)إِلَٰهٍʹilaahingodإِلَّاʹillalexceptٱللَّهُۚlaah:AllahوَإِنَّwaʹinnalAnd indeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahلَهُوَla-Huwalsurely HeٱلۡعَزِيزُʻAzeezul(is) the All-MightyٱلۡحَكِيمُḤakim.the All-Wise٦٢
3:63فَإِنFaʹiñAnd ifتَوَلَّوۡاْtawallawthey turn backفَإِنَّfaʹinnalthen indeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahعَلِيمُۢʻAleemum(is) All-Knowingبِٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَbil-mufsideen.of the corrupters٦٣
3:64قُلۡQ̣ulSayيَٰٓأَهۡلَyaaa-ʹahlalO PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the BookتَعَالَوۡاْtaʻaalawComeإِلَىٰʹilaatoكَلِمَةٖKalimatiña wordسَوَآءِۭsawaaaʹimequitableبَيۡنَنَاbaynanaabetween usوَبَيۡنَكُمۡwa-baynakumand between you أَلَّاʹallaathat notنَعۡبُدَnaʻbudawe worshipإِلَّاʹilalexceptٱللَّهَlaahaAllahوَلَاwa-laaand notنُشۡرِكَnushrikawe associate partnersبِهِۦbiheewith Him شَيۡـٔٗاshayʹañwanythingوَلَاwalaaand notيَتَّخِذَyat-takhiẓatakeبَعۡضُنَاbaʻḍunaasome of usبَعۡضًاbaʻḍan(to) othersأَرۡبَابٗاʹarbaabam(as) lordsمِّنmiñfromدُونِdoonilbesidesٱللَّهِۚlaah.AllahفَإِنFaʹiñThen ifتَوَلَّوۡاْtawallawthey turn awayفَقُولُواْfaq̣oolushthen sayٱشۡهَدُواْhadooBear witnessبِأَنَّاbiʹannaathat weمُسۡلِمُونَMuslimoon.(are) Muslims٦٤
3:65يَٰٓأَهۡلَYaaʹAhlalO PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the Bookلِمَlima Whyتُحَآجُّونَtuḥaajjoona(do) you argueفِيٓfeeeconcerningإِبۡرَٰهِيمَʹIbraaheemaIbrahimوَمَآwa-maaawhile notأُنزِلَتِʹunẓilatitwas revealedٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُTawraatuthe Tauratوَٱلۡإِنجِيلُwal-ʹIñjeeluand the Injeelإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمِنۢmimfromبَعۡدِهِۦٓۚbaʻdih?after himأَفَلَاAfalaaThen why dontتَعۡقِلُونَtaʻq̣iloon.you use your intellect٦٥
3:66هَٰٓأَنتُمۡHaaaʹañtumHere you are هَٰٓؤُلَآءِhaaaʹulaaaʹithose whoحَٰجَجۡتُمۡḥaa-jajtumarguedفِيمَاfeemaaabout whatلَكُمlakum̃[for] youبِهِۦbiheeof itعِلۡمٞʻilmuñ(have some) knowledgeفَلِمَfalimaThen whyتُحَآجُّونَtuḥaajjoona(do) you argueفِيمَاfeemaaabout whatلَيۡسَlaysanotلَكُمlakum̃for youبِهِۦbiheeof itعِلۡمٞۚʻilm?(any) knowledgeوَٱللَّهُWal-laahuAnd Allahيَعۡلَمُyaʻlamuknowsوَأَنتُمۡwaʹañtumwhile youلَاlaa-(do) notتَعۡلَمُونَtaʻlamoon!know٦٦
3:67مَاMaa-NotكَانَkaanawasإِبۡرَٰهِيمُʹIbraaheemuIbrahimيَهُودِيّٗاYahududiyaañwa Jewوَلَاwalaaand notنَصۡرَانِيّٗاNaṣraaniyyañwa ChristianوَلَٰكِنWa laakiñ[and] butكَانَkaanahe wasحَنِيفٗاḤaneefama trueمُّسۡلِمٗاMuslimaa:Muslimوَمَاwa-maaand notكَانَkaanahe wasمِنَminalfromٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَMushrikeen.the polytheists٦٧
3:68إِنَّʹInnaIndeedأَوۡلَىʹawlanthe best to claim relationshipٱلنَّاسِnaasi(of) peopleبِإِبۡرَٰهِيمَbiʹIb with Ibrahimلَلَّذِينَlallaẓeenat(are) those whoٱتَّبَعُوهُtabaʻoohufollow himوَهَٰذَاwa-haaẓanand thisٱلنَّبِيُّNabiyyu[the] Prophetوَٱلَّذِينَwallaẓeenaand those whoءَامَنُواْۗʹaamanoo:believe[d]وَٱللَّهُwallaahuAnd AllahوَلِيُّWaliyyul(is) a GuardianٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَMuʹmineen.(of) the believers٦٨
3:69وَدَّتWaddaṭWishedطَّآئِفَةٞṭaaaʹifatuma groupمِّنۡminfromأَهۡلِʹAhlil(the) PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the Bookلَوۡlawifيُضِلُّونَكُمۡyuḍilloonakum.they could lead you astrayوَمَاWa-maaand notيُضِلُّونَyuḍilloonathey lead astrayإِلَّآʹillaaaexceptأَنفُسَهُمۡʹañfusahumthemselvesوَمَاwa-maaand notيَشۡعُرُونَyashʻuroon.they perceive٦٩
3:70يَٰٓأَهۡلَYaaaʹAhlalO PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the BookلِمَlimaWhy doتَكۡفُرُونَtakfuroonayou denyبِـَٔايَٰتِbiʹAayaatil[in] the Signsٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahوَأَنتُمۡwaʹantumwhile youتَشۡهَدُونَtashhadoon.bear witness٧٠
3:71يَٰٓأَهۡلَYaaaʹAhlalO PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the BookلِمَlimaWhyتَلۡبِسُونَtalbisoonaldo you mixٱلۡحَقَّḥaq̣q̣athe truthبِٱلۡبَٰطِلِbilbaaṭiliwith the falsehoodوَتَكۡتُمُونَwa-taktumoonaland concealٱلۡحَقَّḥaq̣q̣athe truthوَأَنتُمۡwaʹañtumwhile youتَعۡلَمُونَtaʻlamoon?know٧١
3:72وَقَالَتWa-q̣aalaṭAnd saidطَّآئِفَةٞṭaaaʹifatuma groupمِّنۡminofأَهۡلِʹAhlil(the) PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the BookءَامِنُواْʹaaminooBelieveبِٱلَّذِيٓbillaẓeeein whatأُنزِلَʹuñzilawas revealedعَلَىʻalalonٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoءَامَنُواْʹaamanoobelieve[d]وَجۡهَwaj-han(at the) beginningٱلنَّهَارِnahaari(of) the dayوَٱكۡفُرُوٓاْwak-furoooand rejectءَاخِرَهُۥʹaakhirahoo(at) its endلَعَلَّهُمۡlaʻallahumperhaps they mayيَرۡجِعُونَyarjiʻoon;return٧٢
3:73وَلَاWa-laaAnd (do) notتُؤۡمِنُوٓاْtuʹminooobelieveإِلَّاʹillaaexceptلِمَنlimañ(the one) whoتَبِعَtabiʻafollowsدِينَكُمۡDeenakum.your religionقُلۡQ̣ulSayإِنَّʹinnalIndeedٱلۡهُدَىٰhudaathe (true) guidanceهُدَىhudal(is the) Guidanceٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allah أَنʹañylestيُؤۡتَىٰٓyuʹtaaais givenأَحَدٞʹaḥadum(to) one مِّثۡلَmis̤la(the) likeمَآmaaa(of) whatأُوتِيتُمۡʹooteetumwas given to youأَوۡʹaworيُحَآجُّوكُمۡyuḥaaaj they may argue with youعِندَʻiñdanearرَبِّكُمۡۗRabbikum.your LordقُلۡQ̣ulSayإِنَّʹinnalIndeedٱلۡفَضۡلَfaḍlathe Bountyبِيَدِbiyadil(is) in the Handٱللَّهِlah:(of) AllahيُؤۡتِيهِyuʹteehiHe gives itمَنmañy(to) whomيَشَآءُۗyashaaaʹ:He willsوَٱللَّهُwal-laahuand AllahوَٰسِعٌWaasiʻun(is) All-EncompassingعَلِيمٞʻAleem.All-Knowing٧٣
3:74يَخۡتَصُّYakhtaṣṣuHe choosesبِرَحۡمَتِهِۦbiraḥmatiheefor His Mercyمَنmañywhomيَشَآءُۗyashaaaʹ.He willsوَٱللَّهُWal-laahuAnd AllahذُوẒul(is) the Possessorٱلۡفَضۡلِfaḍlil(of) Bounty ٱلۡعَظِيمِʻAz̤̣eem.[the] great٧٤
3:75۞وَمِنۡWa-minAnd fromأَهۡلِʹAhlil(the) PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the Bookمَنۡman(is he) whoإِنʹiñifتَأۡمَنۡهُtaʹmanhuyou entrust himبِقِنطَارٖbiq̣iñṭaariñywith a great amount of wealthيُؤَدِّهِۦٓyuʹaddiheeehe will return itإِلَيۡكَʹilayk.to youوَمِنۡهُمWa-minhumAnd from themمَّنۡman(is he) whoإِنʹiñifتَأۡمَنۡهُtaʹmanhuyou entrust himبِدِينَارٖbideenarilwith a single coinلَّاlaanotيُؤَدِّهِۦٓyuʹaddiheeehe will return itإِلَيۡكَʹilaykato youإِلَّاillaaexceptمَاmaa-thatدُمۡتَdumtayou keep constantlyعَلَيۡهِʻalayhiover himقَآئِمٗاۗq̣aaaʹimaa.standingذَٰلِكَẒaalikaThatبِأَنَّهُمۡbiʹannahum(is) because theyقَالُواْq̣aaloosaidلَيۡسَlaysaNotعَلَيۡنَاʻalaynaaon usفِيfilconcerningٱلۡأُمِّيِّـۧنَʹummiyyeenathe unlettered peopleسَبِيلٞsabeel.any [way] (accountability)وَيَقُولُونَWa-yaq̣ooloonaAnd they sayعَلَىʻalalaboutٱللَّهِlaahilAllahٱلۡكَذِبَKaẓibathe lieوَهُمۡwa-humwhile theyيَعۡلَمُونَyaʻlamoon.know٧٥
3:76بَلَىٰۚBalaaNayمَنۡmanwhoeverأَوۡفَىٰʹawfaafulfillsبِعَهۡدِهِۦbiʻahdiheehis covenantوَٱتَّقَىٰwattaq̣aaand fears (Allah)فَإِنَّfaʹinnalthen indeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahيُحِبُّyuḥibbullovesٱلۡمُتَّقِينَMuttaq̣een.those who fear (Him)٧٦
3:77إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoيَشۡتَرُونَyashtaroonaexchangeبِعَهۡدِbiʻahdil(the) Covenantٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahوَأَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡwaʹaymaanihimand their oathsثَمَنٗاs̤amanañ(for) a priceقَلِيلًاq̣aleelanlittleأُوْلَٰٓئِكَʹulaaaʹikathose لَاlaa-noخَلَٰقَkhalaaq̣ashareلَهُمۡlahumfor themفِيfilinٱلۡأٓخِرَةِʹAakhiratithe Hereafterوَلَاwa-laaand notيُكَلِّمُهُمُyukalimuhumulwill speak to themٱللَّهُlaahuAllahوَلَاwa-laaand notيَنظُرُyañz̤̣uralookإِلَيۡهِمۡʹilayhimat themيَوۡمَYawmal(on the) DayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِQ̣iyaamati(of) the Resurrectionوَلَاwa-laaand notيُزَكِّيهِمۡyuzakkeehim:purify themوَلَهُمۡwa-lahumand for themعَذَابٌʻaẓaabun(is) a punishmentأَلِيمٞʹaleem.painful٧٧
3:78وَإِنَّWaʹinnaAnd indeedمِنۡهُمۡminhumamong themلَفَرِيقٗاlafareeq̣añysurely (is) a group يَلۡوُۥنَyalwoonathey distortأَلۡسِنَتَهُمʹalsinatahum̃their tonguesبِٱلۡكِتَٰبِbil-Kitaabiin (reciting) the Bookلِتَحۡسَبُوهُlitaḥsaboohuso that you may think itمِنَminal(is) fromٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabithe Bookوَمَاwa-maaand notهُوَhuwaitمِنَminal(is) fromٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaab.the BookوَيَقُولُونَWa-yaq̣ooloonaAnd they sayهُوَhuwaItمِنۡmiñ(is)عِندِʻiñdilfromٱللَّهِlaahiAllahوَمَاwa-maaBut notهُوَhuwaitمِنۡmin(is)عِندِʻiñdilfromٱللَّهِۖlaah:Allahوَيَقُولُونَwa-yaq̣ooloonaAnd they sayعَلَىʻalalaboutٱللَّهِlaaheelAllahٱلۡكَذِبَkaẓibathe lieوَهُمۡwa-humwhile theyيَعۡلَمُونَyaʻlamoon.know٧٨
3:79مَاMaa-Notكَانَkaanaisلِبَشَرٍlibasharinfor a humanأَنʹañythatيُؤۡتِيَهُyuʹtiyahulgives himٱللَّهُlaahulAllahٱلۡكِتَٰبَKitaabathe Bookوَٱلۡحُكۡمَwal-Ḥukmaand the wisdomوَٱلنُّبُوَّةَwan-Nubuwwataand the Prophethoodثُمَّs̤ummathenيَقُولَyaq̣oolahe saysلِلنَّاسِlinnaasito the peopleكُونُواْkoonooBeعِبَادٗاʻibaadalworshippersلِّيleeof meمِنmiñfromدُونِdoonilbesidesٱللَّهِlaahiAllahوَلَٰكِنwa-laakiñbut (would say)كُونُواْkoonooBeرَبَّٰنِيِّـۧنَRabbaaniyyeenaworshippers of the Lordبِمَاbimaabecauseكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou have beenتُعَلِّمُونَtuʻallimoonalteachingٱلۡكِتَٰبَKitaabathe Bookوَبِمَاwa-bimaaand becauseكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou have beenتَدۡرُسُونَtadrusoon.studying (it)٧٩
3:80وَلَاWa-laaAnd notيَأۡمُرَكُمۡyaʹmurakumhe will order youأَنʻañthatتَتَّخِذُواْtat-takhiẓulyou takeٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَmalaaaʹikatathe Angelsوَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَwan-nabiyyeenaand the Prophetsأَرۡبَابًاۚʹarbaabaa.(as) lordsأَيَأۡمُرُكُمʹAyaʹmurukum̃Would he order youبِٱلۡكُفۡرِbilkufrito [the] disbeliefبَعۡدَbaʻdaafterإِذۡʹiẓ[when]أَنتُمʹañtumyou (have become)مُّسۡلِمُونَMuslimoon?Muslims٨٠
3:81وَإِذۡWaʹiẓAnd whenأَخَذَʹakhaẓaltookٱللَّهُlaahuAllahمِيثَٰقَMees̤aaq̣ancovenantٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَNabiyyeena(of) the ProphetsلَمَآlamaaaCertainly whateverءَاتَيۡتُكُمʹaataytukumI (have) given youمِّنmiñofكِتَٰبٖKitaabiñw(the) Bookوَحِكۡمَةٖwa-Ḥikmatiñand wisdomثُمَّs̤ummathenجَآءَكُمۡjaaaʹakumcomes to youرَسُولٞRasooluma MessengerمُّصَدِّقٞMuṣaddiq̣ulconfirmingلِّمَاlimaathat whichمَعَكُمۡmaʻakum(is) with youلَتُؤۡمِنُنَّlatuʹminunnayou must believeبِهِۦbiheein himوَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُۥۚwala-tañ-ṣuroonah.and you must help himقَالَQ̣aalaHe saidءَأَقۡرَرۡتُمۡʹaʹaq̣rartumDo you affirmوَأَخَذۡتُمۡwaʹakhaẓtumand takeعَلَىٰʹalaaonذَٰلِكُمۡẓaalikumthat (condition)إِصۡرِيۖʹIṣree?My CovenantقَالُوٓاْQ̣aaloooThey saidأَقۡرَرۡنَاۚʹaq̣rarnaa.We affirmقَالَQ̣aalaHe saidفَٱشۡهَدُواْfashhadooThen bear witnessوَأَنَا۠waʹanaand I (am)مَعَكُمmaʻkumwith youمِّنَminashamongٱلشَّٰهِدِينَShaahideen.the witnesses٨١
3:82فَمَنFamañThen whoeverتَوَلَّىٰtawallaaturns awayبَعۡدَbaʻdaafterذَٰلِكَẓaalikathatفَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَfaʹulaaaʹikathen thoseهُمُhumultheyٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَfaasiq̣oon.(are) the defiantly disobedient٨٢
3:83أَفَغَيۡرَʹAfag̣ayraSo is (it) other thanدِينِDeenil(the) religionٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahيَبۡغُونَyab-g̣oonathey seekوَلَهُۥٓwa-lahoooWhile to Himأَسۡلَمَʹaslama(have) submittedمَنmañwhateverفِيfis(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِsamaawaatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ʹarḍiand the earthطَوۡعٗاṭawʻañwwillinglyوَكَرۡهٗاwa karhañwor unwillinglyوَإِلَيۡهِwaʹilayhiand towards Himيُرۡجَعُونَyurjaʻoon?they will be returned٨٣
3:84قُلۡQ̣ulSayءَامَنَّاʹaamannaaWe believedبِٱللَّهِbillaahiin Allahوَمَآwa-maaand whatأُنزِلَʹuñzila(is) revealedعَلَيۡنَاʻalaynaaon usوَمَآwa-maaaand whatأُنزِلَʹuñẓilawas revealedعَلَىٰٓʻalaaaonإِبۡرَٰهِيمَʹIbraaheemaIbrahimوَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَwaʹIsmaaʻeelaand IshmaelوَإِسۡحَٰقَwaʹIsḥaaq̣aand Isaacوَيَعۡقُوبَwa-Yaʻq̣oobaand Yaqubوَٱلۡأَسۡبَاطِwal-ʹAsbaaṭiand the descendentsوَمَآwa-maaaand whatأُوتِيَʹootiyawas givenمُوسَىٰMoosaaa(to) MusaوَعِيسَىٰwaʻEesaaand Isaوَٱلنَّبِيُّونَwan-nabiyyoonaand the ProphetsمِنmirfromرَّبِّهِمۡRabbihim.their LordلَاLaa-Notنُفَرِّقُnufarriq̣uwe make distinctionبَيۡنَbaynabetweenأَحَدٖʹaḥadimanyمِّنۡهُمۡminhum,of themوَنَحۡنُwa-naḥnuand weلَهُۥlahooto HimمُسۡلِمُونَMuslimoon.(are) submissive٨٤
3:85وَمَنWa-mañyAnd whoeverيَبۡتَغِyabtag̣iseeksغَيۡرَg̣ayralother thanٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمِʹIslaami[the] IslamدِينٗاDeenañ(as) religionفَلَنfalañythen neverيُقۡبَلَyuq̣balawill be acceptedمِنۡهُminh;from himوَهُوَwa-huwaand heفِيfilinٱلۡأٓخِرَةِʹAakhiratithe Hereafterمِنَminal(will be) fromٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَkhaasireen.the losers٨٥
3:86كَيۡفَKayfaHowيَهۡدِيyahdil(shall) guideٱللَّهُlaahuAllahقَوۡمٗاq̣awmaña peopleكَفَرُواْkafaroo(who) disbelievedبَعۡدَbaʻdaafterإِيمَٰنِهِمۡʹeemaanihimtheir beliefوَشَهِدُوٓاْwa-shahidoooand (had) witnessedأَنَّʹannarthatٱلرَّسُولَRasoolathe Messengerحَقّٞḥaq̣q̣uñw(is) trueوَجَآءَهُمُwajaaaʹahumuland came to themٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُۚBayyinaat?the clear proofsوَٱللَّهُWal-laahuAnd Allahلَاlaa-(does) notيَهۡدِيyahdilguideٱلۡقَوۡمَq̣awmaz̤̣the peopleٱلظَّٰلِمِينَz̤̣aalimeen.[the] wrongdoers٨٦
3:87أُوْلَٰٓئِكَʹUlaaʹikaThose جَزَآؤُهُمۡjazaaaʹuhumtheir recompenseأَنَّʹannathatعَلَيۡهِمۡʻalayhimon themلَعۡنَةَlaʻnatal(is the) curseٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahوَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِwalmalaaaʹikatiand the Angelsوَٱلنَّاسِwannaasiand the peopleأَجۡمَعِينَʹajmaʻeen;all together٨٧
3:88خَٰلِدِينَKhaalideena(They will) abide foreverفِيهَاfeehaa;in itلَاlaa-Notيُخَفَّفُyukhaffafuwill be lightenedعَنۡهُمُʻanhumulfor themٱلۡعَذَابُʻaẓaabuthe punishmentوَلَاwa-laaand notهُمۡhumtheyيُنظَرُونَyuñz̤̣aroon;will be reprieved٨٨
3:89إِلَّاʹIllalExceptٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoتَابُواْtaaboorepentمِنۢmimfromبَعۡدِbaʻdiafterذَٰلِكَẓaalikathatوَأَصۡلَحُواْwa-ʹaṣlaḥoo;and reform[ed] themselvesفَإِنَّfaʹinnalThen indeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahغَفُورٞG̣afoorur(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌRaḥeem.Most Merciful٨٩
3:90إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelievedبَعۡدَbaʻdaafterإِيمَٰنِهِمۡʹeemaanihimtheir beliefثُمَّs̤ummazthenٱزۡدَادُواْdaadoothey increasedكُفۡرٗاkufral(in) disbeliefلَّنlañneverتُقۡبَلَtuq̣balawill be acceptedتَوۡبَتُهُمۡtawbatuhum;their repentanceوَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَwa-ʹulaaaʹikaand those هُمُhumuḍtheyٱلضَّآلُّونَḍaaalloon.(are) those who have gone astray٩٠
3:91إِنَّʹInnalIndeedٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoكَفَرُواْkafaroodisbelieve[d]وَمَاتُواْwa-maatooand diedوَهُمۡwa-humwhile theyكُفَّارٞkuffaaruñ(are) disbelieversفَلَنfalañythen neverيُقۡبَلَyuq̣balawill be acceptedمِنۡminfromأَحَدِهِمʹaḥadihimany one of themمِّلۡءُmilʹulfullٱلۡأَرۡضِʹarḍiearthذَهَبٗاẓahabañw(of) goldوَلَوِwalawif[and] (even) ifٱفۡتَدَىٰtadaahe offered as ransomبِهِۦٓۗbih.itأُوْلَٰٓئِكَʹUlaaaʹikaThose لَهُمۡlahumfor themعَذَابٌʻaẓaabun(is) a punishmentأَلِيمٞʹaleemuñwpainfulوَمَاWamaaand notلَهُمlahum(will be) for themمِّنminanyنَّٰصِرِينَnaaṣireen.helpers٩١
3:92لَنLañNeverتَنَالُواْtanaalulwill you attainٱلۡبِرَّbirra[the] righteousnessحَتَّىٰḥattaauntilتُنفِقُواْtuñfiq̣ooyou spendمِمَّاmimmaafrom whatتُحِبُّونَۚtuḥibboon.you loveوَمَاWa-maaAnd whateverتُنفِقُواْtuñfiq̣ooyou spendمِنmiñofشَيۡءٖshayʹiña thingفَإِنَّfaʹinnalthen indeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahبِهِۦbiheeof itعَلِيمٞʻAleem.(is) All-Knowing٩٢
3:93۞كُلُّKulluṭAllٱلطَّعَامِṭaʻaami[the] foodكَانَkaanawasحِلّٗاḥillallawfulلِّبَنِيٓli-Baneeefor (the) ChildrenإِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَʹIsraaaʹeela(of) Israelإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمَاmaa-whatحَرَّمَḥarramamade unlawfulإِسۡرَٰٓءِيلُʹIsraaaʹeeluIsraelعَلَىٰʻalaauponنَفۡسِهِۦnafsiheehimselfمِنmiñfromقَبۡلِq̣ablibeforeأَنʹañ[that]تُنَزَّلَtunazzalat(was) revealedٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُۚTawraah.the TauratقُلۡQ̣ulSayفَأۡتُواْfaʹtooSo bringبِٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِbit-Tawraatithe Tauratفَٱتۡلُوهَآfatloohaaaand recite itإِنʹiñifكُنتُمۡkuñtumyou areصَٰدِقِينَṣaadiq̣een.truthful٩٣
3:94فَمَنِFamanifThen whoeverٱفۡتَرَىٰtaraafabricatesعَلَىʻalalaboutٱللَّهِlaahilAllahٱلۡكَذِبَkaẓiba[the] lieمِنۢmimfromبَعۡدِbaʻdiafterذَٰلِكَẓaalikathatفَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَfaʹulaaaʹikathen those هُمُhumuz̤̣theyٱلظَّٰلِمُونَz̤̣aalimoon.(are) the wrongdoers٩٤
3:95قُلۡQ̣ulSayصَدَقَṣadaq̣al(has) spoken the truthٱللَّهُۗlaah:Allahفَٱتَّبِعُواْfattabiʻoothen followمِلَّةَMillata(the) religionإِبۡرَٰهِيمَʹIbraaheema(of) Ibrahimحَنِيفٗاۖḥaneefaa;(the) uprightوَمَاwa-maaand notكَانَkaanahe wasمِنَminalofٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَmushrikeen.the polytheists٩٥
3:96إِنَّʹInnaIndeedأَوَّلَʹAwwala(the) FirstبَيۡتٖBaytiñwHouseوُضِعَwuḍiʻaset upلِلنَّاسِlinnaasifor the mankindلَلَّذِيlallaḍee(is) the one whichبِبَكَّةَbi-Bakkata(is) at Bakkahمُبَارَكٗاmubaarakañwblessedوَهُدٗىwahudaland a guidanceلِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَlil-ʻaalameen:for the worlds٩٦
3:97فِيهِFeehiIn itءَايَٰتُۢʹAayaatum(are) signsبَيِّنَٰتٞBayyinaatumclearمَّقَامُMaq̣aamustanding placeإِبۡرَٰهِيمَۖʹIbraaheema;(of) Ibrahimوَمَنwa-mañand whoeverدَخَلَهُۥdakhalahooenters it كَانَkaanaisءَامِنٗاۗʹaaminaa.safeوَلِلَّهِWa-lillaahiAnd (due) to Allahعَلَىʻalanuponٱلنَّاسِnaasithe mankindحِجُّḤijjul(is) pilgrimageٱلۡبَيۡتِBayti(of) the Houseمَنِmanis(for one) whoٱسۡتَطَاعَtaṭaaʻais ableإِلَيۡهِʹilayhito [it]سَبِيلٗاۚsabeelaa.(find) a wayوَمَنWa-mañAnd whoeverكَفَرَkafaradisbelievedفَإِنَّfaʹinnalthen indeedٱللَّهَlaahaAllahغَنِيٌّG̣aniyyun(is) free from needعَنِʻanilofٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَʻaalameen.the universe٩٧
3:98قُلۡQ̣ulSayيَٰٓأَهۡلَyaaaʹAhlalO PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the BookلِمَlimaWhyتَكۡفُرُونَtakfuroona(do) you disbelieveبِـَٔايَٰتِbiʹAayaatilin (the) Versesٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahوَٱللَّهُwallaahuwhile AllahشَهِيدٌShaheedun(is) a Witnessعَلَىٰʻalaaoverمَاmaa-whatتَعۡمَلُونَtaʻmaloon?you do٩٨
3:99قُلۡQ̣ulSayيَٰٓأَهۡلَyaaaʹAhlalO PeopleٱلۡكِتَٰبِKitaabi(of) the BookلِمَlimaWhyتَصُدُّونَtaṣuddoona(do) you hinderعَنʻañfromسَبِيلِSabeelil(the) wayٱللَّهِlaahi(of) Allahمَنۡman(those) whoءَامَنَʹaamanabelieve[d]تَبۡغُونَهَاtab-g̣oo-nahaaseeking (to make) itعِوَجٗاʻiwajañw(seem) crookedوَأَنتُمۡwaʹañtumwhile youشُهَدَآءُۗshuhadaaaʹ?(are) witnessesوَمَاWa-malAnd notٱللَّهُlaahuAllahبِغَٰفِلٍbig̣aafilin(is) unawareعَمَّاʻammaaof whatتَعۡمَلُونَtaʻmaloon.you do٩٩
3:100يَٰٓأَيُّهَاYaaaʹayyuhalO youٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenawhoءَامَنُوٓاْʹaamanooobelieve[d]إِنʹiñIfتُطِيعُواْtuṭeeʻooyou obeyفَرِيقٗاfareeq̣ama groupمِّنَminalfromٱلَّذِينَlaẓeenathose whoأُوتُواْʹootulwere givenٱلۡكِتَٰبَKitaabathe Bookيَرُدُّوكُمyaruddookum̃they will turn you backبَعۡدَbaʻdaafterإِيمَٰنِكُمۡʹeemaanikumyour beliefكَٰفِرِينَkaafireen.(as) disbelievers١٠٠
