Sanulq̣ee
We will cast
فِي
fee
in
قُلُوبِ
q̣uloobil
(the) hearts
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafarur
disbelieve
ٱلرُّعۡبَ
ruʻba
[the] terror
بِمَآ
bimaaa
because
أَشۡرَكُواْ
ʹashrakoo
they associated partners
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-laahi
with Allah
مَا
maa-
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
يُنَزِّلۡ
yunazzil
He sent down
بِهِۦ
bihee
about it
سُلۡطَٰنٗاۖ
sulṭaanaa:
any authority
وَمَأۡوَىٰهُمُ
wa-maʹwaa-humun
and their refuge
ٱلنَّارُۖ
Naar:
(will be) the Fire
وَبِئۡسَ
wa-biʹsa
and wretched
مَثۡوَى
mas̤waz̤̣
(is the) abode
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen!
[of] the wrongdoers
١٥١
3:152
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
صَدَقَكُمُ
ṣadaq̣akumul
fulfilled to you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
وَعۡدَهُۥٓ
waʻdahooo
His promise
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
when
تَحُسُّونَهُم
taḥussoonahum̃
you were killing them
بِإِذۡنِهِۦۖ
biʹiẓnih,
by His permission
حَتَّىٰٓ
ḥattaaa
until
إِذَا
ʹizaa
when
فَشِلۡتُمۡ
fashiltum
you lost courage
وَتَنَٰزَعۡتُمۡ
wa-tanaazaʻtum
and you fell into dispute
فِي
fil
concerning
ٱلۡأَمۡرِ
ʹamri
the order
وَعَصَيۡتُم
wa-ʻaṣaytum
and you disobeyed
مِّنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مَآ
maaa
[what]
أَرَىٰكُم
ʹaraakum
He (had) shown you
مَّا
maa
what
تُحِبُّونَۚ
tuḥibboon.
you love
مِنكُم
Miñkum
Among you
مَّن
mañy
(are some) who
يُرِيدُ
yureedud
desire
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
وَمِنكُم
wa-miñkum
and among you
مَّن
mañy
(are some) who
يُرِيدُ
yureedul
desire
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَۚ
ʹAakhirah.
the Hereafter
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
صَرَفَكُمۡ
ṣarafakum
He diverted you
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
from them
لِيَبۡتَلِيَكُمۡۖ
liyabtaliyakum.
so that He may test you
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And surely
عَفَا
ʻafaa
He forgave
عَنكُمۡۗ
ʻañkum:
you
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-laahu
And Allah
ذُو
Ẓoo
(is the) Possessor
فَضۡلٍ
faḍlin
(of) Bounty
عَلَى
ʻalal
for
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen
the believers
١٥٢
3:153
۞إِذۡ
ʹIẓ
When
تُصۡعِدُونَ
tuṣʻidoona
you were running uphill
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
تَلۡوُۥنَ
talwoona
casting a glance
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
on
أَحَدٖ
ʹaḥadiñw
anyone
وَٱلرَّسُولُ
war-Rasoolu
while the Messenger
يَدۡعُوكُمۡ
yadʻookum
was calling you
فِيٓ
feee
[in]
أُخۡرَىٰكُمۡ
ʹukhraakum
(from) behind you
فَأَثَٰبَكُمۡ
faʹaṣaabakum
So (He) repaid you
غَمَّۢا
g̣ammam
(with) distress
بِغَمّٖ
big̣ammil
on distress
لِّكَيۡلَا
likaylaa
so that not
تَحۡزَنُواْ
ṭaḥzanoo
you grieve
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
مَا
maa-
what
فَاتَكُمۡ
faatakum
escaped you
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
مَآ
maaa
what
أَصَٰبَكُمۡۗ
ʹaṣaabakum.
(had) befallen you
وَٱللَّهُ
Wal-laahu
And Allah
خَبِيرُۢ
Khabeerum
(is) All-Aware
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloon.
you do

ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
أَنزَلَ
ʹañzala
He sent down
عَلَيۡكُم
ʻalaykum
upon you
مِّنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdil
after
ٱلۡغَمِّ
g̣ammi
the distress
أَمَنَةٗ
ʹamanatan
security
نُّعَاسٗا
nuʻaasañy
slumber
يَغۡشَىٰ
yag̣shaa
overcoming
طَآئِفَةٗ
ṭaaaʹifatam
a group
مِّنكُمۡۖ
miñkum
of you
وَطَآئِفَةٞ
waṭaaaʹifatuñ
while a group
قَدۡ
q̣ad
certainly
أَهَمَّتۡهُمۡ
ʹahammathum
worried [them]
أَنفُسُهُمۡ
ʹañfusuhum
(about) themselves
يَظُنُّونَ
ya-Z̤̣unnoona
thinking
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-laahi
about Allah
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayral
other than
ٱلۡحَقِّ
ḥaq̣q̣i
the truth
ظَنَّ
z̤̣annal
(the) thought
ٱلۡجَٰهِلِيَّةِۖ
jaahiliyyah.
(of) [the] ignorance
يَقُولُونَ
Yaq̣ooloona
saying
هَل
hal
Is (there)
لَّنَا
lanaa
for us
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡأَمۡرِ
ʹamri
the matter
مِن
miñ
any
شَيۡءٖۗ
shayʹ.
thing
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱلۡأَمۡرَ
ʹamra
the matter
كُلَّهُۥ
kullahoo
all (of) it
لِلَّهِۗ
lillaah.
(is) for Allah
يُخۡفُونَ
Yukhfoona
They hide
فِيٓ
feee
in
أَنفُسِهِم
ʹañfusihim
themselves
مَّا
Maa
what
لَا
laa-
not
يُبۡدُونَ
yubdoona
they reveal
لَكَۖ
lak.
to you
يَقُولُونَ
Yaq̣ooloona
They say
لَوۡ
law
If
كَانَ
kaana
was
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡأَمۡرِ
ʹamri
the matter
شَيۡءٞ
shayʹum
anything
مَّا
maa
not
قُتِلۡنَا
q̣utilna
we would have been killed
هَٰهُنَاۗ
haahunaa.
here
قُل
Q̣ul
Say
لَّوۡ
law
If
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you were
فِي
fee
in
بُيُوتِكُمۡ
buyootikum
your houses
لَبَرَزَ
labarazal
surely (would have) come out
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
كُتِبَ
kutiba
was decreed
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ʻalayhimul
upon them
ٱلۡقَتۡلُ
q̣atlu
[the] death
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
towards
مَضَاجِعِهِمۡۖ
maḍaajiʻihim;
their places of death
وَلِيَبۡتَلِيَ
walliyabtaliyal
And that might test
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
مَا
maa-
what
فِي
fee
(is) in
صُدُورِكُمۡ
ṣudoorikum
your breasts
وَلِيُمَحِّصَ
waliyumaḥḥiṣa
and that He may purge
مَا
maa-
what
فِي
fee
(is) in
قُلُوبِكُمۡۚ
q̣uloobikum.
your hearts
وَٱللَّهُ
Wallaahu
And Allah
عَلِيمُۢ
ʻAleemum
(is) All-Aware
بِذَاتِ
biẓaatiṣ
of what
ٱلصُّدُورِ
ṣudoor.
(is in) the breasts
١٥٤
3:155
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
تَوَلَّوۡاْ
tawallaw
turned back
مِنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on the) day
ٱلۡتَقَى
taq̣al
met
ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ
jamʻaani
the two hosts
إِنَّمَا
ʹinnamas
only
ٱسۡتَزَلَّهُمُ
tazal-lahumush
made them slip
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
Shayṭaanu
the Shaitaan
بِبَعۡضِ
bibaʻḍi
for some
مَا
maa-
(of) what
كَسَبُواْۖ
kasaboo.
they (had) earned
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And surely
عَفَا
ʻafal
forgave
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَنۡهُمۡۗ
ʻanhum:
[on] them
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَفُورٌ
G̣afoorun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
حَلِيمٞ
Haleem.
All-Forbearing
١٥٥
3:156
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe[d]
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَكُونُواْ
takoonoo
be
كَٱلَّذِينَ
kallaẓeena
like those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
وَقَالُواْ
wa-q̣aalooo
and they said
لِإِخۡوَٰنِهِمۡ
liʹikhwaanihim
about their brothers
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
ضَرَبُواْ
ḍaraboo
they traveled
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they were
غُزّٗى
g̣uzzal
fighting
لَّوۡ
law
If
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they had been
عِندَنَا
ʻiñdanaa
with us
مَا
maa-
not
مَاتُواْ
maatoo
they (would have) died
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
قُتِلُواْ
q̣utiloo;
they (would have) been killed
لِيَجۡعَلَ
liyajʻalal
So makes
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
حَسۡرَةٗ
ḥasratañ
a regret
فِي
fee
in
قُلُوبِهِمۡۗ
q̣uloobihim.
their hearts
وَٱللَّهُ
Wal-laahu
And Allah
يُحۡيِۦ
yuḥee
gives life
وَيُمِيتُۗ
wa-yumeet,
and causes death
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
and Allah
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloona
you do
بَصِيرٞ
Baṣeer.
(is) All-Seer
١٥٦
3:157
وَلَئِن
Wa-laʹiñ
And if
قُتِلۡتُمۡ
q̣utiltum
you are killed
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
مُتُّمۡ
muttum
die[d]
لَمَغۡفِرَةٞ
lamag̣firatum
certainly forgiveness
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَرَحۡمَةٌ
wa-raḥmatun
and Mercy
خَيۡرٞ
khayrum
(are) better
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
than what
يَجۡمَعُونَ
yajmaʻoon.
they accumulate
١٥٧

3:158
وَلَئِن
Wa-laʹim
And if
مُّتُّمۡ
muttum
you die
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
قُتِلۡتُمۡ
q̣utiltum
are killed
لَإِلَى
laʹilal
surely to
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
تُحۡشَرُونَ
tuḥsharoon.
you will be gathered
١٥٨
3:159
فَبِمَا
Fabimaa
So because
رَحۡمَةٖ
Raḥmatim
(of) Mercy
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
لِنتَ
liñta
you dealt gently
لَهُمۡۖ
lahum.
with them
وَلَوۡ
Wa-law
And if
كُنتَ
kuñta
you had been
فَظًّا
faz̤̣z̤̣an
rude
غَلِيظَ
g̣aleez̤̣al
(and) harsh
ٱلۡقَلۡبِ
q̣albi
(at) [the] heart
لَٱنفَضُّواْ
lañ-faḍḍoo
surely they (would have) dispersed
مِنۡ
min
from
حَوۡلِكَۖ
ḥawlik:
around you
فَٱعۡفُ
faʻfu
Then pardon
عَنۡهُمۡ
ʻanhum
[from] them
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ
wastag̣fir
and ask forgiveness
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
وَشَاوِرۡهُمۡ
wa-shaawir-hum
and consult them
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ
ʹamr.
the matter
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
Then when
عَزَمۡتَ
ʻazamta
you have decided
فَتَوَكَّلۡ
fatawakkal
then put trust
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah.
Allah
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
loves
ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
Mutawakkileen.
the ones who put trust (in Him)
١٥٩
3:160
إِن
ʹIñy
If
يَنصُرۡكُمُ
yañṣurkumul
helps you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
فَلَا
falaa
then not
غَالِبَ
g̣aaliba
(can) overcome
لَكُمۡۖ
lakum:
[for] you
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñy
and if
يَخۡذُلۡكُمۡ
yakhẓulkum
He forsakes you
فَمَن
famañ
then who
ذَا
ẓal
(is)
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the one who
يَنصُرُكُم
yañ-ṣurukum
can help you
مِّنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِهِۦۗ
baʻdih?
after Him
وَعَلَى
Wa-ʻalal
And on
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ
fal-yatawak-kalil
let put (their) trust
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
Muʹminoon.
the believers
١٦٠
3:161
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
كَانَ
kaana
is
لِنَبِيٍّ
linabiyyin
for a Prophet
أَن
ʹañy
that
يَغُلَّۚ
yag̣ull.
he defrauds
وَمَن
Wa-mañy
And whoever
يَغۡلُلۡ
yag̣lul
defrauds
يَأۡتِ
yaʹti
will bring
بِمَا
bimaa
what
غَلَّ
g̣alla
he had defrauded
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ
Q̣iyaamah;
(of) Resurrection
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
Then
تُوَفَّىٰ
tuwaffaa
is repaid in full
كُلُّ
kullu
every
نَفۡسٖ
nafsim
soul
مَّا
maa
what
كَسَبَتۡ
kasabat
it earned
وَهُمۡ
wahum
and they
لَا
laa-
(will) not
يُظۡلَمُونَ
yuz̤̣lamoon.
be wronged
١٦١
3:162
أَفَمَنِ
ʹAfamanit
So is (the one) who
ٱتَّبَعَ
tabaʻa
pursues
رِضۡوَٰنَ
Riḍwaanal
(the) pleasure
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
كَمَنۢ
kamam
like (the one) who
بَآءَ
baaaʹa
draws
بِسَخَطٖ
bisakhaṭim
on (himself) wrath
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَمَأۡوَىٰهُ
wa-maʹwaahu
and his abode
جَهَنَّمُۖ
Jahannam,
(is) hell
وَبِئۡسَ
wa-biʹsal
and wretched
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
maṣeer?
(is) the destination
١٦٢
3:163
هُمۡ
Hum
They
دَرَجَٰتٌ
darajaatun
(are in varying) degrees
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
near
ٱللَّهِۗ
laah:
Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
and Allah
بَصِيرُۢ
Baṣeerum
(is) All-Seer
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
يَعۡمَلُونَ
yaʻmaloon.
they do
١٦٣
3:164
لَقَدۡ
Laq̣ad
Certainly
مَنَّ
mannal
bestowed a Favor
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
عَلَى
ʻalal
upon
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineena
the believers
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
as
بَعَثَ
baʻas̤a
He raised
فِيهِمۡ
feehim
among them
رَسُولٗا
Rasoolam
a Messenger
مِّنۡ
min
from
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
ʹañfusihim
themselves
يَتۡلُواْ
yatloo
reciting
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
to them
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ʹAayaatihee
His Verses
وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡ
wa-yuzak-keehim
and purifying them
وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ
wa-yuʻallimu-humul
and teaching them
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ
wal-Ḥikmata
and the wisdom
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
although
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they were
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلُ
q̣ablu
before (that)
لَفِي
lafee
certainly in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaalim
(the) error
مُّبِينٍ
mubeen.

١٦٤
3:165
أَوَلَمَّآ
ʹA-walammaaa
Or when
أَصَٰبَتۡكُم
ʹaṣaabatkum
struck you
مُّصِيبَةٞ
muṣeebatuñ
disaster
قَدۡ
q̣ad
surely
أَصَبۡتُم
ʹaṣabtum
you (had) struck (them)
مِّثۡلَيۡهَا
mis̤layhaa
twice of it
قُلۡتُمۡ
q̣ultum
you said
أَنَّىٰ
ʹannaa
From where
هَٰذَاۖ
haaẓaa?
(is) this
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
هُوَ
huwa
It
مِنۡ
min
(is)
عِندِ
ʻiñdi
from
أَنفُسِكُمۡۗ
ʹañfusikum:
yourselves
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñ
thing
قَدِيرٞ
Q̣adeer.
All-Powerful
١٦٥

3:166
وَمَآ
Wa-maaa
And what
أَصَٰبَكُمۡ
ʹaṣaabakum
struck you
يَوۡمَ
yawmal
(on the) day
ٱلۡتَقَى
taq̣al
(when) met
ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ
jamʻaani
the two hosts
فَبِإِذۡنِ
fabiʹiẓnil
(was) by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَلِيَعۡلَمَ
wa-liyaʻlamal
and that He (might) make evident
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen;
the believers
١٦٦
3:167
وَلِيَعۡلَمَ
Wa-liyaʻlamal
And that He (might) make evident
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
نَافَقُواْۚ
naafaq̣oo
(are) hypocrites
وَقِيلَ
wa-q̣eela
And it was said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
تَعَالَوۡاْ
taʻaalaw
Come
قَٰتِلُواْ
q̣aatiloo
fight
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
Sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
أَوِ
ʹawid
or
ٱدۡفَعُواْۖ
faʻoo.
defend
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
لَوۡ
law
If
نَعۡلَمُ
naʻlamu
we knew
قِتَالٗا
q̣itaalal-lat
fighting
لَّٱتَّبَعۡنَٰكُمۡۗ
tabaʻnaakum.
certainly we (would have) followed you
هُمۡ
Hum
They
لِلۡكُفۡرِ
lilkufri
to disbelief
يَوۡمَئِذٍ
yawmaʹiẓin
that day
أَقۡرَبُ
ʹaq̣rabu
(were) nearer
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
than [them]
لِلۡإِيمَٰنِۚ
lil-ʹeemaan,
to the faith
يَقُولُونَ
Yaq̣ooloona
saying
بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِم
biʹafwaahihim
with their mouths
مَّا
maa
what
لَيۡسَ
laysa
was not
فِي
fee
in
قُلُوبِهِمۡۚ
q̣uloobihim.
their hearts
وَٱللَّهُ
Wal-laahu
And Allah
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹAʻlamu
(is) Most Knowing
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
يَكۡتُمُونَ
yaktumoon.
they conceal
١٦٧
3:168
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
قَالُواْ
q̣aaloo
said
لِإِخۡوَٰنِهِمۡ
liʹikhwaanihim
about their brothers
وَقَعَدُواْ
wa-q̣aʻadoo
while they sat
لَوۡ
law
If
أَطَاعُونَا
ʹaṭaaʻoonaa
they (had) obeyed us
مَا
maa
not
قُتِلُواْۗ
q̣utiloo
they would have been killed
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
فَٱدۡرَءُواْ
fadraʹoo
Then avert
عَنۡ
ʻan
from
أَنفُسِكُمُ
ʹañfusikumul
yourselves
ٱلۡمَوۡتَ
mawta
[the] death
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
ṣaadiq̣een.
truthful
١٦٨
3:169
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَحۡسَبَنَّ
taḥsabannal
think
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(of) those who
قُتِلُواْ
q̣utiloo
are killed
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
Sabilil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
أَمۡوَٰتَۢاۚ
ʹamwaataa.
(as) dead
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
أَحۡيَآءٌ
ʹaḥyaaaʹun
They are alive
عِندَ
ʻiñda
near
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
their Lord
يُرۡزَقُونَ
yurzaq̣oon;
they are given provision
١٦٩
3:170
فَرِحِينَ
Fariḥeena
Rejoicing
بِمَآ
bimaaa
in what
ءَاتَىٰهُمُ
ʹaataahumul
bestowed them
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
مِن
miñ
of
فَضۡلِهِۦ
faḍlihee
His Bounty
وَيَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ
wa-yas-tabshiroona
and they receive good tidings
بِٱلَّذِينَ
billaẓeena
about those who
لَمۡ
lam

[with] them
مِّنۡ

[from]
خَلۡفِهِمۡ
khalfihim
(but are) left behind
أَلَّا
ʹallaa
that (there will be) no
خَوۡفٌ
khawfun
fear
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
on them
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يَحۡزَنُونَ
yaḥzanoon.
will grieve

3:171
۞يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ
Yastabshiroona
They receive good tidings
بِنِعۡمَةٖ
biniʻmatim
of Favor
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَفَضۡلٖ
wa-faḍliñw
and Bounty
وَأَنَّ
wa-ʹannal
and that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَا
laa
(does) not
يُضِيعُ
yuḍeeʻu
let go waste
أَجۡرَ
ʹajral
(the) reward
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen.
(of) the believers

3:172
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAl-laẓeenas
Those who
ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ
tajaaboo
responded
لِلَّهِ
lil-laahi
to Allah
وَٱلرَّسُولِ
war-Rasooli
and the Messenger
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مَآ
maaa
what
أَصَابَهُمُ
ʹaṣaabahumul
befell them
ٱلۡقَرۡحُۚ
q̣arḥu
the injury
لِلَّذِينَ
lil-laẓeena
for those who
أَحۡسَنُواْ
ʹaḥsanoo
did good
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
among them
وَٱتَّقَوۡاْ
wattaq̣aw
and feared Allah
أَجۡرٌ
ʹajrun
(is) a reward
عَظِيمٌ
ʻaz̤̣eem.
great

3:173
ٱلَّذِينَ
ʹAllaẓeena
Those who
قَالَ
q̣aala
said
لَهُمُ
lahumun
to them
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
[the people]
إِنَّ
ʹinnan
Indeed
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
the people
قَدۡ
q̣ad
(have) certainly
جَمَعُواْ
jamaʻoo
gathered
لَكُمۡ
lakum
against you
فَٱخۡشَوۡهُمۡ
fakhshawhum
so fear them
فَزَادَهُمۡ
fazaadahum
But it increased them
إِيمَٰنٗا
ʹeemaana:
(in) faith
وَقَالُواْ
wa-q̣aaloo
and they said
حَسۡبُنَا
ḥasbunal
Sufficient for us
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(is) Allah
وَنِعۡمَ
wa-Niʻmal
and (He is the) best
ٱلۡوَكِيلُ
Wakeel.
[the] Disposer of affairs

فَٱنقَلَبُواْ
Fañ-q̣alaboo
So they returned
بِنِعۡمَةٖ
biniʻmatim
with (the) Favor
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَفَضۡلٖ
wa-faḍlil
and Bounty
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَمۡسَسۡهُمۡ
yam-sashum
touched them
سُوٓءٞ
soooʹuñw
any harm
وَٱتَّبَعُواْ
wattabaʻoo
And they followed
رِضۡوَٰنَ
Riḍ-waanal
(the) pleasure
ٱللَّهِۗ
laah:
(of) Allah
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-laahu
and Allah
ذُو
Ẓu
(is) Possessor
فَضۡلٍ
faḍlin
(of) Bounty
عَظِيمٍ
ʻAz̤̣eem.
great

3:175
إِنَّمَا
ʹInnamaa
(It is) only
ذَٰلِكُمُ
ẓaalikumush
that
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
Shayṭaanu
the Shaitaan
يُخَوِّفُ
yukhawwifu
frightens (you)
أَوۡلِيَآءَهُۥ
ʹawliyaaaʹah.
(of) his allies
فَلَا
Falaa
So (do) not
تَخَافُوهُمۡ
takhaafoohum
fear them
وَخَافُونِ
wa-khaafooni
but fear Me
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُم
kuñtum
you are
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Muʹmineen.
