وَكَيۡفَ
wakayfa
And how (could)
تَكۡفُرُونَ
takfuruna
you disbelieve
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
while [you]
تُتۡلَىٰ
tut'la
is recited
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
upon you
ءَايَٰتُ
ayatu
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَفِيكُمۡ
wafikum
and among you
رَسُولُهُۥۗ
rasuluhu
(is) His Messenger
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَعۡتَصِم
ya'tasim
holds firmly
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
to Allah
فَقَدۡ
faqad
then surely
هُدِيَ
hudiya
he is guided
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
صِرَٰطٖ
siratin
a path
مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
mus'taqimin
straight
١٠١
3:102
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
ٱتَّقُواْ
ittaqu
Fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
حَقَّ
haqqa
(as is His) right
تُقَاتِهِۦ
tuqatihi
(that) He (should) be feared
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَمُوتُنَّ
tamutunna
die
إِلَّا
illa
except
وَأَنتُم
wa-antum
[while you]
مُّسۡلِمُونَ
mus'limuna
(as) Muslims
١٠٢
3:103
وَٱعۡتَصِمُواْ
wa-i'tasimu
And hold firmly
بِحَبۡلِ
bihabli
to (the) rope
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
جَمِيعٗا
jami'an
all together
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَفَرَّقُواْۚ
tafarraqu
be divided
وَٱذۡكُرُواْ
wa-udh'kuru
And remember
نِعۡمَتَ
ni'mata
(the) Favor
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
on you
إِذۡ
idh
when
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you were
أَعۡدَآءٗ
a'daan
enemies
فَأَلَّفَ
fa-allafa
then He made friendship
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
قُلُوبِكُمۡ
qulubikum
your hearts
فَأَصۡبَحۡتُم
fa-asbahtum
then you became
بِنِعۡمَتِهِۦٓ
bini'matihi
by His Favor
إِخۡوَٰنٗا
ikh'wanan
brothers
وَكُنتُمۡ
wakuntum
And you were
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
شَفَا
shafa
(the) brink
حُفۡرَةٖ
huf'ratin
(of) pit
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the Fire
فَأَنقَذَكُم
fa-anqadhakum
then He saved you
مِّنۡهَاۗ
min'ha
from it
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
يُبَيِّنُ
yubayyinu
makes clear
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ayatihi
His Verses
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
so that you may
تَهۡتَدُونَ
tahtaduna
(be) guided
١٠٣
3:104
وَلۡتَكُن
waltakun
And let there be
مِّنكُمۡ
minkum
among you
أُمَّةٞ
ummatun
[a] people
يَدۡعُونَ
yad'una
inviting
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلۡخَيۡرِ
al-khayri
the good
وَيَأۡمُرُونَ
wayamuruna
[and] enjoining
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bil-ma'rufi
the right
وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ
wayanhawna
and forbidding
عَنِ
ani
from
ٱلۡمُنكَرِۚ
al-munkari
the wrong
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulaika
and those
هُمُ
humu
they
ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
al-muf'lihuna
(are) the successful ones
١٠٤
3:105
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَكُونُواْ
takunu
be
كَٱلَّذِينَ
ka-alladhina
like those who
تَفَرَّقُواْ
tafarraqu
became divided
وَٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
wa-ikh'talafu
and differed
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
what
جَآءَهُمُ
jaahumu
came to them
ٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتُۚ
al-bayinatu
the clear proofs
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulaika
And those
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عَذَابٌ
adhabun
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٞ
azimun
great
١٠٥
3:106
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(On the) Day
تَبۡيَضُّ
tabyaddu
would become white
وُجُوهٞ
wujuhun
(some) faces
وَتَسۡوَدُّ
wataswaddu
and would become black
وُجُوهٞۚ
wujuhun
(some) faces
فَأَمَّا
fa-amma
As for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those whose
ٱسۡوَدَّتۡ
is'waddat
turn black
وُجُوهُهُمۡ
wujuhuhum
[their] faces
أَكَفَرۡتُم
akafartum
Did you disbelieve
بَعۡدَ
ba'da
after
إِيمَٰنِكُمۡ
imanikum
your belief
فَذُوقُواْ
fadhuqu
Then taste
ٱلۡعَذَابَ
al-'adhaba
the punishment
بِمَا
bima
for what
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used to
تَكۡفُرُونَ
takfuruna
disbelieve
١٠٦
3:107
وَأَمَّا
wa-amma
But as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those whose
ٱبۡيَضَّتۡ
ib'yaddat
turn white
وُجُوهُهُمۡ
wujuhuhum
[their] faces
فَفِي
fafi
then (they will be) in
رَحۡمَةِ
rahmati
(the) Mercy
ٱللَّهِۖ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaliduna
(will) abide forever
١٠٧
3:108
تِلۡكَ
til'ka
These
ءَايَٰتُ
ayatu
(are the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
نَتۡلُوهَا
natluha
We recite them
عَلَيۡكَ
alayka
to you
بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ
bil-haqi
in truth
وَمَا
wama
And not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
يُرِيدُ
yuridu
wants
ظُلۡمٗا
zul'man
injustice
لِّلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
lil'alamina
to the worlds
١٠٨
Page 64
3:109
وَلِلَّهِ
walillahi
And to Allah (belongs)
مَا
ma
whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَمَا
wama
and whatever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
al-ardi
the earth
وَإِلَى
wa-ila
And to
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
تُرۡجَعُ
tur'ja'u
will be returned
ٱلۡأُمُورُ
al-umuru
the matters
١٠٩
3:110
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
You are
خَيۡرَ
khayra
(the) best
أُمَّةٍ
ummatin
(of) people
أُخۡرِجَتۡ
ukh'rijat
raised
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for the mankind
تَأۡمُرُونَ
tamuruna
enjoining
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bil-ma'rufi
the right
وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ
watanhawna
and forbidding
عَنِ
ani
[from]
ٱلۡمُنكَرِ
al-munkari
the wrong
وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ
watu'minuna
and believing
بِٱللَّهِۗ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَلَوۡ
walaw
And if
ءَامَنَ
amana
believed
أَهۡلُ
ahlu
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
لَكَانَ
lakana
surely would have been
خَيۡرٗا
khayran
good
لَّهُمۚ
lahum
for them
مِّنۡهُمُ
min'humu
Among them
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
al-mu'minuna
(are) [the] believers
وَأَكۡثَرُهُمُ
wa-aktharuhumu
but most of them
ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
al-fasiquna
(are) defiantly disobedient
١١٠
3:111
لَن
lan
Never
يَضُرُّوكُمۡ
yadurrukum
will they harm you
إِلَّآ
illa
except
أَذٗىۖ
adhan
a hurt
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ
yuqatilukum
they fight you
يُوَلُّوكُمُ
yuwallukumu
they will turn (towards) you
ٱلۡأَدۡبَارَ
al-adbara
the backs
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
لَا
la
not
يُنصَرُونَ
yunsaruna
they will be helped
١١١
3:112
ضُرِبَتۡ
duribat
Struck
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
on them
ٱلذِّلَّةُ
al-dhilatu
the humiliation
أَيۡنَ
ayna
wherever
مَا
ma
that
ثُقِفُوٓاْ
thuqifu
they are found
إِلَّا
illa
except
بِحَبۡلٖ
bihablin
with a rope
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَحَبۡلٖ
wahablin
and a rope
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the people
وَبَآءُو
wabau
And they incurred
بِغَضَبٖ
bighadabin
wrath
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَضُرِبَتۡ
waduribat
and struck
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
on them
ٱلۡمَسۡكَنَةُۚ
al-maskanatu
the poverty
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
bi-annahum
(is) because
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَكۡفُرُونَ
yakfuruna
disbelieve
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biayati
in (the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَيَقۡتُلُونَ
wayaqtuluna
and they killed
ٱلۡأَنۢبِيَآءَ
al-anbiyaa
the Prophets
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
حَقّٖۚ
haqqin
right
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بِمَا
bima
(is) because
عَصَواْ
asaw
they disobeyed
وَّكَانُواْ
wakanu
and they used to
يَعۡتَدُونَ
ya'taduna
transgress
١١٢
3:113
۞لَيۡسُواْ
laysu
They are not
سَوَآءٗۗ
sawaan
(the) same
مِّنۡ
min
among
أَهۡلِ
ahli
(the) People
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
(of) the Book
أُمَّةٞ
ummatun
(is) a community
قَآئِمَةٞ
qaimatun
standing
يَتۡلُونَ
yatluna
(and) reciting
ءَايَٰتِ
ayati
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
ءَانَآءَ
anaa
(in the) hours
ٱلَّيۡلِ
al-layli
(of) the night
وَهُمۡ
wahum
and they
يَسۡجُدُونَ
yasjuduna
prostrate
١١٣
3:114
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yu'minuna
They believe
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-yawmi
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
al-akhiri
the Last
وَيَأۡمُرُونَ
wayamuruna
and they enjoin
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bil-ma'rufi
[with] the right
وَيَنۡهَوۡنَ
wayanhawna
and forbid
عَنِ
ani
[from]
ٱلۡمُنكَرِ
al-munkari
the wrong
وَيُسَٰرِعُونَ
wayusari'una
and they hasten
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِۖ
al-khayrati
the good deeds
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulaika
And those
مِنَ
mina
(are) from
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
al-salihina
the righteous
١١٤
3:115
وَمَا
wama
And whatever
يَفۡعَلُواْ
yaf 'alu
they do
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayrin
a good
فَلَن
falan
then never
يُكۡفَرُوهُۗ
yuk'faruhu
will they be denied it
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
عَلِيمُۢ
alimun
(is) All-Knowing
بِٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
bil-mutaqina
of the God-fearing
١١٥

3:116
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieved
لَن
lan
never
تُغۡنِيَ
tugh'niya
will avail
عَنۡهُمۡ
anhum
[for] them
أَمۡوَٰلُهُمۡ
amwaluhum
their wealth
وَلَآ
wala
and not
أَوۡلَٰدُهُم
awladuhum
their children
مِّنَ
mina
against
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
شَيۡـٔٗاۖ
shayan
anything
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ulaika
and those
أَصۡحَٰبُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
ٱلنَّارِۖ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
خَٰلِدُونَ
khaliduna
(will) abide forever
١١٦
3:117
مَثَلُ
mathalu
Example
مَا
ma
(of) what
يُنفِقُونَ
yunfiquna
they spend
فِي
fi
in
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
this
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
[the] life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
كَمَثَلِ
kamathali
(is) like (the) example
رِيحٖ
rihin
(of) a wind
فِيهَا
fiha
in it
صِرٌّ
sirrun
(is) frost
أَصَابَتۡ
asabat
it struck
حَرۡثَ
hartha
(the) harvest
قَوۡمٖ
qawmin
(of) a people
ظَلَمُوٓاْ
zalamu
who wronged
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
anfusahum
themselves
فَأَهۡلَكَتۡهُۚ
fa-ahlakathu
then destroyed it
وَمَا
wama
And not
ظَلَمَهُمُ
zalamahumu
(has) wronged them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
وَلَٰكِنۡ
walakin
[and] but
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
anfusahum
themselves
يَظۡلِمُونَ
yazlimuna
they wronged
١١٧
3:118
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
لَا
la
(Do) not
تَتَّخِذُواْ
tattakhidhu
take
بِطَانَةٗ
bitanatan
(as) intimates
مِّن
min
from
دُونِكُمۡ
dunikum
other than yourselves
لَا
la
not
يَأۡلُونَكُمۡ
yalunakum
they will spare you
خَبَالٗا
khabalan
(any) ruin
وَدُّواْ
waddu
They wish
مَا
ma
what
عَنِتُّمۡ
anittum
distresses you
قَدۡ
qad
Indeed
بَدَتِ
badati
(has become) apparent
ٱلۡبَغۡضَآءُ
al-baghdau
the hatred
مِنۡ
min
from
أَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ
afwahihim
their mouths
وَمَا
wama
and what
تُخۡفِي
tukh'fi
conceals
صُدُورُهُمۡ
suduruhum
their breasts
أَكۡبَرُۚ
akbaru
(is) greater
قَدۡ
qad
Certainly
بَيَّنَّا
bayyanna
We made clear
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِۖ
al-ayati
the Verses
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you were
تَعۡقِلُونَ
ta'qiluna
(to use) reason
١١٨
3:119
هَٰٓأَنتُمۡ
haantum
Lo! You are
أُوْلَآءِ
ulai
those
تُحِبُّونَهُمۡ
tuhibbunahum
you love them
وَلَا
wala
but not
يُحِبُّونَكُمۡ
yuhibbunakum
they love you
وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ
watu'minuna
and you believe
بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
bil-kitabi
in the Book
كُلِّهِۦ
kullihi
all of it
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
لَقُوكُمۡ
laqukum
they meet you
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
they say
ءَامَنَّا
amanna
We believe
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
خَلَوۡاْ
khalaw
they are alone
عَضُّواْ
addu
they bite
عَلَيۡكُمُ
alaykumu
at you
ٱلۡأَنَامِلَ
al-anamila
the finger tips
مِنَ
mina
(out) of
ٱلۡغَيۡظِۚ
al-ghayzi
[the] rage
قُلۡ
qul
Say
مُوتُواْ
mutu
Die
بِغَيۡظِكُمۡۗ
bighayzikum
in your rage
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
عَلِيمُۢ
alimun
(is) All-Knowing
بِذَاتِ
bidhati
of what
ٱلصُّدُورِ
al-suduri
(is in) the breasts
١١٩
3:120
إِن
in
If
تَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ
tamsaskum
touches you
حَسَنَةٞ
hasanatun
a good
تَسُؤۡهُمۡ
tasu'hum
it grieves them
وَإِن
wa-in
and if
تُصِبۡكُمۡ
tusib'kum
strikes you
سَيِّئَةٞ
sayyi-atun
misfortune
يَفۡرَحُواْ
yafrahu
they rejoice
بِهَاۖ
biha
at it
وَإِن
wa-in
And if
تَصۡبِرُواْ
tasbiru
you are patient
وَتَتَّقُواْ
watattaqu
and fear (Allah)
لَا
la
not
يَضُرُّكُمۡ
yadurrukum
will harm you
كَيۡدُهُمۡ
kayduhum
their plot
شَيۡـًٔاۗ
shayan
(in) anything
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
بِمَا
bima
of what
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
they do
مُحِيطٞ
muhitun
(is) All-Encompassing
١٢٠
3:121
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
غَدَوۡتَ
ghadawta
you left early morning
مِنۡ
min
from
أَهۡلِكَ
ahlika
your household
تُبَوِّئُ
tubawwi-u
to post
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
al-mu'minina
the believers
مَقَٰعِدَ
maqa'ida
(to take) positions
لِلۡقِتَالِۗ
lil'qitali
for the battle
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
سَمِيعٌ
sami'un
(is) All-Hearing
عَلِيمٌ
alimun
All-Knowing

3:122
إِذۡ
idh
When
هَمَّت
hammat
inclined
طَّآئِفَتَانِ
taifatani
two parties
مِنكُمۡ
minkum
among you
أَن
an
that
تَفۡشَلَا
tafshala
they lost heart
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
but Allah
وَلِيُّهُمَاۗ
waliyyuhuma
(was) their protector
وَعَلَى
wa'ala
And on
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ
falyatawakkali
let put (their) trust
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
al-mu'minuna
the believers
١٢٢
3:123
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
نَصَرَكُمُ
nasarakumu
helped you
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
بِبَدۡرٖ
bibadrin
in Badr
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
while you (were)
أَذِلَّةٞۖ
adhillatun
weak
فَٱتَّقُواْ
fa-ittaqu
So fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
so that you may
تَشۡكُرُونَ
tashkuruna
(be) grateful
١٢٣
3:124
إِذۡ
idh
When
تَقُولُ
taqulu
you said
لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
lil'mu'minina
to the believers
أَلَن
alan
Is it not
يَكۡفِيَكُمۡ
yakfiyakum
enough for you
أَن
an
that
يُمِدَّكُمۡ
yumiddakum
reinforces you
رَبُّكُم
rabbukum
your Lord
بِثَلَٰثَةِ
bithalathati
with three
ءَالَٰفٖ
alafin
thousand[s]
مِّنَ
mina
[of]
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
al-malaikati
[the] Angels
مُنزَلِينَ
munzalina
[the ones] sent down
١٢٤
3:125
بَلَىٰٓۚ
bala
Yes
إِن
in
if
تَصۡبِرُواْ
tasbiru
you are patient
وَتَتَّقُواْ
watattaqu
and fear (Allah)
وَيَأۡتُوكُم
wayatukum
and they come upon you
مِّن
min
[of]
فَوۡرِهِمۡ
fawrihim
suddenly
هَٰذَا
hadha
[this]
يُمۡدِدۡكُمۡ
yum'did'kum
will reinforce you
رَبُّكُم
rabbukum
your Lord
بِخَمۡسَةِ
bikhamsati
with five
ءَالَٰفٖ
alafin
thousand[s]
مِّنَ
mina
[of]
ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
al-malaikati
[the] Angels
مُسَوِّمِينَ
musawwimina
[the ones] having marks
١٢٥
3:126
وَمَا
wama
And not
جَعَلَهُ
ja'alahu
made it
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
إِلَّا
illa
except
بُشۡرَىٰ
bush'ra
(as) good news
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
وَلِتَطۡمَئِنَّ
walitatma-inna
and to reassure
قُلُوبُكُم
qulubukum
your hearts
بِهِۦۗ
bihi
with it
وَمَا
wama
And (there is) no
ٱلنَّصۡرُ
al-nasru
[the] victory
إِلَّا
illa
except
مِنۡ
min
from
عِندِ
indi
[near]
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
ٱلۡعَزِيزِ
al-'azizi
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمِ
al-hakimi
the All-Wise
١٢٦
3:127
لِيَقۡطَعَ
liyaqta'a
That He may cut off
طَرَفٗا
tarafan
a part
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُوٓاْ
kafaru
disbelieved
أَوۡ
aw
or
يَكۡبِتَهُمۡ
yakbitahum
suppress them
فَيَنقَلِبُواْ
fayanqalibu
so (that) they turn back
خَآئِبِينَ
khaibina
disappointed
١٢٧
3:128
لَيۡسَ
laysa
Not
لَكَ
laka
for you
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡأَمۡرِ
al-amri
the decision
شَيۡءٌ
shayon
(of) anything
أَوۡ
aw
whether
يَتُوبَ
yatuba
He turns
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
to them
أَوۡ
aw
or
يُعَذِّبَهُمۡ
yu'adhibahum
punishes them
فَإِنَّهُمۡ
fa-innahum
for indeed they
ظَٰلِمُونَ
zalimuna
(are) wrongdoers
١٢٨
3:129
وَلِلَّهِ
walillahi
And to Allah (belongs)
مَا
ma
what
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَمَا
wama
and what
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ
al-ardi
the earth
يَغۡفِرُ
yaghfiru
He forgives
لِمَن
liman
[for] whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
وَيُعَذِّبُ
wayu'adhibu
and punishes
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُۚ
yashau
He wills
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
غَفُورٞ
ghafurun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
rahimun
Most Merciful
١٢٩
3:130
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
لَا
la
(Do) not
تَأۡكُلُواْ
takulu
eat
ٱلرِّبَوٰٓاْ
al-riba
the usury
أَضۡعَٰفٗا
ad'afan
doubled
مُّضَٰعَفَةٗۖ
muda'afatan
multiplied
وَٱتَّقُواْ
wa-ittaqu
And fear
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
so that you may
تُفۡلِحُونَ
tuf'lihuna
(be) successful
١٣٠
3:131
وَٱتَّقُواْ
wa-ittaqu
And fear
ٱلنَّارَ
al-nara
the Fire
ٱلَّتِيٓ
allati
which
أُعِدَّتۡ
u'iddat
is prepared
لِلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lil'kafirina
for the disbelievers
١٣١
3:132
وَأَطِيعُواْ
wa-ati'u
And obey
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
وَٱلرَّسُولَ
wal-rasula
and the Messenger
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
so that you may
تُرۡحَمُونَ
tur'hamuna
receive mercy
١٣٢
Page 67
3:133
۞وَسَارِعُوٓاْ
wasari'u
And hasten
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
مَغۡفِرَةٖ
maghfiratin
forgiveness
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّكُمۡ
rabbikum
your Lord
وَجَنَّةٍ
wajannatin
and a Garden
عَرۡضُهَا
arduha
its width
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ
al-samawatu
(is like that of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ
wal-ardu
and the earth
أُعِدَّتۡ
u'iddat
prepared
لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqina
for the pious
١٣٣
3:134
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
Those who
يُنفِقُونَ
yunfiquna
spend
فِي
fi
in
ٱلسَّرَّآءِ
al-sarai
[the] ease
وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ
wal-darai
and (in) the hardship
وَٱلۡكَٰظِمِينَ
wal-kazimina
and those who restrain
ٱلۡغَيۡظَ
al-ghayza
the anger
وَٱلۡعَافِينَ
wal-'afina
and those who pardon
عَنِ
ani
[from]
ٱلنَّاسِۗ
al-nasi
the people
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
and Allah
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
loves
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
al-muh'sinina
the good-doers
١٣٤
3:135
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhina
And those
إِذَا
idha
when
فَعَلُواْ
fa'alu
they did
فَٰحِشَةً
fahishatan
immorality
أَوۡ
aw
or
ظَلَمُوٓاْ
zalamu
wronged
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
anfusahum
themselves
ذَكَرُواْ
dhakaru
they remember
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
فَٱسۡتَغۡفَرُواْ
fa-is'taghfaru
then ask forgiveness
لِذُنُوبِهِمۡ
lidhunubihim
for their sins
وَمَن
waman
and who
يَغۡفِرُ
yaghfiru
(can) forgive
ٱلذُّنُوبَ
al-dhunuba
the sins
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
وَلَمۡ
walam
And not
يُصِرُّواْ
yusirru
they persist
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
مَا
ma
what
فَعَلُواْ
fa'alu
they did
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
١٣٥
3:136
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
جَزَآؤُهُم
jazauhum
their reward
مَّغۡفِرَةٞ
maghfiratun
(is) forgiveness
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَجَنَّٰتٞ
wajannatun
and Gardens
تَجۡرِي
tajri
flows
مِن
min
from
تَحۡتِهَا
tahtiha
underneath it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ
al-anharu
the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ
khalidina
abiding forever
فِيهَاۚ
fiha
in it
وَنِعۡمَ
wani'ma
And an excellent
أَجۡرُ
ajru
reward
ٱلۡعَٰمِلِينَ
al-'amilina
(for) the (righteous) workers
١٣٦
3:137
قَدۡ
qad
Verily
خَلَتۡ
khalat
passed
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلِكُمۡ
qablikum
before you
سُنَنٞ
sunanun
situations
فَسِيرُواْ
fasiru
then travel
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
فَٱنظُرُواْ
fa-unzuru
and see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
aqibatu
(the) end
ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
al-mukadhibina
(of) the deniers
١٣٧
3:138
هَٰذَا
hadha
This
بَيَانٞ
bayanun
(is) a declaration
لِّلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for the people
وَهُدٗى
wahudan
and guidance
وَمَوۡعِظَةٞ
wamaw'izatun
and admonition
لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqina
for the God-fearing
١٣٨
3:139
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَهِنُواْ
tahinu
weaken
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَحۡزَنُواْ
tahzanu
grieve
وَأَنتُمُ
wa-antumu
and you (will be)
ٱلۡأَعۡلَوۡنَ
al-a'lawna
[the] superior
إِن
in
if
كُنتُم
kuntum
you are
مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
mu'minina
believers
١٣٩
3:140
إِن
in
If
يَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ
yamsaskum
touched you
قَرۡحٞ
qarhun
a wound
فَقَدۡ
faqad
so certainly
مَسَّ
massa
(has) touched
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
al-qawma
the people
قَرۡحٞ
qarhun
wound
مِّثۡلُهُۥۚ
mith'luhu
like it
وَتِلۡكَ
watil'ka
And this
ٱلۡأَيَّامُ
al-ayamu
[the] days
نُدَاوِلُهَا
nudawiluha
We alternate them
بَيۡنَ
bayna
among
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the people
وَلِيَعۡلَمَ
waliya'lama
[and] so that makes evident
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe[d]
وَيَتَّخِذَ
wayattakhidha
and take
مِنكُمۡ
minkum
from you
شُهَدَآءَۗ
shuhadaa
martyrs
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
love
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
١٤٠
Page 68
3:141
وَلِيُمَحِّصَ
waliyumahhisa
And so that may purify
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
believe
وَيَمۡحَقَ
wayamhaqa
and destroy
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
al-kafirina
the disbelievers
١٤١
3:142
أَمۡ
am
Or
حَسِبۡتُمۡ
hasib'tum
do you think
أَن
an
that
تَدۡخُلُواْ
tadkhulu
you will enter
ٱلۡجَنَّةَ
al-janata
Paradise
وَلَمَّا
walamma
while has not yet
يَعۡلَمِ
ya'lami
made evident
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
جَٰهَدُواْ
jahadu
strove hard
مِنكُمۡ
minkum
among you
وَيَعۡلَمَ
waya'lama
and made evident
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
al-sabirina
the steadfast
١٤٢
3:143
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you used to
تَمَنَّوۡنَ
tamannawna
wish
ٱلۡمَوۡتَ
al-mawta
(for) death
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلِ
qabli
before
أَن
an
[that]
تَلۡقَوۡهُ
talqawhu
you met it
فَقَدۡ
faqad
then indeed
رَأَيۡتُمُوهُ
ra-aytumuhu
you have seen it
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-antum
while you (were)
تَنظُرُونَ
tanzuruna
looking on
١٤٣
3:144
وَمَا
wama
And not
مُحَمَّدٌ
muhammadun
(is) Muhammad
إِلَّا
illa
except
رَسُولٞ
rasulun
a Messenger
قَدۡ
qad
certainly
خَلَتۡ
khalat
passed away
مِن
min
from
قَبۡلِهِ
qablihi
before him
ٱلرُّسُلُۚ
al-rusulu
[the] (other) Messengers
أَفَإِيْن
afa-in
So if
مَّاتَ
mata
he died
أَوۡ
aw
or
قُتِلَ
qutila
is slain
ٱنقَلَبۡتُمۡ
inqalabtum
will you turn back
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
on
أَعۡقَٰبِكُمۡۚ
a'qabikum
your heels
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَنقَلِبۡ
yanqalib
turns back
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
عَقِبَيۡهِ
aqibayhi
his heels
فَلَن
falan
then never
يَضُرَّ
yadurra
will he harm
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
شَيۡـٔٗاۚ
shayan
(in) anything
وَسَيَجۡزِي
wasayajzi
And will reward
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
al-shakirina
the grateful ones
١٤٤
3:145
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَانَ
kana
is
لِنَفۡسٍ
linafsin
for a soul
أَن
an
that
تَمُوتَ
tamuta
he dies
إِلَّا
illa
except
بِإِذۡنِ
bi-idh'ni
by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
كِتَٰبٗا
kitaban
(at a) decree
مُّؤَجَّلٗاۗ
mu-ajjalan
determined
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يُرِدۡ
yurid
desires
ثَوَابَ
thawaba
reward
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(of) the world
نُؤۡتِهِۦ
nu'tihi
We will give him
مِنۡهَا
min'ha
thereof
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
يُرِدۡ
yurid
desires
ثَوَابَ
thawaba
reward
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
(of) the Hereafter
نُؤۡتِهِۦ
nu'tihi
We will give him
مِنۡهَاۚ
min'ha
thereof
وَسَنَجۡزِي
wasanajzi
And We will reward
ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
al-shakirina
the grateful ones
١٤٥
3:146
وَكَأَيِّن
waka-ayyin
And how many
مِّن
min
from
نَّبِيّٖ
nabiyyin
a Prophet
قَٰتَلَ
qatala
fought
مَعَهُۥ
ma'ahu
with him
رِبِّيُّونَ
ribbiyyuna
(were) religious scholars
كَثِيرٞ
kathirun
many
فَمَا
fama
But not
وَهَنُواْ
wahanu
they lost heart
لِمَآ
lima
for what
أَصَابَهُمۡ
asabahum
befell them
فِي
fi
in
سَبِيلِ
sabili
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَمَا
wama
and not
ضَعُفُواْ
da'ufu
they weakened
وَمَا
wama
and not
ٱسۡتَكَانُواْۗ
is'takanu
they gave in
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
loves
ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
al-sabirina
the patient ones
١٤٦
3:147
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَانَ
kana
were
قَوۡلَهُمۡ
qawlahum
their words
إِلَّآ
illa
except
أَن
an
that
قَالُواْ
qalu
they said
رَبَّنَا
rabbana
Our Lord
ٱغۡفِرۡ
igh'fir
forgive
لَنَا
lana
for us
ذُنُوبَنَا
dhunubana
our sins
وَإِسۡرَافَنَا
wa-is'rafana
and our excesses
فِيٓ
fi
in
أَمۡرِنَا
amrina
our affairs
وَثَبِّتۡ
wathabbit
and make firm
أَقۡدَامَنَا
aqdamana
our feet
وَٱنصُرۡنَا
wa-unsur'na
and give us victory
عَلَى
ala
over
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
al-qawmi
[the people]
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
al-kafirina
the disbelievers
١٤٧
3:148
فَـَٔاتَىٰهُمُ
faatahumu
So gave them
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
ثَوَابَ
thawaba
reward
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
(in) the world
وَحُسۡنَ
wahus'na
and good
ثَوَابِ
thawabi
reward
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۗ
al-akhirati
(in) the Hereafter
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
يُحِبُّ
yuhibbu
loves
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
al-muh'sinina
the good-doers
١٤٨

3:149
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
who
ءَامَنُوٓاْ
amanu
believe
إِن
in
If
تُطِيعُواْ
tuti'u
you obey
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
كَفَرُواْ
kafaru
disbelieve
يَرُدُّوكُمۡ
yaruddukum
they will turn you back
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
on
أَعۡقَٰبِكُمۡ
a'qabikum
your heels
فَتَنقَلِبُواْ
fatanqalibu
then you will turn back
خَٰسِرِينَ
khasirina
(as) losers
١٤٩
3:150
بَلِ
bali
Nay
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ
mawlakum
(is) your Protector
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
خَيۡرُ
khayru
(is the) best
ٱلنَّٰصِرِينَ
al-nasirina
(of) the Helpers
١٥٠
