قَٰرُونَ
Q̣aaroona
Qarun
كَانَ
kaana
was
مِن
miñ
from
قَوۡمِ
q̣awmi
(the) people
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
(of) Musa
فَبَغَىٰ
fabag̣aa
but he oppressed
عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ
ʻalayhim:
[on] them
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
wa-ʹaataynaahu
And We gave him
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡكُنُوزِ
kunoozi
the treasures
مَآ
maaa
which
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
مَفَاتِحَهُۥ
mafaatiḥahoo
(the) keys of it
لَتَنُوٓأُ
latanoooʹu
would burden
بِٱلۡعُصۡبَةِ
bilʻuṣbati
a company (of men)
أُوْلِي
ʹulil
possessors of great strength
ٱلۡقُوَّةِ
q̣uwwah.
possessors of great strength
إِذۡ
ʹIẓ
When
قَالَ
q̣aala
said
لَهُۥ
lahoo
to him
قَوۡمُهُۥ
q̣awmuhoo
his people
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَفۡرَحۡۖ
tafraḥ
exult
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laah
Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
love
ٱلۡفَرِحِينَ
fariḥeen.
the exultant
٧٦
28:77
وَٱبۡتَغِ
Wabtag̣i
But seek
فِيمَآ
feemaaa
through what
ءَاتَىٰكَ
ʹaataakal
Allah has given you
ٱللَّهُ
laahud
Allah has given you
ٱلدَّارَ
Daaral
the home
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَۖ
ʹAakhirata
(of) the Hereafter
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَنسَ
tañsa
forget
نَصِيبَكَ
naṣeebaka
your share
مِنَ
minad
of
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ
dunyaa
the world
وَأَحۡسِن
wa-ʹaḥsin
And do good
كَمَآ
kamaaa
as
أَحۡسَنَ
ʹaḥsanal
Allah has been good
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah has been good
إِلَيۡكَۖ
ʹilayka
to you
وَلَا
wa-laa
And (do) not
تَبۡغِ
tabg̣il
seek
ٱلۡفَسَادَ
fasaada
corruption
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ
ʹarḍ:
the earth
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
love
ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
mufsideen.

28:78
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِنَّمَآ
ʹinnamaaa
Only
أُوتِيتُهُۥ
ʹooteetuhoo
I have been given it
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on (account)
عِلۡمٍ
ʻilmin
(of) knowledge
عِندِيٓۚ
ʻiñdee.
I have
أَوَلَمۡ
ʹAwalam
Did not
يَعۡلَمۡ
yaʻlam
he know
أَنَّ
ʹannal
that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
قَدۡ
q̣ad
indeed
أَهۡلَكَ
ʹahlaka
destroyed
مِن
miñ
before him
قَبۡلِهِۦ
q̣ablihee
before him
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡقُرُونِ
q̣urooni
the generations
مَنۡ
man
who
هُوَ
huwa
[they]
أَشَدُّ
ʹashaddu
(were) stronger
مِنۡهُ
minhu
than him
قُوَّةٗ
q̣uwwatañw
(in) strength
وَأَكۡثَرُ
waʹaks̤aru
and greater
جَمۡعٗاۚ
jamʻaa?
(in) accumulation
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And not
يُسۡـَٔلُ
yusʹalu
will be questioned
عَن
ʻañ
about
ذُنُوبِهِمُ
ẓunoobihimul
their sins
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
mujrimoon.
the criminals
٧٨
28:79
فَخَرَجَ
Fakharaja
So he went forth
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
to
قَوۡمِهِۦ
q̣awmihee
his people
فِي
fee
in
زِينَتِهِۦۖ
zeenatih.
his adornment
قَالَ
Q̣aalal
Said
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُرِيدُونَ
yureedoonal
desire
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ
Ḥayaatad
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
Dunyaa
(of) the world
يَٰلَيۡتَ
yaalayta
O! Would that
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
مِثۡلَ
miṣla
(the) like
مَآ
maaa
(of) what
أُوتِيَ
ʹootiya
has been given
قَٰرُونُ
Q̣aaroonu
(to) Qarun
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed he
لَذُو
laẓoo
(is the) owner
حَظٍّ
ḥaz̤̣z̤̣in
(of) fortune
عَظِيمٖ
ʻaz̤̣eem!
great
٧٩
28:80
وَقَالَ
Wa-q̣aalal
But said
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
أُوتُواْ
ʹootul
were given
ٱلۡعِلۡمَ
ʻilma
the knowledge
وَيۡلَكُمۡ
waylakum
Woe to you
ثَوَابُ
s̤awaabul
(The) reward
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) better
لِّمَنۡ
liman
for (he) who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believes
وَعَمِلَ
wa-ʻamila
and does
صَٰلِحٗاۚ
ṣaaliḥaa:
righteous (deeds)
وَلَا
wa-laa
And not
يُلَقَّىٰهَآ
yulaq̣q̣aahaaa
it is granted
إِلَّا
ʹillaṣ
except
ٱلصَّٰبِرُونَ
Ṣaabiroon.
(to) the patient ones
٨٠
28:81
فَخَسَفۡنَا
Fakhasafnaa
Then We caused to swallow up
بِهِۦ
bihee
him
وَبِدَارِهِ
wa-bidaarihil
and his home
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
ʹarḍ;
the earth
فَمَا
famaa
Then not
كَانَ
kaana
was
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
مِن
miñ
any
فِئَةٖ
fiʹatiñy
group
يَنصُرُونَهُۥ
yañṣuroonahoo
(to) help him
مِن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَانَ
kaana
was
مِنَ
minal
(he) of
ٱلۡمُنتَصِرِينَ
muñtaṣireen.
those who (could) defend themselves
٨١
28:82
وَأَصۡبَحَ
Wa-ʹaṣbaḥal
And began
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
تَمَنَّوۡاْ
tamannaw
(had) wished
مَكَانَهُۥ
makaanahoo
his position
بِٱلۡأَمۡسِ
bil-ʹamsi
the day before
يَقُولُونَ
yaq̣ooloona
(to) say
وَيۡكَأَنَّ
waykaʹannal
Ah! That
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يَبۡسُطُ
yabsuṭur
extends
ٱلرِّزۡقَ
rizq̣a
the provision
لِمَن
limañy
for whom
يَشَآءُ
yashaaaʹu
He wills
مِنۡ
min
of
عِبَادِهِۦ
ʻibaadihee
His slaves
وَيَقۡدِرُۖ
wa-yaq̣dir!
and restricts it
لَوۡلَآ
Law-laaa
If not
أَن
ʹam
that
مَّنَّ
mannal
Allah had favored
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah had favored
عَلَيۡنَا
ʻalaynaa
[to] us
لَخَسَفَ
lakhasafa
He would have caused it to swallow us
بِنَاۖ
binaa!
He would have caused it to swallow us
وَيۡكَأَنَّهُۥ
Waykaʹannahoo
Ah! That
لَا
laa-
not
يُفۡلِحُ
yufliḥul
will succeed
ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
kaafiroon!
the disbelievers
٨٢
28:83
تِلۡكَ
Tilkad
That
ٱلدَّارُ
Daarul
the Home
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ
ʹAakhiratu
(of) the Hereafter
نَجۡعَلُهَا
najʻaluhaa
We assign it
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
to those who
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُرِيدُونَ
yureedoona
desire
عُلُوّٗا
ʻuluwwañ
exaltedness
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
فَسَادٗاۚ
fasaadaa:
corruption
وَٱلۡعَٰقِبَةُ
wal-ʻaaq̣ibatu
And the good end
لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil-Muttaq̣een.
(is) for the righteous
٨٣
28:84
مَن
Mañ
Whoever
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
comes
بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ
bilḥasanati
with a good (deed)
فَلَهُۥ
falahoo
then for him
خَيۡرٞ
khayrum
(will be) better
مِّنۡهَاۖ
minhaa;
than it
وَمَن
wa-mañ
and whoever
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
comes
بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
bissayyiʹati
with an evil (deed)
فَلَا
falaa
then not
يُجۡزَى
yujzal
will be recompensed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
عَمِلُواْ
ʻamilus
do
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
sayyiʹaati
the evil (deeds)
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَا
maa-
what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used (to)
يَعۡمَلُونَ
yaʻmaloon.

إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
He Who
فَرَضَ
faraḍa
ordained
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalaykal
upon you
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
Q̣ur-ʹaana
the Quran
لَرَآدُّكَ
laraaadduka
(will) surely take you back
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
مَعَادٖۚ
Maʻaad.
a place of return
قُل
Q̣ur
Say
رَّبِّيٓ
Rabbeee
My Lord
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamu
(is) most knowing
مَن
mañ
(of him) who
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
comes
بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ
bil-hudaa
with the guidance
وَمَنۡ
wa-man
and who
هُوَ
huwa
he
فِي
fee
(is) in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaalim
an error
مُّبِينٖ
mubeen.
manifest
٨٥
28:86
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And not
كُنتَ
kuñta
you were
تَرۡجُوٓاْ
tarjooo
expecting
أَن
ʹañy
that
يُلۡقَىٰٓ
yulq̣aaa
would be sent down
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilaykal
to you
ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ
Kitaabu
the Book
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
رَحۡمَةٗ
Raḥmatam
(as) a mercy
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّكَۖ
Rabbika
your Lord
فَلَا
falaa
So (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takoonanna
be
ظَهِيرٗا
z̤̣aheeral
an assistant
لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lil-kaafireen.
to the disbelievers
٨٦
28:87
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (let) not
يَصُدُّنَّكَ
yaṣuddunnaka
avert you
عَنۡ
ʻan
from
ءَايَٰتِ
ʹAayaatil
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
إِذۡ
ʹiẓ
[when]
أُنزِلَتۡ
ʹuñzilat
they have been revealed
إِلَيۡكَۖ
ʹilayk:
to you
وَٱدۡعُ
wadʻu
And invite (people)
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
رَبِّكَۖ
Rabbika
your Lord
وَلَا
wa-laa
And (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takoonanna
be
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen.
the polytheists
٨٧
28:88
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَدۡعُ
tadʻu
invoke
مَعَ
maʻal
with
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
إِلَٰهًا
ʹilaahan
god
ءَاخَرَۘ
ʹaakhar.
other
لَآ
Laaa
(There is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ʹilaaha
god
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
هُوَۚ
Hoo.
Him
كُلُّ
Kullu
Every
شَيۡءٍ
shayʹin
thing
هَالِكٌ
haalikun
(will be) destroyed
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
وَجۡهَهُۥۚ
Wajhah.
His Face
لَهُ
Lahul
To Him
ٱلۡحُكۡمُ
Ḥukmu
(is) the Decision
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ʹilayhi
and to Him
تُرۡجَعُونَ
turjaʻoon.
you will be returned
