قَالَتۡ
qalat
Said
إِحۡدَىٰهُمَا
ih'dahuma
one of them
يَٰٓأَبَتِ
yaabati
O my father
ٱسۡتَـٔۡجِرۡهُۖ
is'tajir'hu
Hire him
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
خَيۡرَ
khayra
(the) best
مَنِ
mani
whom
ٱسۡتَـٔۡجَرۡتَ
is'tajarta
you (can) hire
ٱلۡقَوِيُّ
al-qawiyu
(is) the strong
ٱلۡأَمِينُ
al-aminu
the trustworthy
٢٦
28:27
قَالَ
qala
He said
إِنِّيٓ
inni
Indeed I
أُرِيدُ
uridu
[I] wish
أَنۡ
an
to
أُنكِحَكَ
unkihaka
marry you to
إِحۡدَى
ih'da
one
ٱبۡنَتَيَّ
ib'natayya
(of) my daughters
هَٰتَيۡنِ
hatayni
(of) these two
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
on
أَن
an
that
تَأۡجُرَنِي
tajurani
you serve me
ثَمَٰنِيَ
thamaniya
(for) eight
حِجَجٖۖ
hijajin
years
فَإِنۡ
fa-in
but if
أَتۡمَمۡتَ
atmamta
you complete
عَشۡرٗا
ashran
ten
فَمِنۡ
famin
then from
عِندِكَۖ
indika
you
وَمَآ
wama
And not
أُرِيدُ
uridu
I wish
أَنۡ
an
to
أَشُقَّ
ashuqqa
make it difficult
عَلَيۡكَۚ
alayka
for you
سَتَجِدُنِيٓ
satajiduni
You will find me
إِن
in
if
شَآءَ
shaa
Allah wills
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah wills
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
al-salihina
the righteous
٢٧
28:28
قَالَ
qala
He said
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
بَيۡنِي
bayni
(is) between me
وَبَيۡنَكَۖ
wabaynaka
and between you
أَيَّمَا
ayyama
Whichever
ٱلۡأَجَلَيۡنِ
al-ajalayni
(of) the two terms
قَضَيۡتُ
qadaytu
I complete
فَلَا
fala
then no
عُدۡوَٰنَ
ud'wana
injustice
عَلَيَّۖ
alayya
to me
وَٱللَّهُ
wal-lahu
and Allah
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
مَا
ma
what
نَقُولُ
naqulu
we say
وَكِيلٞ
wakilun
(is) a Witness

۞فَلَمَّا
falamma
Then when
قَضَىٰ
qada
Musa fulfilled
مُوسَى
musa
Musa fulfilled
ٱلۡأَجَلَ
al-ajala
the term
وَسَارَ
wasara
and was traveling
بِأَهۡلِهِۦٓ
bi-ahlihi
with his family
ءَانَسَ
anasa
he saw
مِن
min
in
جَانِبِ
janibi
(the) direction
ٱلطُّورِ
al-turi
(of) Mount Tur
نَارٗاۖ
naran
a fire
قَالَ
qala
He said
لِأَهۡلِهِ
li-ahlihi
to his family
ٱمۡكُثُوٓاْ
um'kuthu
Stay here
إِنِّيٓ
inni
indeed I
ءَانَسۡتُ
anastu
[I] perceive
نَارٗا
naran
a fire
لَّعَلِّيٓ
la'alli
Perhaps
ءَاتِيكُم
atikum
I will bring you
مِّنۡهَا
min'ha
from there
بِخَبَرٍ
bikhabarin
some information
أَوۡ
aw
or
جَذۡوَةٖ
jadhwatin
a burning wood
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلنَّارِ
al-nari
the fire
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
la'allakum
so that you may
تَصۡطَلُونَ
tastaluna
warm yourselves
٢٩
28:30
فَلَمَّآ
falamma
But when
أَتَىٰهَا
ataha
he came (to) it
نُودِيَ
nudiya
he was called
مِن
min
from
شَٰطِيِٕ
shati-i
(the) side
ٱلۡوَادِ
al-wadi
(of) the valley
ٱلۡأَيۡمَنِ
al-aymani
the right
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡبُقۡعَةِ
al-buq'ati
the place even
ٱلۡمُبَٰرَكَةِ
al-mubarakati
blessed
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلشَّجَرَةِ
al-shajarati
the tree
أَن
an
that
يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ
yamusa
O Musa
إِنِّيٓ
inni
Indeed
أَنَا
ana
I Am
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
رَبُّ
rabbu
(the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
٣٠
28:31
وَأَنۡ
wa-an
And [that]
أَلۡقِ
alqi
throw
عَصَاكَۚ
asaka
your staff
فَلَمَّا
falamma
But when
رَءَاهَا
raaha
he saw it
تَهۡتَزُّ
tahtazzu
moving
كَأَنَّهَا
ka-annaha
as if it
جَآنّٞ
jannun
(were) a snake
وَلَّىٰ
walla
he turned
مُدۡبِرٗا
mud'biran
(in) flight
وَلَمۡ
walam
and (did) not
يُعَقِّبۡۚ
yu'aqqib
return
يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ
yamusa
O Musa
أَقۡبِلۡ
aqbil
Draw near
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَخَفۡۖ
takhaf
fear
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed you
مِنَ
mina
(are) of
ٱلۡأٓمِنِينَ
al-aminina
the secure
٣١
28:32
ٱسۡلُكۡ
us'luk
Insert
يَدَكَ
yadaka
your hand
فِي
fi
in
جَيۡبِكَ
jaybika
your bosom
تَخۡرُجۡ
takhruj
it will come forth
بَيۡضَآءَ
baydaa
white
مِنۡ
min
without
غَيۡرِ
ghayri
without
سُوٓءٖ
suin
any harm
وَٱضۡمُمۡ
wa-ud'mum
And draw
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to yourselves
جَنَاحَكَ
janahaka
your hand
مِنَ
mina
against
ٱلرَّهۡبِۖ
al-rahbi
fear
فَذَٰنِكَ
fadhanika
So these
بُرۡهَٰنَانِ
bur'hanani
(are) two evidences
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
fir'awna
Firaun
وَمَلَإِيْهِۦٓۚ
wamala-ihi
and his chiefs
إِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
Indeed they
كَانُواْ
kanu
are
قَوۡمٗا
qawman
a people
فَٰسِقِينَ
fasiqina
defiantly disobedient
٣٢
28:33
قَالَ
qala
He said
رَبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed
قَتَلۡتُ
qataltu
I killed
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
نَفۡسٗا
nafsan
a man
فَأَخَافُ
fa-akhafu
and I fear
أَن
an
that
يَقۡتُلُونِ
yaqtuluni
they will kill me
٣٣
28:34
وَأَخِي
wa-akhi
And my brother
هَٰرُونُ
harunu
Harun
هُوَ
huwa
he
أَفۡصَحُ
afsahu
(is) more eloquent
مِنِّي
minni
than me
لِسَانٗا
lisanan
(in) speech
فَأَرۡسِلۡهُ
fa-arsil'hu
so send him
مَعِيَ
ma'iya
with me
رِدۡءٗا
rid'an
(as) a helper
يُصَدِّقُنِيٓۖ
yusaddiquni
who will confirm me
إِنِّيٓ
inni
Indeed
أَخَافُ
akhafu
I fear
أَن
an
that
يُكَذِّبُونِ
yukadhibuni
they will deny me
٣٤
28:35
قَالَ
qala
He said
سَنَشُدُّ
sanashuddu
We will strengthen
عَضُدَكَ
adudaka
your arm
بِأَخِيكَ
bi-akhika
through your brother
وَنَجۡعَلُ
wanaj'alu
and We will make
لَكُمَا
lakuma
for both of you
سُلۡطَٰنٗا
sul'tanan
an authority
فَلَا
fala
so not
يَصِلُونَ
yasiluna
they will reach
إِلَيۡكُمَا
ilaykuma
to both of you
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآۚ
biayatina
Through Our Signs
أَنتُمَا
antuma
you two
وَمَنِ
wamani
and (those) who
ٱتَّبَعَكُمَا
ittaba'akuma
follow you
ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ
al-ghalibuna
(will) be the dominant
٣٥

فَلَمَّا
falamma
But when
جَآءَهُم
jaahum
came to them
مُّوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biayatina
with Our Signs
بَيِّنَٰتٖ
bayyinatin
clear
قَالُواْ
qalu
they said
مَا
ma
Not
هَٰذَآ
hadha
(is) this
إِلَّا
illa
except
سِحۡرٞ
sih'run
a magic
مُّفۡتَرٗى
muf'taran
invented
وَمَا
wama
and not
سَمِعۡنَا
sami'na
we heard
بِهَٰذَا
bihadha
of this
فِيٓ
fi
among
ءَابَآئِنَا
abaina
our forefathers
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
al-awalina
our forefathers
٣٦
28:37
وَقَالَ
waqala
And Musa said
مُوسَىٰ
musa
And Musa said
رَبِّيٓ
rabbi
My Lord
أَعۡلَمُ
a'lamu
knows best
بِمَن
biman
of who
جَآءَ
jaa
has come
بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ
bil-huda
with [the] guidance
مِنۡ
min
from Him
عِندِهِۦ
indihi
from Him
وَمَن
waman
and who
تَكُونُ
takunu
will be
لَهُۥ
lahu
for him
عَٰقِبَةُ
aqibatu
the good end in the Hereafter
ٱلدَّارِۚ
al-dari
the good end in the Hereafter
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed
لَا
la
not
يُفۡلِحُ
yuf'lihu
will be successful
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
al-zalimuna
the wrongdoers
٣٧
28:38
وَقَالَ
waqala
And Firaun said
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
fir'awnu
And Firaun said
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
yaayyuha
O chiefs
ٱلۡمَلَأُ
al-mala-u
O chiefs
مَا
ma
Not
عَلِمۡتُ
alim'tu
I know
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ilahin
god
غَيۡرِي
ghayri
other than me
فَأَوۡقِدۡ
fa-awqid
So kindle
لِي
li
for me
يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ
yahamanu
O Haman
عَلَى
ala
Upon
ٱلطِّينِ
al-tini
the clay
فَٱجۡعَل
fa-ij'al
and make
لِّي
li
for me
صَرۡحٗا
sarhan
a lofty tower
لَّعَلِّيٓ
la'alli
so that [I]
أَطَّلِعُ
attali'u
I may look
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
at
إِلَٰهِ
ilahi
(the) God
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(of) Musa
وَإِنِّي
wa-inni
And indeed I
لَأَظُنُّهُۥ
la-azunnuhu
[I] think that he
مِنَ
mina
(is) of
ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
al-kadhibina
the liars
٣٨
28:39
وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ
wa-is'takbara
And he was arrogant
هُوَ
huwa
And he was arrogant
وَجُنُودُهُۥ
wajunuduhu
and his hosts
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
ٱلۡحَقِّ
al-haqi
right
وَظَنُّوٓاْ
wazannu
and they thought
أَنَّهُمۡ
annahum
that they
إِلَيۡنَا
ilayna
to Us
لَا
la
not
يُرۡجَعُونَ
yur'ja'una
will be returned
٣٩
28:40
فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ
fa-akhadhnahu
So We seized him
وَجُنُودَهُۥ
wajunudahu
and his hosts
فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُمۡ
fanabadhnahum
and We threw them
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡيَمِّۖ
al-yami
the sea
فَٱنظُرۡ
fa-unzur
So see
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kana
was
عَٰقِبَةُ
aqibatu
(the) end
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
(of) the wrongdoers
٤٠
28:41
وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ
waja'alnahum
And We made them
أَئِمَّةٗ
a-immatan
leaders
يَدۡعُونَ
yad'una
inviting
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلنَّارِۖ
al-nari
the Fire
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
and (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
لَا
la
not
يُنصَرُونَ
yunsaruna
they will be helped
٤١
28:42
وَأَتۡبَعۡنَٰهُمۡ
wa-atba'nahum
And We caused to follow them
فِي
fi
in
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
this
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
al-dun'ya
world
لَعۡنَةٗۖ
la'natan
a curse
وَيَوۡمَ
wayawma
and (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
هُم
hum
they
مِّنَ
mina
(will be) of
ٱلۡمَقۡبُوحِينَ
al-maqbuhina
the despised
٤٢
28:43
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
ءَاتَيۡنَا
atayna
We gave
مُوسَى
musa
Musa
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Scripture
مِنۢ
min
after [what]
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after [what]
مَآ
ma
after [what]
أَهۡلَكۡنَا
ahlakna
We had destroyed
ٱلۡقُرُونَ
al-quruna
the generations
ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
al-ula
former
بَصَآئِرَ
basaira
(as) an enlightenment
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for the mankind
وَهُدٗى
wahudan
and a guidance
وَرَحۡمَةٗ
warahmatan
and mercy
لَّعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
that they may
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkaruna
remember
٤٣

28:44
وَمَا
wama
And not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
بِجَانِبِ
bijanibi
on (the) side
ٱلۡغَرۡبِيِّ
al-gharbiyi
western
إِذۡ
idh
when
قَضَيۡنَآ
qadayna
We decreed
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
مُوسَى
musa
Musa
ٱلۡأَمۡرَ
al-amra
the Commandment
وَمَا
wama
and not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
al-shahidina
the witnesses
٤٤
28:45
وَلَٰكِنَّآ
walakinna
But We
أَنشَأۡنَا
anshana
[We] produced
قُرُونٗا
qurunan
generations
فَتَطَاوَلَ
fatatawala
and prolonged
عَلَيۡهِمُ
alayhimu
for them
ٱلۡعُمُرُۚ
al-'umuru
the life
وَمَا
wama
And not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
ثَاوِيٗا
thawiyan
a dweller
فِيٓ
fi
among
أَهۡلِ
ahli
(the) people
مَدۡيَنَ
madyana
(of) Madyan
تَتۡلُواْ
tatlu
reciting
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
to them
ءَايَٰتِنَا
ayatina
Our Verses
وَلَٰكِنَّا
walakinna
but We
كُنَّا
kunna
[We] were
مُرۡسِلِينَ
mur'silina
the Senders
٤٥
28:46
وَمَا
wama
And not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
بِجَانِبِ
bijanibi
at (the) side
ٱلطُّورِ
al-turi
(of) the Tur
إِذۡ
idh
when
نَادَيۡنَا
nadayna
We called
وَلَٰكِن
walakin
But
رَّحۡمَةٗ
rahmatan
(as) a mercy
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
لِتُنذِرَ
litundhira
so that you warn
قَوۡمٗا
qawman
a people
مَّآ
ma
not
أَتَىٰهُم
atahum
(had) come to them
مِّن
min
any
نَّذِيرٖ
nadhirin
warner
مِّن
min
before you
قَبۡلِكَ
qablika
before you
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkaruna
remember
٤٦
28:47
وَلَوۡلَآ
walawla
And if not
أَن
an
[that]
تُصِيبَهُم
tusibahum
struck them
مُّصِيبَةُۢ
musibatun
a disaster
بِمَا
bima
for what
قَدَّمَتۡ
qaddamat
had sent forth
أَيۡدِيهِمۡ
aydihim
their hands
فَيَقُولُواْ
fayaqulu
and they would say
رَبَّنَا
rabbana
Our Lord
لَوۡلَآ
lawla
Why not
أَرۡسَلۡتَ
arsalta
You sent
إِلَيۡنَا
ilayna
to us
رَسُولٗا
rasulan
a Messenger
فَنَتَّبِعَ
fanattabi'a
so we (could have) followed
ءَايَٰتِكَ
ayatika
Your Verses
وَنَكُونَ
wanakuna
and we (would) have been
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
al-mu'minina
the believers
٤٧
28:48
فَلَمَّا
falamma
But when
جَآءَهُمُ
jaahumu
came to them
ٱلۡحَقُّ
al-haqu
the truth
مِنۡ
min
from Us
عِندِنَا
indina
from Us
قَالُواْ
qalu
they said
لَوۡلَآ
lawla
Why not
أُوتِيَ
utiya
he was given
مِثۡلَ
mith'la
(the) like
مَآ
ma
(of) what
أُوتِيَ
utiya
was given
مُوسَىٰٓۚ
musa
(to) Musa
أَوَلَمۡ
awalam
Did not
يَكۡفُرُواْ
yakfuru
they disbelieve
بِمَآ
bima
in what
أُوتِيَ
utiya
was given
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(to) Musa
مِن
min
before
قَبۡلُۖ
qablu
before
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
سِحۡرَانِ
sih'rani
Two magic (works)
تَظَٰهَرَا
tazahara
supporting each other
وَقَالُوٓاْ
waqalu
And they said
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed we
بِكُلّٖ
bikullin
in all
كَٰفِرُونَ
kafiruna
(are) disbelievers
٤٨
28:49
قُلۡ
qul
Say
فَأۡتُواْ
fatu
Then bring
بِكِتَٰبٖ
bikitabin
a Book
مِّنۡ
min
from Allah
عِندِ
indi
from Allah
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
from Allah
هُوَ
huwa
which
أَهۡدَىٰ
ahda
(is) a better guide
مِنۡهُمَآ
min'huma
than both of them
أَتَّبِعۡهُ
attabi'hu
that I may follow it
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
صَٰدِقِينَ
sadiqina
truthful
٤٩
28:50
فَإِن
fa-in
But if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَسۡتَجِيبُواْ
yastajibu
they respond
لَكَ
laka
to you
فَٱعۡلَمۡ
fa-i'lam
then know
أَنَّمَا
annama
that only
يَتَّبِعُونَ
yattabi'una
they follow
أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۚ
ahwaahum
their desires
وَمَنۡ
waman
And who
أَضَلُّ
adallu
(is) more astray
مِمَّنِ
mimmani
than (one) who
ٱتَّبَعَ
ittaba'a
follows
هَوَىٰهُ
hawahu
his own desire
بِغَيۡرِ
bighayri
without
هُدٗى
hudan
guidance
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
Allah
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
لَا
la
(does) not
يَهۡدِي
yahdi
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
al-qawma
the people
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
٥٠
