27:1طسٓۚta-seenTa Seenتِلۡكَtil'kaTheseءَايَٰتُayatu(are the) Versesٱلۡقُرۡءَانِal-qur'ani(of) the Quranوَكِتَابٖwakitabinand a Bookمُّبِينٍmubininclear١
27:2هُدٗىhudanA guidanceوَبُشۡرَىٰwabush'raand glad tidingsلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَlil'mu'mininafor the believers٢
27:3ٱلَّذِينَalladhinaThose whoيُقِيمُونَyuqimunaestablishٱلصَّلَوٰةَal-salatathe prayerوَيُؤۡتُونَwayu'tunaand giveٱلزَّكَوٰةَal-zakatazakahوَهُمwahumand theyبِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِbil-akhiratiin the Hereafterهُمۡhum[they]يُوقِنُونَyuqinunabelieve with certainty٣
27:4إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoلَاla(do) notيُؤۡمِنُونَyu'minunabelieveبِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِbil-akhiratiin the HereafterزَيَّنَّاzayyannaWe have made fair-seemingلَهُمۡlahumto themأَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡa'malahumtheir deedsفَهُمۡfahumso theyيَعۡمَهُونَya'mahunawander blindly٤
27:5أُوْلَٰٓئِكَulaikaThoseٱلَّذِينَalladhina(are) the onesلَهُمۡlahumfor themسُوٓءُsuu(is) an evilٱلۡعَذَابِal-'adhabi[the] punishmentوَهُمۡwahumand theyفِيfiinٱلۡأٓخِرَةِal-akhiratithe Hereafterهُمُhumu[they]ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَal-akhsaruna(will be) the greatest losers٥
27:6وَإِنَّكَwa-innakaAnd indeed youلَتُلَقَّىlatulaqqasurely receiveٱلۡقُرۡءَانَal-qur'anathe Quranمِنminfrom [near]لَّدُنۡladunfrom [near]حَكِيمٍhakiminthe All-Wiseعَلِيمٍaliminthe All-Knower٦
27:7إِذۡidhWhenقَالَqalasaidمُوسَىٰmusaMusaلِأَهۡلِهِۦٓli-ahlihito his familyإِنِّيٓinniIndeed Iءَانَسۡتُanastuperceiveنَارٗاnarana fireسَـَٔاتِيكُمsaatikumI will bring youمِّنۡهَاmin'hafrom itبِخَبَرٍbikhabarinsome informationأَوۡaworءَاتِيكُمatikumI will bring youبِشِهَابٖbishihabina torchقَبَسٖqabasinburningلَّعَلَّكُمۡla'allakumso that you mayتَصۡطَلُونَtastalunawarm yourselves٧
27:8فَلَمَّاfalammaBut whenجَآءَهَاjaahahe came to itنُودِيَnudiyahe was calledأَنۢan[that]بُورِكَburikaBlessed isمَنmanwhoفِيfi(is) atٱلنَّارِal-narithe fireوَمَنۡwamanand whoeverحَوۡلَهَاhawlaha(is) around itوَسُبۡحَٰنَwasub'hanaAnd glory beٱللَّهِal-lahi(to) Allahرَبِّrabbi(the) Lordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَal-'alamina(of) the worlds٨
27:9يَٰمُوسَىٰٓyamusaO MusaإِنَّهُۥٓinnahuIndeedأَنَاanaI Amٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahٱلۡعَزِيزُal-'azizuthe All-Mightyٱلۡحَكِيمُal-hakimuthe All-Wise٩
27:10وَأَلۡقِwa-alqiAnd Throwعَصَاكَۚasakayour staffفَلَمَّاfalammaBut whenرَءَاهَاraahahe saw itتَهۡتَزُّtahtazzumovingكَأَنَّهَاka-annahaas if itجَآنّٞjannun(were) a snakeوَلَّىٰwallahe turned backمُدۡبِرٗاmud'biran(in) flightوَلَمۡwalamand (did) notيُعَقِّبۡۚyu'aqqiblook backيَٰمُوسَىٰyamusaO Musaلَاla(Do) notتَخَفۡtakhaffearإِنِّيinniIndeed [I]لَاla(do) notيَخَافُyakhafufearلَدَيَّladayya(in) My presenceٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَal-mur'salunathe Messengers١٠
27:11إِلَّاillaExceptمَنmanwhoظَلَمَzalamawrongsثُمَّthummathenبَدَّلَbaddalasubstitutesحُسۡنَۢاhus'nangoodبَعۡدَba'daafterسُوٓءٖsuinevilفَإِنِّيfa-innithen indeed I AmغَفُورٞghafurunOft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٞrahimunMost Merciful١١
27:12وَأَدۡخِلۡwa-adkhilAnd enterيَدَكَyadakayour handفِيfiintoجَيۡبِكَjaybikayour bosomتَخۡرُجۡtakhrujit will come forthبَيۡضَآءَbaydaawhiteمِنۡminwithoutغَيۡرِghayriwithoutسُوٓءٖۖsuinharmفِيfi(These are) amongتِسۡعِtis'inineءَايَٰتٍayatinsignsإِلَىٰilatoفِرۡعَوۡنَfir'awnaFiraunوَقَوۡمِهِۦٓۚwaqawmihiand his peopleإِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed theyكَانُواْkanuareقَوۡمٗاqawmana peopleفَٰسِقِينَfasiqinadefiantly disobedient١٢
27:13فَلَمَّاfalammaBut whenجَآءَتۡهُمۡjaathumcame to themءَايَٰتُنَاayatunaOur Signsمُبۡصِرَةٗmub'siratanvisibleقَالُواْqaluthey saidهَٰذَاhadhaThisسِحۡرٞsih'run(is) a magicمُّبِينٞmubinunmanifest١٣
27:14وَجَحَدُواْwajahaduAnd they rejectedبِهَاbihathemوَٱسۡتَيۡقَنَتۡهَآwa-is'tayqanathathough were convinced with them (signs)أَنفُسُهُمۡanfusuhumthemselvesظُلۡمٗاzul'man(out of) injusticeوَعُلُوّٗاۚwa'uluwwanand haughtinessفَٱنظُرۡfa-unzurSo seeكَيۡفَkayfahowكَانَkanawasعَٰقِبَةُaqibatu(the) endٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَal-muf'sidina(of) the corrupters١٤
27:15وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd verilyءَاتَيۡنَاataynaWe gaveدَاوُۥدَdawudaDawoodوَسُلَيۡمَٰنَwasulaymanaand Sulaimanعِلۡمٗاۖil'manknowledgeوَقَالَاwaqalaand they saidٱلۡحَمۡدُal-hamduPraise beلِلَّهِlillahito Allahٱلَّذِيalladhithe One Whoفَضَّلَنَاfaddalanahas favored usعَلَىٰalaoverكَثِيرٖkathirinmanyمِّنۡminofعِبَادِهِibadihiHis servantsٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَal-mu'mininathe believers١٥
27:16وَوَرِثَwawarithaAnd inheritedسُلَيۡمَٰنُsulaymanuSulaimanدَاوُۥدَۖdawudaDawoodوَقَالَwaqalaAnd he saidيَٰٓأَيُّهَاyaayyuhaOٱلنَّاسُal-nasupeopleعُلِّمۡنَاullim'naWe have been taughtمَنطِقَmantiqa(the) languageٱلطَّيۡرِal-tayri(of) the birdsوَأُوتِينَاwautinaand we have been givenمِنminfromكُلِّkullieveryشَيۡءٍۖshayinthingإِنَّinnaIndeedهَٰذَاhadhathisلَهُوَlahuwasurely itٱلۡفَضۡلُal-fadlu(is) the favorٱلۡمُبِينُal-mubinuevident١٦
27:17وَحُشِرَwahushiraAnd were gatheredلِسُلَيۡمَٰنَlisulaymanafor Sulaimanجُنُودُهُۥjunuduhuhis hostsمِنَminaofٱلۡجِنِّal-jinijinnوَٱلۡإِنسِwal-insiand the menوَٱلطَّيۡرِwal-tayriand the birdsفَهُمۡfahumand theyيُوزَعُونَyuza'una(were) set in rows١٧
27:18حَتَّىٰٓhattaUntilإِذَآidhawhenأَتَوۡاْatawthey cameعَلَىٰalatoوَادِwadi(the) valleyٱلنَّمۡلِal-namli(of) the antsقَالَتۡqalatsaidنَمۡلَةٞnamlatunan antيَٰٓأَيُّهَاyaayyuhaOٱلنَّمۡلُal-namluantsٱدۡخُلُواْud'khuluEnterمَسَٰكِنَكُمۡmasakinakumyour dwellingsلَاlalest not crush youيَحۡطِمَنَّكُمۡyahtimannakumlest not crush youسُلَيۡمَٰنُsulaymanuSulaimanوَجُنُودُهُۥwajunuduhuand his hostsوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyلَاla(do) not perceiveيَشۡعُرُونَyash'uruna(do) not perceive١٨
27:19فَتَبَسَّمَfatabassamaSo he smiled ضَاحِكٗاdahikanlaughingمِّنminatقَوۡلِهَاqawlihaher speechوَقَالَwaqalaand saidرَبِّrabbiMy Lordأَوۡزِعۡنِيٓawzi'niGrant me (the) powerأَنۡanthatأَشۡكُرَashkuraI may thank Youنِعۡمَتَكَni'mataka(for) Your Favorٱلَّتِيٓallatiwhichأَنۡعَمۡتَan'amtaYou have bestowedعَلَيَّalayyaon meوَعَلَىٰwa'alaand onوَٰلِدَيَّwalidayyamy parentsوَأَنۡwa-anand thatأَعۡمَلَa'malaI may doصَٰلِحٗاsalihanrighteous (deeds)تَرۡضَىٰهُtardahuthat will please Youوَأَدۡخِلۡنِيwa-adkhil'niAnd admit meبِرَحۡمَتِكَbirahmatikaby Your MercyفِيfiamongعِبَادِكَibadikaYour slavesٱلصَّٰلِحِينَal-salihinarighteous١٩
27:20وَتَفَقَّدَwatafaqqadaAnd he inspectedٱلطَّيۡرَal-tayrathe birdsفَقَالَfaqalaand saidمَاmaWhyلِيَliyaWhyلَآlanotأَرَىaraI seeٱلۡهُدۡهُدَal-hud'hudathe hoopoeأَمۡamorكَانَkanais heمِنَminafromٱلۡغَآئِبِينَal-ghaibinathe absent٢٠
27:21لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥla-u'adhibannahuI will surely punish himعَذَابٗاadhaban(with) a punishmentشَدِيدًاshadidansevereأَوۡaworلَأَاْذۡبَحَنَّهُۥٓlaadh'bahannahuI will surely slaughter himأَوۡawunlessلَيَأۡتِيَنِّيlayatiyannihe brings meبِسُلۡطَٰنٖbisul'tanina reasonمُّبِينٖmubininclear٢١
27:22فَمَكَثَfamakathaSo he stayedغَيۡرَghayranotبَعِيدٖba'idinlongفَقَالَfaqalaand he saidأَحَطتُahattuI have encompassedبِمَاbimathat whichلَمۡlamnotتُحِطۡtuhityou have encompassedبِهِۦbihiitوَجِئۡتُكَwaji'tukaand I have come to youمِنminfromسَبَإِۭsaba-inSabaبِنَبَإٖbinaba-inwith newsيَقِينٍyaqinincertain٢٢
27:23إِنِّيinniIndeed Iوَجَدتُّwajadttufoundٱمۡرَأَةٗim'ra-atana womanتَمۡلِكُهُمۡtamlikuhumruling themوَأُوتِيَتۡwautiyatand she has been givenمِنminofكُلِّkullieveryشَيۡءٖshayinthingوَلَهَاwalahaand for herعَرۡشٌarshun(is) a throneعَظِيمٞazimungreat٢٣
27:24وَجَدتُّهَاwajadttuhaAnd I found herوَقَوۡمَهَاwaqawmahaand her peopleيَسۡجُدُونَyasjudunaprostratingلِلشَّمۡسِlilshamsito the sunمِنmininstead of Allahدُونِduniinstead of Allahٱللَّهِal-lahiinstead of Allahوَزَيَّنَwazayyanaand has made fair-seemingلَهُمُlahumuto themٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُal-shaytanuthe Shaitaanأَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡa'malahumtheir deedsفَصَدَّهُمۡfasaddahumand averted themعَنِanifromٱلسَّبِيلِal-sabilithe Wayفَهُمۡfahumso theyلَاla(are) notيَهۡتَدُونَyahtadunaguided٢٤
27:25أَلَّاۤallaThat notيَسۡجُدُواْۤyasjuduthey prostrateلِلَّهِlillahito Allahٱلَّذِيalladhithe One Whoيُخۡرِجُyukh'rijubrings forthٱلۡخَبۡءَal-khaba-athe hiddenفِيfiinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ardiand the earthوَيَعۡلَمُwaya'lamuand knowsمَاmawhatتُخۡفُونَtukh'funayou concealوَمَاwamaand whatتُعۡلِنُونَtu'linunayou declare٢٥
27:26ٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahلَآla(there is) noإِلَٰهَilahagodإِلَّاillabutهُوَhuwaHeرَبُّrabbu(the) Lordٱلۡعَرۡشِal-'arshi(of) the Throneٱلۡعَظِيمِ۩al-'azimithe Great٢٦
27:27۞قَالَqalaHe saidسَنَنظُرُsananzuruWe will seeأَصَدَقۡتَasadaqtawhether you speak (the) truthأَمۡamorكُنتَkuntayou areمِنَminaofٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَal-kadhibinathe liars٢٧
27:28ٱذۡهَبidh'habGoبِّكِتَٰبِيbikitabiwith my letterهَٰذَاhadhathisفَأَلۡقِهۡfa-alqihand deliver itإِلَيۡهِمۡilayhimto themثُمَّthummaThenتَوَلَّtawallaturn awayعَنۡهُمۡanhumfrom themفَٱنظُرۡfa-unzurand seeمَاذَاmadhawhatيَرۡجِعُونَyarji'unathey return٢٨
27:29قَالَتۡqalatShe saidيَٰٓأَيُّهَاyaayyuhaOٱلۡمَلَؤُاْal-mala-uchiefsإِنِّيٓinniIndeed [I]أُلۡقِيَul'qiyais deliveredإِلَيَّilayyato meكِتَٰبٞkitabuna letterكَرِيمٌkarimunnoble٢٩
27:30إِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed itمِنmin(is) fromسُلَيۡمَٰنَsulaymanaSulaimanوَإِنَّهُۥwa-innahuand indeed it (is)بِسۡمِbis'miIn the nameٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِal-rahmanithe Most Graciousٱلرَّحِيمِal-rahimithe Most Merciful٣٠
27:31أَلَّاallaThat notتَعۡلُواْta'luexalt yourselvesعَلَيَّalayyaagainst meوَأۡتُونِيwatunibut come to meمُسۡلِمِينَmus'limina(in) submission٣١
27:32قَالَتۡqalatShe saidيَٰٓأَيُّهَاyaayyuhaOٱلۡمَلَؤُاْal-mala-uchiefsأَفۡتُونِيaftuniAdvise meفِيٓfiinأَمۡرِيamrimy affairمَاmaNotكُنتُkuntuI would beقَاطِعَةًqati'atanthe one to decideأَمۡرًاamranany matterحَتَّىٰhattauntilتَشۡهَدُونِtashhaduniyou are present with me٣٢
27:33قَالُواْqaluThey saidنَحۡنُnahnuWeأُوْلُواْulu(are) possessorsقُوَّةٖquwwatin(of) strengthوَأُوْلُواْwa-uluand possessorsبَأۡسٖbasin(of) mightشَدِيدٖshadidingreatوَٱلۡأَمۡرُwal-amruand the commandإِلَيۡكِilayki(is) up to youفَٱنظُرِيfa-unzuriso lookمَاذَاmadhawhatتَأۡمُرِينَtamurinayou will command٣٣
27:34قَالَتۡqalatShe saidإِنَّinnaIndeedٱلۡمُلُوكَal-mulukathe kingsإِذَاidhawhenدَخَلُواْdakhaluthey enterقَرۡيَةًqaryatana townأَفۡسَدُوهَاafsaduhathey ruin itوَجَعَلُوٓاْwaja'aluand makeأَعِزَّةَa'izzata(the) most honorableأَهۡلِهَآahliha(of) its peopleأَذِلَّةٗۚadhillatan(the) lowestوَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhalikaAnd thusيَفۡعَلُونَyaf 'alunathey do٣٤
27:35وَإِنِّيwa-inniBut indeed I amمُرۡسِلَةٌmur'silatungoing to sendإِلَيۡهِمilayhimto themبِهَدِيَّةٖbihadiyyatina giftفَنَاظِرَةُۢfanaziratunand seeبِمَbimawith whatيَرۡجِعُyarji'ureturnٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَal-mur'salunathe messengers٣٥
27:36فَلَمَّاfalammaSo whenجَآءَjaacameسُلَيۡمَٰنَsulaymana(to) Sulaimanقَالَqalahe saidأَتُمِدُّونَنِatumiddunaniWill you provide meبِمَالٖbimalinwith wealthفَمَآfamaBut whatءَاتَىٰنِۦَataniyaAllah has given meٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah has given meخَيۡرٞkhayrun(is) betterمِّمَّآmimmathan whatءَاتَىٰكُمۚatakumHe has given youبَلۡbalNayأَنتُمantumyouبِهَدِيَّتِكُمۡbihadiyyatikumin your giftتَفۡرَحُونَtafrahunarejoice٣٦
27:37ٱرۡجِعۡir'ji'Returnإِلَيۡهِمۡilayhimto themفَلَنَأۡتِيَنَّهُمfalanatiyannahumsurely we will come to themبِجُنُودٖbijunudinwith hostsلَّاlanotقِبَلَqibala(is) resistanceلَهُمlahumfor themبِهَاbihaof itوَلَنُخۡرِجَنَّهُمwalanukh'rijannahumand surely we will drive them outمِّنۡهَآmin'hafrom thereأَذِلَّةٗadhillatan(in) humiliationوَهُمۡwahumand theyصَٰغِرُونَsaghiruna(will be) abased٣٧
27:38قَالَqalaHe saidيَٰٓأَيُّهَاyaayyuhaOٱلۡمَلَؤُاْal-mala-uchiefsأَيُّكُمۡayyukumWhich of youيَأۡتِينِيyatiniwill bring meبِعَرۡشِهَاbi'arshihaher throneقَبۡلَqablabeforeأَنanthatيَأۡتُونِيyatunithey come to meمُسۡلِمِينَmus'limina(in) submission٣٨
27:39قَالَqalaSaidعِفۡرِيتٞif'rituna strong oneمِّنَminaofٱلۡجِنِّal-jinithe jinnأَنَا۠anaIءَاتِيكَatikawill bring it to youبِهِۦbihiwill bring it to youقَبۡلَqablabeforeأَنan[that]تَقُومَtaqumayou riseمِنminfromمَّقَامِكَۖmaqamikayour placeوَإِنِّيwa-inniAnd indeed I amعَلَيۡهِalayhifor itلَقَوِيٌّlaqawiyyunsurely strongأَمِينٞaminuntrustworthy٣٩
27:40قَالَqalaSaidٱلَّذِيalladhione whoعِندَهُۥindahuwith himعِلۡمٞil'mun(was) knowledgeمِّنَminaofٱلۡكِتَٰبِal-kitabithe Scriptureأَنَا۠anaIءَاتِيكَatikawill bring it to youبِهِۦbihiwill bring it to youقَبۡلَqablabeforeأَنan[that]يَرۡتَدَّyartaddareturnsإِلَيۡكَilaykato youطَرۡفُكَۚtarfukayour glanceفَلَمَّاfalammaThen whenرَءَاهُraahuhe saw itمُسۡتَقِرًّاmus'taqirranplacedعِندَهُۥindahubefore himقَالَqalahe saidهَٰذَاhadhaThisمِنmin(is) fromفَضۡلِfadli(the) Favorرَبِّيrabbi(of) my Lordلِيَبۡلُوَنِيٓliyabluwanito test meءَأَشۡكُرُa-ashkuruwhether I am gratefulأَمۡamorأَكۡفُرُۖakfuruI am ungratefulوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverشَكَرَshakara(is) gratefulفَإِنَّمَاfa-innamathen onlyيَشۡكُرُyashkuruhe is gratefulلِنَفۡسِهِۦۖlinafsihifor his own soulوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverكَفَرَkafara(is) ungratefulفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedرَبِّيrabbimy Lordغَنِيّٞghaniyyun(is) Self-sufficientكَرِيمٞkarimunNoble٤٠
27:41قَالَqalaHe saidنَكِّرُواْnakkiruDisguiseلَهَاlahafor herعَرۡشَهَاarshahaher throneنَنظُرۡnanzurwe will seeأَتَهۡتَدِيٓatahtadiwhether she will be guidedأَمۡamorتَكُونُtakunuwill beمِنَminaofٱلَّذِينَalladhinathose whoلَاlaare not guidedيَهۡتَدُونَyahtadunaare not guided٤١
27:42فَلَمَّاfalammaSo whenجَآءَتۡjaatshe cameقِيلَqilait was saidأَهَٰكَذَاahakadhaIs like thisعَرۡشُكِۖarshukiyour throneقَالَتۡqalatShe saidكَأَنَّهُۥka-annahuIt is likeهُوَۚhuwaitوَأُوتِينَاwautinaAnd we were givenٱلۡعِلۡمَal-'il'mathe knowledgeمِنminbefore herقَبۡلِهَاqablihabefore herوَكُنَّاwakunnaand we have beenمُسۡلِمِينَmus'liminaMuslims٤٢
27:43وَصَدَّهَاwasaddahaAnd has averted herمَاmawhatكَانَتkanatshe used (to)تَّعۡبُدُta'buduworshipمِنminbesidesدُونِdunibesidesٱللَّهِۖal-lahiAllahإِنَّهَاinnahaIndeed sheكَانَتۡkanatwasمِنminfromقَوۡمٖqawmina peopleكَٰفِرِينَkafirinawho disbelieve٤٣
27:44قِيلَqilaIt was saidلَهَاlahato herٱدۡخُلِيud'khuliEnterٱلصَّرۡحَۖal-sarhathe palaceفَلَمَّاfalammaThen whenرَأَتۡهُra-athushe saw itحَسِبَتۡهُhasibathushe thought itلُجَّةٗlujjatan(was) a poolوَكَشَفَتۡwakashafatand she uncoveredعَنan[on]سَاقَيۡهَاۚsaqayhaher shinsقَالَqalaHe saidإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed itصَرۡحٞsarhun(is) a palaceمُّمَرَّدٞmumarradunmade smoothمِّنminofقَوَارِيرَۗqawariraglassقَالَتۡqalatShe saidرَبِّrabbiMy Lordإِنِّيinniindeed Iظَلَمۡتُzalamtu[I] have wrongedنَفۡسِيnafsimyselfوَأَسۡلَمۡتُwa-aslamtuand I submitمَعَma'awithسُلَيۡمَٰنَsulaymanaSulaimanلِلَّهِlillahito Allahرَبِّrabbi(the) Lordٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَal-'alamina(of) the worlds٤٤
27:45وَلَقَدۡwalaqadAnd certainlyأَرۡسَلۡنَآarsalnaWe sentإِلَىٰilatoثَمُودَthamudaThamudأَخَاهُمۡakhahumtheir brotherصَٰلِحًاsalihanSalihأَنِanithatٱعۡبُدُواْu'buduWorshipٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahفَإِذَاfa-idhaThen beholdهُمۡhumTheyفَرِيقَانِfariqani(became) two partiesيَخۡتَصِمُونَyakhtasimunaquarreling٤٥
27:46قَالَqalaHe saidيَٰقَوۡمِyaqawmiO my peopleلِمَlimaWhyتَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَtasta'jiluna(do) you seek to hastenبِٱلسَّيِّئَةِbil-sayi-atithe evilقَبۡلَqablabeforeٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖal-hasanatithe goodلَوۡلَاlawlaWhy notتَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَtastaghfirunayou ask forgivenessٱللَّهَal-laha(of) Allahلَعَلَّكُمۡla'allakumso that you mayتُرۡحَمُونَtur'hamunareceive mercy٤٦
27:47قَالُواْqaluThey saidٱطَّيَّرۡنَاittayyarnaWe consider you a bad omenبِكَbikaWe consider you a bad omenوَبِمَنwabimanand thoseمَّعَكَۚma'akawith youقَالَqalaHe saidطَٰٓئِرُكُمۡtairukumYour bad omenعِندَinda(is) withٱللَّهِۖal-lahiAllahبَلۡbalNayأَنتُمۡantumyouقَوۡمٞqawmun(are) a peopleتُفۡتَنُونَtuf'tanunabeing tested٤٧
27:48وَكَانَwakanaAnd wereفِيfiinٱلۡمَدِينَةِal-madinatithe cityتِسۡعَةُtis'atunineرَهۡطٖrahtinfamily headsيُفۡسِدُونَyuf'sidunathey were spreading corruptionفِيfiinٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe landوَلَاwalaand notيُصۡلِحُونَyus'lihunareforming٤٨
27:49قَالُواْqaluThey saidتَقَاسَمُواْtaqasamuSwear to each otherبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiby Allahلَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥlanubayyitannahusurely we will attack him by nightوَأَهۡلَهُۥwa-ahlahuand his familyثُمَّthummaThenلَنَقُولَنَّlanaqulannawe will surely sayلِوَلِيِّهِۦliwaliyyihito his heirمَاmaNotشَهِدۡنَاshahid'nawe witnessedمَهۡلِكَmahlika(the) destructionأَهۡلِهِۦahlihi(of) his familyوَإِنَّاwa-innaand indeed weلَصَٰدِقُونَlasadiquna(are) surely truthful٤٩
27:50وَمَكَرُواْwamakaruSo they plottedمَكۡرٗاmakrana plotوَمَكَرۡنَاwamakarnaand We plannedمَكۡرٗاmakrana planوَهُمۡwahumwhile theyلَاla(did) notيَشۡعُرُونَyash'urunaperceive٥٠
