23:76
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And verily
أَخَذۡنَٰهُم
ʹakhaẓnaahum̃
We seized them
بِٱلۡعَذَابِ
bilʻAẓaabi
with the punishment
فَمَا
famas
but not
ٱسۡتَكَانُواْ
takaanoo
they submit
لِرَبِّهِمۡ
li-Rabbihim
to their Lord
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
yataḍarraʻoon,
they supplicate humbly
٧٦
23:77
حَتَّىٰٓ
Ḥattaaa
Until
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
فَتَحۡنَا
fataḥnaa
We opened
عَلَيۡهِم
ʻalayhim
for them
بَابٗا
baabañ
a gate
ذَا
ẓaa
of a punishment
عَذَابٖ
ʻaẓaabiñ
of a punishment
شَدِيدٍ
shadeedin
severe
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
behold
هُمۡ
hum
They
فِيهِ
feehi
in it
مُبۡلِسُونَ
mublisoon!
(will be in) despair
٧٧
23:78
وَهُوَ
Wa-Huwal
And He
ٱلَّذِيٓ
laẓeee
(is) the One Who
أَنشَأَ
ʹañshaʹa
produced
لَكُمُ
lakumus
for you
ٱلسَّمۡعَ
samʻa
the hearing
وَٱلۡأَبۡصَٰرَ
wal-ʹabṣaara
and the sight
وَٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةَۚ
wal-ʹafʹidah:
and the feeling
قَلِيلٗا
q̣aleelam
little
مَّا
maa
(is) what
تَشۡكُرُونَ
tashkuroon!
you give thanks
٧٨
23:79
وَهُوَ
Wa-Huwal
And He
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
ذَرَأَكُمۡ
ẓaraʹakum
multiplied you
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ʹilayhi
and to Him
تُحۡشَرُونَ
tuḥsharoon.
you will be gathered
٧٩
23:80
وَهُوَ
Wa-Huwal
And He
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(is) the One Who
يُحۡيِۦ
yuḥyee
gives life
وَيُمِيتُ
wa-yumeetu
and causes death
وَلَهُ
wa-lahukh
and for Him
ٱخۡتِلَٰفُ
tilaaful
(is the) alternation
ٱلَّيۡلِ
layli
(of) the night
وَٱلنَّهَارِۚ
wannahaar:
and the day
أَفَلَا
ʹafalaa
Then will not
تَعۡقِلُونَ
taʻq̣iloon?
you reason
٨٠
23:81
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
قَالُواْ
q̣aaloo
they say
مِثۡلَ
mis̤la
(the) like
مَا
maa-
(of) what
قَالَ
q̣aalal
said
ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ
ʹAwwaloon.
the former (people)
٨١
23:82
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
أَءِذَا
ʹa-ʹiẓaa
What! When
مِتۡنَا
mitnaa
we are dead
وَكُنَّا
wa-kunnaa
and become
تُرَابٗا
turaabañw
dust
وَعِظَٰمًا
waʻiz̤̣aaman
and bones
أَءِنَّا
ʹa-ʹinnaa
would we
لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ
lamabʻoos̤oon?
surely be resurrected
٨٢
23:83
لَقَدۡ
Laq̣ad
Verily
وُعِدۡنَا
wuʻidnaa
we have been promised
نَحۡنُ
naḥnu
[we]
وَءَابَآؤُنَا
wa-ʹaabaaaʹunaa
and our forefathers
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
مِن
miñ
before
قَبۡلُ
q̣ablu
before
إِنۡ
ʹin
not
هَٰذَآ
haaẓa
(is) this
إِلَّآ
illaaa
but
أَسَٰطِيرُ
ʹasaaṭeerul
(the) tales
ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
ʹawwaleen!
(of) the former (people)
٨٣
23:84
قُل
Q̣ul
Say
لِّمَنِ
limanil
To whom (belongs)
ٱلۡأَرۡضُ
ʹarḍu
the earth
وَمَن
wa-mañ
and whoever
فِيهَآ
feehaaa
(is) in it
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoon?
know
٨٤
23:85
سَيَقُولُونَ
Sayaq̣ooloona
They will say
لِلَّهِۚ
lillaah!
To Allah
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
أَفَلَا
ʹafalaa
Then will not
تَذَكَّرُونَ
taẓakkaroon?
you remember
٨٥
23:86
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
مَن
mar
Who
رَّبُّ
Rabbus
(is the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaatis
(of) the seven heavens
ٱلسَّبۡعِ
sabʻi
(of) the seven heavens
وَرَبُّ
wa-Rabbul
and (the) Lord
ٱلۡعَرۡشِ
ʻArshil
(of) the Throne
ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
ʻAz̤̣eem?
the Great
٨٦
23:87
سَيَقُولُونَ
Sayaq̣ooloona
They will say
لِلَّهِۚ
lillaah.
Allah
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
أَفَلَا
ʹafalaa
Then will not
تَتَّقُونَ
tattaq̣oon?
you fear (Him)
٨٧
23:88
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
مَنۢ
mam
Who is (it)
بِيَدِهِۦ
biyadihee
in Whose Hand(s)
مَلَكُوتُ
Malakootu
(is the) dominion
كُلِّ
kulli
(of) all
شَيۡءٖ
shayʹiñw
things
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwa
and He
يُجِيرُ
yujeeru
protects
وَلَا
wa-laa
and no (one)
يُجَارُ
yujaaru
(can) be protected
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
against Him
إِن
ʹiñ
If
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoon?
know
٨٨
23:89
سَيَقُولُونَ
Sayaq̣ooloona
They will say
لِلَّهِۚ
lillaah.
Allah
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
فَأَنَّىٰ
faʹannaa
Then how
تُسۡحَرُونَ
tus-ḥaroon?
are you deluded
٨٩

23:90
بَلۡ
Bal
Nay
أَتَيۡنَٰهُم
ʹataynaahum̃
We (have) brought them
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣i
the truth
وَإِنَّهُمۡ
wa-ʹinnahum
but indeed they
لَكَٰذِبُونَ
lakaaẓiboon!
surely (are) liars
٩٠
23:91
مَا
Mat
Not
ٱتَّخَذَ
takhaẓal
Allah has taken
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah has taken
مِن
miñw
any
وَلَدٖ
waladiñw
son
وَمَا
wamaa
and not
كَانَ
kaana
is
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
with Him
مِنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍۚ
ʹilaahin
god
إِذٗا
ʹiẓal
Then
لَّذَهَبَ
laẓahaba
surely (would have) taken away
كُلُّ
kullu
each
إِلَٰهِۭ
ʹilaahim
god
بِمَا
bimaa
what
خَلَقَ
khalaq̣a
he created
وَلَعَلَا
wa-laʻalaa
and surely would have overpowered
بَعۡضُهُمۡ
baʻḍuhum
some of them
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
[on]
بَعۡضٖۚ
baʻḍ!
others
سُبۡحَٰنَ
Subḥaanal
Glory be
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(to) Allah
عَمَّا
ʻammaa
above what
يَصِفُونَ
yaṣifoon!
they attribute
٩١
23:92
عَٰلِمِ
ʻAalimil
Knower
ٱلۡغَيۡبِ
g̣aybi
(of) the unseen
وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ
washshahaadati
and the witnessed
فَتَعَٰلَىٰ
fataʻaalaa
exalted is He
عَمَّا
ʻammaa
above what
يُشۡرِكُونَ
yushrikoon!
they associate
٩٢
23:93
قُل
Q̣ur
Say
رَّبِّ
Rabbi
My Lord
إِمَّا
ʹimmaa
If
تُرِيَنِّي
turiyannee
You should show me
مَا
maa-
what
يُوعَدُونَ
yooʻadoon,
they are promised
٩٣
23:94
رَبِّ
Rabbi
My Lord
فَلَا
falaa
then (do) not
تَجۡعَلۡنِي
tajʻalnee
place me
فِي
fil
among
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
q̣awmiz̤̣
the people
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen!
the wrongdoers
٩٤
23:95
وَإِنَّا
Wa-ʹinnaa
And indeed We
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
on
أَن
ʹan
that
نُّرِيَكَ
nuriyaka
We show you
مَا
maa-
what
نَعِدُهُمۡ
naʻiduhum
We have promised them
لَقَٰدِرُونَ
la-Q̣aadiroon.
surely able
٩٥
23:96
ٱدۡفَعۡ
ʹIdfaʻ
Repel
بِٱلَّتِي
billatee
by that
هِيَ
hiya
which
أَحۡسَنُ
ʹaḥsanus
(is) best
ٱلسَّيِّئَةَۚ
sayyiʹah:
the evil
نَحۡنُ
Naḥnu
We
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamu
know best
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
يَصِفُونَ
yaṣifoon.
they attribute
٩٦
23:97
وَقُل
Wa-q̣ur
And say
رَّبِّ
Rabbi
My Lord
أَعُوذُ
ʹaʻooẓu
I seek refuge
بِكَ
bika
in You
مِنۡ
min
from
هَمَزَٰتِ
hamazaatish
(the) suggestions
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ
shayaaṭeen.
(of) the evil ones
٩٧
23:98
وَأَعُوذُ
Wa-ʹaʻooẓu
And I seek refuge
بِكَ
bika
in You
رَبِّ
Rabbi
My Lord
أَن
ʹañy
Lest
يَحۡضُرُونِ
yaḥḍuroon.
they be present with me
٩٨
23:99
حَتَّىٰٓ
Ḥattaaa
Until
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
comes
أَحَدَهُمُ
ʹaḥadahumul
(to) one of them
ٱلۡمَوۡتُ
mawtu
the death
قَالَ
q̣aala
he says
رَبِّ
Rabbir
My Lord
ٱرۡجِعُونِ
jiʻoon,
Send me back
٩٩
23:100
لَعَلِّيٓ
Laʻalleee
That I may
أَعۡمَلُ
ʹaʻmalu
do
صَٰلِحٗا
ṣaaliḥañ
righteous (deeds)
فِيمَا
feemaa
in what
تَرَكۡتُۚ
taraktu
I left behind
كـَلَّآۚ
kallaa!
No
إِنَّهَا
ʹInnahaa
Indeed it
كَلِمَةٌ
kalimatun
(is) a word
هُوَ
huwa
he
قَآئِلُهَاۖ
q̣aaaʹiluhaa.
speaks it
وَمِن
Wa-miñw
and before them
وَرَآئِهِم
waraaaʹihim
and before them
بَرۡزَخٌ
Barzakhun
(is) a barrier
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
till
يَوۡمِ
Yawmi
(the) Day
يُبۡعَثُونَ
yubʻas̤oon.
they are resurrected
١٠٠
