۞وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
ءَاتَيۡنَآ
atayna
We gave
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rahima
Ibrahim
رُشۡدَهُۥ
rush'dahu
his guidance
مِن
min
before
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
وَكُنَّا
wakunna
and We were
بِهِۦ
bihi
about him
عَٰلِمِينَ
alimina
Well-Knowing
٥١
21:52
إِذۡ
idh
When
قَالَ
qala
he said
لِأَبِيهِ
li-abihi
to his father
وَقَوۡمِهِۦ
waqawmihi
and his people
مَا
ma
What
هَٰذِهِ
hadhihi
(are) these
ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ
al-tamathilu
[the] statues
ٱلَّتِيٓ
allati
which
أَنتُمۡ
antum
you
لَهَا
laha
to it
عَٰكِفُونَ
akifuna
(are) devoted
٥٢
21:53
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
وَجَدۡنَآ
wajadna
We found
ءَابَآءَنَا
abaana
our forefathers
لَهَا
laha
of them
عَٰبِدِينَ
abidina
worshippers
٥٣
21:54
قَالَ
qala
He said
لَقَدۡ
laqad
Verily
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
أَنتُمۡ
antum
[you]
وَءَابَآؤُكُمۡ
waabaukum
and your forefathers
فِي
fi
(were) in
ضَلَٰلٖ
dalalin
an error
مُّبِينٖ
mubinin
manifest
٥٤
21:55
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
They said
أَجِئۡتَنَا
aji'tana
Have you come to us
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-haqi
with the truth
أَمۡ
am
or
أَنتَ
anta
you
مِنَ
mina
(are) of
ٱللَّٰعِبِينَ
al-la'ibina
those who play
٥٥
21:56
قَالَ
qala
He said
بَل
bal
Nay
رَّبُّكُمۡ
rabbukum
your Lord
رَبُّ
rabbu
(is the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ardi
and the earth
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One Who
فَطَرَهُنَّ
fatarahunna
created them
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ana
and I am
عَلَىٰ
ala
to
ذَٰلِكُم
dhalikum
that
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
al-shahidina
the witnesses
٥٦
21:57
وَتَٱللَّهِ
watal-lahi
And by Allah
لَأَكِيدَنَّ
la-akidanna
surely I will plan
أَصۡنَٰمَكُم
asnamakum
(against) your idols
بَعۡدَ
ba'da
after
أَن
an
[that]
تُوَلُّواْ
tuwallu
you go away
مُدۡبِرِينَ
mud'birina
turning (your) backs

21:58
فَجَعَلَهُمۡ
faja'alahum
So he made them
جُذَٰذًا
judhadhan
(into) pieces
إِلَّا
illa
except
كَبِيرٗا
kabiran
a large (one)
لَّهُمۡ
lahum
of them
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
إِلَيۡهِ
ilayhi
to it
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarji'una
return
٥٨
21:59
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
مَن
man
Who
فَعَلَ
fa'ala
(has) done
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ
bialihatina
to our gods
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
لَمِنَ
lamina
(is) of
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
٥٩
21:60
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
سَمِعۡنَا
sami'na
We heard
فَتٗى
fatan
a youth
يَذۡكُرُهُمۡ
yadhkuruhum
mention them
يُقَالُ
yuqalu
he is called
لَهُۥٓ
lahu
he is called
إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
ib'rahimu
Ibrahim
٦٠
21:61
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
فَأۡتُواْ
fatu
Then bring
بِهِۦ
bihi
him
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
before
أَعۡيُنِ
a'yuni
(the) eyes
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) the people
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَشۡهَدُونَ
yashhaduna
bear witness
٦١
21:62
قَالُوٓاْ
qalu
They said
ءَأَنتَ
a-anta
Have you
فَعَلۡتَ
fa'alta
done
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
بِـَٔالِهَتِنَا
bialihatina
to our gods
يَٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
yaib'rahimu
O Ibrahim
٦٢
21:63
قَالَ
qala
He said
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
فَعَلَهُۥ
fa'alahu
(some doer) did it
كَبِيرُهُمۡ
kabiruhum
Their chief
هَٰذَا
hadha
(is) this
فَسۡـَٔلُوهُمۡ
fasaluhum
So ask them
إِن
in
if
كَانُواْ
kanu
they (can)
يَنطِقُونَ
yantiquna
speak
٦٣
21:64
فَرَجَعُوٓاْ
faraja'u
So they returned
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
to
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
anfusihim
themselves
فَقَالُوٓاْ
faqalu
and said
إِنَّكُمۡ
innakum
Indeed you
أَنتُمُ
antumu
[you]
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
al-zalimuna
(are) the wrongdoers
٦٤
21:65
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
نُكِسُواْ
nukisu
they were turned
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
رُءُوسِهِمۡ
ruusihim
their heads
لَقَدۡ
laqad
Verily
عَلِمۡتَ
alim'ta
you know
مَا
ma
not
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haulai
these
يَنطِقُونَ
yantiquna
(can) speak
٦٥
21:66
قَالَ
qala
He said
أَفَتَعۡبُدُونَ
afata'buduna
Then do you worship
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
مَا
ma
what
لَا
la
(does) not
يَنفَعُكُمۡ
yanfa'ukum
benefit you
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayan
(in) anything
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَضُرُّكُمۡ
yadurrukum
harms you
٦٦
21:67
أُفّٖ
uffin
Uff
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
to you
وَلِمَا
walima
and to what
تَعۡبُدُونَ
ta'buduna
you worship
مِن
min
besides
دُونِ
duni
besides
ٱللَّهِۚ
al-lahi
Allah
أَفَلَا
afala
Then will not
تَعۡقِلُونَ
ta'qiluna
you use reason
٦٧
21:68
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
حَرِّقُوهُ
harriquhu
Burn him
وَٱنصُرُوٓاْ
wa-unsuru
and support
ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ
alihatakum
your gods
إِن
in
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
فَٰعِلِينَ
fa'ilina
doers
٦٨
21:69
قُلۡنَا
qul'na
We said
يَٰنَارُ
yanaru
O fire
كُونِي
kuni
Be
بَرۡدٗا
bardan
cool[ness]
وَسَلَٰمًا
wasalaman
and safe[ty]
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
for
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rahima
Ibrahim
٦٩
21:70
وَأَرَادُواْ
wa-aradu
And they intended
بِهِۦ
bihi
for him
كَيۡدٗا
kaydan
a plan
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمُ
faja'alnahumu
but We made them
ٱلۡأَخۡسَرِينَ
al-akhsarina
the greatest losers
٧٠
21:71
وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ
wanajjaynahu
And We delivered him
وَلُوطًا
walutan
and Lut
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the land
ٱلَّتِي
allati
which
بَٰرَكۡنَا
barakna
We (had) blessed
فِيهَا
fiha
[in it]
لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
lil'alamina
for the worlds
٧١
21:72
وَوَهَبۡنَا
wawahabna
And We bestowed
لَهُۥٓ
lahu
on him
إِسۡحَٰقَ
is'haqa
Isaac
وَيَعۡقُوبَ
waya'quba
and Yaqub
نَافِلَةٗۖ
nafilatan
(in) addition
وَكُلّٗا
wakullan
and all
جَعَلۡنَا
ja'alna
We made
صَٰلِحِينَ
salihina
righteous
٧٢
Page 328
21:73
وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ
waja'alnahum
And We made them
أَئِمَّةٗ
a-immatan
leaders
يَهۡدُونَ
yahduna
they guide
بِأَمۡرِنَا
bi-amrina
by Our Command
وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ
wa-awhayna
And We inspired
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ilayhim
to them
فِعۡلَ
fi'la
(the) doing
ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِ
al-khayrati
(of) good deeds
وَإِقَامَ
wa-iqama
and establishment
ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
al-salati
(of) the prayer
وَإِيتَآءَ
waitaa
and giving
ٱلزَّكَوٰةِۖ
al-zakati
(of) zakah
وَكَانُواْ
wakanu
and they were
لَنَا
lana
of Us
عَٰبِدِينَ
abidina
worshippers
٧٣
21:74
وَلُوطًا
walutan
And (to) Lut
ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
ataynahu
We gave him
حُكۡمٗا
huk'man
judgment
وَعِلۡمٗا
wa'il'man
and knowledge
وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ
wanajjaynahu
and We saved him
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ
al-qaryati
the town
ٱلَّتِي
allati
which
كَانَت
kanat
was
تَّعۡمَلُ
ta'malu
doing
ٱلۡخَبَٰٓئِثَۚ
al-khabaitha
wicked deeds
إِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
Indeed they
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
قَوۡمَ
qawma
a people
سَوۡءٖ
sawin
evil
فَٰسِقِينَ
fasiqina
defiantly disobedient
٧٤
21:75
وَأَدۡخَلۡنَٰهُ
wa-adkhalnahu
And We admitted him
فِي
fi
into
رَحۡمَتِنَآۖ
rahmatina
Our Mercy
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed he
مِنَ
mina
(was) of
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
al-salihina
the righteous
٧٥
