۞وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And verily
ءَاتَيۡنَآ
ʹaataynaaa
We gave
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
Ibrahim
رُشۡدَهُۥ
rushdahoo
his guidance
مِن
miñ
before
قَبۡلُ
q̣ablu
before
وَكُنَّا
wa-kunnaa
and We were
بِهِۦ
bihee
about him
عَٰلِمِينَ
ʻaalimeen.
Well-Knowing
٥١
21:52
إِذۡ
ʹIẓ
When
قَالَ
q̣aala
he said
لِأَبِيهِ
liʹabeehi
to his father
وَقَوۡمِهِۦ
waq̣awmihee
and his people
مَا
maa-
What
هَٰذِهِ
haaẓihit
(are) these
ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ
tamaas̤eelul
[the] statues
ٱلَّتِيٓ
lateee
which
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
you
لَهَا
lahaa
to it
عَٰكِفُونَ
ʻaakifoon.
(are) devoted
٥٢
21:53
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
وَجَدۡنَآ
wajadnaaa
We found
ءَابَآءَنَا
ʹaabaaaʹanaa
our forefathers
لَهَا
lahaa
of them
عَٰبِدِينَ
ʻaabideen.
worshippers
٥٣
21:54
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
لَقَدۡ
laq̣ad
Verily
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
أَنتُمۡ
ʹañtum
[you]
وَءَابَآؤُكُمۡ
wa-ʹaabaaaʹukum
and your forefathers
فِي
fee
(were) in
ضَلَٰلٖ
ḍalaalim
an error
مُّبِينٖ
mubeen.
manifest
٥٤
21:55
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
أَجِئۡتَنَا
ʹajiʹtanaa
Have you come to us
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣i
with the truth
أَمۡ
ʹam
or
أَنتَ
ʹañta
you
مِنَ
minal
(are) of
ٱللَّٰعِبِينَ
laaʻibeen.
those who play
٥٥
21:56
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
بَل
bar
Nay
رَّبُّكُمۡ
Rabbukum
your Lord
رَبُّ
Rabbus
(is the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
samaawaati
(of) the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
wal-ʹarḍil
and the earth
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the One Who
فَطَرَهُنَّ
faṭarahunn:
created them
وَأَنَا۠
Wa-ʹana
and I am
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
to
ذَٰلِكُم
ẓaalikum
that
مِّنَ
minash
of
ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ
shaahideen.
the witnesses
٥٦
21:57
وَتَٱللَّهِ
Wa-tallaahi
And by Allah
لَأَكِيدَنَّ
laʹakeedanna
surely I will plan
أَصۡنَٰمَكُم
ʹaṣnaamakum
(against) your idols
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
أَن
ʹañ
[that]
تُوَلُّواْ
tuwalloo
you go away
مُدۡبِرِينَ
mudbireen.
turning (your) backs

21:58
فَجَعَلَهُمۡ
Fajaʻalahum
So he made them
جُذَٰذًا
jaẓaaẓan
(into) pieces
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
كَبِيرٗا
kabeeral
a large (one)
لَّهُمۡ
lahum
of them
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallahum
so that they may
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to it
يَرۡجِعُونَ
yarjiʻoon.
return
٥٨
21:59
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
مَن
mañ
Who
فَعَلَ
faʻala
(has) done
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ
biʹaalihatinaaa
to our gods
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed he
لَمِنَ
laminaz̤̣
(is) of
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen!
the wrongdoers
٥٩
21:60
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
سَمِعۡنَا
samiʻnaa
We heard
فَتٗى
fatañy
a youth
يَذۡكُرُهُمۡ
yaẓkuruhum
mention them
يُقَالُ
yuq̣aalu
he is called
لَهُۥٓ
lahooo
he is called
إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
ʹIbraaheem.
Ibrahim
٦٠
21:61
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
فَأۡتُواْ
faʹtoo
Then bring
بِهِۦ
bihee
him
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
before
أَعۡيُنِ
ʹaʻyunin
(the) eyes
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
(of) the people
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallahum
so that they may
يَشۡهَدُونَ
yashhadoon.
bear witness
٦١
21:62
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
ءَأَنتَ
ʹaʹañta
Have you
فَعَلۡتَ
faʻalta
done
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
بِـَٔالِهَتِنَا
biʹaalihatinaa
to our gods
يَٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
yaaaʹIbraaheem?
O Ibrahim
٦٢
21:63
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
فَعَلَهُۥ
faʻalahoo
(some doer) did it
كَبِيرُهُمۡ
kabeeruhum
Their chief
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
(is) this
فَسۡـَٔلُوهُمۡ
fasʹaloohum
So ask them
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they (can)
يَنطِقُونَ
yañṭiq̣oon!
speak
٦٣
21:64
فَرَجَعُوٓاْ
Farajaʻooo
So they returned
إِلَىٰٓ
ʹilaaa
to
أَنفُسِهِمۡ
ʹañfusihim
themselves
فَقَالُوٓاْ
faq̣aalooo
and said
إِنَّكُمۡ
ʹinnakum
Indeed you
أَنتُمُ
ʹañtumuz̤̣
[you]
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
z̤̣aalimoon.
(are) the wrongdoers
٦٤
21:65
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
نُكِسُواْ
nukisoo
they were turned
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
رُءُوسِهِمۡ
ruʹoosihim:
their heads
لَقَدۡ
laq̣ad
Verily
عَلِمۡتَ
ʻalimta
you know
مَا
maa-
not
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haaaʹulaaaʹi
these
يَنطِقُونَ
yañṭiq̣oon!
(can) speak
٦٥
21:66
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
أَفَتَعۡبُدُونَ
ʹafataʻbudoona
Then do you worship
مِن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
مَا
maa
what
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يَنفَعُكُمۡ
yañfaʻukum
benefit you
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayʹañw
(in) anything
وَلَا
walaa
and not
يَضُرُّكُمۡ
yaḍurrukum?
harms you
٦٦
21:67
أُفّٖ
ʹUffil
Uff
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
to you
وَلِمَا
wa-limaa
and to what
تَعۡبُدُونَ
taʻbudoona
you worship
مِن
miñ
besides
دُونِ
doonil
besides
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah!
Allah
أَفَلَا
ʹAfalaa
Then will not
تَعۡقِلُونَ
taʻq̣iloon?
you use reason
٦٧
21:68
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
حَرِّقُوهُ
ḥarriq̣oohu
Burn him
وَٱنصُرُوٓاْ
wañṣurooo
and support
ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ
ʹaalihatakum
your gods
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you are
فَٰعِلِينَ
faaʻileen!
doers
٦٨
21:69
قُلۡنَا
Q̣ulnaa
We said
يَٰنَارُ
yaa-Naaru
O fire
كُونِي
koonee
Be
بَرۡدٗا
bardañw
cool[ness]
وَسَلَٰمًا
wasalaaman
and safe[ty]
عَلَىٰٓ
ʻalaaa
for
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheem!
Ibrahim
٦٩
21:70
وَأَرَادُواْ
Wa-ʹaraadoo
And they intended
بِهِۦ
bihee
for him
كَيۡدٗا
kaydañ
a plan
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمُ
fajaʻalnaahumul
but We made them
ٱلۡأَخۡسَرِينَ
ʹakhsareen!
the greatest losers
٧٠
21:71
وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ
Wa-najjaynaahu
And We delivered him
وَلُوطًا
wa-Looṭan
and Lut
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍil
the land
ٱلَّتِي
latee
which
بَٰرَكۡنَا
baaraknaa
We (had) blessed
فِيهَا
feehaa
[in it]
لِلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
lil-ʻaalameem.
for the worlds
٧١
21:72
وَوَهَبۡنَا
Wa-wahabnaa
And We bestowed
لَهُۥٓ
lahooo
on him
إِسۡحَٰقَ
ʹIsḥaaq̣:
Isaac
وَيَعۡقُوبَ
wa-Yaʻq̣ooba
and Yaqub
نَافِلَةٗۖ
naafilah:
(in) addition
وَكُلّٗا
wa-kullañ
and all
جَعَلۡنَا
jaʻalnaa
We made
صَٰلِحِينَ
Ṣaaliḥeen.
righteous
٧٢

21:73
وَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ
Wa-jaʻalnaahum
And We made them
أَئِمَّةٗ
ʹAʹimmatañy
leaders
يَهۡدُونَ
yahdoona
they guide
بِأَمۡرِنَا
biʹAmrinaa
by Our Command
وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ
wa-ʹawḥaynaaa
And We inspired
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ʹilayhim
to them
فِعۡلَ
fiʻlal
(the) doing
ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِ
khayraati
(of) good deeds
وَإِقَامَ
wa-ʹiq̣aamaṣ
and establishment
ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ
Ṣalaati
(of) the prayer
وَإِيتَآءَ
wa-ʹeetaaaʹaz
and giving
ٱلزَّكَوٰةِۖ
Zakaah;
(of) zakah
وَكَانُواْ
wa-kaanoo
and they were
لَنَا
lanaa
of Us
عَٰبِدِينَ
ʻaabideen.
worshippers
٧٣
21:74
وَلُوطًا
Wa-Looṭan
And (to) Lut
ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
ʹaataynaahu
We gave him
حُكۡمٗا
Ḥukmañw
judgment
وَعِلۡمٗا
WaʻIlmañw
and knowledge
وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ
Wanajjaynaahu
and We saved him
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ
q̣aryatil
the town
ٱلَّتِي
latee
which
كَانَت
kaanat
was
تَّعۡمَلُ
taʻmalul
doing
ٱلۡخَبَٰٓئِثَۚ
khabaaaʹis̤.
wicked deeds
إِنَّهُمۡ
ʹinnahum
Indeed they
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
were
قَوۡمَ
q̣awma
a people
سَوۡءٖ
Sawʹiñ
evil
فَٰسِقِينَ
faasiq̣een.
defiantly disobedient
٧٤
21:75
وَأَدۡخَلۡنَٰهُ
Wa-ʹadkhalnaahu
And We admitted him
فِي
fee
into
رَحۡمَتِنَآۖ
Raḥmatinaa:
Our Mercy
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed he
مِنَ
minaṣ
(was) of
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
Ṣaaliḥeen.
the righteous
٧٥
