the rivers
خَٰلِدِينَ

abiding forever
فِيهَاۚ

وَذَٰلِكَ
wadhalika
And that
جَزَآءُ
jazau
(is) the reward
مَن
man
(for him) who
تَزَكَّىٰ
tazakka
purifies himself

20:77
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
awhayna
We inspired
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
Musa
أَنۡ
an
that
أَسۡرِ
asri
Travel by night
بِعِبَادِي
bi'ibadi
with My slaves
فَٱضۡرِبۡ
fa-id'rib
and strike
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
طَرِيقٗا
tariqan
a path
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡبَحۡرِ
al-bahri
the sea
يَبَسٗا
yabasan
dry
لَّا
la
not
تَخَٰفُ
takhafu
fearing
دَرَكٗا
darakan
to be overtaken
وَلَا
wala
and not
تَخۡشَىٰ
takhsha
being afraid
٧٧
20:78
فَأَتۡبَعَهُمۡ
fa-atba'ahum
Then followed them
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
fir'awnu
Firaun
بِجُنُودِهِۦ
bijunudihi
with his forces
فَغَشِيَهُم
faghashiyahum
but covered them
مِّنَ
mina
from
ٱلۡيَمِّ
al-yami
the sea
مَا
ma
what
غَشِيَهُمۡ
ghashiyahum
covered them
٧٨
20:79
وَأَضَلَّ
wa-adalla
And led astray
فِرۡعَوۡنُ
fir'awnu
Firaun
قَوۡمَهُۥ
qawmahu
his people
وَمَا
wama
and (did) not
هَدَىٰ
hada
guide them
٧٩
20:80
يَٰبَنِيٓ
yabani
O Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
O Children of Israel
قَدۡ
qad
Verily
أَنجَيۡنَٰكُم
anjaynakum
We delivered you
مِّنۡ
min
from
عَدُوِّكُمۡ
aduwwikum
your enemy
وَوَٰعَدۡنَٰكُمۡ
wawa'adnakum
and We made a covenant with you
جَانِبَ
janiba
on (the) side
ٱلطُّورِ
al-turi
(of) the Mount
ٱلۡأَيۡمَنَ
al-aymana
the right
وَنَزَّلۡنَا
wanazzalna
and We sent down
عَلَيۡكُمُ
alaykumu
to you
ٱلۡمَنَّ
al-mana
the Manna
وَٱلسَّلۡوَىٰ
wal-salwa
and the quails
٨٠
20:81
كُلُواْ
kulu
Eat
مِن
min
of
طَيِّبَٰتِ
tayyibati
(the) good things
مَا
ma
which
رَزَقۡنَٰكُمۡ
razaqnakum
We have provided you
وَلَا
wala
and (do) not
تَطۡغَوۡاْ
tatghaw
transgress
فِيهِ
fihi
therein
فَيَحِلَّ
fayahilla
lest should descend
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
upon you
غَضَبِيۖ
ghadabi
My Anger
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
يَحۡلِلۡ
yahlil
on whom descends
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
on whom descends
غَضَبِي
ghadabi
My Anger
فَقَدۡ
faqad
indeed
هَوَىٰ
hawa
he (has) perished
٨١
20:82
وَإِنِّي
wa-inni
But indeed I Am
لَغَفَّارٞ
laghaffarun
the Perpetual Forgiver
لِّمَن
liman
of whoever
تَابَ
taba
repents
وَءَامَنَ
waamana
and believes
وَعَمِلَ
wa'amila
and does
صَٰلِحٗا
salihan
righteous (deeds)
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
ٱهۡتَدَىٰ
ih'tada
remains guided
٨٢
20:83
۞وَمَآ
wama
And what
أَعۡجَلَكَ
a'jalaka
made you hasten
عَن
an
from
قَوۡمِكَ
qawmika
your people
يَٰمُوسَىٰ
yamusa
O Musa
٨٣
20:84
قَالَ
qala
He said
هُمۡ
hum
They
أُوْلَآءِ
ulai
(are) close
عَلَىٰٓ
ala
upon
أَثَرِي
athari
my tracks
وَعَجِلۡتُ
wa'ajil'tu
and I hastened
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
رَبِّ
rabbi
my Lord
لِتَرۡضَىٰ
litarda
that You be pleased
٨٤
20:85
قَالَ
qala
He said
فَإِنَّا
fa-inna
But indeed We
قَدۡ
qad
[verily]
فَتَنَّا
fatanna
We (have) tried
قَوۡمَكَ
qawmaka
your people
مِنۢ
min
after you
بَعۡدِكَ
ba'dika
after you
وَأَضَلَّهُمُ
wa-adallahumu
and has led them astray
ٱلسَّامِرِيُّ
al-samiriyu
the Samiri
٨٥
20:86
فَرَجَعَ
faraja'a
Then Musa returned
مُوسَىٰٓ
musa
Then Musa returned
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
قَوۡمِهِۦ
qawmihi
his people
غَضۡبَٰنَ
ghadbana
angry
أَسِفٗاۚ
asifan
(and) sorrowful
قَالَ
qala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaqawmi
O my people
أَلَمۡ
alam
Did not
يَعِدۡكُمۡ
ya'id'kum
promise you
رَبُّكُمۡ
rabbukum
your Lord
وَعۡدًا
wa'dan
a promise
حَسَنًاۚ
hasanan
good
أَفَطَالَ
afatala
Then did seem long
عَلَيۡكُمُ
alaykumu
to you
ٱلۡعَهۡدُ
al-'ahdu
the promise
أَمۡ
am
or
أَرَدتُّمۡ
aradttum
did you desire
أَن
an
that
يَحِلَّ
yahilla
descend
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
upon you
غَضَبٞ
ghadabun
(the) Anger
مِّن
min
of
رَّبِّكُمۡ
rabbikum
your Lord
فَأَخۡلَفۡتُم
fa-akhlaftum
so you broke
مَّوۡعِدِي
maw'idi
(the) promise to me
٨٦
20:87
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
مَآ
ma
Not
أَخۡلَفۡنَا
akhlafna
we broke
مَوۡعِدَكَ
maw'idaka
promise to you
بِمَلۡكِنَا
bimalkina
by our will
وَلَٰكِنَّا
walakinna
but we
حُمِّلۡنَآ
hummil'na
[we] were made to carry
أَوۡزَارٗا
awzaran
burdens
مِّن
min
from
زِينَةِ
zinati
ornaments
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
al-qawmi
(of) the people
فَقَذَفۡنَٰهَا
faqadhafnaha
so we threw them
فَكَذَٰلِكَ
fakadhalika
and thus
أَلۡقَى
alqa
threw
ٱلسَّامِرِيُّ
al-samiriyu
the Samiri
٨٧

20:88
فَأَخۡرَجَ
fa-akhraja
Then he brought forth
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
عِجۡلٗا
ij'lan
a calf's
جَسَدٗا
jasadan
body
لَّهُۥ
lahu
it had
خُوَارٞ
khuwarun
a lowing sound
فَقَالُواْ
faqalu
and they said
هَٰذَآ
hadha
This
إِلَٰهُكُمۡ
ilahukum
(is) your god
وَإِلَٰهُ
wa-ilahu
and the god
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(of) Musa
فَنَسِيَ
fanasiya
but he forgot
٨٨
20:89
أَفَلَا
afala
Then did not
يَرَوۡنَ
yarawna
they see
أَلَّا
alla
that not
يَرۡجِعُ
yarji'u
it (could) return
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ilayhim
to them
قَوۡلٗا
qawlan
a word
وَلَا
wala
and not
يَمۡلِكُ
yamliku
possess
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
ضَرّٗا
darran
any harm
وَلَا
wala
and not
نَفۡعٗا
naf 'an
any benefit
٨٩
20:90
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
قَالَ
qala
(had) said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
هَٰرُونُ
harunu
Harun
مِن
min
before
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaqawmi
O my people
إِنَّمَا
innama
Only
فُتِنتُم
futintum
you are being tested
بِهِۦۖ
bihi
by it
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
and indeed
رَبَّكُمُ
rabbakumu
your Lord
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
al-rahmanu
(is) the Most Gracious
فَٱتَّبِعُونِي
fa-ittabi'uni
so follow me
وَأَطِيعُوٓاْ
wa-ati'u
and obey
أَمۡرِي
amri
my order
٩٠
20:91
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
لَن
lan
Never
نَّبۡرَحَ
nabraha
we will cease
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
being devoted to it
عَٰكِفِينَ
akifina
being devoted to it
حَتَّىٰ
hatta
until
يَرۡجِعَ
yarji'a
returns
إِلَيۡنَا
ilayna
to us
مُوسَىٰ
musa
Musa
٩١
20:92
قَالَ
qala
He said
يَٰهَٰرُونُ
yaharunu
O Harun
مَا
ma
What
مَنَعَكَ
mana'aka
prevented you
إِذۡ
idh
when
رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ
ra-aytahum
you saw them
ضَلُّوٓاْ
dallu
going astray
٩٢
20:93
أَلَّا
alla
That not
تَتَّبِعَنِۖ
tattabi'ani
you follow me
أَفَعَصَيۡتَ
afa'asayta
Then have you disobeyed
أَمۡرِي
amri
my order
٩٣
20:94
قَالَ
qala
He said
يَبۡنَؤُمَّ
yabna-umma
O son of my mother
لَا
la
(Do) not
تَأۡخُذۡ
takhudh
seize (me)
بِلِحۡيَتِي
bilih'yati
by my beard
وَلَا
wala
and not
بِرَأۡسِيٓۖ
birasi
by my head
إِنِّي
inni
Indeed I
خَشِيتُ
khashitu
[I] feared
أَن
an
that
تَقُولَ
taqula
you would say
فَرَّقۡتَ
farraqta
You caused division
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) Children of Israel
إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'raila
(the) Children of Israel
وَلَمۡ
walam
and not
تَرۡقُبۡ
tarqub
you respect
قَوۡلِي
qawli
my word
٩٤
20:95
قَالَ
qala
He said
فَمَا
fama
Then what
خَطۡبُكَ
khatbuka
(is) your case
يَٰسَٰمِرِيُّ
yasamiriyyu
O Samiri
٩٥
20:96
قَالَ
qala
He said
بَصُرۡتُ
basur'tu
I perceived
بِمَا
bima
what
لَمۡ
lam
not
يَبۡصُرُواْ
yabsuru
they perceive
بِهِۦ
bihi
in it
فَقَبَضۡتُ
faqabadtu
so I took
قَبۡضَةٗ
qabdatan
a handful
مِّنۡ
min
from
أَثَرِ
athari
(the) track
ٱلرَّسُولِ
al-rasuli
(of) the Messenger
فَنَبَذۡتُهَا
fanabadhtuha
then threw it
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhalika
and thus
سَوَّلَتۡ
sawwalat
suggested
لِي
li
to me
نَفۡسِي
nafsi
my soul
٩٦
20:97
قَالَ
qala
He said
فَٱذۡهَبۡ
fa-idh'hab
Then go
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
And indeed
لَكَ
laka
for you
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
the life
أَن
an
that
تَقُولَ
taqula
you will say
لَا
la
(Do) not
مِسَاسَۖ
misasa
touch
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
لَكَ
laka
for you
مَوۡعِدٗا
maw'idan
(is) an appointment
لَّن
lan
never
تُخۡلَفَهُۥۖ
tukh'lafahu
you will fail to (keep) it
وَٱنظُرۡ
wa-unzur
And look
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
at
إِلَٰهِكَ
ilahika
your god
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
that which
ظَلۡتَ
zalta
you have remained
عَلَيۡهِ
alayhi
to it
عَاكِفٗاۖ
akifan
devoted
لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُۥ
lanuharriqannahu
Surely we will burn it
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
لَنَنسِفَنَّهُۥ
lanansifannahu
certainly we will scatter it
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡيَمِّ
al-yami
the sea
نَسۡفًا
nasfan
(in) particles
٩٧
20:98
إِنَّمَآ
innama
Only
إِلَٰهُكُمُ
ilahukumu
your God
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
the One
لَآ
la
(there is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا
illa
but
هُوَۚ
huwa
He
وَسِعَ
wasi'a
He has encompassed
كُلَّ
kulla
all
شَيۡءٍ
shayin
things
عِلۡمٗا
il'man
(in) knowledge
٩٨

كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
نَقُصُّ
naqussu
We relate
عَلَيۡكَ
alayka
to you
مِنۡ
min
from
أَنۢبَآءِ
anbai
(the) news
مَا
ma
(of) what
قَدۡ
qad
has preceded
سَبَقَۚ
sabaqa
has preceded
وَقَدۡ
waqad
And certainly
ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ
ataynaka
We have given you
مِن
min
from
لَّدُنَّا
ladunna
Us
ذِكۡرٗا
dhik'ran
a Reminder
٩٩
20:100
مَّنۡ
man
Whoever
أَعۡرَضَ
a'rada
turns away
عَنۡهُ
anhu
from it
فَإِنَّهُۥ
fa-innahu
then indeed he
يَحۡمِلُ
yahmilu
will bear
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) Resurrection
وِزۡرًا
wiz'ran
a burden
١٠٠
