20:51قَالَQ̣aalaHe saidفَمَاfamaaThen whatبَالُbaalul(is the) caseٱلۡقُرُونِq̣uroonil(of) the generationsٱلۡأُولَىٰʹoolaa?(of) the former٥١
20:52قَالَQ̣aalaHe saidعِلۡمُهَاʻilmuhaaIts knowledgeعِندَʻiñda(is) withرَبِّيRabbeemy LordفِيfeeinكِتَٰبٖۖKitaab:a Recordلَّاlaa-NotيَضِلُّyaḍilluerrsرَبِّيRabbeemy Lordوَلَاwa-laaand notيَنسَىyañsaa,forgets٥٢
20:53ٱلَّذِيʹAllaẓeeThe One Whoجَعَلَjaʻalamadeلَكُمُlakumulfor youٱلۡأَرۡضَʹarḍathe earthمَهۡدٗاmahdañw(as) a bedوَسَلَكَwa-salakaand insertedلَكُمۡlakumfor youفِيهَاfeehaathereinسُبُلٗاsubulañwwaysوَأَنزَلَwaʹañzalaand sent downمِنَminasfromٱلسَّمَآءِsamaaaʹithe skyمَآءٗmaaaʹaa.waterفَأَخۡرَجۡنَاFaʹakhrajnaathen We (have) brought forthبِهِۦٓbiheeewith itأَزۡوَٰجٗاʹazwaajampairsمِّنminofنَّبَاتٖnabaatiñplantsشَتَّىٰshattaa.diverse٥٣
20:54كُلُواْKulooEatوَٱرۡعَوۡاْwarʻawand pastureأَنۡعَٰمَكُمۡۚʹanʻaamakum:your cattleإِنَّʹinnaIndeedفِيfeeinذَٰلِكَẓaalikathatلَأٓيَٰتٖlaʹAayaatilsurely (are) Signsلِّأُوْلِيliʹulinfor possessorsٱلنُّهَىٰnuhaa.(of) intelligence٥٤
20:55۞مِنۡهَاMinhaaFrom itخَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡkhalaq̣naakumWe created youوَفِيهَاwa-feehaaand in itنُعِيدُكُمۡnuʻeedukumWe will return youوَمِنۡهَاwa-minhaaand from itنُخۡرِجُكُمۡnukhrijukumWe will bring you outتَارَةًtaaratantimeأُخۡرَىٰʹukhraa.another٥٥
20:56وَلَقَدۡWa-laq̣adAnd verilyأَرَيۡنَٰهُʹaraynaahuWe showed himءَايَٰتِنَاʹAayaatinaaOur Signsكُلَّهَاkullahaaall of themفَكَذَّبَfakaẓẓababut he deniedوَأَبَىٰwa-ʹabaa.and refused٥٦
20:57قَالَQ̣aalaHe saidأَجِئۡتَنَاʹajiʹtanaaHave you come to usلِتُخۡرِجَنَاlitukhrijanaato drive us outمِنۡminofأَرۡضِنَاʹarḍinaaour landبِسِحۡرِكَbisiḥrikawith your magicيَٰمُوسَىٰyaa-Moosaa?O Musa٥٧
20:58فَلَنَأۡتِيَنَّكَFalanaʹtiyannakaThen we will surely produce for youبِسِحۡرٖbisiḥrimmagicمِّثۡلِهِۦmis̤liheelike itفَٱجۡعَلۡfajʻalSo makeبَيۡنَنَاbaynanabetween usوَبَيۡنَكَwa-baynakaand between youمَوۡعِدٗاmawʻidalan appointmentلَّاlaanotنُخۡلِفُهُۥnukhlifuhoowe will fail itنَحۡنُnaḥnu[we]وَلَآwa-laaaand notأَنتَʹañtayouمَكَانٗاmakaanañ(in) a placeسُوٗىsuwaa.even٥٨
20:59قَالَQ̣aalaHe saidمَوۡعِدُكُمۡmawʻidukumYour appointmentيَوۡمُyawmuz(is on the) dayٱلزِّينَةِzeenati(of) the festivalوَأَنwa-ʹañyand thatيُحۡشَرَyuḥsharanwill be assembledٱلنَّاسُnaasuthe peopleضُحٗىḍuḥaa.(at) forenoon٥٩
20:60فَتَوَلَّىٰFatawallaaThen went awayفِرۡعَوۡنُfirʻawnuFiraunفَجَمَعَfajamaʻaand put togetherكَيۡدَهُۥkaydahoohis planثُمَّs̤ummathenأَتَىٰʹataa.came٦٠
20:61قَالَQ̣aalaSaidلَهُمlahumto themمُّوسَىٰMoosaaMusaوَيۡلَكُمۡwaylakumWoe to youلَاlaa-(Do) notتَفۡتَرُواْtaftarooinventعَلَىʻalalagainstٱللَّهِlaahiAllahكَذِبٗاkaẓibaña lieفَيُسۡحِتَكُمfayusḥitakum̃lest He will destroy youبِعَذَابٖۖbiʻaẓaab:with a punishmentوَقَدۡwa-q̣adAnd verilyخَابَkhaabahe failedمَنِmanifwhoٱفۡتَرَىٰtaraa!invented٦١
20:62فَتَنَٰزَعُوٓاْFatanaazaʻoooThen they disputedأَمۡرَهُمʹamrahum̃(in) their affairبَيۡنَهُمۡbaynahumamong themوَأَسَرُّواْwa-ʹasarrunand they kept secretٱلنَّجۡوَىٰnajwaa.the private conversation٦٢
20:63قَالُوٓاْQ̣aaloooThey saidإِنۡʹinIndeedهَٰذَٰنِhaaẓaanithese twoلَسَٰحِرَٰنِlasaaḥiraani[two] magiciansيُرِيدَانِyureedaanithey intendأَنʹañythatيُخۡرِجَاكُمyukhrijaakumthey drive you outمِّنۡminofأَرۡضِكُمʹarḍikum̃your landبِسِحۡرِهِمَاbisiḥrihimaawith their magicوَيَذۡهَبَاwa-yaẓhabaaand do awayبِطَرِيقَتِكُمُbiṭareeq̣atikumulwith your wayٱلۡمُثۡلَىٰmus̤laa.the exemplary٦٣
20:64فَأَجۡمِعُواْFaʹajmiʻooSo put togetherكَيۡدَكُمۡkaydakumyour planثُمَّs̤ummaʹthenٱئۡتُواْtoocomeصَفّٗاۚṣaffaa:(in) a lineوَقَدۡwa-q̣adAnd verilyأَفۡلَحَʹaflaḥal(will be) successfulٱلۡيَوۡمَyawmatodayمَنِmaniswhoٱسۡتَعۡلَىٰtaʻlaa.overcomes٦٤
20:65قَالُواْQ̣aalooThey saidيَٰمُوسَىٰٓyaa-MoosaaaO MusaإِمَّآʹimmaaaEitherأَنʹañ[that]تُلۡقِيَtulq̣iyayou throwوَإِمَّآwa-ʹimmaaaorأَنʹan[that]نَّكُونَnakoonawe will beأَوَّلَʹawwalathe firstمَنۡmanwhoأَلۡقَىٰʹalq̣aa?throws٦٥
20:66قَالَQ̣aalaHe saidبَلۡbalNayأَلۡقُواْۖʹalq̣oo!you throwفَإِذَاFaʹiẓaaThen beholdحِبَالُهُمۡḥibaaluhumTheir ropesوَعِصِيُّهُمۡwa-ʻiṣiyyuhumand their staffsيُخَيَّلُyukhayyaluseemedإِلَيۡهِʹilayhito himمِنmiñbyسِحۡرِهِمۡsiḥrihimtheir magicأَنَّهَاʹannahaathat theyتَسۡعَىٰtasʻaa!(were) moving٦٦
20:67فَأَوۡجَسَFaʹawjasaSo sensedفِيfeeinنَفۡسِهِۦnafsiheehimselfخِيفَةٗkheefatama fearمُّوسَىٰMoosaa.Musa٦٧
20:68قُلۡنَاQ̣ulnaaWe saidلَاlaa-(Do) notتَخَفۡtakhaffearإِنَّكَʹinnakaIndeed youأَنتَʹantalyouٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰʹaʻlaa:(will be) superior٦٨
20:69وَأَلۡقِWaʹalq̣iAnd throwمَاmaa-whatفِيfee(is) inيَمِينِكَyameenikayour right handتَلۡقَفۡtalq̣afit will swallow upمَاmaa-whatصَنَعُوٓاْۖṣanaʻoo.they have madeإِنَّمَاʹInnamaaOnlyصَنَعُواْṣanaʻoothey (have) madeكَيۡدُkaydua trickسَٰحِرٖۖsaaḥir:(of) a magicianوَلَاwa-laaand notيُفۡلِحُyufliḥuswill be successfulٱلسَّاحِرُsaaḥiruthe magicianحَيۡثُḥays̤uwhereverأَتَىٰʹataa.he comes٦٩
20:70فَأُلۡقِيَFaʹulq̣iyasSo were thrown downٱلسَّحَرَةُsaharatuthe magiciansسُجَّدٗاsujjadañprostratingقَالُوٓاْq̣aaloooThey saidءَامَنَّاʹaamannaaWe believeبِرَبِّbi-Rabbiin (the) LordهَٰرُونَHaaroona(of) Harunوَمُوسَىٰwa-Moosaa.and Musa٧٠
20:71قَالَQ̣aalaHe saidءَامَنتُمۡʹaamañtumYou believeلَهُۥlahoo[to] himقَبۡلَq̣ablabeforeأَنۡʹan[that]ءَاذَنَʹaaẓanaI gave permissionلَكُمۡۖlakum?to youإِنَّهُۥʹInnahooIndeed heلَكَبِيرُكُمُlakabeerukumul(is) your chiefٱلَّذِيlaẓeethe one whoعَلَّمَكُمُʻallamakumustaught youٱلسِّحۡرَۖsiḥr!the magicفَلَأُقَطِّعَنَّFalaʹuq̣aṭṭiʻannaSo surely I will cut offأَيۡدِيَكُمۡʹaydiyakumyour handsوَأَرۡجُلَكُمwa-ʹarjulakumand your feetمِّنۡminofخِلَٰفٖkhilaafiñwopposite sidesوَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡwalaʹuṣallibannakumand surely I will crucify youفِيfeeonجُذُوعِjuẓooʻin(the) trunksٱلنَّخۡلِnakhl:(of) date-palmsوَلَتَعۡلَمُنَّwa-lataʻlamunnaand surely you will knowأَيُّنَآʹayyunaaawhich of usأَشَدُّʹashaddu(is) more severeعَذَابٗاʻaẓaabañw(in) punishmentوَأَبۡقَىٰWaʹabq̣aa!and more lasting٧١
20:72قَالُواْQ̣aalooThey saidلَنlanNeverنُّؤۡثِرَكَnuʹs̤irakawe will prefer youعَلَىٰʻalaaoverمَاmaa-whatجَآءَنَاjaaaʹanaahas come to usمِنَminalofٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِBayyinaatithe clear proofsوَٱلَّذِيwallaẓeeand the One Whoفَطَرَنَاۖfaṭaranaacreated usفَٱقۡضِfaq̣ḍiSo decreeمَآmaaawhateverأَنتَʹañtayouقَاضٍۖq̣aaḍ.(are) decreeingإِنَّمَاʹInnamaaOnlyتَقۡضِيtaq̣ḍeeyou can decreeهَٰذِهِhaaẓihil(for) thisٱلۡحَيَوٰةَḥayaatadlifeٱلدُّنۡيَآdunyaa.(of) the world٧٢
20:73إِنَّآʹInnaaaIndeed [we]ءَامَنَّاʹaamannaawe believeبِرَبِّنَاbi-Rabbinaain our Lordلِيَغۡفِرَliyag̣firathat He may forgiveلَنَاlanaafor usخَطَٰيَٰنَاkhaṭaayaanaaour sinsوَمَآwa-maaaand whatأَكۡرَهۡتَنَاʹakrahtanaayou compelled usعَلَيۡهِʻalayhion itمِنَminasofٱلسِّحۡرِۗsiḥr:the magicوَٱللَّهُwallaahuAnd AllahخَيۡرٞKhayruñw(is) BestوَأَبۡقَىٰٓWaʹAbq̣aa.and Ever Lasting٧٣
20:74إِنَّهُۥʹInnahooIndeed heمَنmañywhoيَأۡتِyaʹticomesرَبَّهُۥRabbahoo(to) his Lordمُجۡرِمٗاmujrimañ(as) a criminalفَإِنَّfaʹinnathen indeedلَهُۥlahoofor himجَهَنَّمَJahannam:(is) Hellلَاlaa-Notيَمُوتُyamootuhe will dieفِيهَاfeehaain itوَلَاwa-laaand notيَحۡيَىٰyaḥyaa.live٧٤
20:75وَمَنWa-mañyBut whoeverيَأۡتِهِۦyaʹtiheecomes to HimمُؤۡمِنٗاMuʹminañ(as) a believerقَدۡq̣adverilyعَمِلَʻamilaṣhe has doneٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِṣaaliḥaatithe righteous deedsفَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَfaʹulaaaʹikathen thoseلَهُمُlahumudfor themٱلدَّرَجَٰتُdarajaatul(will be) the ranksٱلۡعُلَىٰʻulaa,[the] high٧٥
