20:101خَٰلِدِينَKhaalideenaAbiding foreverفِيهِۖfeeh:in itوَسَآءَwa-saaaʹaand evilلَهُمۡlahumfor themيَوۡمَYawmal(on the) DayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِQ̣iyaamati(of) the Resurrectionحِمۡلٗاḥimlaa,(as) a load١٠١
20:102يَوۡمَYawma(The) Dayيُنفَخُyuñfakhuwill be blownفِيfiṣinٱلصُّورِۚṢoorithe Trumpetوَنَحۡشُرُwa-naḥshuruland We will gatherٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَmujrimeenathe criminalsيَوۡمَئِذٖYawmaʹiẓiñthat Dayزُرۡقٗاzurq̣aa.blue-eyed١٠٢
20:103يَتَخَٰفَتُونَYatakhaafatoonaThey are murmuringبَيۡنَهُمۡbaynahumamong themselvesإِنʹilNotلَّبِثۡتُمۡlabis̤tumyou remainedإِلَّاʹillaaexcept (for)عَشۡرٗاʻashraa;ten١٠٣
20:104نَّحۡنُNaḥnuWeأَعۡلَمُʹAʻlamuknow bestبِمَاbimaawhatيَقُولُونَyaq̣ooloonathey will sayإِذۡʹiẓwhenيَقُولُyaq̣ooluwill sayأَمۡثَلُهُمۡʹams̤aluhum(the) best of themطَرِيقَةًṬareeq̣atan(in) conductإِنʹilNotلَّبِثۡتُمۡlabis̤tumyou remainedإِلَّاʹillaaexcept (for)يَوۡمٗاyawmaa!a day١٠٤
20:105وَيَسۡـَٔلُونَكَWa-yasʹaloonakaAnd they ask youعَنِʻanilaboutٱلۡجِبَالِjibaalithe mountainsفَقُلۡfaq̣ulso sayيَنسِفُهَاyañsifuhaaWill blast themرَبِّيRabbeemy Lordنَسۡفٗاnasfaa:(into) particles١٠٥
20:107لَّاLaa-Notتَرَىٰtaraayou will seeفِيهَاfeehaain itعِوَجٗاʻiwajañwany crookednessوَلَآWalaaaand notأَمۡتٗاʹamtaa.any curve١٠٧
20:108يَوۡمَئِذٖYawmaʹiẓiñyOn that Dayيَتَّبِعُونَyattabiʻoonadthey will followٱلدَّاعِيَDaaʻiyathe callerلَاlaa-noعِوَجَʻiwajadeviationلَهُۥۖlah:from itوَخَشَعَتِwa-khashaʻatilAnd (will be) humbledٱلۡأَصۡوَاتُʹaṣwaatuthe voicesلِلرَّحۡمَٰنِlir-Raḥmaanifor the Most Graciousفَلَاfalaaso notتَسۡمَعُtasmaʻuyou will hearإِلَّاʹillaaexceptهَمۡسٗاhamsaa.a faint sound١٠٨
20:109يَوۡمَئِذٖYawmaʹiẓil(On) that Dayلَّاlaanotتَنفَعُtañfaʻushwill benefitٱلشَّفَٰعَةُShafaaʻatuthe intercessionإِلَّاʹillaaexceptمَنۡman(to) whomأَذِنَʹaẓinahas given permissionلَهُlahur[to him]ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُRaḥmaanuthe Most Graciousوَرَضِيَwa-raḍiyaand He has acceptedلَهُۥlahoofor himقَوۡلٗاq̣awlaa.a word١٠٩
20:110يَعۡلَمُYaʻlamuHe knowsمَاmaa-whatبَيۡنَbayna(is) before themأَيۡدِيهِمۡʹaydeehim(is) before themوَمَاwa-maaand whatخَلۡفَهُمۡkhalfahum(is) behind themوَلَاwa-laawhile notيُحِيطُونَyuḥeeṭoonathey encompassبِهِۦbiheeitعِلۡمٗاʻilmaa.(in) knowledge١١٠
20:111۞وَعَنَتِWa-ʻanatilAnd (will be) humbledٱلۡوُجُوهُwujoohuthe facesلِلۡحَيِّlil-Ḥayyilbefore the Ever-LivingٱلۡقَيُّومِۖQ̣ayyoom:the Self-Subsistingوَقَدۡwa-q̣adAnd verilyخَابَkhaabawill have failedمَنۡman(he) whoحَمَلَḥamalacarriedظُلۡمٗاz̤̣ulmaa.wrongdoing١١١
20:112وَمَنWa-mañyBut (he) whoيَعۡمَلۡyaʻmaldoesمِنَminaṣofٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِṣaaliḥaatithe righteous deedsوَهُوَwa-huwawhile heمُؤۡمِنٞMuʹminuñ(is) a believerفَلَاfalaathen notيَخَافُyakhaafuhe will fearظُلۡمٗاz̤̣ulmañwinjusticeوَلَاwalaaand notهَضۡمٗاhaḍmaa.deprivation١١٢
20:113وَكَذَٰلِكَWa-kaẓaalikaAnd thusأَنزَلۡنَٰهُʹañzalnaahuWe have sent it downقُرۡءَانًاQ̣ur-ʹaanan(the) QuranعَرَبِيّٗاʻArabiyyañw(in) Arabicوَصَرَّفۡنَاwaṣarrafnaaand We have explainedفِيهِfee-hiin itمِنَminalofٱلۡوَعِيدِwaʻeedithe warningsلَعَلَّهُمۡlaʻallahumthat they mayيَتَّقُونَyattaq̣oonafearأَوۡʹaworيُحۡدِثُyuḥdis̤uit may causeلَهُمۡlahum[for] themذِكۡرٗاẓikraa.remembrance١١٣
20:114فَتَعَٰلَىFataʻaalalSo high (above all)ٱللَّهُlaahul(is) AllahٱلۡمَلِكُMalikulthe KingٱلۡحَقُّۗḤaq̣q̣!the TrueوَلَاWa-laaAnd (do) notتَعۡجَلۡtaʻjalhastenبِٱلۡقُرۡءَانِbil-q̣urʹaaniwith the Quranمِنmiñbeforeقَبۡلِq̣ablibeforeأَنʹañy[that]يُقۡضَىٰٓyuq̣ḍaaais completedإِلَيۡكَʹilaykato youوَحۡيُهُۥۖwaḥyuh:its revelationوَقُلwa-q̣urand sayرَّبِّRabbiMy LordزِدۡنِيzidneeIncrease meعِلۡمٗاʻilmaa.(in) knowledge١١٤
20:115وَلَقَدۡWa-laq̣adAnd verilyعَهِدۡنَآʻahidnaaaWe made a covenantإِلَىٰٓʹilaaawithءَادَمَʹAadamaAdamمِنmiñbeforeقَبۡلُq̣ablubeforeفَنَسِيَfanasiyabut he forgotوَلَمۡwa-lamand notنَجِدۡnajidWe foundلَهُۥlahooin himعَزۡمٗاʻazmaa.determination١١٥
20:116وَإِذۡWa-ʹiẓAnd whenقُلۡنَاq̣ulnaaWe saidلِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِlilmalaaaʹikatisto the AngelsٱسۡجُدُواْjudooProstrateلِأٓدَمَliʹAadamato Adamفَسَجَدُوٓاْfasajadooothen they prostratedإِلَّآʹillaaaexceptإِبۡلِيسَʹIbleesaIblisأَبَىٰʹabaa.he refused١١٦
20:117فَقُلۡنَاFaq̣ulnaaThen We saidيَٰٓـَٔادَمُYaaaʹAadamuO AdamإِنَّʹinnaIndeedهَٰذَاhaaẓaathisعَدُوّٞʻaduwwul(is) an enemyلَّكَlakato youوَلِزَوۡجِكَwa-lizawjikaand to your wifeفَلَاfalaaSo notيُخۡرِجَنَّكُمَاyukhrijannakumaa(let) him drive you bothمِنَminalfromٱلۡجَنَّةِJannatiParadiseفَتَشۡقَىٰٓfatashq̣aa.so (that) you would suffer١١٧
20:118إِنَّʹInnaIndeedلَكَlakafor youأَلَّاʹallaathat notتَجُوعَtajooʻayou will be hungryفِيهَاfeehaathereinوَلَاwa-laaand notتَعۡرَىٰtaʻraa,you will be unclothed١١٨
20:119وَأَنَّكَWa-ʹannakaAnd that youلَاlaa-notتَظۡمَؤُاْtaz̤̣maʹuwill suffer from thirstفِيهَاfeehaathereinوَلَاwa-laaand notتَضۡحَىٰtaḍḥaa.exposed to the sun's heat١١٩
20:120فَوَسۡوَسَFawaswasaThen whisperedإِلَيۡهِʹilayhishto himٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُShayṭaanuShaitaanقَالَq̣aalahe saidيَٰٓـَٔادَمُYaaaʹAadamuO AdamهَلۡhalShallأَدُلُّكَʹadullukaI direct youعَلَىٰʻalaatoشَجَرَةِShajaratil(the) treeٱلۡخُلۡدِkhuldi(of) the Eternityوَمُلۡكٖwa-mulkiland a kingdomلَّاlaanotيَبۡلَىٰyablaa.(that will) deteriorate١٢٠
20:121فَأَكَلَاFaʹakalaaThen they both ateمِنۡهَاminhaafrom itفَبَدَتۡfabadatso became apparentلَهُمَاlahumaato themسَوۡءَٰتُهُمَاsaw-ʹaatuhumaatheir shameوَطَفِقَاwaṭafiq̣aaand they beganيَخۡصِفَانِyakhṣifaani(to) fastenعَلَيۡهِمَاʻalayhimaaon themselvesمِنmiñwfromوَرَقِwaraq̣il(the) leavesٱلۡجَنَّةِۚJannah:(of) Paradiseوَعَصَىٰٓwa-ʻaṣaaaAnd Adam disobeyedءَادَمُʹAadamuAnd Adam disobeyedرَبَّهُۥRabbahoohis Lordفَغَوَىٰfag̣awaa.and erred١٢١
20:122ثُمَّS̤ummajThenٱجۡتَبَٰهُtabaahuchose himرَبُّهُۥRabbuhoohis Lordفَتَابَfataabaand turnedعَلَيۡهِʻalayhito himوَهَدَىٰwa-hadaa.and guided (him)١٢٢
20:123قَالَQ̣aalahHe saidٱهۡبِطَاbiṭaaGo downمِنۡهَاminhaafrom itجَمِيعَۢاۖjameeʻamallبَعۡضُكُمۡbaʻḍukumsome of youلِبَعۡضٍlibaʻḍinto othersعَدُوّٞۖʻaduww:(as) enemyفَإِمَّاfaʹimmaaThen ifيَأۡتِيَنَّكُمyaʹtiyannakumcomes to youمِّنِّيminneefrom MeهُدٗىHudañguidanceفَمَنِfamanitthen whoeverٱتَّبَعَtabaʻafollowsهُدَايَHudaayaMy guidanceفَلَاfalaathen notيَضِلُّyaḍilluhe will go astrayوَلَاwa-laaand notيَشۡقَىٰyashq̣aa.suffer١٢٣
20:124وَمَنۡWa-manAnd whoeverأَعۡرَضَʹaʻraḍaturns awayعَنʻañfromذِكۡرِيẒikreeMy remembranceفَإِنَّfaʹinnathen indeedلَهُۥlahoofor himمَعِيشَةٗmaʻeeshatañ(is) a lifeضَنكٗاḍañkañwstraitenedوَنَحۡشُرُهُۥwanaḥshuruhooand We will gather himيَوۡمَYawmal(on the) DayٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِQ̣iyaamati(of) the Resurrectionأَعۡمَىٰʹaʻmaa.blind١٢٤
20:125قَالَQ̣aalaHe will sayرَبِّRabbiMy LordلِمَlimaWhyحَشَرۡتَنِيٓḥashartaneeeYou raised meأَعۡمَىٰʹaʻmaa-blindوَقَدۡwa-q̣adwhile [verily]كُنتُkuñtuI hadبَصِيرٗاbaṣeeraa?sight١٢٥
