Wa-ʹiz
And when
وَٰعَدۡنَا
waaʻadnaa
We appointed
مُوسَىٰٓ
Moosaaa
(for) Musa
أَرۡبَعِينَ
ʹarbaʻeena
forty
لَيۡلَةٗ
laylatañ
nights
ثُمَّ
s̤ummat
Then
ٱتَّخَذۡتُمُ
takhaẓtumul
you took
ٱلۡعِجۡلَ
ʻijla
the calf
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِهِۦ
baʻdihee
after him
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-añtum
and you
ظَٰلِمُونَ
z̤̣aalimoon.
(were) wrongdoers
٥١
2:52
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
عَفَوۡنَا
ʻafawnaa
We forgave
عَنكُم
ʻañkum
you
مِّنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَشۡكُرُونَ
tashkuroon.
(be) grateful
٥٢
2:53
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
ءَاتَيۡنَا
ʹaataynaa
We gave
مُوسَى
Moosal
Musa
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
Kitaaba
the Book
وَٱلۡفُرۡقَانَ
wal-Furq̣uaana
and the Criterion
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
perhaps you
تَهۡتَدُونَ
Tahtadoon.
(would be) guided
٥٣
2:54
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
قَالَ
q̣aala
said
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
لِقَوۡمِهِۦ
li-Q̣awmihee
to his people
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
إِنَّكُمۡ
ʹinnakum
Indeed you
ظَلَمۡتُمۡ
z̤̣alamtum
[you] have wronged
أَنفُسَكُم
ʹanfusakum̃
yourselves
بِٱتِّخَاذِكُمُ
bitti-khaa-ẓikumul
by your taking
ٱلۡعِجۡلَ
ʻijla
the calf
فَتُوبُوٓاْ
fatoobooo
So turn in repentance
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
بَارِئِكُمۡ
Baariʹikum
your Creator
فَٱقۡتُلُوٓاْ
faq̣tulooo
and kill
أَنفُسَكُمۡ
ʹañfusakum;
yourselves
ذَٰلِكُمۡ
ẓaalikum
That
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) better
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
عِندَ
ʻiñda
with
بَارِئِكُمۡ
Baariʹikum.
your Creator
فَتَابَ
Fataaba
Then He turned
عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ
ʻalaykum:
towards you
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
هُوَ
Huwat
He
ٱلتَّوَّابُ
Tawwaabur
(is) the-returning
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Raḥeem.
the Most Merciful
٥٤
2:55
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹIẓ
And when
قُلۡتُمۡ
q̣ultum
you said
يَٰمُوسَىٰ
yaa-Moosaa
O Musa
لَن
lan
Never
نُّؤۡمِنَ
nuʹmina
(will) we believe
لَكَ
laka
in you
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
نَرَى
naral
we see
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
جَهۡرَةٗ
Jahratañ
manifestly
فَأَخَذَتۡكُمُ
faʹakhaẓat-kumuṣ
So seized you
ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ
ṣaaʻiq̣atu
the thunderbolt
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-ʹañtum
while you
تَنظُرُونَ
tañz̤̣uroon.
(were) looking
٥٥
2:56
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
بَعَثۡنَٰكُم
baʻas̤naakum
We revived you
مِّنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مَوۡتِكُمۡ
Mawtikum
your death
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَشۡكُرُونَ
tashkuroon.
(be) grateful
٥٦
2:57
وَظَلَّلۡنَا
Wa-Z̤̣allalnaa
And We shaded
عَلَيۡكُمُ
ʻalaykumul
[over] you
ٱلۡغَمَامَ
g̣amaama
(with) [the] clouds
وَأَنزَلۡنَا
wa-ʹañzalnaa
and We sent down
عَلَيۡكُمُ
ʻalaykumul
to you
ٱلۡمَنَّ
Manna
[the] manna
وَٱلسَّلۡوَىٰۖ
was-Salwaaa:
and [the] quails
كُلُواْ
Kuloo
Eat
مِن
miñ
from
طَيِّبَٰتِ
ṭayyibaati
(the) good things
مَا
maa
that
رَزَقۡنَٰكُمۡۚ
razaq̣naakum
We have provided you
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
ظَلَمُونَا
z̤̣alamoonaa
they wronged Us
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakiñ
but
كَانُوٓاْ
kaanooo
they were
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
ʹañfusahum
(to) themselves
يَظۡلِمُونَ
yaz̤̣limoon.

وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
قُلۡنَا
q̣ulnad
We said
ٱدۡخُلُواْ
khuloo
Enter
هَٰذِهِ
haaẓihil
this
ٱلۡقَرۡيَةَ
q̣aryata
town
فَكُلُواْ
fakuloo
then eat
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
from
حَيۡثُ
ḥays̤u
wherever
شِئۡتُمۡ
shiʹtum
you wish[ed]
رَغَدٗا
rag̣adañw
abundantly
وَٱدۡخُلُواْ
wadkhulul
and enter
ٱلۡبَابَ
baaba
the gate
سُجَّدٗا
Sujjadañw
prostrating
وَقُولُواْ
wa-q̣ooloo
And say
حِطَّةٞ
ḥittatun
Repentance
نَّغۡفِرۡ
nag̣fir
We will forgive
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
خَطَٰيَٰكُمۡۚ
Khaṭaayaakum:
your sins
وَسَنَزِيدُ
wa-sanazeedul
And We will increase
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Muḥsineen.
the good-doers (in reward)
٥٨
2:59
فَبَدَّلَ
Fabaddalal
But changed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
z̤̣alamoo
wronged
قَوۡلًا
q̣awlan
(the) word
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayral
other (than)
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(that) which
قِيلَ
q̣eela
was said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
فَأَنزَلۡنَا
faʹañzalnaa
so We sent down
عَلَى
ʻalal
upon
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
z̤̣alamoo
wronged
رِجۡزٗا
rijzam
a punishment
مِّنَ
minas
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
samaaaʹi
the sky
بِمَا
bimaa
because
كَانُواْ
Kaanoo
they were
يَفۡسُقُونَ
yafsuq̣oon.
defiantly disobeying
٥٩
2:60
۞وَإِذِ
Wa-ʹiẓis
And when
ٱسۡتَسۡقَىٰ
tasq̣aa
asked (for) water
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
لِقَوۡمِهِۦ
liq̣awmihee
for his people
فَقُلۡنَا
faq̣ulnaḍ
[so] We said
ٱضۡرِب
rib
Strike
بِّعَصَاكَ
biʻAṣaakal
with your staff
ٱلۡحَجَرَۖ
ḥajar.
the stone
فَٱنفَجَرَتۡ
Fañfajarat
Then gushed forth
مِنۡهُ
minhus̤
from it
ٱثۡنَتَا
nataa
two
عَشۡرَةَ
ʻashrata
(and) ten [ie twelve]
عَيۡنٗاۖ
ʻaynaa.
springs
قَدۡ
Q̣ad
Indeed
عَلِمَ
ʻalima
knew
كُلُّ
Kullu
all
أُنَاسٖ
ʻunaasim
(the) people
مَّشۡرَبَهُمۡۖ
mashrabahum.
their drinking place
كُلُواْ
Kuloo
Eat
وَٱشۡرَبُواْ
washraboo
and drink
مِن
mir
from
رِّزۡقِ
rizq̣il
(the) provision (of)
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَلَا
walaa
and (do) not
تَعۡثَوۡاْ
taʻs̤aw
act wickedly
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
مُفۡسِدِينَ
mufsideen.
spreading corruption
٦٠
2:61
وَإِذۡ
Waʹiẓ
And when
قُلۡتُمۡ
q̣ultum
you said
يَٰمُوسَىٰ
yaa-Moosaa
O Musa
لَن
lan
Never (will)
نَّصۡبِرَ
naṣbira
we endure
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
[on]
طَعَامٖ
ṭaʻaamiñw
food
وَٰحِدٖ
waaḥidiñ
(of) one (kind)
فَٱدۡعُ
fadʻu
so pray
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
(to) your Lord
يُخۡرِجۡ
yukhrij
to bring forth
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
مِمَّا
mimmaa
out of what
تُنۢبِتُ
tumbitul
grows
ٱلۡأَرۡضُ
ʹarḍu
the earth
مِنۢ
mim
of
بَقۡلِهَا
baq̣lihaa
its herbs
وَقِثَّآئِهَا
Wa-q̣is̤s̤aaaʹihaa
[and] its cucumbers
وَفُومِهَا
Wa-foomihaa
[and] its garlic
وَعَدَسِهَا
wa-ʻadasihaa
[and] its lentils
وَبَصَلِهَاۖ
wa-baṣalihaa.
and its onions
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
أَتَسۡتَبۡدِلُونَ
ʹatastabdiloonal
Would you exchange
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
that which
هُوَ
huwa
[it]
أَدۡنَىٰ
ʹadnaa
(is) inferior
بِٱلَّذِي
billaẓee
for that which
هُوَ
huwa
[it]
خَيۡرٌۚ
Khayr?
(is) better
ٱهۡبِطُواْ
ʹIhbiṭoo
Go down
مِصۡرٗا
miṣrañ
(to) a city
فَإِنَّ
faʹinna
so indeed
لَكُم
lakum
for you
مَّا
maa
(is) what
سَأَلۡتُمۡۗ
saʹaltum.
you have asked (for)
وَضُرِبَتۡ
Waḍuribat
And were struck
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ʻalayhimuẓ
on them
ٱلذِّلَّةُ
ẓillatu
the humiliation
وَٱلۡمَسۡكَنَةُ
walmaskanah;
and the misery
وَبَآءُو
wa-baaaʹoo
and they drew on themselves
بِغَضَبٖ
big̣aḍabim
wrath
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱللَّهِۚ
laah.
Allah
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That (was)
بِأَنَّهُمۡ
biʹannahum
because they
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
used to
يَكۡفُرُونَ
yakfuroona
disbelieve
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹaayaatil
in (the) Signs
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَيَقۡتُلُونَ
wa-yaq̣tuloonan
and kill
ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ
nabiyyeena
the Prophets
بِغَيۡرِ
big̣ayril
without (any)
ٱلۡحَقِّۚ
ḥaq̣q̣.
[the] right
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
بِمَا
bimaa
(was) because
عَصَواْ
ʻaṣaw
they disobeyed
وَّكَانُواْ
Wa-kaanoo
and they were
يَعۡتَدُونَ
yaʻtadoon.
transgressing
٦١

2:62
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
وَٱلَّذِينَ
Wallaẓeena
and those who
هَادُواْ
haadoo
became Jews
وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ
wan-Naṣaaraa
and the Christians
وَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَ
waṣ-Ṣaabiʹeena
and the Sabians
مَنۡ
man
who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believed
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-Yawmil
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
ʹAakhiri
[the] Last
وَعَمِلَ
waʻamila
and did
صَٰلِحٗا
ṣaaliḥañ
righteous deeds
فَلَهُمۡ
falahum
so for them
أَجۡرُهُمۡ
ʹajruhum
their reward
عِندَ
ʻiñda
(is) with
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim:
their Lord
وَلَا
Walaa
and no
خَوۡفٌ
khawfun
fear
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʻalayhim
on them
وَلَا
walaa
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يَحۡزَنُونَ
yaḥzanoon.
will grieve
٦٢
2:63
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
أَخَذۡنَا
ʹakhaẓnaa
We took
مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ
Mees̤aaq̣akum
your covenant
وَرَفَعۡنَا
Wa-rafaʻnaa
and We raised
فَوۡقَكُمُ
fawq̣akumuṭ
over you
ٱلطُّورَ
Ṭoor:
the mount
خُذُواْ
Khuẓoo
Hold
مَآ
maaa
what
ءَاتَيۡنَٰكُم
aataynaakum̃
We have given you
بِقُوَّةٖ
biq̣uwwatiñw
with strength
وَٱذۡكُرُواْ
waẓkuroo
and remember
مَا
maa
what
فِيهِ
feehi
(is) in it
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
perhaps you
تَتَّقُونَ
tattaq̣oon.
(would become) righteous
٦٣
2:64
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
تَوَلَّيۡتُم
tawallaytum
you turned away
مِّنۢ
mim̃
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
ذَٰلِكَۖ
ẓaalik:
that
فَلَوۡلَا
Falawlaa
So if not
فَضۡلُ
faḍlul
(for the) Grace
ٱللَّهِ
lahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
upon you
وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ
wa-raḥmatuhoo
and His Mercy
لَكُنتُم
lakuñtum
surely you would have been
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡخَٰسِرِينَ
khaasireen.
the losers
٦٤
2:65
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And indeed
عَلِمۡتُمُ
ʻalimtumul
you knew
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenaʻ
those who
ٱعۡتَدَوۡاْ
tadaw
transgressed
مِنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
فِي
fis
in
ٱلسَّبۡتِ
Sabti
the (matter of) Sabbath
فَقُلۡنَا
faq̣ulnaa
So We said
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
كُونُواْ
koonoo
Be
قِرَدَةً
q̣iradatan
apes
خَٰسِـِٔينَ
khaasiʹeen!
despised
٦٥
2:66
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا
Fajaʻalnaahaa
So We made it
نَكَٰلٗا
nakaalal
a deterrent punishment
لِّمَا
limaa
for those
بَيۡنَ
bayna
(in) front
يَدَيۡهَا
yadayhaa
(of) them
وَمَا
wa-maa
and those
خَلۡفَهَا
khalfahaa
after them
وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ
wa-mawʻiz̤̣atal
and an admonition
لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil-Muttaq̣een.
for those who fear (Allah)
٦٦
2:67
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
قَالَ
q̣aala
said
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ
liq̣awmiheee
to his people
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يَأۡمُرُكُمۡ
yaʹmurukum
commands you
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَذۡبَحُواْ
taẓbaḥoo
you slaughter
بَقَرَةٗۖ
Baq̣arah.
a cow
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
أَتَتَّخِذُنَا
ʹatattakhiẓunaa
Do you take us
هُزُوٗاۖ
huzuwaa?
(in) ridicule
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
أَعُوذُ
ʹaʻooẓu
I seek refuge
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
أَنۡ
ʹan
that
أَكُونَ
ʹakoona
I be
مِنَ
minal
among
ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ
jaahileen!
the ignorant
٦٧
2:68
قَالُواْ
Q̣aalud
They said
ٱدۡعُ
ʻu
Pray
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
(to) your Lord
يُبَيِّن
yubayyil
to make clear
لَّنَا
lanaa
to us
مَا
maa-
what
هِيَۚ
hee!
it (is)
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolu
says
إِنَّهَا
ʹinnahaa
[Indeed] it
بَقَرَةٞ
baq̣aratul
(is) a cow
لَّا
laa
not
فَارِضٞ
faariḍuñw
old
وَلَا
walaa
and not
بِكۡرٌ
bikr;
young
عَوَانُۢ
ʻawaanum
middle aged
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
ذَٰلِكَۖ
ẓaalik:
that
فَٱفۡعَلُواْ
fafʻaloo
so do
مَا
maa-
what
تُؤۡمَرُونَ
tuʹmaroon.
you are commanded
٦٨
2:69
قَالُواْ
Q̣aalud
They said
ٱدۡعُ
ʻu
Pray
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
(to) your Lord
يُبَيِّن
yubayyil
to make clear
لَّنَا
lanaa
to us
مَا
maa-
what
لَوۡنُهَاۚ
lawnuhaa.
(is) its color
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolu
says
إِنَّهَا
ʹinnahaa
[Indeed] it is
بَقَرَةٞ
baq̣aratuñ
a cow
صَفۡرَآءُ
ṣafraaaʹu
yellow
فَاقِعٞ
faaq̣iʻul
bright
لَّوۡنُهَا
lawnuhaa
(in) its color
تَسُرُّ
tasurrun
pleasing
ٱلنَّٰظِرِينَ
naaz̤̣ireen.
(to) those who see (it)
٦٩

قَالُواْ
Q̣aalud
They said
ٱدۡعُ
ʻu
Pray
لَنَا
lanaa
for us
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
(to) your Lord
يُبَيِّن
yubayyil
to make clear
لَّنَا
lanaa
to us
مَا
maa-
what
هِيَ
hiya
it (is)
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱلۡبَقَرَ
baq̣ara
[the] cows
تَشَٰبَهَ
tashaabaha
look alike
عَلَيۡنَا
ʻalaynaa:
to us
وَإِنَّآ
wa-ʹinnaaa
And indeed we
إِن
ʹiñ
if
شَآءَ
shaaaʹal
wills
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لَمُهۡتَدُونَ
lamuhtadoon.
(will) surely be those who are guided
٧٠
2:71
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed He
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolu
says
إِنَّهَا
ʹinnahaa
[Indeed] it
بَقَرَةٞ
baq̣aratul
(is) a cow
لَّا
laa
not
ذَلُولٞ
ẓalooluñ
trained
تُثِيرُ
tus̤eerul
to plough
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
ʹarḍa
the earth
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
تَسۡقِي
tasq̣il
water
ٱلۡحَرۡثَ
hars̤;
the field
مُسَلَّمَةٞ
musallamatul
sound
لَّا
laa
no
شِيَةَ
shiyata
blemish
فِيهَاۚ
feehaa.
in it
قَالُواْ
Q̣aalul
They said
ٱلۡـَٰٔنَ
ʹaana
Now
جِئۡتَ
jiʹta
you have come
بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ
bilḥaq̣q̣.
with the truth
فَذَبَحُوهَا
Faẓabaḥoohaa
So they slaughtered it
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَادُواْ
kaadoo
they were near
يَفۡعَلُونَ
yafʻaloon.
(to) doing (it)
٧١
2:72
وَإِذۡ
Wa-ʹiẓ
And when
قَتَلۡتُمۡ
q̣ataltum
you killed
نَفۡسٗا
nafsañ
a man
فَٱدَّٰرَٰءۡتُمۡ
faddaaraʹtum
then you disputed
فِيهَاۖ
feehaa:
concerning it
وَٱللَّهُ
wallaahu
but Allah
مُخۡرِجٞ
mukhrijum
(is) the One Who brought forth
مَّا
maa
what
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
you were
تَكۡتُمُونَ
taktumoon.
concealing
٧٢
2:73
فَقُلۡنَا
Faq̣ulnaḍ
So We said
ٱضۡرِبُوهُ
riboohu
Strike him
بِبَعۡضِهَاۚ
bibaʻḍihaa.
with a part of it
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Like this
يُحۡيِ
yuḥyil
revives
ٱللَّهُ
laa-hul
Allah
ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ
mawtaa
the dead
وَيُرِيكُمۡ
wa-yureekum
and shows you
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ʹAayaatihee
His Signs
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
perhaps you may
تَعۡقِلُونَ
taʻq̣iloon.
use your intellect
٧٣
2:74
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
قَسَتۡ
q̣asat
hardened
قُلُوبُكُم
q̣uloobukum
your hearts
مِّنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
فَهِيَ
fahiya
so they
كَٱلۡحِجَارَةِ
kalḥijaarati
(became) like [the] stones
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أَشَدُّ
ʹashaddu
stronger
قَسۡوَةٗۚ
q̣aswah.
(in) hardness
وَإِنَّ
Wa-ʹinna
And indeed
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡحِجَارَةِ
ḥijaarati
the stones
لَمَا
lamaa
certainly (there are some) which
يَتَفَجَّرُ
yatafajjaru
gush forth
مِنۡهُ
minhul
from it
ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ
ʹanhaar;
[the] rivers
وَإِنَّ
wa-ʹinna
and indeed
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
from them
لَمَا
lamaa
certainly (there are some) which
يَشَّقَّقُ

مِنۡهُ

from it
ٱلۡمَآءُۚ
maaaʹ.
[the] water
وَإِنَّ
Wa-ʹinna
and indeed
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
from them
لَمَا
lamaa
certainly (there are some) which
يَهۡبِطُ
yahbiṭu
fall down
مِنۡ
min
from
خَشۡيَةِ
khashyatil
fear
ٱللَّهِۗ
laah.
(of) Allah
وَمَا
Wa-mal
And not
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
(is) Allah
بِغَٰفِلٍ
big̣aafilin
unaware
عَمَّا
ʻammaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloon,
you do

۞أَفَتَطۡمَعُونَ
ʹAfataṭmaʻoona
Do you hope
أَن
ʹañy
that
يُؤۡمِنُواْ
yuʹminoo
they will believe
لَكُمۡ
lakum
[for] you
وَقَدۡ
wa-q̣ad
while indeed
كَانَ
kaana
(there) has been
فَرِيقٞ
fareeq̣um
a party
مِّنۡهُمۡ
minhum
of them
يَسۡمَعُونَ
yasmaʻoona
(who used to) hear
كَلَٰمَ
Kalaamal
(the) words
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
يُحَرِّفُونَهُۥ
yuḥarri-foonahoo
they distort it
مِنۢ
mim
from
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مَا
maa-
[what]
عَقَلُوهُ
ʻaq̣aloohu
they understood it
وَهُمۡ
wa-hum
while they
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoon?
know
