with [the] Truth
وَإِنَّ
Wa-ʹinnal
And indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenakh
those
ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
talafoo
who differed
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
Kitaabi
the Book
لَفِي
lafee
(are) surely in
شِقَاقِۭ
shiq̣aaq̣im
schism
بَعِيدٖ
baʻeed.

2:177
۞لَّيۡسَ
Laysal
It is not
ٱلۡبِرَّ
birra
[the] righteousness
أَن
ʹañ
that
تُوَلُّواْ
tuwalloo
you turn
وُجُوهَكُمۡ
wujoohakum
your faces
قِبَلَ
q̣ibalal
towards
ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ
Mashriq̣i
the east
وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ
wal-Mag̣ribi
and the west
وَلَٰكِنَّ
wa-laakinnal
[and] but
ٱلۡبِرَّ
birra
the righteous[ness]
مَنۡ
man
(is he) who
ءَامَنَ
ʹaamana
believes
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-Yawmil
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِ
ʹAakhiri
[the] Last
وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
wal-malaaaʹikati
and the Angels
وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
wal-Kitaabi
and the Book
وَٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ
wan-nabiyyeen:
and the Prophets
وَءَاتَى
wa-ʹaatal
and gives
ٱلۡمَالَ
maala
the wealth
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
in
حُبِّهِۦ
ḥubbihee
spite of his love (for it)
ذَوِي
ẓawil
(to) those
ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ
q̣urbaa
(of) the near relatives
وَٱلۡيَتَٰمَىٰ
walyataamaa
and the orphans
وَٱلۡمَسَٰكِينَ
walmasaakeena
and the needy
وَٱبۡنَ
wabnas
and (of)
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
sabeeli
the wayfarer
وَٱلسَّآئِلِينَ
wassaaaʹileena
and those who ask
وَفِي
wa-fir
and in
ٱلرِّقَابِ
riq̣aab:
freeing the necks (slaves)
وَأَقَامَ
wa-ʹaq̣aamaṣ
and (who) establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
Ṣalaata
the prayer
وَءَاتَى
wa-ʹaataz
and give
ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
Zakaah;
the zakah
وَٱلۡمُوفُونَ
walmoofoona
and those who fulfill
بِعَهۡدِهِمۡ
biʻahdihim
their covenant
إِذَا
iẓaa
when
عَٰهَدُواْۖ
ʻaahadoo;
they make it
وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
waṣ-Ṣaabireena
and those who are patient
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡبَأۡسَآءِ
baʹsaaaʹi
[the] suffering
وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ
waḍḍarraaaʹi
and [the] hardship
وَحِينَ
waḥeenal
and (the) time
ٱلۡبَأۡسِۗ
baʹas.
(of) [the] stress
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹikal
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(are) the ones who
صَدَقُواْۖ
ṣadaq̣oo:
are true
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ʹulaaaʹika
and those
هُمُ
humul
[they]
ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَ
Muttaq̣oon.
(are) the righteous
١٧٧
2:178
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaaʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe[d]
كُتِبَ
kutiba
Prescribed
عَلَيۡكُمُ
ʻalaykumul
for you
ٱلۡقِصَاصُ
Q̣iṣaaṣu
(is) the legal retribution
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡقَتۡلَىۖ
q̣atlaa:
(the matter of) the murdered
ٱلۡحُرُّ
ʹalḥurru
the freeman
بِٱلۡحُرِّ
bilḥurri
for the freeman
وَٱلۡعَبۡدُ
walʻabdu
and the slave
بِٱلۡعَبۡدِ
bilʻabdi
for the slave
وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰ
wal-ʹuñs̤aa
and the female
بِٱلۡأُنثَىٰۚ
bil-ʹuñs̤aa.
for the female
فَمَنۡ
Faman
But whoever
عُفِيَ
ʻufiya
is pardoned
لَهُۥ
lahoo
[for it]
مِنۡ
min
from
أَخِيهِ
ʹakheehi
his brother
شَيۡءٞ
shayʹuñ
anything
فَٱتِّبَاعُۢ
fattibaaʻum
then follows up
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ
bilmaʻroofi
with suitable
وَأَدَآءٌ
wa-ʹadaaaʹun
[and] payment
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to him
بِإِحۡسَٰنٖۗ
biʹiḥsaan.
with kindness
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That (is)
تَخۡفِيفٞ
takhfeefum
a concession
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡ
Rabbikum
your Lord
وَرَحۡمَةٞۗ
wa-raḥmah.
and mercy
فَمَنِ
Famaniʻ
Then whoever
ٱعۡتَدَىٰ
tadaa
transgresses
بَعۡدَ
baʻda
after
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
فَلَهُۥ
falahoo
then for him
عَذَابٌ
ʻaẓaabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
ʹaleem.
painful
١٧٨
2:179
وَلَكُمۡ
Wa-lakum
And for you
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡقِصَاصِ
Q̣iṣaaṣi
the legal retribution
حَيَوٰةٞ
Ḥayaatuñy
(is) life
يَٰٓأُوْلِي
yaaaʹulil
O men
ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
ʹalbaabi
(of) understanding
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
So that you may
تَتَّقُونَ
tattaq̣oon.
(become) righteous
١٧٩
2:180
كُتِبَ
Kutiba
Prescribed
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
for you
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
حَضَرَ
ḥaḍara
approaches
أَحَدَكُمُ
ʹaḥadakumul
any of you
ٱلۡمَوۡتُ
mawtu
[the] death
إِن
ʹiñ
if
تَرَكَ
taraka
he leaves
خَيۡرًا
khayranil
good
ٱلۡوَصِيَّةُ
waṣiyyatu
(making) the will
لِلۡوَٰلِدَيۡنِ
lilwaalidayni
for the parents
وَٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَ
wal-ʹaq̣rabeena
and the near relatives
بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِۖ
bil-maʻroof;
with due fairness
حَقًّا
ḥaq̣q̣an
a duty
عَلَى
ʻalal
on
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
Muttaq̣een.
the righteous ones
١٨٠
2:181
فَمَنۢ
Famam
Then whoever
بَدَّلَهُۥ
baddalahoo
changes it
بَعۡدَ مَا
baʻdamaa
after what
سَمِعَهُۥ
samiʻahoo
he (has) heard [it]
فَإِنَّمَآ
faʹinnamaaa
so only
إِثۡمُهُۥ
ʹis̤muhoo
its sin
عَلَى
ʻalal
(would be) on
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُبَدِّلُونَهُۥٓۚ
yubaddiloonah.
alter it
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
سَمِيعٌ
Sameeʻun
(is) All-Hearing
عَلِيمٞ
ʻAleem.
All-Knowing

2:182
فَمَنۡ
Faman
But whoever
خَافَ
khaafa
fears
مِن
mim
from
مُّوصٖ
mooṣiñ
(the) testator
جَنَفًا
janafan
(any) error
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
إِثۡمٗا
ʹis̤mañ
sin
فَأَصۡلَحَ
faʹaṣlaḥa
then reconciles
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum
between them
فَلَآ
falaaa
then (there is) no
إِثۡمَ
ʹis̤ma
sin
عَلَيۡهِۚ
ʻalayh:
on him
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
All-Merciful
١٨٢
2:183
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
Yaaa-ʹayyuhal
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe[d]
كُتِبَ
kutiba
Is prescribed
عَلَيۡكُمُ
ʻalaykumuṣ
for you
ٱلصِّيَامُ
Ṣiyaamu
[the] fasting
كَمَا
kamaa
as
كُتِبَ
kutiba
was prescribed
عَلَى
ʻalal
to
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those
مِن
miñ
from
قَبۡلِكُمۡ
q̣ablikum
before you
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تَتَّقُونَ
tattaq̣oon.
(become) righteous
١٨٣
2:184
أَيَّامٗا
ʹAyyaamam
(Fasting for) days
مَّعۡدُودَٰتٖۚ
maʻdoodaat;
numbered
فَمَن
famañ
So whoever
كَانَ
kaana
is
مِنكُم
miñkum
among you
مَّرِيضًا
mareeḍan
sick
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
سَفَرٖ
safariñ
a journey
فَعِدَّةٞ
faʻiddatum
then a prescribed number
مِّنۡ
min
of
أَيَّامٍ
ʹayyaamin
days
أُخَرَۚ
ʹukhar.
other
وَعَلَى
Wa-ʻalal
And on
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُطِيقُونَهُۥ
yuṭeeq̣oonahoo
can afford it
فِدۡيَةٞ
fidyatuñ
a ransom
طَعَامُ
ṭaʻaamu
(of) feeding
مِسۡكِينٖۖ
miskeen.
a poor
فَمَن
Famañ
And whoever
تَطَوَّعَ
taṭawwaʻa
volunteers
خَيۡرٗا
khayrañ
good
فَهُوَ
fahuwa
then it
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) better
لَّهُۥۚ
lah.
for him
وَأَن
Wa-ʹañ
And to
تَصُومُواْ
taṣoomoo
fast
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) better
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
Kuñtum
you
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoon.
know
١٨٤
2:185
شَهۡرُ
Shahru
Month
رَمَضَانَ
Ramaḍaanal
(of) Ramadhaan
ٱلَّذِيٓ
laẓeee
(is) that
أُنزِلَ
ʹuñzila
was revealed
فِيهِ
feehil
therein
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ
Q̣urʹaanu
the Quran
هُدٗى
hudal
a Guidance
لِّلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for mankind
وَبَيِّنَٰتٖ
wa-bayyinaatim
and clear proofs
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡهُدَىٰ
hudaa
[the] Guidance
وَٱلۡفُرۡقَانِۚ
wal-furq̣aan.
and the Criterion
فَمَن
Famañ
So whoever
شَهِدَ
shahida
witnesses
مِنكُمُ
miñkumush
among you
ٱلشَّهۡرَ
Shahra
the month
فَلۡيَصُمۡهُۖ
fal-yaṣumh.
then he should fast in it
وَمَن
Wa-mañ
and whoever
كَانَ
kaana
is
مَرِيضًا
mareeḍan
sick
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
سَفَرٖ
safariñ
a journey
فَعِدَّةٞ
faʻiddatum
then prescribed number (should be made up)
مِّنۡ
min
from
أَيَّامٍ
ʹayyaamin
days
أُخَرَۗ
ʹukhar.
other
يُرِيدُ
Yureedul
Intends
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
بِكُمُ
bikumul
for you
ٱلۡيُسۡرَ
yusra
[the] ease
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
يُرِيدُ
yureedu
intends
بِكُمُ
bikumul
for you
ٱلۡعُسۡرَ
ʻusr.
[the] hardship
وَلِتُكۡمِلُواْ
Wa-litukmilul
so that you complete
ٱلۡعِدَّةَ
ʻiddata
the prescribed period
وَلِتُكَبِّرُواْ
wa-litukabbirul
and that you magnify
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
for
مَا
maa-
[what]
هَدَىٰكُمۡ
hadaakum
He guided you
وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ
wa-laʻallakum
so that you may
تَشۡكُرُونَ
tashkuroon.
(be) grateful
١٨٥
2:186
وَإِذَا
Wa-ʹiẓaa
And when
سَأَلَكَ
saʹalaka
ask you
عِبَادِي
ʻibaadee
My servants
عَنِّي
ʻannee
about Me
فَإِنِّي
faʹinnee
then indeed I am
قَرِيبٌۖ
Q̣areeb:
near
أُجِيبُ
ʹujeebu
I respond
دَعۡوَةَ
daʻwatad
(to the) invocation
ٱلدَّاعِ
daaʻi
(of) the supplicant
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
دَعَانِۖ
daʻaani
he calls Me
فَلۡيَسۡتَجِيبُواْ
falyastajeeboo
So let them respond
لِي
lee
to Me
وَلۡيُؤۡمِنُواْ
wal-yuʹminoo
and let them believe
بِي
bee
in Me
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallahum
so that they may
يَرۡشُدُونَ
yarshudoon.
(be) led aright
١٨٦

2:187
أُحِلَّ
ʹUḥilla
Permitted
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
لَيۡلَةَ
laylataṣ
(in the) nights
ٱلصِّيَامِ
Ṣiyaamir
(of) fasting
ٱلرَّفَثُ
rafas̤u
(is) the approach
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
نِسَآئِكُمۡۚ
nisaaaʹikum.
your wives
هُنَّ
Hunna
They
لِبَاسٞ
libaasul
(are) garments
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-ʹañtum
and you
لِبَاسٞ
libaasul
(are) garments
لَّهُنَّۗ
lahunn.
for them
عَلِمَ
ʻAlimal
Knows
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
أَنَّكُمۡ
ʹannaakum
that you
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
used to
تَخۡتَانُونَ
takhtaanoona
deceive
أَنفُسَكُمۡ
ʹañfusakum
yourselves
فَتَابَ
fataaba
so He turned
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
towards you
وَعَفَا
wa-ʻafaa
and He forgave
عَنكُمۡۖ
ʻañkum;
[on] you
فَٱلۡـَٰٔنَ
falʹaana
So now
بَٰشِرُوهُنَّ
baashiroohunna
have relations with them
وَٱبۡتَغُواْ
wabtag̣oo
and seek
مَا
maa-
what
كَتَبَ
katabal
has ordained
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
لَكُمۡۚ
lakum,
for you
وَكُلُواْ
wa-kuloo
And eat
وَٱشۡرَبُواْ
washraboo
and drink
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
يَتَبَيَّنَ
yatabayyana
becomes distinct
لَكُمُ
lakumul
to you
ٱلۡخَيۡطُ
khayṭul
the thread
ٱلۡأَبۡيَضُ
ʹabyaḍu
[the] white
مِنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡخَيۡطِ
khayṭil
the thread
ٱلۡأَسۡوَدِ
ʹaswadi
[the] black
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡفَجۡرِۖ
Fajr.
[the] dawn
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
أَتِمُّواْ
ʹatimmuṣ
complete
ٱلصِّيَامَ
ṣiyaama
the fast
إِلَى
ʹilal
till
ٱلَّيۡلِۚ
layl;
the night
وَلَا
wa-laa
And (do) not
تُبَٰشِرُوهُنَّ
tubaashiroohunna
have relations with them
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-ʹañtum
while you
عَٰكِفُونَ
ʻaakifoona
(are) secluded
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡمَسَٰجِدِۗ
masaajid.
the masajid
تِلۡكَ
Tilka
These
حُدُودُ
ḥudoodul
(are the) limits
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(set by) Allah
فَلَا
falaa
so (do) not
تَقۡرَبُوهَاۗ
taq̣raboohaa.
approach them
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Thus
يُبَيِّنُ
yubayyinul
makes clear
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
ʹAayaatihee
His verses
لِلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for [the] people
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
laʻallaahum
so that they may
يَتَّقُونَ
yattaq̣oon.
(become) righteous
١٨٧
2:188
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَأۡكُلُوٓاْ
taʹkulooo
eat
أَمۡوَٰلَكُم
ʹamwaalakum̃
your properties
بَيۡنَكُم
baynakum̃
among yourselves
بِٱلۡبَٰطِلِ
bilbaaṭili
wrongfully
وَتُدۡلُواْ
wa-tudloo
and present
بِهَآ
bihaaa
[with] it
إِلَى
ʹilal
to
ٱلۡحُكَّامِ
ḥukkaami
the authorities
لِتَأۡكُلُواْ
litaʹkuloo
so that you may eat
فَرِيقٗا
fareeq̣am
a portion
مِّنۡ
min
from
أَمۡوَٰلِ
ʹamwaalin
(the) wealth
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
(of) the people
بِٱلۡإِثۡمِ
bil-ʹis̤mi
sinfully
وَأَنتُمۡ
wa-ʹañtum
while you
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoon.
know
١٨٨
2:189
۞يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ
Yasʹaloonaka
They ask you
عَنِ
ʻanil
about
ٱلۡأَهِلَّةِۖ
ʹAhillah.
the new moons
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
هِيَ
hiya
They
مَوَٰقِيتُ
mawaaq̣eetu
(are) indicators of periods
لِلنَّاسِ
linnaasi
for the people
وَٱلۡحَجِّۗ
wal-Ḥajj.
and (for) the Hajj
وَلَيۡسَ
Wa-laysal
And it is not
ٱلۡبِرُّ
birru
[the] righteousness
بِأَن
biʹañ
that
تَأۡتُواْ
taʹtul
you come
ٱلۡبُيُوتَ
buyoota
(to) the houses
مِن
miñ
from
ظُهُورِهَا
z̤̣uhoorihaa
their backs
وَلَٰكِنَّ
wa-laakinnal
[and] but
ٱلۡبِرَّ
birra
[the] righteous
مَنِ
manit
(is one) who
ٱتَّقَىٰۗ
taq̣aa.
fears (Allah)
وَأۡتُواْ
Waʹtul
And come
ٱلۡبُيُوتَ
buyoota
(to) the houses
مِنۡ
min
from
أَبۡوَٰبِهَاۚ
ʹabwaabihaa
their doors
وَٱتَّقُواْ
wattaq̣ul
And fear
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʻallakum
so that you may
تُفۡلِحُونَ
tufliḥoon.
(be) successful
١٨٩
2:190
وَقَٰتِلُواْ
Wa-q̣aatiloo
And fight
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahil
(of) Allah
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمۡ
yuq̣aatiloonakum
fight you
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَعۡتَدُوٓاْۚ
taʻtadoo;
transgress
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
like
ٱلۡمُعۡتَدِينَ
muʻtadeen.
the transgressors
١٩٠

2:191
وَٱقۡتُلُوهُمۡ
Waq̣-tuloohum
And kill them
حَيۡثُ
ḥays̤u
wherever
ثَقِفۡتُمُوهُمۡ
s̤aq̣iftumoohum
you find them
وَأَخۡرِجُوهُم
wa-ʹakhrijoohum
and drive them out
مِّنۡ
min
from
حَيۡثُ
ḥays̤u
wherever
أَخۡرَجُوكُمۡۚ
ʹakhrajookum
they drove you out
وَٱلۡفِتۡنَةُ
walfitnatu
and [the] oppression
أَشَدُّ
ʹashaddu
(is) worse
مِنَ
minal
than
ٱلۡقَتۡلِۚ
q̣atl.
[the] killing
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تُقَٰتِلُوهُمۡ
tuq̣aatiloohum
fight them
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
near
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
Masjidil
Al-Masjid
ٱلۡحَرَامِ
Ḥaraami
Al-Haraam
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
يُقَٰتِلُوكُمۡ
yuq̣aatilookum
they fight you
فِيهِۖ
feeh;
in it
فَإِن
faʹiñ
Then if
قَٰتَلُوكُمۡ
q̣aatalookum
they fight you
فَٱقۡتُلُوهُمۡۗ
faq̣-tuloohum.
then kill them
كَذَٰلِكَ
Kaẓaalika
Such
جَزَآءُ
jazaaaʹul
(is the) reward
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireen.
(of) the disbelievers
١٩١
2:192
فَإِنِ
Faʹiniñ
Then if
ٱنتَهَوۡاْ
tahaw
they cease
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١٩٢
2:193
وَقَٰتِلُوهُمۡ
Wa-q̣aatiloohum
And fight (against) them
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattaa
until
لَا
laa-
not
تَكُونَ
takoona
(there) is
فِتۡنَةٞ
fitnatuñw
oppression
وَيَكُونَ
wayakoonad
and becomes
ٱلدِّينُ
Deenu
the religion
لِلَّهِۖ
lillaah;
for Allah
فَإِنِ
faʹiniñ
Then if
ٱنتَهَوۡاْ
tahaw

hostility
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
عَلَى
ʻalaz̤̣
against
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeen.
the oppressors

2:194
ٱلشَّهۡرُ
ʹAsh-Shahrul
The month
ٱلۡحَرَامُ
Ḥaraamu
[the] sacred
بِٱلشَّهۡرِ
bish-Shahril
(is) for the month
ٱلۡحَرَامِ
Ḥaraami
[the] sacred
وَٱلۡحُرُمَٰتُ
wal-ḥurumaatu
and for all the violations
قِصَاصٞۚ
q̣iṣaaṣ.
(is) legal retribution
فَمَنِ
Famaniʻ
Then whoever
ٱعۡتَدَىٰ
tadaa
transgressed
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
upon you
فَٱعۡتَدُواْ
faʻtadoo
then you transgress
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
on him
بِمِثۡلِ
bimis̤li
in (the) same manner
مَا
maʻ
(as)
ٱعۡتَدَىٰ
tadaa
he transgressed
عَلَيۡكُمۡۚ
ʻalaykum.
upon you
وَٱتَّقُواْ
Wattaq̣ul
And fear
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
waʻlamooo
and know
أَنَّ
ʹannal
that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَعَ
maʻal
(is) with
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
Muttaq̣een.
those who fear (Him)
١٩٤
2:195
وَأَنفِقُواْ
Wa-ʻañfiq̣oo
And spend
فِي
fee
in
سَبِيلِ
sabeelil
(the) way
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تُلۡقُواْ
tulq̣oo
throw (yourselves)
بِأَيۡدِيكُمۡ
biʹaydeekum
[with your hands]
إِلَى
ʹilat
into
ٱلتَّهۡلُكَةِ
tahlukah.
[the] destruction
وَأَحۡسِنُوٓاْۚ
Wa-ʹaḥsinooo
And do good
إِنَّ
ʹinnal
indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbul
loves
ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Muḥsineen.
the good-doers
١٩٥
2:196
وَأَتِمُّواْ
Wa-ʹatimmul
And complete
ٱلۡحَجَّ
Ḥajja
the Hajj
وَٱلۡعُمۡرَةَ
wal-ʻumrata
and the Umrah
لِلَّهِۚ
lillaah.
for Allah
فَإِنۡ
Faʹin
And if
أُحۡصِرۡتُمۡ
ʹuḥṣirtum
you are held back
فَمَا
famas
then (offer) whatever
ٱسۡتَيۡسَرَ
taysara
(can be) obtained with ease
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡهَدۡيِۖ
hadyi,
the sacrificial animal
وَلَا
wa-laa
And (do) not
تَحۡلِقُواْ
taḥliq̣oo
shave
رُءُوسَكُمۡ
ruʹoosakum
your heads
حَتَّىٰ
ḥattan
until
يَبۡلُغَ
yablug̣al
reaches
ٱلۡهَدۡيُ
hadyu
the sacrificial animal
مَحِلَّهُۥۚ
maḥillah.
(to) its destination
فَمَن
Famañ
Then whoever
كَانَ
kaana
is
مِنكُم
miñkum
among you
مَّرِيضًا
mareeḍan
ill
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
بِهِۦٓ
biheee
he (has)
أَذٗى
ʹaẓam
an ailment
مِّن
mir
of
رَّأۡسِهِۦ
raʹsihee
his head
فَفِدۡيَةٞ
fafidyatum
then a ransom
مِّن
miñ
of
صِيَامٍ
ṣiyaamin
fasting
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
صَدَقَةٍ
ṣadaq̣atin
charity
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
نُسُكٖۚ
nusuk.
sacrifice
فَإِذَآ
Faʹiẓaaa
Then when
أَمِنتُمۡ
ʹamiñtum,
you are secure
فَمَن
famañ
then whoever
تَمَتَّعَ
tamattaʻa
took advantage
بِٱلۡعُمۡرَةِ
bil-Umrati
of the Umrah
إِلَى
ʹilal
followed
ٱلۡحَجِّ
Ḥajji
(by) the Hajj
فَمَا
famas
then (offer) whatever
ٱسۡتَيۡسَرَ
taysara
(can be) obtained with ease
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡهَدۡيِۚ
hadyi.
the sacrificial animal
فَمَن
Famal
But whoever
لَّمۡ
lam
(can) not
يَجِدۡ
yajid
find
فَصِيَامُ
faṣiyaamu
then a fast
ثَلَٰثَةِ
s̤alaas̤ati
(of) three
أَيَّامٖ
ʹayyaamiñ
days
فِي
fil
during
ٱلۡحَجِّ
Ḥajji
the Hajj
وَسَبۡعَةٍ
wa-sabʻatin
and seven (days)
إِذَا
ʹiẓaa
when
رَجَعۡتُمۡۗ
rajaʻtum.
you return
تِلۡكَ
Tilka
This
عَشَرَةٞ
ʹasharatuñ
(is) ten (days)
كَامِلَةٞۗ
kaamilah.
in all
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
لِمَن
limal
(is) for (the one) whose
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَكُنۡ
yakun
is
أَهۡلُهُۥ
ʹahluhoo
his family
حَاضِرِي
ḥaaḍiril
present
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
Masjidil
(near) Al-Masjid
ٱلۡحَرَامِۚ
Ḥaraam.
Al-Haraam
وَٱتَّقُواْ
Wattaq̣ul
And fear
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ
waʻlamooo
and know
أَنَّ
ʹannal
that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
شَدِيدُ
Shadeedul
(is) severe
ٱلۡعِقَابِ
ʻiq̣aab.
(in) retribution

ٱلۡحَجُّ
ʹAl-Ḥajju
(For) the Hajj
أَشۡهُرٞ
ʹashhurum
(are) months
مَّعۡلُومَٰتٞۚ
maʻ-loomaat.
well known
فَمَن
Famañ
then whoever
فَرَضَ
faraḍa
undertakes
فِيهِنَّ
feehinnal
therein
ٱلۡحَجَّ
Ḥajja
the Hajj
فَلَا
falaa
then no
رَفَثَ
rafas̤a
sexual relations
وَلَا
wa-laa
and no
فُسُوقَ
fusooq̣a
wickedness
وَلَا
wa-laa
and no
جِدَالَ
jidaala
quarrelling
فِي
fil
during
ٱلۡحَجِّۗ
Ḥajj.
the Hajj
وَمَا
Wa-maa
And whatever
تَفۡعَلُواْ
tafʻaloo
you do
مِنۡ
min
of
خَيۡرٖ
khayriñy
good
يَعۡلَمۡهُ
yaʻlamhul
knows it
ٱللَّهُۗ
laah.
Allah
وَتَزَوَّدُواْ
Wa-tazawwadoo
And take provision
فَإِنَّ
faʹinna
(but) indeed
خَيۡرَ
khayraz
(the) best
ٱلزَّادِ
zaadit
provision
ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰۖ
taq̣waa.
(is) righteousness
وَٱتَّقُونِ
Wattaq̣ooni
And fear Me
يَٰٓأُوْلِي
yaaaʹulil
O men
ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ
ʹalbaab.
(of) understanding
١٩٧
2:198
لَيۡسَ
Laysa
Not is
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
on you
جُنَاحٌ
junaaḥun
any sin
أَن
ʹañ
that
تَبۡتَغُواْ
tabtag̣oo
you seek
فَضۡلٗا
faḍ-lam
bounty
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّكُمۡۚ
Rabbikum.
your Lord
فَإِذَآ
Faʹiẓaaa
And when
أَفَضۡتُم
ʹafaḍtum
you depart
مِّنۡ
min
from
عَرَفَٰتٖ
ʻArafaatiñ
(Mount) Arafat
فَٱذۡكُرُواْ
faẓkurul
then remember
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
عِندَ
ʻiñdal
near
ٱلۡمَشۡعَرِ
Mashʻaril
the Monument
ٱلۡحَرَامِۖ
Ḥaraam.
[the] Sacred
وَٱذۡكُرُوهُ
Waẓ-kuroohu
And remember Him
كَمَا
kamaa
as
هَدَىٰكُمۡ
hadaakum.
He (has) guided you
وَإِن
wa-ʹiñ
[and] though
كُنتُم
kuñtum
you were
مِّن
miñ
[from]
قَبۡلِهِۦ
q̣ablihee
before [it]
لَمِنَ
laminaḍ
surely among
ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
ḍaaalleeen.
those who went astray
١٩٨
2:199
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
أَفِيضُواْ
ʹafeeḍoo
depart
مِنۡ
min
from
حَيۡثُ
ḥays̤u
wherever
أَفَاضَ
ʹafaaḍan
depart
ٱلنَّاسُ
naasu
the people
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ
wastag̣firul
and ask forgiveness
ٱللَّهَۚ
laah.
(of) Allah
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١٩٩
2:200
فَإِذَا
Faʹiẓaa
Then when
قَضَيۡتُم
q̣adaytum
you complete[d]
مَّنَٰسِكَكُمۡ
manaasikakum
your acts of worship
فَٱذۡكُرُواْ
faẓkurul
then remember
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
كَذِكۡرِكُمۡ
kazikrikum,
as you remember
ءَابَآءَكُمۡ
ʹaabaaaʹakum
your forefathers
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أَشَدَّ
ʹashadda
(with) greater
ذِكۡرٗاۗ
ẓikraa.
remembrance
فَمِنَ
Faminan
And from
ٱلنَّاسِ
naasi
the people
مَن
mañy
who
يَقُولُ
yaq̣oolu
say
رَبَّنَآ
Rabbanaaa
Our Lord
ءَاتِنَا
ʹaatinaa
Grant us
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
لَهُۥ
lahoo
for him
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
مِنۡ
min
[of]
خَلَٰقٖ
khalaaq̣.
any share
