وَإِذۡ

And when

رَبِّ

ٱجۡعَلۡ

هَٰذَا
hadha
this
بَلَدًا
baladan
a city
ءَامِنٗا
aminan
secure
وَٱرۡزُقۡ
wa-ur'zuq
and provide
أَهۡلَهُۥ
ahlahu
its people
مِنَ
mina
with
ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ
al-thamarati
fruits
مَنۡ
man
(to) whoever
ءَامَنَ
amana
believed
مِنۡهُم
min'hum
from them
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ
wal-yawmi
and the Day
ٱلۡأٓخِرِۚ
al-akhiri
the Last
قَالَ
qala
He said
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
كَفَرَ
kafara
disbelieved
فَأُمَتِّعُهُۥ
fa-umatti'uhu
[then] I will grant him enjoyment
قَلِيلٗا
qalilan
a little
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
أَضۡطَرُّهُۥٓ
adtarruhu
I will force him
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
عَذَابِ
adhabi
(the) punishment
ٱلنَّارِۖ
al-nari
(of) the Fire
وَبِئۡسَ
wabi'sa
and evil
ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
al-masiru
(is) the destination
١٢٦

2:127
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
يَرۡفَعُ
yarfa'u
(was) raising
إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمُ
ib'rahimu
Ibrahim
ٱلۡقَوَاعِدَ
al-qawa'ida
the foundations
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡبَيۡتِ
al-bayti
the House
وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلُ
wa-is'ma'ilu
and Ishmael
رَبَّنَا
rabbana
(saying) Our Lord
تَقَبَّلۡ
taqabbal
Accept
مِنَّآۖ
minna
from us
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed You
أَنتَ
anta
[You] (are)
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
al-sami'u
the All-Hearing
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
al-'alimu
the All-Knowing
١٢٧
2:128
رَبَّنَا
rabbana
Our Lord
وَٱجۡعَلۡنَا
wa-ij'alna
[and] Make us
مُسۡلِمَيۡنِ
mus'limayni
both submissive
لَكَ
laka
to You
وَمِن
wamin
And from
ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ
dhurriyyatina
our offspring
أُمَّةٗ
ummatan
a community
مُّسۡلِمَةٗ
mus'limatan
submissive
لَّكَ
laka
to You
وَأَرِنَا
wa-arina
And show us
مَنَاسِكَنَا
manasikana
our ways of worship
وَتُبۡ
watub
and turn
عَلَيۡنَآۖ
alayna
to us
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed You
أَنتَ
anta
[You] (are)
ٱلتَّوَّابُ
al-tawabu
the Oft-returning
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
al-rahimu
the Most Merciful
١٢٨
2:129
رَبَّنَا
rabbana
Our Lord
وَٱبۡعَثۡ
wa-ib'ath
[And] raise up
فِيهِمۡ
fihim
in them
رَسُولٗا
rasulan
a Messenger
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
from them
يَتۡلُواْ
yatlu
(who) will recite
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
to them
ءَايَٰتِكَ
ayatika
Your Verses
وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ
wayu'allimuhumu
and will teach them
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ
wal-hik'mata
and the wisdom
وَيُزَكِّيهِمۡۖ
wayuzakkihim
and purify them
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed You
أَنتَ
anta
You (are)
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
the All-Mighty
ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
al-hakimu
the All-Wise
١٢٩
2:130
وَمَن
waman
And who
يَرۡغَبُ
yarghabu
will turn away
عَن
an
from
مِّلَّةِ
millati
(the) religion
إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ
ib'rahima
(of) Ibrahim
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَن
man
who
سَفِهَ
safiha
fooled
نَفۡسَهُۥۚ
nafsahu
himself
وَلَقَدِ
walaqadi
And indeed
ٱصۡطَفَيۡنَٰهُ
is'tafaynahu
We chose him
فِي
fi
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ
al-dun'ya
the world
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-innahu
and indeed he
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
لَمِنَ
lamina
surely (will be) among
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
al-salihina
the righteous
١٣٠
2:131
إِذۡ
idh
When
قَالَ
qala
said
لَهُۥ
lahu
to him
رَبُّهُۥٓ
rabbuhu
his Lord
أَسۡلِمۡۖ
aslim
Submit (yourself)
قَالَ
qala
he said
أَسۡلَمۡتُ
aslamtu
I (have) submitted (myself)
لِرَبِّ
lirabbi
to (the) Lord
ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
al-'alamina
(of) the worlds
١٣١
2:132
وَوَصَّىٰ
wawassa
And enjoined
بِهَآ
biha
[it]
إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمُ
ib'rahimu
Ibrahim
بَنِيهِ
banihi
(upon) his sons
وَيَعۡقُوبُ
waya'qubu
and Yaqub
يَٰبَنِيَّ
yabaniyya
O my sons
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
ٱصۡطَفَىٰ
is'tafa
has chosen
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلدِّينَ
al-dina
the religion
فَلَا
fala
so not
تَمُوتُنَّ
tamutunna
(should) you die
إِلَّا
illa
except
وَأَنتُم
wa-antum
while you
مُّسۡلِمُونَ
mus'limuna
(are) submissive
١٣٢
2:133
أَمۡ
am
Or
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
were you
شُهَدَآءَ
shuhadaa
witnesses
إِذۡ
idh
when
حَضَرَ
hadara
came to
يَعۡقُوبَ
ya'quba
Yaqub
ٱلۡمَوۡتُ
al-mawtu
[the] death
إِذۡ
idh
when
قَالَ
qala
he said
لِبَنِيهِ
libanihi
to his sons
مَا
ma
What
تَعۡبُدُونَ
ta'buduna
will you worship
مِنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِيۖ
ba'di
after me
قَالُواْ
qalu
They said
نَعۡبُدُ
na'budu
We will worship
إِلَٰهَكَ
ilahaka
your God
وَإِلَٰهَ
wa-ilaha
and (the) God
ءَابَآئِكَ
abaika
(of) your forefathers
إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ
ib'rahima
Ibrahim
وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ
wa-is'ma'ila
and Ishmael
وَإِسۡحَٰقَ
wa-is'haqa
and Isaac
إِلَٰهٗا
ilahan
God
وَٰحِدٗا
wahidan
One
وَنَحۡنُ
wanahnu
And we
لَهُۥ
lahu
to Him
مُسۡلِمُونَ
mus'limuna
(are) submissive
١٣٣
2:134
تِلۡكَ
til'ka
This
أُمَّةٞ
ummatun
(was) a community
قَدۡ
qad
(which)
خَلَتۡۖ
khalat
has passed away
لَهَا
laha
for it
مَا
ma
what
كَسَبَتۡ
kasabat
it earned
وَلَكُم
walakum
and for you
مَّا
ma
what
كَسَبۡتُمۡۖ
kasabtum
you have earned
وَلَا
wala
And not
تُسۡـَٔلُونَ
tus'aluna
you will be asked
عَمَّا
amma
about what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
do

وَقَالُواْ
waqalu
And they said
كُونُواْ
kunu
Be
هُودًا
hudan
Jews
أَوۡ
aw
or
نَصَٰرَىٰ
nasara
Christians
تَهۡتَدُواْۗ
tahtadu
(then) you will be guided
قُلۡ
qul
Say
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
مِلَّةَ
millata
(the) religion
إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ
ib'rahima
(of) Ibrahim
حَنِيفٗاۖ
hanifan
(the) upright
وَمَا
wama
and not
كَانَ
kana
he was
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
al-mush'rikina
those who associated partners (with Allah)
١٣٥
2:136
قُولُوٓاْ
qulu
Say
ءَامَنَّا
amanna
We have believed
بِٱللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
وَمَآ
wama
and what
أُنزِلَ
unzila
(is) revealed
إِلَيۡنَا
ilayna
to us
وَمَآ
wama
and what
أُنزِلَ
unzila
was revealed
إِلَىٰٓ
ila
to
إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ
ib'rahima
Ibrahim
وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ
wa-is'ma'ila
and Ishmael
وَإِسۡحَٰقَ
wa-is'haqa
and Isaac
وَيَعۡقُوبَ
waya'quba
and Yaqub
وَٱلۡأَسۡبَاطِ
wal-asbati
and the descendants
وَمَآ
wama
and what
أُوتِيَ
utiya
was given
مُوسَىٰ
musa
(to) Musa
وَعِيسَىٰ
wa'isa
and Isa
وَمَآ
wama
and what
أُوتِيَ
utiya
was given
ٱلنَّبِيُّونَ
al-nabiyuna
(to) the Prophets
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّهِمۡ
rabbihim
their Lord
لَا
la
Not
نُفَرِّقُ
nufarriqu
we make distinction
بَيۡنَ
bayna
between
أَحَدٖ
ahadin
any
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
وَنَحۡنُ
wanahnu
And we
لَهُۥ
lahu
to Him
مُسۡلِمُونَ
mus'limuna
(are) submissive
١٣٦
2:137
فَإِنۡ
fa-in
So if
ءَامَنُواْ
amanu
they believe[d]
بِمِثۡلِ
bimith'li
in (the) like
مَآ
ma
(of) what
ءَامَنتُم
amantum
you have believed
بِهِۦ
bihi
in [it]
فَقَدِ
faqadi
then indeed
ٱهۡتَدَواْۖ
ih'tadaw
they are (rightly) guided
وَّإِن
wa-in
But if
تَوَلَّوۡاْ
tawallaw
they turn away
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
then only
هُمۡ
hum
they
فِي
fi
(are) in
شِقَاقٖۖ
shiqaqin
dissension
فَسَيَكۡفِيكَهُمُ
fasayakfikahumu
So will suffice you against them
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
al-sami'u
(is) the All-Hearing
ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
al-'alimu
the All-Knowing
١٣٧
2:138
صِبۡغَةَ
sib'ghata
(The) color (religion)
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
وَمَنۡ
waman
And who
أَحۡسَنُ
ahsanu
(is) better
مِنَ
mina
than
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
صِبۡغَةٗۖ
sib'ghatan
at coloring
وَنَحۡنُ
wanahnu
And we
لَهُۥ
lahu
to Him
عَٰبِدُونَ
abiduna
(are) worshippers
١٣٨
2:139
قُلۡ
qul
Say
أَتُحَآجُّونَنَا
atuhajjunana
Do you argue with us
فِي
fi
about
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
while He
رَبُّنَا
rabbuna
(is) our Lord
وَرَبُّكُمۡ
warabbukum
and your Lord
وَلَنَآ
walana
And for us
أَعۡمَٰلُنَا
a'maluna
(are) our deeds
وَلَكُمۡ
walakum
and for you
أَعۡمَٰلُكُمۡ
a'malukum
(are) your deeds
وَنَحۡنُ
wanahnu
and we
لَهُۥ
lahu
to Him
مُخۡلِصُونَ
mukh'lisuna
(are) sincere
١٣٩
2:140
أَمۡ
am
Or
تَقُولُونَ
taquluna
(do) you say
إِنَّ
inna
that
إِبۡرَٰهِـۧمَ
ib'rahima
Ibrahim
وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ
wa-is'ma'ila
and Ishmael
وَإِسۡحَٰقَ
wa-is'haqa
and Isaac
وَيَعۡقُوبَ
waya'quba
and Yaqub
وَٱلۡأَسۡبَاطَ
wal-asbata
and the descendants
كَانُواْ
kanu
were
هُودًا
hudan
Jews
أَوۡ
aw
or
نَصَٰرَىٰۗ
nasara
Christians
قُلۡ
qul
Say
ءَأَنتُمۡ
a-antum
Are you
أَعۡلَمُ
a'lamu
better knowing
أَمِ
ami
or
ٱللَّهُۗ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
وَمَنۡ
waman
And who
أَظۡلَمُ
azlamu
(is) more unjust
مِمَّن
mimman
than (the one) who
كَتَمَ
katama
concealed
شَهَٰدَةً
shahadatan
a testimony
عِندَهُۥ
indahu
(that) he has
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱللَّهِۗ
al-lahi
Allah
وَمَا
wama
And not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
بِغَٰفِلٍ
bighafilin
unaware
عَمَّا
amma
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
١٤٠
2:141
تِلۡكَ
til'ka
This
أُمَّةٞ
ummatun
(was) a community
قَدۡ
qad
(which)
خَلَتۡۖ
khalat
has passed away
لَهَا
laha
for it
مَا
ma
what
كَسَبَتۡ
kasabat
it earned
وَلَكُم
walakum
and for you
مَّا
ma
what
كَسَبۡتُمۡۖ
kasabtum
you have earned
وَلَا
wala
And not
تُسۡـَٔلُونَ
tus'aluna
you will be asked
عَمَّا
amma
about what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used to
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna

۞سَيَقُولُ
sayaqulu
Will say
ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ
al-sufahau
the foolish ones
مِنَ
mina
from
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the people
مَا
ma
What
وَلَّىٰهُمۡ
wallahum
(has) turned them
عَن
an
from
قِبۡلَتِهِمُ
qib'latihimu
their direction of prayer
ٱلَّتِي
allati
which
كَانُواْ
kanu
they were used to
عَلَيۡهَاۚ
alayha
[on it]
قُل
qul
Say
لِّلَّهِ
lillahi
For Allah
ٱلۡمَشۡرِقُ
al-mashriqu
(is) the east
وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبُۚ
wal-maghribu
and the west
يَهۡدِي
yahdi
He guides
مَن
man
whom
يَشَآءُ
yashau
He wills
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
صِرَٰطٖ
siratin
a path
مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
mus'taqimin
straight
١٤٢
2:143
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhalika
And thus
جَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ
ja'alnakum
We made you
أُمَّةٗ
ummatan
a community
وَسَطٗا
wasatan
(of the) middle way
لِّتَكُونُواْ
litakunu
so that you will be
شُهَدَآءَ
shuhadaa
witnesses
عَلَى
ala
over
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
the mankind
وَيَكُونَ
wayakuna
and will be
ٱلرَّسُولُ
al-rasulu
the Messenger
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
on you
شَهِيدٗاۗ
shahidan
a witness
وَمَا
wama
And not
جَعَلۡنَا
ja'alna
We made
ٱلۡقِبۡلَةَ
al-qib'lata
the direction of prayer
ٱلَّتِي
allati
which
كُنتَ
kunta
you were used to
عَلَيۡهَآ
alayha
[on it]
إِلَّا
illa
except
لِنَعۡلَمَ
lina'lama
that We make evident
مَن
man
(he) who
يَتَّبِعُ
yattabi'u
follows
ٱلرَّسُولَ
al-rasula
the Messenger
مِمَّن
mimman
from (he) who
يَنقَلِبُ
yanqalibu
turns back
عَلَىٰ
ala
on
عَقِبَيۡهِۚ
aqibayhi
his heels
وَإِن
wa-in
And indeed
كَانَتۡ
kanat
it was
لَكَبِيرَةً
lakabiratan
certainly a great (test)
إِلَّا
illa
except
عَلَى
ala
for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those whom
هَدَى
hada
guided
ٱللَّهُۗ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
وَمَا
wama
And not
كَانَ
kana
will
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
Allah
لِيُضِيعَ
liyudi'a
let go waste
إِيمَٰنَكُمۡۚ
imanakum
your faith
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
بِٱلنَّاسِ
bil-nasi
(is) to [the] mankind
لَرَءُوفٞ
laraufun
Full of Kindness
رَّحِيمٞ
rahimun
Most Merciful
١٤٣
2:144
قَدۡ
qad
Indeed
نَرَىٰ
nara
We see
تَقَلُّبَ
taqalluba
(the) turning
وَجۡهِكَ
wajhika
(of) your face
فِي
fi
towards
ٱلسَّمَآءِۖ
al-samai
the heaven
فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ
falanuwalliyannaka
So We will surely turn you
قِبۡلَةٗ
qib'latan
(to the) direction of prayer
تَرۡضَىٰهَاۚ
tardaha
you will be pleased with
فَوَلِّ
fawalli
So turn
وَجۡهَكَ
wajhaka
your face
شَطۡرَ
shatra
towards the direction
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
al-masjidi
(of) Al-Masjid
ٱلۡحَرَامِۚ
al-harami
Al-Haraam
وَحَيۡثُ
wahaythu
and wherever
مَا
ma
that
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
فَوَلُّواْ
fawallu
[so] turn
وُجُوهَكُمۡ
wujuhakum
your faces
شَطۡرَهُۥۗ
shatrahu
(in) its direction
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
أُوتُواْ
utu
were given
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
لَيَعۡلَمُونَ
laya'lamuna
surely know
أَنَّهُ
annahu
that it
ٱلۡحَقُّ
al-haqu
(is) the truth
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّهِمۡۗ
rabbihim
their Lord
وَمَا
wama
And not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
بِغَٰفِلٍ
bighafilin
unaware
عَمَّا
amma
of what
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
they do
١٤٤
2:145
وَلَئِنۡ
wala-in
And even if
أَتَيۡتَ
atayta
you come
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(to) those who
أُوتُواْ
utu
were given
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
with all
ءَايَةٖ
ayatin
(the) signs
مَّا
ma
not
تَبِعُواْ
tabi'u
they would follow
قِبۡلَتَكَۚ
qib'lataka
your direction of prayer
وَمَآ
wama
and not
أَنتَ
anta
(will) you (be)
بِتَابِعٖ
bitabi'in
a follower
قِبۡلَتَهُمۡۚ
qib'latahum
(of) their direction of prayer
وَمَا
wama
And not
بَعۡضُهُم
ba'duhum
some of them
بِتَابِعٖ
bitabi'in
(are) followers
قِبۡلَةَ
qib'lata
(of the) direction of prayer
بَعۡضٖۚ
ba'din
(of each) other
وَلَئِنِ
wala-ini
And if
ٱتَّبَعۡتَ
ittaba'ta
you followed
أَهۡوَآءَهُم
ahwaahum
their desires
مِّنۢ
min
from
بَعۡدِ
ba'di
after
مَا
ma
[what]
جَآءَكَ
jaaka
came to you
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡعِلۡمِ
al-'il'mi
the knowledge
إِنَّكَ
innaka
indeed you
إِذٗا
idhan
(would) then
لَّمِنَ
lamina
(be) surely among
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
١٤٥

ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
(To) those whom
ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ
ataynahumu
We gave [them]
ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ
al-kitaba
the Book
يَعۡرِفُونَهُۥ
ya'rifunahu
they recognize it
كَمَا
kama
like
يَعۡرِفُونَ
ya'rifuna
they recognize
أَبۡنَآءَهُمۡۖ
abnaahum
their sons
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
فَرِيقٗا
fariqan
a group
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
لَيَكۡتُمُونَ
layaktumuna
surely they conceal
ٱلۡحَقَّ
al-haqa
the Truth
وَهُمۡ
wahum
while they
يَعۡلَمُونَ
ya'lamuna
know
١٤٦
2:147
ٱلۡحَقُّ
al-haqu
The Truth
مِن
min
(is) from
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
فَلَا
fala
so (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takunanna
be
مِنَ
mina
among
ٱلۡمُمۡتَرِينَ
al-mum'tarina
the doubters
١٤٧
2:148
وَلِكُلّٖ
walikullin
And for everyone
وِجۡهَةٌ
wij'hatun
(is) a direction
هُوَ
huwa
he
مُوَلِّيهَاۖ
muwalliha
turns towards it
فَٱسۡتَبِقُواْ
fa-is'tabiqu
so race
ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِۚ
al-khayrati
(to) the good
أَيۡنَ
ayna
Wherever
مَا
ma
that
تَكُونُواْ
takunu
you will be
يَأۡتِ
yati
will bring
بِكُمُ
bikumu
you
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(by) Allah
جَمِيعًاۚ
jami'an
together
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
عَلَىٰ
ala
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
every
شَيۡءٖ
shayin
thing
قَدِيرٞ
qadirun
All-Powerful
١٤٨
2:149
وَمِنۡ
wamin
And from
حَيۡثُ
haythu
wherever
خَرَجۡتَ
kharajta
you start forth
فَوَلِّ
fawalli
[so] turn
وَجۡهَكَ
wajhaka
your face
شَطۡرَ
shatra
(in the) direction
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
al-masjidi
(of) Al-Masjid
ٱلۡحَرَامِۖ
al-harami
Al-Haraam
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-innahu
And indeed it
لَلۡحَقُّ
lalhaqqu
(is) surely the truth
مِن
min
from
رَّبِّكَۗ
rabbika
your Lord
وَمَا
wama
And not
ٱللَّهُ
al-lahu
(is) Allah
بِغَٰفِلٍ
bighafilin
unaware
عَمَّا
amma
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
١٤٩
2:150
وَمِنۡ
wamin
And from
حَيۡثُ
haythu
wherever
خَرَجۡتَ
kharajta
you start forth
فَوَلِّ
fawalli
[so] turn
وَجۡهَكَ
wajhaka
your face
شَطۡرَ
shatra
(in the) direction
ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ
al-masjidi
(of) Al-Masjid
ٱلۡحَرَامِۚ
al-harami
Al-Haraam
وَحَيۡثُ
wahaythu
And wherever
مَا
ma
that
كُنتُمۡ
kuntum
you (all) are
فَوَلُّواْ
fawallu
[so] turn
وُجُوهَكُمۡ
wujuhakum
your faces
شَطۡرَهُۥ
shatrahu
(in) its direction
لِئَلَّا
li-alla
so that not
يَكُونَ
yakuna
will be
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for the people
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
against you
حُجَّةٌ
hujjatun
any argument
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
zalamu
wronged
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
فَلَا
fala
so (do) not
تَخۡشَوۡهُمۡ
takhshawhum
fear them
وَٱخۡشَوۡنِي
wa-ikh'shawni
but fear Me
وَلِأُتِمَّ
wali-utimma
And that I complete
نِعۡمَتِي
ni'mati
My favor
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
upon you
وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ
wala'allakum
[and] so that you may
تَهۡتَدُونَ
tahtaduna
(be) guided
