ٱلَّذِي

He Who
فَطَرَكُمۡ
fatarakum
created you
أَوَّلَ
awwala
(the) first
مَرَّةٖۚ
marratin
time
فَسَيُنۡغِضُونَ
fasayun'ghiduna
Then they will shake
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
at you
رُءُوسَهُمۡ
ruusahum
their heads
وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaquluna
and they say
مَتَىٰ
mata
When (will)
هُوَۖ
huwa
it (be)
قُلۡ
qul
Say
عَسَىٰٓ
asa
Perhaps
أَن
an
that
يَكُونَ
yakuna
(it) will be
قَرِيبٗا
qariban
soon

17:52
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(On) the Day
يَدۡعُوكُمۡ
yad'ukum
He will call you
فَتَسۡتَجِيبُونَ
fatastajibuna
and you will respond
بِحَمۡدِهِۦ
bihamdihi
with His Praise
وَتَظُنُّونَ
watazunnuna
and you will think
إِن
in
not
لَّبِثۡتُمۡ
labith'tum
you had remained
إِلَّا
illa
except
قَلِيلٗا
qalilan
a little (while)
٥٢
17:53
وَقُل
waqul
And say
لِّعِبَادِي
li'ibadi
to My slaves
يَقُولُواْ
yaqulu
(to) say
ٱلَّتِي
allati
that
هِيَ
hiya
which
أَحۡسَنُۚ
ahsanu
(is) best
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ
al-shaytana
the Shaitaan
يَنزَغُ
yanzaghu
sows discord
بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ
baynahum
between them
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ
al-shaytana
the Shaitaan
كَانَ
kana
is
لِلۡإِنسَٰنِ
lil'insani
to the man
عَدُوّٗا
aduwwan
an enemy
مُّبِينٗا
mubinan
clear
٥٣
17:54
رَّبُّكُمۡ
rabbukum
Your Lord
أَعۡلَمُ
a'lamu
(is) most knowing
بِكُمۡۖ
bikum
of you
إِن
in
If
يَشَأۡ
yasha
He wills
يَرۡحَمۡكُمۡ
yarhamkum
He will have mercy on you
أَوۡ
aw
or
إِن
in
if
يَشَأۡ
yasha
He wills
يُعَذِّبۡكُمۡۚ
yu'adhib'kum
He will punish you
وَمَآ
wama
And not
أَرۡسَلۡنَٰكَ
arsalnaka
We have sent you
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
over them
وَكِيلٗا
wakilan
(as) a guardian
٥٤
17:55
وَرَبُّكَ
warabbuka
And your Lord
أَعۡلَمُ
a'lamu
(is) most knowing
بِمَن
biman
of whoever
فِي
fi
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
al-samawati
the heavens
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ
wal-ardi
and the earth
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And verily
فَضَّلۡنَا
faddalna
We have preferred
بَعۡضَ
ba'da
some
ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ
al-nabiyina
(of) the Prophets
عَلَىٰ
ala
to
بَعۡضٖۖ
ba'din
others
وَءَاتَيۡنَا
waatayna
And We gave
دَاوُۥدَ
dawuda
Dawood
زَبُورٗا
zaburan
Zaboor
٥٥
17:56
قُلِ
quli
Say
ٱدۡعُواْ
id'u
Call
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those whom
زَعَمۡتُم
za'amtum
you claimed
مِّن
min
besides Him
دُونِهِۦ
dunihi
besides Him
فَلَا
fala
[then] not
يَمۡلِكُونَ
yamlikuna
they have power
كَشۡفَ
kashfa
(to) remove
ٱلضُّرِّ
al-duri
the misfortunes
عَنكُمۡ
ankum
from you
وَلَا
wala
and not
تَحۡوِيلًا
tahwilan
(to) transfer (it)
٥٦
17:57
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ulaika
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
whom
يَدۡعُونَ
yad'una
they call
يَبۡتَغُونَ
yabtaghuna
seek
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
رَبِّهِمُ
rabbihimu
their Lord
ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ
al-wasilata
the means of access
أَيُّهُمۡ
ayyuhum
which of them
أَقۡرَبُ
aqrabu
(is) nearest
وَيَرۡجُونَ
wayarjuna
and they hope
رَحۡمَتَهُۥ
rahmatahu
(for) His mercy
وَيَخَافُونَ
wayakhafuna
and fear
عَذَابَهُۥٓۚ
adhabahu
His punishment
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
عَذَابَ
adhaba
(the) punishment
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
(of) your Lord
كَانَ
kana
is
مَحۡذُورٗا
mahdhuran
(ever) feared
٥٧
17:58
وَإِن
wa-in
And not
مِّن
min
(is) any
قَرۡيَةٍ
qaryatin
town
إِلَّا
illa
but
نَحۡنُ
nahnu
We
مُهۡلِكُوهَا
muh'likuha
(will) destroy it
قَبۡلَ
qabla
before
يَوۡمِ
yawmi
(the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
أَوۡ
aw
or
مُعَذِّبُوهَا
mu'adhibuha
punish it
عَذَابٗا
adhaban
with a punishment
شَدِيدٗاۚ
shadidan
severe
كَانَ
kana
That is
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That is
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
al-kitabi
the Book
مَسۡطُورٗا
masturan
written
٥٨

17:59
وَمَا
wama
And not
مَنَعَنَآ
mana'ana
stopped Us
أَن
an
that
نُّرۡسِلَ
nur'sila
We send
بِٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ
bil-ayati
the Signs
إِلَّآ
illa
except
أَن
an
that
كَذَّبَ
kadhaba
denied
بِهَا
biha
them
ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَۚ
al-awaluna
the former (people)
وَءَاتَيۡنَا
waatayna
And We gave
ثَمُودَ
thamuda
Thamud
ٱلنَّاقَةَ
al-naqata
the she-camel
مُبۡصِرَةٗ
mub'siratan
(as) a visible sign
فَظَلَمُواْ
fazalamu
but they wronged
بِهَاۚ
biha
her
وَمَا
wama
And not
نُرۡسِلُ
nur'silu
We send
بِٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ
bil-ayati
the Signs
إِلَّا
illa
except
تَخۡوِيفٗا
takhwifan
(as) a warning
٥٩
17:60
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
قُلۡنَا
qul'na
We said
لَكَ
laka
to you
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbaka
your Lord
أَحَاطَ
ahata
has encompassed
بِٱلنَّاسِۚ
bil-nasi
the mankind
وَمَا
wama
And not
جَعَلۡنَا
ja'alna
We made
ٱلرُّءۡيَا
al-ru'ya
the vision
ٱلَّتِيٓ
allati
which
أَرَيۡنَٰكَ
araynaka
We showed you
إِلَّا
illa
except
فِتۡنَةٗ
fit'natan
(as) a trial
لِّلنَّاسِ
lilnnasi
for mankind
وَٱلشَّجَرَةَ
wal-shajarata
and the tree
ٱلۡمَلۡعُونَةَ
al-mal'unata
the accursed
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِۚ
al-qur'ani
the Quran
وَنُخَوِّفُهُمۡ
wanukhawwifuhum
And We threaten them
فَمَا
fama
but not
يَزِيدُهُمۡ
yaziduhum
it increases them
إِلَّا
illa
except
طُغۡيَٰنٗا
tugh'yanan
(in) transgression
كَبِيرٗا
kabiran
great
٦٠
17:61
وَإِذۡ
wa-idh
And when
قُلۡنَا
qul'na
We said
لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
lil'malaikati
to the Angels
ٱسۡجُدُواْ
us'judu
Prostrate
لِأٓدَمَ
liadama
to Adam
فَسَجَدُوٓاْ
fasajadu
So they prostrated
إِلَّآ
illa
except
إِبۡلِيسَ
ib'lisa
Iblis
قَالَ
qala
He said
ءَأَسۡجُدُ
a-asjudu
Shall I prostrate
لِمَنۡ
liman
to (one) whom
خَلَقۡتَ
khalaqta
You created
طِينٗا
tinan
(from) clay
٦١
17:62
قَالَ
qala
He said
أَرَءَيۡتَكَ
ara-aytaka
Do You see
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
whom
كَرَّمۡتَ
karramta
You have honored
عَلَيَّ
alayya
above me
لَئِنۡ
la-in
If
أَخَّرۡتَنِ
akhartani
You give me respite
إِلَىٰ
ila
till
يَوۡمِ
yawmi
(the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
al-qiyamati
(of) the Resurrection
لَأَحۡتَنِكَنَّ
la-ahtanikanna
I will surely destroy
ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ
dhurriyyatahu
his offspring
إِلَّا
illa
except
قَلِيلٗا
qalilan
a few
٦٢
17:63
قَالَ
qala
He said
ٱذۡهَبۡ
idh'hab
Go
فَمَن
faman
and whoever
تَبِعَكَ
tabi'aka
follows you
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
فَإِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell
جَزَآؤُكُمۡ
jazaukum
(is) your recompense
جَزَآءٗ
jazaan
a recompense
مَّوۡفُورٗا
mawfuran
ample
٦٣
17:64
وَٱسۡتَفۡزِزۡ
wa-is'tafziz
And incite
مَنِ
mani
whoever
ٱسۡتَطَعۡتَ
is'tata'ta
you can
مِنۡهُم
min'hum
among them
بِصَوۡتِكَ
bisawtika
with your voice
وَأَجۡلِبۡ
wa-ajlib
and assault
عَلَيۡهِم
alayhim
[on] them
بِخَيۡلِكَ
bikhaylika
with your cavalry
وَرَجِلِكَ
warajilika
and infantry
وَشَارِكۡهُمۡ
washarik'hum
and be a partner
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَمۡوَٰلِ
al-amwali
the wealth
وَٱلۡأَوۡلَٰدِ
wal-awladi
and the children
وَعِدۡهُمۡۚ
wa'id'hum
and promise them
وَمَا
wama
And not
يَعِدُهُمُ
ya'iduhumu
promises them
ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ
al-shaytanu
the Shaitaan
إِلَّا
illa
except
غُرُورًا
ghururan
delusion
٦٤
17:65
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
عِبَادِي
ibadi
My slaves
لَيۡسَ
laysa
not
لَكَ
laka
for you
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
alayhim
over them
سُلۡطَٰنٞۚ
sul'tanun
any authority
وَكَفَىٰ
wakafa
And sufficient
بِرَبِّكَ
birabbika
(is) your Lord
وَكِيلٗا
wakilan
(as) a Guardian
٦٥
17:66
رَّبُّكُمُ
rabbukumu
Your Lord
ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
(is) the One Who
يُزۡجِي
yuz'ji
drives
لَكُمُ
lakumu
for you
ٱلۡفُلۡكَ
al-ful'ka
the ship
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡبَحۡرِ
al-bahri
the sea
لِتَبۡتَغُواْ
litabtaghu
that you may seek
مِن
min
of
فَضۡلِهِۦٓۚ
fadlihi
His Bounty
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
كَانَ
kana
is
بِكُمۡ
bikum
to you
رَحِيمٗا
rahiman
Ever Merciful
٦٦

17:67
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
And when
مَسَّكُمُ
massakumu
touches you
ٱلضُّرُّ
al-duru
the hardship
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡبَحۡرِ
al-bahri
the sea
ضَلَّ
dalla
lost
مَن
man
(are) who
تَدۡعُونَ
tad'una
you call
إِلَّآ
illa
except
إِيَّاهُۖ
iyyahu
Him Alone
فَلَمَّا
falamma
But when
نَجَّىٰكُمۡ
najjakum
He delivers you
إِلَى
ila
to
ٱلۡبَرِّ
al-bari
the land
أَعۡرَضۡتُمۡۚ
a'radtum
you turn away
وَكَانَ
wakana
And is
ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ
al-insanu
man
كَفُورًا
kafuran
ungrateful
٦٧
17:68
أَفَأَمِنتُمۡ
afa-amintum
Do you then feel secure
أَن
an
that (not)
يَخۡسِفَ
yakhsifa
He will cause to swallow
بِكُمۡ
bikum
you
جَانِبَ
janiba
side
ٱلۡبَرِّ
al-bari
(of) the land
أَوۡ
aw
or
يُرۡسِلَ
yur'sila
send
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
against you
حَاصِبٗا
hasiban
a storm of stones
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
لَا
la
not
تَجِدُواْ
tajidu
you will find
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
وَكِيلًا
wakilan
a guardian
٦٨
17:69
أَمۡ
am
Or
أَمِنتُمۡ
amintum
do you feel secure
أَن
an
that (not)
يُعِيدَكُمۡ
yu'idakum
He will send you back
فِيهِ
fihi
into it
تَارَةً
taratan
another time
أُخۡرَىٰ
ukh'ra
another time
فَيُرۡسِلَ
fayur'sila
and send
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
alaykum
upon you
قَاصِفٗا
qasifan
a hurricane
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلرِّيحِ
al-rihi
the wind
فَيُغۡرِقَكُم
fayugh'riqakum
and drown you
بِمَا
bima
because
كَفَرۡتُمۡ
kafartum
you disbelieved
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
لَا
la
not
تَجِدُواْ
tajidu
you will find
لَكُمۡ
lakum
for you
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
against Us
بِهِۦ
bihi
therein
تَبِيعٗا
tabi'an
an avenger
٦٩
17:70
۞وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
كَرَّمۡنَا
karramna
We have honored
بَنِيٓ
bani
(the) children of Adam
ءَادَمَ
adama
(the) children of Adam
وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُمۡ
wahamalnahum
and We carried them
فِي
fi
on
ٱلۡبَرِّ
al-bari
the land
وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ
wal-bahri
and the sea
وَرَزَقۡنَٰهُم
warazaqnahum
and We have provided them
مِّنَ
mina
of
ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ
al-tayibati
the good things
وَفَضَّلۡنَٰهُمۡ
wafaddalnahum
and We preferred them
عَلَىٰ
ala
over
كَثِيرٖ
kathirin
many
مِّمَّنۡ
mimman
of those whom
خَلَقۡنَا
khalaqna
We have created
تَفۡضِيلٗا
tafdilan
(with) preference
٧٠
17:71
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
نَدۡعُواْ
nad'u
We will call
كُلَّ
kulla
all
أُنَاسِۭ
unasin
human beings
بِإِمَٰمِهِمۡۖ
bi-imamihim
with their record
فَمَنۡ
faman
then whoever
أُوتِيَ
utiya
is given
كِتَٰبَهُۥ
kitabahu
his record
بِيَمِينِهِۦ
biyaminihi
in his right hand
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulaika
then those
يَقۡرَءُونَ
yaqrauna
will read
كِتَٰبَهُمۡ
kitabahum
their records
وَلَا
wala
and not
يُظۡلَمُونَ
yuz'lamuna
they will be wronged
فَتِيلٗا
fatilan
(even as much as) a hair on a date seed
٧١
17:72
وَمَن
waman
And whoever
كَانَ
kana
is
فِي
fi
in
هَٰذِهِۦٓ
hadhihi
this (world)
أَعۡمَىٰ
a'ma
blind
فَهُوَ
fahuwa
then he
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
al-akhirati
the Hereafter
أَعۡمَىٰ
a'ma
(will be) blind
وَأَضَلُّ
wa-adallu
and more astray
سَبِيلٗا
sabilan
(from the) path
٧٢
17:73
وَإِن
wa-in
And indeed
كَادُواْ
kadu
they were about (to)
لَيَفۡتِنُونَكَ
layaftinunaka
tempt you away
عَنِ
ani
from
ٱلَّذِيٓ
alladhi
that which
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
awhayna
We revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
لِتَفۡتَرِيَ
litaftariya
that you invent
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
about Us
غَيۡرَهُۥۖ
ghayrahu
other (than) it
وَإِذٗا
wa-idhan
And then
لَّٱتَّخَذُوكَ
la-ittakhadhuka
surely they would take you
خَلِيلٗا
khalilan
(as) a friend
٧٣
17:74
وَلَوۡلَآ
walawla
And if not
أَن
an
[that]
ثَبَّتۡنَٰكَ
thabbatnaka
We (had) strengthened you
لَقَدۡ
laqad
certainly
كِدتَّ
kidtta
you almost
تَرۡكَنُ
tarkanu
(would) have inclined
إِلَيۡهِمۡ
ilayhim
to them
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayan
(in) something
قَلِيلًا
qalilan
a little
٧٤
17:75
إِذٗا
idhan
Then
لَّأَذَقۡنَٰكَ
la-adhaqnaka
We (would) have made you taste
ضِعۡفَ
di'fa
double
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
al-hayati
(in) the life
وَضِعۡفَ
wadi'fa
and double
ٱلۡمَمَاتِ
al-mamati
(after) the death
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
لَا
la
not
تَجِدُ
tajidu
you (would) have found
لَكَ
laka
for you
عَلَيۡنَا
alayna
against Us
نَصِيرٗا
nasiran
any helper
٧٥
