(of) a Verse
وَٱللَّهُ

and Allah

(is) most knowing

He sends down
قَالُوٓاْ
q̣aalooo
they say
إِنَّمَآ
ʹinnamaaa
Only
أَنتَ
ʹañta
you
مُفۡتَرِۭۚ
muftar:
(are) an inventor
بَلۡ
bal
Nay
أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ
ʹaks̤aruhum
most of them
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يَعۡلَمُونَ
yaʻlamoon.
know

16:102
قُلۡ
Q̣ul
Say
نَزَّلَهُۥ
nazzalahoo
Has brought it down
رُوحُ
Rooḥul
the Holy Spirit
ٱلۡقُدُسِ
Q̣udusi
the Holy Spirit
مِن
mir
from
رَّبِّكَ
Rabbika
your Lord
بِٱلۡحَقِّ
bil-Ḥaq̣q̣i
in truth
لِيُثَبِّتَ
liyus̤abbital
to make firm
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believe
وَهُدٗى
wa-Hudañw
and (as) a guidance
وَبُشۡرَىٰ
wa-Bushraa
and glad tidings
لِلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
lil-Muslimeen.
to the Muslims

16:103
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
نَعۡلَمُ
naʻlamu
We know
أَنَّهُمۡ
ʹannahum
that they
يَقُولُونَ
yaq̣ooloona
say
إِنَّمَا
ʹinnamaa
Only
يُعَلِّمُهُۥ
yuʻallimuhoo
teaches him
بَشَرٞۗ
bashar.
a human being
لِّسَانُ
Lisaanul
(The) tongue
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
(of) the one
يُلۡحِدُونَ
yulḥidoona
they refer
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to him
أَعۡجَمِيّٞ
ʹaʻjamiyyuñw
(is) foreign
وَهَٰذَا
Wahaaẓaa
while this
لِسَانٌ
lisaanun
(is) a language
عَرَبِيّٞ
ʻArabiyyum
Arabic
مُّبِينٌ
mubeen.

16:104
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
lazeena
those who
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoona
believe
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹaayaatil
in the Verses
ٱللَّهِ
lahi
(of) Allah
لَا
laa-
not
يَهۡدِيهِمُ
yahdeehimul
Allah will guide them
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah will guide them
وَلَهُمۡ
wa-lahum
and for them
عَذَابٌ
ʻaẓaabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٌ
ʹaleem.
painful
١٠٤
16:105
إِنَّمَا
ʹInnamaa
Only
يَفۡتَرِي
yaftaril
they invent
ٱلۡكَذِبَ
kaẓibal
the falsehood
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
لَا
laa-
(do) not
يُؤۡمِنُونَ
yuʹminoona
believe
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹaayaatil
in the Verses
ٱللَّهِۖ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ʹulaaaʹika
and those
هُمُ
humul
they
ٱلۡكَٰذِبُونَ
kaaẓiboon.
(are) the liars
١٠٥
16:106
مَن
Mañ
Whoever
كَفَرَ
kafara
disbelieves
بِٱللَّهِ
billaahi
in Allah
مِنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
إِيمَٰنِهِۦٓ
ʹeemaaniheee
his belief
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
مَنۡ
man
(one) who
أُكۡرِهَ
ʹukriha
is forced
وَقَلۡبُهُۥ
wa-q̣albuhoo
while his heart
مُطۡمَئِنُّۢ
muṭmaʹinnum
(is) content
بِٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ
bil-ʹEemaani
with the faith
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakim
But
مَّن
mañ
(one) who
شَرَحَ
sharaḥa
opens
بِٱلۡكُفۡرِ
bilkufri
to disbelief
صَدۡرٗا
ṣadrañ
(his) breast
فَعَلَيۡهِمۡ
faʻalayhim
then upon them
غَضَبٞ
g̣aḍabum
(is) a wrath
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
وَلَهُمۡ
wa-lahum
and for them
عَذَابٌ
ʻaẓaabun
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٞ
ʻaz̤̣eem.
great
١٠٦
16:107
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That (is)
بِأَنَّهُمُ
biʹannahumus
because
ٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ
taḥabbul
they preferred
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ
ḥayaatad
the life
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
(of) the world
عَلَى
ʻalal
over
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
وَأَنَّ
waʹannal
and that
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
لَا
laa-
(does) not
يَهۡدِي
yahdil
guide
ٱلۡقَوۡمَ
Q̣awmal
the people
ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
kaafireen.
the disbelievers
١٠٧
16:108
أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
ʹUlaaaʹikal
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
(are) the ones
طَبَعَ
ṭabaʻal
Allah has set a seal
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah has set a seal
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
over
قُلُوبِهِمۡ
q̣uloobihim
their hearts
وَسَمۡعِهِمۡ
wa-samʻihim
and their hearing
وَأَبۡصَٰرِهِمۡۖ
wa-ʹabṣaarihim
and their sight
وَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ
wa-ʹulaaaʹika
And those
هُمُ
humul
they are
ٱلۡغَٰفِلُونَ
G̣aafiloon.
the heedless
١٠٨
16:109
لَا
Laa-
No
جَرَمَ
jarama
doubt
أَنَّهُمۡ
ʹannahum
that they
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹaakhirati
the Hereafter
هُمُ
humul
[they]
ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ
khaasiroon.
(are) the losers
١٠٩
16:110
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
to those who
هَاجَرُواْ
haajaroo
emigrated
مِنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
مَا
maa-
what
فُتِنُواْ
futinoo
they had been put to trials
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
جَٰهَدُواْ
jaahadoo
strove hard
وَصَبَرُوٓاْ
waṣabarooo
and were patient
إِنَّ
ʹinna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
مِنۢ
mim
after it
بَعۡدِهَا
baʻdihaa
after it
لَغَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
surely is Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١١٠

16:111
۞يَوۡمَ
Yawma
(On) the Day
تَأۡتِي
taʹtee
(when) will come
كُلُّ
kullu
every
نَفۡسٖ
nafsiñ
soul
تُجَٰدِلُ
tujaadilu
pleading
عَن
ʻan
for
نَّفۡسِهَا
nafsihaa
itself
وَتُوَفَّىٰ
wa-tuwaffaa
and will be paid in full
كُلُّ
kullu
every
نَفۡسٖ
nafsim
soul
مَّا
maa
what
عَمِلَتۡ
ʻamilat
it did
وَهُمۡ
Wahum
and they
لَا
laa-
(will) not
يُظۡلَمُونَ
yuz̤̣lamoon.
be wronged
١١١
16:112
وَضَرَبَ
Wa-ḍarabal
And Allah sets forth
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
And Allah sets forth
مَثَلٗا
Mas̤alañ
a similitude
قَرۡيَةٗ
q̣aryatañ
(of) a town
كَانَتۡ
kaanat
(that) was
ءَامِنَةٗ
ʹaaminatam
secure
مُّطۡمَئِنَّةٗ
muṭmaʹinnatañy
and content
يَأۡتِيهَا
yaʹteehaa
coming to it
رِزۡقُهَا
rizq̣uhaa
its provision
رَغَدٗا
rag̣adam
(in) abundance
مِّن
miñ
from
كُلِّ
kulli
every
مَكَانٖ
makaaniñ
place
فَكَفَرَتۡ
fakafarat
but it denied
بِأَنۡعُمِ
biʹanʻumil
(the) Favors of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(the) Favors of Allah
فَأَذَٰقَهَا
faʹaẓaaq̣ahal
so Allah made it taste
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
so Allah made it taste
لِبَاسَ
libaasal
(the) garb
ٱلۡجُوعِ
jooʻi
(of) the hunger
وَٱلۡخَوۡفِ
walkhawfi
and the fear
بِمَا
bimaa
for what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used (to)
يَصۡنَعُونَ
yaṣnaʻoon.
do
١١٢
16:113
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
جَآءَهُمۡ
jaaaʹahum
came to them
رَسُولٞ
Rasoolum
a Messenger
مِّنۡهُمۡ
minhum
from among them
فَكَذَّبُوهُ
fakaẓẓaboohu
but they denied him
فَأَخَذَهُمُ
faʹakhaẓahumul
so seized them
ٱلۡعَذَابُ
ʻaẓaabu
the punishment
وَهُمۡ
wa-hum
while they
ظَٰلِمُونَ
z̤̣aalimoon.
(were) wrongdoers
١١٣
16:114
فَكُلُواْ
Fakuloo
So eat
مِمَّا
mimmaa
of what
رَزَقَكُمُ
razaq̣akumul
Allah has provided you
ٱللَّهُ
laahu
Allah has provided you
حَلَٰلٗا
Ḥalaalañ
lawful
طَيِّبٗا
Ṭayyibaa;
and good
وَٱشۡكُرُواْ
washkuroo
And be grateful
نِعۡمَتَ
niʻmatal
(for the) Favor
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُمۡ
kuñtum
[you]
إِيَّاهُ
ʹiyyaahu
Him Alone
تَعۡبُدُونَ
taʻbudoon.
you worship
١١٤
16:115
إِنَّمَا
ʹInnamaa
Only
حَرَّمَ
ḥarrama
He has forbidden
عَلَيۡكُمُ
ʻalaykumul
to you
ٱلۡمَيۡتَةَ
maytata
the dead animal
وَٱلدَّمَ
waddama
and the blood
وَلَحۡمَ
wa-laḥmal
and the flesh
ٱلۡخِنزِيرِ
khiñzeeri
(of) the swine
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
and what
أُهِلَّ
ʹuhilla
has been dedicated
لِغَيۡرِ
lig̣ayril
to other (than)
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
بِهِۦۖ
bih.
[with it]
فَمَنِ
Famaniḍ
But (if) one
ٱضۡطُرَّ
ṭurra
(is) forced
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayra
without (being)
بَاغٖ
baag̣iñw
disobedient
وَلَا
walaa
and not
عَادٖ
ʻaadiñ
a transgressor
فَإِنَّ
faʹinnal
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
غَفُورٞ
G̣afoorur
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٞ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١١٥
16:116
وَلَا
wa-laa
And (do) not
تَقُولُواْ
taq̣ooloo
say
لِمَا
limaa
for that which
تَصِفُ
taṣifu
assert
أَلۡسِنَتُكُمُ
ʹalsinatukumul
your tongues
ٱلۡكَذِبَ
kaẓiba
the lie
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This
حَلَٰلٞ
ḥalaaluñw
(is) lawful
وَهَٰذَا
wahaaẓaa
and this
حَرَامٞ
ḥaraamul
(is) forbidden
لِّتَفۡتَرُواْ
litaftaroo
so that you invent
عَلَى
ʻalal
about
ٱللَّهِ
laahil
Allah
ٱلۡكَذِبَۚ
kaẓib.
the lie
إِنَّ
ʹInnal
Indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
يَفۡتَرُونَ
yaftaroona
invent
عَلَى
ʻalal
about
ٱللَّهِ
laahil
Allah
ٱلۡكَذِبَ
kaẓiba
the lie
لَا
laa-
they will not succeed
يُفۡلِحُونَ
yufliḥoon.
they will not succeed
١١٦
16:117
مَتَٰعٞ
Mataaʻuñ
An enjoyment
قَلِيلٞ
q̣aleel;
little
وَلَهُمۡ
wa-lahum
and for them
عَذَابٌ
ʻaẓaabun
(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٞ
ʹaleem.
painful
١١٧
16:118
وَعَلَى
Wa-ʻalal
And to
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
هَادُواْ
haadoo
are Jews
حَرَّمۡنَا
ḥarramnaa
We have forbidden
مَا
maa-
what
قَصَصۡنَا
q̣aṣaṣnaa
We related
عَلَيۡكَ
ʻalayka
to you
مِن
miñ
before
قَبۡلُۖ
q̣abl:
before
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
ظَلَمۡنَٰهُمۡ
z̤̣alamnaahum
We wronged them
وَلَٰكِن
wa-laakiñ
but
كَانُوٓاْ
kaanooo
they used (to)
أَنفُسَهُمۡ
ʹañfusahum
themselves
يَظۡلِمُونَ
yaz̤̣limoon.

16:119
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
لِلَّذِينَ
lillaẓeena
to those who
عَمِلُواْ
ʻamilus
did
ٱلسُّوٓءَ
soooʹa
evil
بِجَهَٰلَةٖ
bijahaalatiñ
in ignorance
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
تَابُواْ
taaboo
repented
مِنۢ
mim
after
بَعۡدِ
baʻdi
after
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
that
وَأَصۡلَحُوٓاْ
wa-ʹaṣlaḥooo
and corrected themselves
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
مِنۢ
mim
after that
بَعۡدِهَا
baʻdihaa
after that
لَغَفُورٞ
la-G̣afoorur
(is) surely Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌ
Raḥeem.
Most Merciful
١١٩
16:120
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
Ibrahim
كَانَ
kaana
was
أُمَّةٗ
ʹummatañ
a nation
قَانِتٗا
q̣aanital
obedient
لِّلَّهِ
lillaahi
to Allah
حَنِيفٗا
ḥaneefaa:
upright
وَلَمۡ
wa-lam
and not
يَكُ
yaku
he was
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen:
the polytheists
١٢٠
16:121
شَاكِرٗا
Shaakiral
Thankful
لِّأَنۡعُمِهِۚ
liʹanʻumih:
for His favors
ٱجۡتَبَىٰهُ
ʹijtabaahu
He chose him
وَهَدَىٰهُ
wa-hadaahu
and guided him
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
صِرَٰطٖ
Ṣiraatim
the way
مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
Mustaq̣eem.
straight
١٢١
16:122
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ
Wa-ʹaataynaahu
And We gave him
فِي
fid
in
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
the world
حَسَنَةٗۖ
Ḥasanah:
good
وَإِنَّهُۥ
wa-ʹinnahoo
and indeed he
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ
ʹAakhirati
the Hereafter
لَمِنَ
laminaṣ
(he) will surely (be) among
ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
Ṣaaliḥeen.
the righteous
١٢٢
16:123
ثُمَّ
S̤umma
Then
أَوۡحَيۡنَآ
awḥaynaaa
We revealed
إِلَيۡكَ
ʹilayka
to you
أَنِ
ʹanit
that
ٱتَّبِعۡ
tabiʻ
You follow
مِلَّةَ
Millata
(the) religion
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
(of) Ibrahim
حَنِيفٗاۖ
Ḥaneefaa,
upright
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
كَانَ
kaana
he was
مِنَ
minal
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
mushrikeen.
the polytheists
١٢٣
16:124
إِنَّمَا
Innamaa
Only
جُعِلَ
juʻilas
was appointed
ٱلسَّبۡتُ
Sabtu
the Sabbath
عَلَى
ʻalal
for
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeenakh
those who
ٱخۡتَلَفُواْ
talafoo
differed
فِيهِۚ
feeh:
in it
وَإِنَّ
wa-ʹinna
And indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
لَيَحۡكُمُ
layaḥkumu
will surely judge
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum
between them
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on) the Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamati
(of) the Resurrection
فِيمَا
feemaa
in what
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they used (to)
فِيهِ
feehi
[in it]
يَخۡتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifoon.
differ
١٢٤
16:125
ٱدۡعُ
ʹUdʻu
Call
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
سَبِيلِ
sabeeli
(the) way
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
(of) your Lord
بِٱلۡحِكۡمَةِ
bilḥikmati
with the wisdom
وَٱلۡمَوۡعِظَةِ
walmawʻiz̤̣atil
and the instruction
ٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖ
ḥasanati
the good
وَجَٰدِلۡهُم
wa-jaadilhum̃
and discuss with them
بِٱلَّتِي
billatee
in that
هِيَ
hiya
which
أَحۡسَنُۚ
ʹaḥsan:
(is) best
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
هُوَ
Huwa
He
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹAʻlamu
(is) most knowing
بِمَن
bimañ
of who
ضَلَّ
ḍalla
has strayed
عَن
ʻañ
from
سَبِيلِهِۦ
Sabeelihee
His way
وَهُوَ
wa-Huwa
And He
أَعۡلَمُ
ʹaʻlamu
(is) most knowing
بِٱلۡمُهۡتَدِينَ
bil-Muhtadeen.
of the guided ones
