Yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
لَآ
laaa
Not
أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ
ʹasʹalukum
I ask you
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻalayhi
for it
أَجۡرًاۖ
ʹajraa.
any reward
إِنۡ
ʹIn
Not
أَجۡرِيَ
ʹajriya
(is) my reward
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
عَلَى
ʻalal
from
ٱلَّذِي
laẓee
the One Who
فَطَرَنِيٓۚ
faṭaranee:
created me
أَفَلَا
ʹafalaa
Then will not
تَعۡقِلُونَ
taʻq̣iloon?
you use reason
٥١
11:52
وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wa-yaaq̣awmis
And O my people
ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ
tag̣firoo
Ask forgiveness
رَبَّكُمۡ
Rabbakum
(of) your Lord
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
تُوبُوٓاْ
toobooo
turn in repentance
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to Him
يُرۡسِلِ
yursilis
He will send
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
samaaaʹa
(from) the sky (rain)
عَلَيۡكُم
ʻalaykum
upon you
مِّدۡرَارٗا
midraarañw
(in) abundance
وَيَزِدۡكُمۡ
wayazidkum
and increase you
قُوَّةً
q̣uwwatan
(in) strength
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
(added) to
قُوَّتِكُمۡ
q̣uwwatikum
your strength
وَلَا
wa-laa
And (do) not
تَتَوَلَّوۡاْ
tatawallaw
turn away
مُجۡرِمِينَ
mujrimeen!
(as) criminals
٥٢
11:53
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
يَٰهُودُ
yaa-Hoodu
O Hud
مَا
maa-
You have not brought us
جِئۡتَنَا
jiʹtanaa
You have not brought us
بِبَيِّنَةٖ
bi-Bayyinatiñw
clear proofs
وَمَا
wamaa
and not
نَحۡنُ
naḥnu
we
بِتَارِكِيٓ
bitaarikeee
(will) leave
ءَالِهَتِنَا
ʹaalihatinaa
our gods
عَن
ʻañ
on
قَوۡلِكَ
q̣awlika
your saying
وَمَا
wa-maa
and not
نَحۡنُ
naḥnu
we (are)
لَكَ
laka
in you
بِمُؤۡمِنِينَ
bi-Muʹmineen!
believers

إِن
ʹIn
Not
نَّقُولُ
naq̣oolu
we say
إِلَّا
ʹillaʻ
except (that)
ٱعۡتَرَىٰكَ
taraaka
have seized you
بَعۡضُ
baʻḍu
some
ءَالِهَتِنَا
ʹaalihatinaa
(of) our gods
بِسُوٓءٖۗ
bisoooʹ.
with evil
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
أُشۡهِدُ
ʹushhidul
[I] call Allah to witness
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
[I] call Allah to witness
وَٱشۡهَدُوٓاْ
washhadooo
and (you) bear witness
أَنِّي
ʹannee
that I am
بَرِيٓءٞ
bareeeʹum
innocent
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تُشۡرِكُونَ
tushrikoon.
you associate
٥٤
11:55
مِن
Miñ
Other than Him
دُونِهِۦۖ
doonihee
Other than Him
فَكِيدُونِي
fakeedoonee
So plot against me
جَمِيعٗا
jameeʻañ
all together
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
لَا
laa-
(do) not
تُنظِرُونِ
tuñz̤̣iroon.
give me respite
٥٥
11:56
إِنِّي
ʹInnee
Indeed I
تَوَكَّلۡتُ
tawakkaltu
[I] put my trust
عَلَى
ʻalal
upon
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
وَرَبِّكُمۚ
Wa-Rabbikum!
and your Lord
مَّا
Maa-
(There is) not
مِن
miñ
of a moving creature
دَآبَّةٍ
daaabbatin
of a moving creature
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
but
هُوَ
Huwa
He
ءَاخِذُۢ
ʹaakhiẓum
has grasp
بِنَاصِيَتِهَآۚ
binaasiyatihaa.
of its forelock
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(is) on
صِرَٰطٖ
Ṣiraaṭim
a path
مُّسۡتَقِيمٖ
Mustaq̣eem.
straight
٥٦
11:57
فَإِن
Faʹiñ
So if
تَوَلَّوۡاْ
tawallaw
you turn away
فَقَدۡ
faq̣ad
then verily
أَبۡلَغۡتُكُم
ʹablag̣tukum
I have conveyed to you
مَّآ
maaa
what
أُرۡسِلۡتُ
ʹursiltu
I was sent
بِهِۦٓ
biheee
with [it]
إِلَيۡكُمۡۚ
ʹilaykum.
to you
وَيَسۡتَخۡلِفُ
Wa-yastakhlifu
And my Lord will give succession
رَبِّي
Rabbee
And my Lord will give succession
قَوۡمًا
q̣awman
(to) a people
غَيۡرَكُمۡ
g̣ayrakum,
other than you
وَلَا
wa-laa
and not
تَضُرُّونَهُۥ
taḍurroonahoo
you will harm Him
شَيۡـًٔاۚ
shayʹaa.
(in) anything
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(is) on
كُلِّ
kulli
all
شَيۡءٍ
shayʹin
things
حَفِيظٞ
Ḥafeez̤̣.
a Guardian
٥٧
11:58
وَلَمَّا
Wa-lammaa
And when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
came
أَمۡرُنَا
ʹamrunaa
Our command
نَجَّيۡنَا
naj-jaynaa
We saved
هُودٗا
Hoodañw
Hud
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wallaẓeena
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
with him
بِرَحۡمَةٖ
bi-Raḥmatim
by a Mercy
مِّنَّا
minnaa:
from Us
وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُم
wa-najjaynaahum
and We saved them
مِّنۡ
min
from
عَذَابٍ
ʻaẓaabin
a punishment
غَلِيظٖ
g̣aleez̤̣.
severe
٥٨
11:59
وَتِلۡكَ
Wa-tilka
And this
عَادٞۖ
ʻAaduñ
(was) Aad
جَحَدُواْ
jaḥadoo
they rejected
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
biʹAayaati
(the) Signs
رَبِّهِمۡ
Rabbihim
(of) their Lord
وَعَصَوۡاْ
wa-ʻaṣaw
and disobeyed
رُسُلَهُۥ
Rusulahoo
His Messengers
وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ
wattabaʻooo
and followed
أَمۡرَ
ʹamra
(the) command
كُلِّ
kulli
(of) every
جَبَّارٍ
jabbaarin
tyrant
عَنِيدٖ
ʻaneed.
obstinate
٥٩
11:60
وَأُتۡبِعُواْ
Wa-ʹutbiʻoo
And they were followed
فِي
fee
in
هَٰذِهِ
haaẓihid
this
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
dunyaa
world
لَعۡنَةٗ
laʻnatañw
(with) a curse
وَيَوۡمَ
wa-Yawmal
and (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۗ
Q̣iyaamah.
(of) the Resurrection
أَلَآ
ʹAlaaa
No doubt
إِنَّ
ʹinna
Indeed
عَادٗا
ʻAadañ
Aad
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
رَبَّهُمۡۗ
Rabbahum!
their Lord
أَلَا
ʹAlaa
So
بُعۡدٗا
buʻdal
away
لِّعَادٖ
liʻAadiñ
with Aad
قَوۡمِ
Q̣awmi
(the) people
هُودٖ
Hood!
(of) Hud
٦٠
11:61
۞وَإِلَىٰ
Wa-ʹilaa
And to
ثَمُودَ
S̤amooda
Thamud
أَخَاهُمۡ
ʹakhaahum
(We sent) their brother
صَٰلِحٗاۚ
Ṣaaliḥaa.
Salih
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmiʻ
O my people
ٱعۡبُدُواْ
budul
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَا
maa-
not
لَكُم
lakum
you have
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ʹilahin
god
غَيۡرُهُۥۖ
g̣ayruh.
other than Him
هُوَ
Huwa
He
أَنشَأَكُم
ʹañshaʹakum
produced you
مِّنَ
minal
from
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
وَٱسۡتَعۡمَرَكُمۡ
wastaʻmarakum
and settled you
فِيهَا
feehaa
in it
فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوهُ
fastag̣firoohu
So ask forgiveness of Him
ثُمَّ
s̤umma
then
تُوبُوٓاْ
toobooo
turn in repentance
إِلَيۡهِۚ
ʹilayh:
to Him
إِنَّ
ʹinna
Indeed
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
قَرِيبٞ
Q̣areebum
(is) near
مُّجِيبٞ
Mujeeb.
All-Responsive
٦١
11:62
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
يَٰصَٰلِحُ
yaa-Ṣaaliḥu
O Salih
قَدۡ
q̣ad
Verily
كُنتَ
kuñta
you were
فِينَا
feenaa
among us
مَرۡجُوّٗا
marjuwwañ
the one in whom hope was placed
قَبۡلَ
q̣abla
before
هَٰذَآۖ
haaẓaaa
this
أَتَنۡهَىٰنَآ
ʹatanhaanaaa
Do you forbid us
أَن
ʹan
that
نَّعۡبُدَ
naʻbuda
we worship
مَا
maa-
what
يَعۡبُدُ
yaʻbudu
our forefathers worshipped
ءَابَآؤُنَا
ʹaabaaaʹunaa
our forefathers worshipped
وَإِنَّنَا
wa-ʹinnanaa
And indeed we
لَفِي
lafee
surely (are) in
شَكّٖ
shakkim
doubt
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
about what
تَدۡعُونَآ
tadʻoonaaa
you call us
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to it
مُرِيبٖ
mureeb.
suspicious

11:63
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ
ʹaraʹaytum
Do you see
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُ
kuñtu
I am
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
بَيِّنَةٖ
Bayyinatim
a clear proof
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
وَءَاتَىٰنِي
wa-ʹaataanee
and He has given me
مِنۡهُ
minhu
from Him
رَحۡمَةٗ
Raḥmatañ
a Mercy
فَمَن
famañy
then who
يَنصُرُنِي
yañṣurunee
(can) help me
مِنَ
minal
against
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
Allah
إِنۡ
ʹin
if
عَصَيۡتُهُۥۖ
ʻaṣaytuh?
I (were to) disobey Him
فَمَا
Famaa
So not
تَزِيدُونَنِي
tazeedunanee
you would increase me
غَيۡرَ
g̣ayra
but
تَخۡسِيرٖ
takhseeer?
(in) loss
٦٣
11:64
وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wa-yaaq̣awmi
And O my people
هَٰذِهِۦ
haaẓihee
This
نَاقَةُ
naaq̣atul
she-camel
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(of) Allah
لَكُمۡ
lakum
(is) for you
ءَايَةٗۖ
ʹaayatañ
a Sign
فَذَرُوهَا
faẓaroohaa
so leave her
تَأۡكُلۡ
taʹkul
to eat
فِيٓ
feee
in
أَرۡضِ
ʹarḍil
the earth
ٱللَّهِۖ
laahi
(of) Allah
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَمَسُّوهَا
tamassoohaa
touch her
بِسُوٓءٖ
bisoooʹiñ
with harm
فَيَأۡخُذَكُمۡ
fayaʹkhuẓakum
lest will seize you
عَذَابٞ
ʻAẓaabuñ
a punishment
قَرِيبٞ
q̣areeb!
impending
٦٤
11:65
فَعَقَرُوهَا
Faʻaq̣aroohaa
But they hamstrung her
فَقَالَ
faq̣aala
So he said
تَمَتَّعُواْ
tamattaʻoo
Enjoy (yourselves)
فِي
fee
in
دَارِكُمۡ
daarikum
your home(s)
ثَلَٰثَةَ
s̤alaas̤ata
(for) three
أَيَّامٖۖ
ʹay-yaam:
days
ذَٰلِكَ
ẓaalika
That
وَعۡدٌ
waʻdun
(is) a promise
غَيۡرُ
g̣ayru
not
مَكۡذُوبٖ
makẓoob!
(to) be belied
٦٥
11:66
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
So when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
came
أَمۡرُنَا
ʹAmrunaa
Our command
نَجَّيۡنَا
najjaynaa
We saved
صَٰلِحٗا
Ṣaaliḥañw
Salih
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wal-laẓeena
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
with him
بِرَحۡمَةٖ
bi-Raḥmatim
by a Mercy
مِّنَّا
minnaa
from Us
وَمِنۡ
wa-min
and from
خِزۡيِ
khizyi
(the) disgrace
يَوۡمِئِذٍۚ
Yawmiʹiẓ.
(of) that Day
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ
Rabbaka
your Lord
هُوَ
Huwal
He
ٱلۡقَوِيُّ
Q̣awiyyul
(is) All-Strong
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
ʻAzeez.
All-Mighty
٦٦
11:67
وَأَخَذَ
Wa-ʹakhaẓal
And seized
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
z̤̣alamuṣ
wronged
ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ
Ṣayḥatu
the thunderous blast
فَأَصۡبَحُواْ
faʹaṣbaḥoo
then they became
فِي
fee
in
دِيَٰرِهِمۡ
diyaarihim
their homes
جَٰثِمِينَ
jaas̤imeen.
fallen prone
٦٧
11:68
كَأَن
Kaʹal
As if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَغۡنَوۡاْ
yag̣naw
they (had) prospered
فِيهَآۗ
feehaa.
therein
أَلَآ
ʹAlaaa
No doubt
إِنَّ
ʹinna
indeed
ثَمُودَاْ
S̤amooda
Thamud
كَفَرُواْ
kafaroo
disbelieved
رَبَّهُمۡۗ
Rabbahum!
(in) their Lord
أَلَا
ʹAlaa
so
بُعۡدٗا
buʻdal
away
لِّثَمُودَ
li-S̤amood.
with Thamud
٦٨
11:69
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
جَآءَتۡ
jaaaʹat
came
رُسُلُنَآ
Rusulunaaa
Our messengers
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
(to) Ibrahim
بِٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ
bilbushraa
with glad tidings
قَالُواْ
q̣aaloo
they said
سَلَٰمٗاۖ
Salaamaa!
Peace
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
سَلَٰمٞۖ
Salaamuñ
Peace
فَمَا
famaa
and not he delayed
لَبِثَ
labis̤a
and not he delayed
أَن
ʹañ
to
جَآءَ
jaaaʻa
bring
بِعِجۡلٍ
biʻijlin
a calf
حَنِيذٖ
ḥaneeẓ.
roasted
٦٩
11:70
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
But when
رَءَآ
raʹaaa
he saw
أَيۡدِيَهُمۡ
ʹaydiyahum
their hands
لَا
laa-
not
تَصِلُ
taṣilu
reaching
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayhi
to it
نَكِرَهُمۡ
nakirahum
he felt unfamiliar of them
وَأَوۡجَسَ
wa-ʹawjasa
and felt apprehension
مِنۡهُمۡ
minhum
from them
خِيفَةٗۚ
kheefah.
[a fear]
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
لَا
laa-
(Do) not
تَخَفۡ
takhaf
fear
إِنَّآ
ʹinnaaa
Indeed we
أُرۡسِلۡنَآ
ʹursilnaaa
[we] have been sent
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
to
قَوۡمِ
Q̣awmi
(the) people
لُوطٖ
Looṭ.
(of) Lut
٧٠
11:71
وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ
Wamraʹatuhoo
And his wife
قَآئِمَةٞ
q̣aaaʹimatuñ
(was) standing
فَضَحِكَتۡ
faḍaḥikat
and she laughed
فَبَشَّرۡنَٰهَا
fabashsharnaahaa
Then We gave her glad tidings
بِإِسۡحَٰقَ
biʹIsḥaaq̣a
of Isaac
وَمِن
wa-miñw
and after
وَرَآءِ
waraaaʹi
and after
إِسۡحَٰقَ
ʹIs-ḥaaq̣a
Isaac
يَعۡقُوبَ
Yaʻq̣oob.
(of) Yaqub

قَالَتۡ
Q̣aalat
She said
يَٰوَيۡلَتَىٰٓ
yaa-waylataaa
Woe to me
ءَأَلِدُ
ʹaʹalidu
Shall I bear a child
وَأَنَا۠
wa-ʹana
while I am
عَجُوزٞ
ʻajoozuñw
an old woman
وَهَٰذَا
Wahaaẓaa
and this
بَعۡلِي
baʻlee
my husband
شَيۡخًاۖ
shaykhaa?
(is) an old man
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
this
لَشَيۡءٌ
lashayʹun
(is) surely a thing
عَجِيبٞ
ʻajeeb!
amazing
٧٢
11:73
قَالُوٓاْ
Q̣aalooo
They said
أَتَعۡجَبِينَ
ʹataʻjabeena
Are you amazed
مِنۡ
min
at
أَمۡرِ
ʹAmril
(the) decree of Allah
ٱللَّهِۖ
laahi
(the) decree of Allah
رَحۡمَتُ
Raḥmatul
The Mercy of Allah
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
The Mercy of Allah
وَبَرَكَٰتُهُۥ
wa-Barakaatuhoo
and His blessings
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
(be) upon you
أَهۡلَ
ʹAhlal
people
ٱلۡبَيۡتِۚ
Bayt!
(of) the house
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹInnahoo
Indeed He
حَمِيدٞ
Ḥameedum
(is) All-Praiseworthy
مَّجِيدٞ
Majeed!
All-Glorious
٧٣
11:74
فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
And when
ذَهَبَ
ẓahaba
(had) gone away
عَنۡ
ʻan
from
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheemar
Ibrahim
ٱلرَّوۡعُ
rawʻu
the fright
وَجَآءَتۡهُ
wa-jaaaʹat
and had reached him
ٱلۡبُشۡرَىٰ
hul-bushraa
the glad tidings
يُجَٰدِلُنَا
yujaadilunaa
he argued with Us
فِي
fee
concerning
قَوۡمِ
Q̣awmi
the people
لُوطٍ
Looṭ.
of Lut
٧٤
11:75
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
ʹIbraaheema
Ibrahim
لَحَلِيمٌ
laḥaleemun
(was) certainly forbearing
أَوَّٰهٞ
ʹawwaahum
imploring
مُّنِيبٞ
muneeb.
and oft-returning
٧٥
11:76
يَٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُ
YaaaʹIbraaheemu
O Ibrahim
أَعۡرِضۡ
ʹaʻriḍ
Turn away
عَنۡ
ʻan
from
هَٰذَآۖ
haaẓaa.
this
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹInnahoo
Indeed it
قَدۡ
q̣ad
certainly
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
has come
أَمۡرُ
ʹamru
(the) Command
رَبِّكَۖ
Rabbik:
(of) your Lord
وَإِنَّهُمۡ
wa-ʹinnahum
and indeed [they]
ءَاتِيهِمۡ
ʹaateehim
(will) come (for) them
عَذَابٌ
ʻaẓaabun
a punishment
غَيۡرُ
g̣ayru
(which) cannot
مَرۡدُودٖ
mardood!
(be) repelled
٧٦
11:77
وَلَمَّا
Wa-lammaa
And when
جَآءَتۡ
jaaaʹat
came
رُسُلُنَا
Rusulunaa
Our messengers
لُوطٗا
Looṭañ
(to) Lut
سِيٓءَ
seeeʹa
he was distressed
بِهِمۡ
bihim
for them
وَضَاقَ
wa-ḍaaq̣a
and felt straitened
بِهِمۡ
bihim
for them
ذَرۡعٗا
ẓarʻañw
(and) uneasy
وَقَالَ
waq̣aala
and said
هَٰذَا
haaẓaa
This
يَوۡمٌ
yawmun
(is) a day
عَصِيبٞ
ʻaṣeeb.
distressful
٧٧
11:78
وَجَآءَهُۥ
Wa-jaaaʹahoo
And came (to) him
قَوۡمُهُۥ
q̣awmuhoo
his people
يُهۡرَعُونَ
yuhraʻoona
rushing
إِلَيۡهِ
ʹilayh.
to him
وَمِن
Wa-miñ
and before
قَبۡلُ
q̣ablu
and before
كَانُواْ
kaanoo
they (had) been
يَعۡمَلُونَ
yaʻmaloonas
doing
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِۚ
sayyiʹaat.
the evil deeds
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
haaaʹulaaaʹi
These
بَنَاتِي
banaatee
(are) my daughters
هُنَّ
hunna
they
أَطۡهَرُ
ʹaṭharu
(are) purer
لَكُمۡۖ
lakum
for you
فَٱتَّقُواْ
fattaq̣ul
So fear
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تُخۡزُونِ
tukhzooni
disgrace me
فِي
fee
concerning
ضَيۡفِيٓۖ
ḍayfee!
my guests
أَلَيۡسَ
ʹAlaysa
Is (there) not
مِنكُمۡ
miñkum
among you
رَجُلٞ
rajulur
a man
رَّشِيدٞ
rasheed?
right-minded
٧٨
11:79
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
لَقَدۡ
laq̣ad
Verily
عَلِمۡتَ
ʻalimta
you know
مَا
maa-
(that) not
لَنَا
lanaa
we have
فِي
fee
concerning
بَنَاتِكَ
banaatika
your daughters
مِنۡ
min
any
حَقّٖ

And indeed you
لَتَعۡلَمُ

surely know

نُرِيدُ

لَوۡ
law

أَنَّ
ʹanna

لِي
lee
I had
بِكُمۡ
bikum
over you
قُوَّةً
q̣uwwatan
power
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
ءَاوِيٓ
aaweee
I could take refuge
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
in
رُكۡنٖ
rukniñ
a support
شَدِيدٖ
shadeed.
strong

11:81
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
يَٰلُوطُ
Yaa-Looṭu
O Lut
إِنَّا
ʹinnaa
Indeed we
رُسُلُ
Rusulu
(are) messengers
رَبِّكَ
Rabbika
(of) your Lord
لَن
lañy
never
يَصِلُوٓاْ
yaṣilooo
they will reach
إِلَيۡكَۖ
ʹilayk:
you
فَأَسۡرِ
faʹasri
So travel
بِأَهۡلِكَ
biʹahlika
with your family
بِقِطۡعٖ
biq̣iṭʻim
in a part
مِّنَ
minal
of
ٱلَّيۡلِ
layli
the night
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (let) not
يَلۡتَفِتۡ
yaltafit
look back
مِنكُمۡ
miñkum
anyone of you
أَحَدٌ
ʹaḥadun
anyone of you
إِلَّا
ʹillam
except
ٱمۡرَأَتَكَۖ
raʹatak:
your wife
إِنَّهُۥ
ʹinnahoo
Indeed it
مُصِيبُهَا
muṣeebuhaa
will strike her
مَآ
maaa
what
أَصَابَهُمۡۚ
ʹaṣaabahum.
will strike them
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
مَوۡعِدَهُمُ
mawʻidahumuṣ
their appointed time
ٱلصُّبۡحُۚ
ṣubḥ.
(is) morning
أَلَيۡسَ
ʹAlaysaṣ
Is not
ٱلصُّبۡحُ
ṣubḥu
the morning
بِقَرِيبٖ
biq̣areeb?
near

فَلَمَّا
Falammaa
So when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
came
أَمۡرُنَا
ʹamrunaa
Our Command
جَعَلۡنَا
jaʻalnaa
We made
عَٰلِيَهَا
ʻaaliyahaa
its upside
سَافِلَهَا
saafilahaa
its downside
وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا
wa-ʹamṭarnaa
and We rained
عَلَيۡهَا
ʻalayhaa
upon them
حِجَارَةٗ
ḥijaaratam
stones
مِّن
miñ
of
سِجِّيلٖ
sijjeelim
baked clay
مَّنضُودٖ
mañḍood,―
(in) layers
٨٢
11:83
مُّسَوَّمَةً
Musawwamatan
Marked
عِندَ
ʻiñda
from
رَبِّكَۖ
Rabbik:
your Lord
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
هِيَ
hiya
it
مِنَ
minaz̤̣
(is) from
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
z̤̣aalimeena
the wrongdoers
بِبَعِيدٖ
bibaʻeed!
far
٨٣
11:84
۞وَإِلَىٰ
Wa-ʹilaa
And to
مَدۡيَنَ
Madyana
Madyan
أَخَاهُمۡ
ʹakhaahum
their brother
شُعَيۡبٗاۚ
Shuʻaybaa:
Shuaib
قَالَ
q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmiʻ
O my people
ٱعۡبُدُواْ
budul
Worship
ٱللَّهَ
laaha
Allah
مَا
maa-
not
لَكُم
lakum
(is) for you
مِّنۡ
min
any
إِلَٰهٍ
ʹilaahin
god
غَيۡرُهُۥۖ
g̣ayruh.
other than Him
وَلَا
Wa-laa
And (do) not
تَنقُصُواْ
tañq̣uṣul
decrease
ٱلۡمِكۡيَالَ
mikyaala
(from) the measure
وَٱلۡمِيزَانَۖ
walmeezaana
and the scale
إِنِّيٓ
ʹinneee
Indeed I
أَرَىٰكُم
ʹaraakum̃
see you
بِخَيۡرٖ
bikhayriñw
in prosperity
وَإِنِّيٓ
waʹinneee
but indeed I
أَخَافُ
ʹakhaafu
fear
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʻalaykum
for you
عَذَابَ
ʻaẓaaba
punishment
يَوۡمٖ
Yawmim
(of) a Day
مُّحِيطٖ
Muḥeeṭ.
all-encompassing
٨٤
11:85
وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wayaaq̣awmi
And O my people
أَوۡفُواْ
ʹawful
Give full
ٱلۡمِكۡيَالَ
mikyaala
measure
وَٱلۡمِيزَانَ
walmeezaana
and weight
بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ
bilq̣isṭi
in justice
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَبۡخَسُواْ
tabkhasun
deprive
ٱلنَّاسَ
naasa
the people
أَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ
ʹashyaaaʹahum
(of) their things
وَلَا
wa-laa
and (do) not
تَعۡثَوۡاْ
taʻs̤aw
act wickedly
فِي
fil
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
ʹarḍi
the earth
مُفۡسِدِينَ
mufsideen.
spreading corruption
٨٥
11:86
بَقِيَّتُ
Baq̣eeyatul
(What) remains
ٱللَّهِ
laahi
(from) Allah
خَيۡرٞ
khayrul
(is) best
لَّكُمۡ
lakum
for you
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُم
kuñtum
you are
مُّؤۡمِنِينَۚ
Muʹmineen!
believers
وَمَآ
Wa-maaa
And not
أَنَا۠
ʹana
I am
عَلَيۡكُم
ʻalaykum̃
over you
بِحَفِيظٖ
bi-Ḥafeez̤̣!
a guardian
٨٦
11:87
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
يَٰشُعَيۡبُ
yaa-Shuʻaybu
O Shuaib
أَصَلَوٰتُكَ
ʹaṣalaatuka
Does your prayer
تَأۡمُرُكَ
taʹmuruka
command you
أَن
ʹan
that
نَّتۡرُكَ
natruka
we leave
مَا
maa-
what
يَعۡبُدُ
yaʻbudu
worship
ءَابَآؤُنَآ
ʹaabaaaʹunaaa
our forefathers
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
أَن
ʹan
that
نَّفۡعَلَ
nafʻala
we do
فِيٓ
feee
concerning
أَمۡوَٰلِنَا
ʹamwaalinaa
our wealth
مَا
maa-
what
نَشَٰٓؤُاْۖ
nashaaaʹ?
we will
إِنَّكَ
ʹInnaka
Indeed you
لَأَنتَ
laʹañtal
surely you
ٱلۡحَلِيمُ
ḥaleemur
(are) the forbearing
ٱلرَّشِيدُ
Rasheed!
the right-minded
٨٧
11:88
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaaq̣awmi
O my people
أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ
ʹaraʹaytum
Do you see
إِن
ʹiñ
if
كُنتُ
kuñtu
I am
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
on
بَيِّنَةٖ
Bayyinatim
a clear evidence
مِّن
mir
from
رَّبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
وَرَزَقَنِي
wa-razaq̣anee
and He has provided me
مِنۡهُ
minhu
from Himself
رِزۡقًا
rizq̣an
a good provision
حَسَنٗاۚ
ḥasanaa?
a good provision
وَمَآ
Wa-maaa
And not
أُرِيدُ
ʹureedu
I intend
أَنۡ
ʹan
that
أُخَالِفَكُمۡ
ʹukhaalifakum
I differ from you
إِلَىٰ
ʹilaa
in
مَآ
maaa
what
أَنۡهَىٰكُمۡ
ʹanhaakum
I forbid you
عَنۡهُۚ
ʻanh.
from it
إِنۡ
ʹIn
Not
أُرِيدُ
ʹureedu
I intend
إِلَّا
ʹillal
except
ٱلۡإِصۡلَٰحَ
ʹiṣlaaḥa
the reform
مَا
mas
as much as I am able
ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُۚ
taṭaʻt;
as much as I am able
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
تَوۡفِيقِيٓ
tawfeeq̣eee
(is) my success
إِلَّا
ʹillaa
except
بِٱللَّهِۚ
billaah.
with Allah
عَلَيۡهِ
ʻAlayhi
Upon Him
تَوَكَّلۡتُ
tawakkaltu
I trust
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ʹilayhi
and to Him
أُنِيبُ
ʹuneeb.
I turn

وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wa-yaaq̣awmi
And O my people
لَا
laa-
(Let) not cause you to sin
يَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ
yajrimannakum
(Let) not cause you to sin
شِقَاقِيٓ
shiq̣aaq̣eee
my dissension
أَن
ʹañy
lest
يُصِيبَكُم
yuṣeebakum
befalls you
مِّثۡلُ
mis̤lu
similar
مَآ
maaa
(to) what
أَصَابَ
ʹaṣaaba
befell
قَوۡمَ
q̣awma
(the) people of Nuh
نُوحٍ
Nooḥin
(the) people of Nuh
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
قَوۡمَ
q̣awma
(the) people of Hud
هُودٍ
Hoodin
(the) people of Hud
أَوۡ
ʹaw
or
قَوۡمَ
q̣awma
people of Salih
صَٰلِحٖۚ
Ṣaaliḥ:
people of Salih
وَمَا
wa-maa
And not
قَوۡمُ
q̣awmu
(are the) people of Lut
لُوطٖ
Looṭim
(are the) people of Lut
مِّنكُم
miñkum̃
from you
بِبَعِيدٖ
bibaʻeed!
far off
٨٩
11:90
وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ
Wastag̣firoo
And ask forgiveness
رَبَّكُمۡ
Rabbakum
(of) your Lord
ثُمَّ
s̤ummaa
then
تُوبُوٓاْ
toobooo
turn in repentance
إِلَيۡهِۚ
ʹilayh:
to Him
إِنَّ
ʹinna
Indeed
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
رَحِيمٞ
Raḥeemuñw
(is) Most Merciful
وَدُودٞ
wadood.
Most Loving
٩٠
11:91
قَالُواْ
Q̣aaloo
They said
يَٰشُعَيۡبُ
yaa-Shuʻaybu
O Shuaib
مَا
maa-
Not
نَفۡقَهُ
nafq̣ahu
we understand
كَثِيرٗا
kas̤eeram
much
مِّمَّا
mimmaa
of what
تَقُولُ
taq̣oolu
you say
وَإِنَّا
wa-ʹinnaa
and indeed we
لَنَرَىٰكَ
lanaraaka
surely [we] see you
فِينَا
feenaa
among us
ضَعِيفٗاۖ
ḍaʻeefaa!
weak
وَلَوۡلَا
Wa-lawlaa
And if not
رَهۡطُكَ
rahṭuka
for your family
لَرَجَمۡنَٰكَۖ
larajamnaak!
surely we would have stoned you
وَمَآ
Wa-maaa
and you are not
أَنتَ
ʹañta
and you are not
عَلَيۡنَا
ʻalaynaa
against us
بِعَزِيزٖ
biʻazeez!
mighty
٩١
11:92
قَالَ
Q̣aala
He said
يَٰقَوۡمِ
yaa-q̣awmi
O my people
أَرَهۡطِيٓ
ʹarahṭeee
Is my family
أَعَزُّ
ʹaʻazzu
mightier
عَلَيۡكُم
ʻalaykum
on you
مِّنَ
minal
than
ٱللَّهِ
laah?
Allah
وَٱتَّخَذۡتُمُوهُ
Wattakhaẓtumoohu
And you have taken Him
وَرَآءَكُمۡ
waraaaʹakum
behind your
ظِهۡرِيًّاۖ
z̤̣ihriyyaa.
backs
إِنَّ
ʹInna
Indeed
رَبِّي
Rabbee
my Lord
بِمَا
bimaa
of what
تَعۡمَلُونَ
taʻmaloona
you do
مُحِيطٞ
Muḥeeṭ!
(is) All-Encompassing
٩٢
11:93
وَيَٰقَوۡمِ
Wa-yaaq̣awmiʻ
And O my people
ٱعۡمَلُواْ
maloo
Work
عَلَىٰ
ʻalaa
(according) to
مَكَانَتِكُمۡ
makaanatikum
your position
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
indeed I am
عَٰمِلٞۖ
ʻaamil:
working
سَوۡفَ
sawfa
Soon
تَعۡلَمُونَ
taʻlamoona
you will know
مَن
mañy
(on) whom
يَأۡتِيهِ
yaʹteehi
will come
عَذَابٞ
ʻaẓaabuñy
a punishment
يُخۡزِيهِ
yukhzeehi
(that will) disgrace him
وَمَنۡ
wa-man
and who
هُوَ
huwa
[he]
كَٰذِبٞۖ
kaaẓib!
(is) a liar
وَٱرۡتَقِبُوٓاْ
Wartaq̣ibooo
And watch
إِنِّي
ʹinnee
indeed I am
مَعَكُمۡ
maʻakum
with you
رَقِيبٞ
raq̣eeb.
a watcher
٩٣
11:94
وَلَمَّا
Wa-lammaa
And when
جَآءَ
jaaaʹa
came
أَمۡرُنَا
ʹamrunaa
Our Command
نَجَّيۡنَا
najjaynaa
We saved
شُعَيۡبٗا
Shuʻaybañw
Shuaib
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wal-laẓeena
and those who
ءَامَنُواْ
ʹaamanoo
believed
مَعَهُۥ
maʻahoo
with him
بِرَحۡمَةٖ
bi-Raḥmatim
by a Mercy
مِّنَّا
minnaa
from Us
وَأَخَذَتِ
wa-ʹakhaẓatil
And seized
ٱلَّذِينَ
laẓeena
those who
ظَلَمُواْ
z̤̣alamuṣ
wronged
ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ
Ṣayhatu
the thunderous blast
فَأَصۡبَحُواْ
faʹaṣbaḥoo
then they became
فِي
fee
in
دِيَٰرِهِمۡ
diyaarihim
their homes
جَٰثِمِينَ
jaas̤imeen,―
fallen prone
٩٤
11:95
كَأَن
Kaʹal
As if
لَّمۡ
lam
not
يَغۡنَوۡاْ
yag̣naw
they (had) prospered
فِيهَآۗ
feehaa!
therein
أَلَا
ʹAlaa
So
بُعۡدٗا
buʻdal
away
لِّمَدۡيَنَ
li-Madyana
with Madyan
كَمَا
kamaa
as
بَعِدَتۡ
baʻidat
was taken away
ثَمُودُ
S̤amood!
the Thamud
٩٥
11:96
وَلَقَدۡ
Wa-laq̣ad
And certainly
أَرۡسَلۡنَا
ʹarsalnaa
We sent
مُوسَىٰ
Moosaa
Musa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
biʹAayaatinaa
with Our Signs
وَسُلۡطَٰنٖ
wa-sulṭaanim
and an authority
مُّبِينٍ
mubeen.

إِلَىٰ
ʹIlaa
To
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
firʻawna
Firaun
وَمَلَإِيْهِۦ
wa-malaʹihee
and his chiefs
فَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ
fattabaʻooo
but they followed
أَمۡرَ
ʹamra
(the) command of Firaun
فِرۡعَوۡنَۖ
Firʻawna,
(the) command of Firaun
وَمَآ
wa-maaa
and not
أَمۡرُ
ʹamru
(the) command of Firaun
فِرۡعَوۡنَ
Firʻawna
(the) command of Firaun
بِرَشِيدٖ
bi-Rasheed.

Yaq̣dumu
He will precede
قَوۡمَهُۥ
q̣awmahoo
his people
يَوۡمَ
Yawmal
(on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ
Q̣iyaamati
(of) the Resurrection
فَأَوۡرَدَهُمُ
faʹawradahumun
and lead them
ٱلنَّارَۖ
Naar:
(into) the Fire
وَبِئۡسَ
wa-biʹsal
And wretched
ٱلۡوِرۡدُ
wirdul
(is) the place
ٱلۡمَوۡرُودُ
mawrood!
to which (they are) led
٩٨
11:99
وَأُتۡبِعُواْ
Wa-ʹutbiʻoo
And they were followed
فِي
fee
in
هَٰذِهِۦ
haaẓihee
this
لَعۡنَةٗ
laʻnatañw
(by) a curse
وَيَوۡمَ
wa-Yawmal
and (on the) Day
ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِۚ
Q̣iyaamah:
(of) the Resurrection
بِئۡسَ
biʹsar
Wretched
ٱلرِّفۡدُ
rifdul
(is) the gift
ٱلۡمَرۡفُودُ
marfood!
which (will) be given
٩٩
11:100
ذَٰلِكَ
Ẓaalika
That
مِنۡ
min
(is) from
أَنۢبَآءِ
ʹambaaaʹil
(the) news
ٱلۡقُرَىٰ
q̣uraa
(of) the cities
نَقُصُّهُۥ
naq̣uṣṣuhoo
(which) We relate
عَلَيۡكَۖ
ʻalayka
to you
مِنۡهَا
minhaa
of them
قَآئِمٞ
q̣aaaʹimuñw
some are standing
وَحَصِيدٞ
waḥaṣeed.
and (some) mown
١٠٠
