the Eternal the Absolute

God the eternal

Not
يَلِدۡ

He begets
وَلَمۡ
walam
and not
يُولَدۡ
yulad
He is begotten
٣
He begot no one nor was He begotten

وَلَمۡ

And not
يَكُن
yakun
is
لَّهُۥ
lahu
for Him
كُفُوًا
kufuwan
equivalent
أَحَدُۢ
ahadun
any [one]
٤
No one is comparable to Him.’

أَعُوذُ
a'udhu
I seek refuge
بِرَبِّ
birabbi
in (the) Lord
ٱلۡفَلَقِ
al-falaqi
(of) the dawn

Say [Prophet], ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak

(of) darkness
إِذَا

وَقَبَ
waqaba
it spreads
٣
the harm in the night when darkness gathers

وَمِن
wamin
And from
شَرِّ
sharri
(the) evil
ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ
al-nafathati
(of) the blowers
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡعُقَدِ
al-'uqadi
the knots
٤
the harm in witches when they blow on knots

وَمِن
wamin
And from
شَرِّ
sharri
(the) evil
حَاسِدٍ
hasidin
(of) an envier
إِذَا
idha
when
حَسَدَ
hasada
he envies
٥
the harm in the envier when he envies.’

أَعُوذُ
a'udhu
I seek refuge
بِرَبِّ
birabbi
in (the) Lord
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) mankind

Say, ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of people

al-nasi

the Controller of people

شَرِّ

ٱلۡوَسۡوَاسِ
al-waswasi
(of) the whisperer
ٱلۡخَنَّاسِ
al-khanasi
the one who withdraws

against the harm of the slinking whisperer––

ٱلَّذِي
alladhi
The one who
يُوَسۡوِسُ
yuwaswisu
whispers
فِي
fi
in
صُدُورِ
suduri
(the) breasts
ٱلنَّاسِ
al-nasi
(of) mankind
٥
who whispers into the hearts of people––

مِنَ
mina
From
ٱلۡجِنَّةِ
al-jinati
the jinn
وَٱلنَّاسِ
wal-nasi
and men
٦
whether they be jinn or people.’
