28:83
تِلۡكَ
til'ka
That
ٱلدَّارُ
al-daru
the Home
ٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ
al-akhiratu
(of) the Hereafter
نَجۡعَلُهَا
naj'aluha
We assign it
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhina
to those who
لَا
la
(do) not
يُرِيدُونَ
yuriduna
desire
عُلُوّٗا
uluwwan
exaltedness
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
al-ardi
the earth
وَلَا
wala
and not
فَسَادٗاۚ
fasadan
corruption
وَٱلۡعَٰقِبَةُ
wal-'aqibatu
And the good end
لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
lil'muttaqina
(is) for the righteous
٨٣

We grant the Home in the Hereafter to those who do not seek superiority on earth or spread corruption: the happy ending is awarded to those who are mindful of God

Translation 1260

28:84
مَن
man
Whoever
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ
bil-hasanati
with a good (deed)
فَلَهُۥ
falahu
then for him
خَيۡرٞ
khayrun
(will be) better
مِّنۡهَاۖ
min'ha
than it
وَمَن
waman
and whoever
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
bil-sayi-ati
with an evil (deed)
فَلَا
fala
then not
يُجۡزَى
yuj'za
will be recompensed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
عَمِلُواْ
amilu
do
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
al-sayiati
the evil (deeds)
إِلَّا
illa
except
مَا
ma
what
كَانُواْ
kanu
they used (to)
يَعۡمَلُونَ
ya'maluna
do
٨٤

Whoever comes before God with a good deed will receive a better reward; whoever comes with an evil deed will be punished only for what he has done

إِنَّ

ٱلَّذِي

He Who
فَرَضَ

ordained
عَلَيۡكَ
alayka
upon you
ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
al-qur'ana
the Quran
لَرَآدُّكَ
laradduka
(will) surely take you back
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
مَعَادٖۚ
ma'adin
a place of return
قُل
qul
Say
رَّبِّيٓ
rabbi
My Lord
أَعۡلَمُ
a'lamu
(is) most knowing
مَن
man
(of him) who
جَآءَ
jaa
comes
بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ
bil-huda
with the guidance
وَمَنۡ
waman
and who
هُوَ
huwa
he
فِي
fi
(is) in
ضَلَٰلٖ
dalalin
an error
مُّبِينٖ
mubinin
manifest
٨٥

He who has made the Quran binding on you [Prophet] will bring you back home. So say, ‘My Lord knows best who has brought true guidance and who is blatantly astray.’

Translation 1260

28:86
وَمَا
wama
And not
كُنتَ
kunta
you were
تَرۡجُوٓاْ
tarju
expecting
أَن
an
that
يُلۡقَىٰٓ
yul'qa
would be sent down
إِلَيۡكَ
ilayka
to you
ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ
al-kitabu
the Book
إِلَّا
illa
except
رَحۡمَةٗ
rahmatan
(as) a mercy
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّكَۖ
rabbika
your Lord
فَلَا
fala
So (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takunanna
be
ظَهِيرٗا
zahiran
an assistant
لِّلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
lil'kafirina
to the disbelievers
٨٦

You yourself could not have expected the Scripture to be sent to you; it came only as a mercy from your Lord. So give no help to the disbelievers

Translation 1260

28:87
وَلَا
wala
And (let) not
يَصُدُّنَّكَ
yasuddunnaka
avert you
عَنۡ
an
from
ءَايَٰتِ
ayati
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
(of) Allah
بَعۡدَ
ba'da
after
إِذۡ
idh
[when]
أُنزِلَتۡ
unzilat
they have been revealed
إِلَيۡكَۖ
ilayka
to you
وَٱدۡعُ
wa-ud'u
And invite (people)
إِلَىٰ
ila
to
رَبِّكَۖ
rabbika
your Lord
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَكُونَنَّ
takunanna
be
مِنَ
mina
of
ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
al-mush'rikina
the polytheists
٨٧

Do not let them turn you away from God’s revelations after they have been revealed to you. Call people to your Lord. Never become one of those who ascribe partners to God

Translation 1260

28:88
وَلَا
wala
And (do) not
تَدۡعُ

مَعَ

ٱللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
إِلَٰهًا
ilahan

ءَاخَرَۘ

لَآ

(There is) no
إِلَٰهَ
ilaha
god
إِلَّا

except
هُوَۚ
huwa
Him
كُلُّ
kullu
Every
شَيۡءٍ
shayin
thing
هَالِكٌ
halikun
(will be) destroyed
إِلَّا
illa
except
وَجۡهَهُۥۚ
wajhahu
His Face
لَهُ
lahu
To Him
ٱلۡحُكۡمُ
al-huk'mu
(is) the Decision
وَإِلَيۡهِ
wa-ilayhi
and to Him
تُرۡجَعُونَ
tur'ja'una
you will be returned
٨٨

Do not call out to any other god beside God, for there is no god but Him. Everything will perish except His Face. His is the Judgement and to Him you shall all be brought back
