(the) Day of Judgment
مِيقَٰتُهُمۡ
miqatuhum
(is) an appointed term for them
أَجۡمَعِينَ

The Day of Decision is the time appointed for all

يَوۡمَ

(The) Day
لَا

not
يُغۡنِي
yugh'ni
will avail
مَوۡلًى
mawlan
a relation
عَن
an
for
مَّوۡلٗى
mawlan
a relation
شَيۡـٔٗا
shayan
anything
وَلَا
wala
and not
هُمۡ
hum
they
يُنصَرُونَ
yunsaruna
will be helped
٤١
a Day when no friend can take another’s place

44:42
إِلَّا
illa
Except
مَن
man
(on) whom
رَّحِمَ
rahima
Allah has mercy
ٱللَّهُۚ
al-lahu
Allah has mercy
إِنَّهُۥ
innahu
Indeed He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
al-rahimu
the Most Merciful
٤٢
No one will receive any help except for those to whom God shows mercy: He is the Mighty, the Merciful Lord

Indeed
شَجَرَتَ
shajarata
(the) tree
ٱلزَّقُّومِ
al-zaqumi
(of) Zaqqum
٤٣
The tree of Zaqqum

طَعَامُ
ta'amu
(Will be) food
ٱلۡأَثِيمِ
al-athimi
(of) the sinner(s)
٤٤
will be food for the sinners

كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ
kal-muh'li
Like the murky oil
يَغۡلِي
yaghli
it will boil
فِي
fi
in
ٱلۡبُطُونِ
al-butuni
the bellies
٤٥
[hot] as molten metal, it boils in their bellies

كَغَلۡيِ
kaghalyi
Like boiling
ٱلۡحَمِيمِ
al-hamimi
(of) scalding water
٤٦
like seething water

44:47
خُذُوهُ
khudhuhu
Seize him
فَٱعۡتِلُوهُ
fa-i'tiluhu
and drag him
إِلَىٰ
ila
into
سَوَآءِ
sawai
(the) midst
ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
al-jahimi
(of) the Hellfire
٤٧
‘Take him! Thrust him into the depths of Hell

44:48
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
صُبُّواْ
subbu
pour
فَوۡقَ
fawqa
over
رَأۡسِهِۦ
rasihi
his head
مِنۡ
min
of
عَذَابِ
adhabi
(the) punishment
ٱلۡحَمِيمِ
al-hamimi
(of) the scalding water
٤٨
Pour scalding water over his head as punishment!’

44:49
ذُقۡ
dhuq
Taste
إِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed you
أَنتَ
anta
[you] (were)
ٱلۡعَزِيزُ
al-'azizu
the mighty
ٱلۡكَرِيمُ
al-karimu
the noble
٤٩
‘Taste this, you powerful, respected man

44:50
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
هَٰذَا
hadha
this
مَا
ma
(is) what
كُنتُم
kuntum
you used to
بِهِۦ
bihi
[about it]
تَمۡتَرُونَ
tamtaruna
doubt
٥٠
This is what you doubted.’

44:51
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ
al-mutaqina
the righteous
فِي
fi
(will be) in
مَقَامٍ
maqamin
a place
أَمِينٖ
aminin
secure
٥١
But those mindful of God will be in a safe place

فِي

In
جَنَّٰتٖ
jannatin
gardens
وَعُيُونٖ
wa'uyunin
and springs
٥٢
amid Gardens and springs

44:53
يَلۡبَسُونَ
yalbasuna
Wearing garments
مِن
min
of
سُندُسٖ
sundusin
fine silk
وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقٖ
wa-is'tabraqin
and heavy silk
مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
mutaqabilina
facing each other
٥٣
clothed in silk and fine brocade, facing one another

44:54
كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhalika
Thus
وَزَوَّجۡنَٰهُم
wazawwajnahum
And We will marry them
بِحُورٍ
bihurin
(to) companions with beautiful eyes
عِينٖ
inin
(to) companions with beautiful eyes
٥٤
so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes

44:55
يَدۡعُونَ
yad'una
They will call
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
for every (kind)
فَٰكِهَةٍ
fakihatin
(of) fruit
ءَامِنِينَ
aminina
secure
٥٥
Secure and contented, they will call for every kind of fruit

لَا
la
Not
يَذُوقُونَ
yadhuquna
they will taste
فِيهَا
fiha
therein
ٱلۡمَوۡتَ
al-mawta
the death
إِلَّا
illa
except
ٱلۡمَوۡتَةَ
al-mawtata
the death
ٱلۡأُولَىٰۖ
al-ula
the first
وَوَقَىٰهُمۡ
wawaqahum
And He will protect them
عَذَابَ
adhaba
(from the) punishment
ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
al-jahimi
(of) the Hellfire
٥٦
After the one death they will taste death no more. God will guard them from the torment of Hell

44:57
فَضۡلٗا
fadlan
A Bounty
مِّن
min
from
رَّبِّكَۚ
rabbika
your Lord
ذَٰلِكَ
dhalika
That
هُوَ
huwa
it
ٱلۡفَوۡزُ
al-fawzu
(will be) the success
ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
al-'azimu
the great
٥٧
a bounty from your Lord. That is the supreme triumph

44:58
فَإِنَّمَا
fa-innama
Indeed
يَسَّرۡنَٰهُ
yassarnahu
We have made it easy
بِلِسَانِكَ
bilisanika
in your tongue
لَعَلَّهُمۡ
la'allahum
so that they may
يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
yatadhakkaruna
take heed
٥٨
We have made this Quran easy to understand- in your own language [Prophet]- so that they may take heed

44:59
فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ
fa-ir'taqib
So watch
إِنَّهُم
innahum
indeed they
مُّرۡتَقِبُونَ
mur'taqibuna
(too are) watching
٥٩
So wait; the disbelievers too are waiting
