O my Lord, I have slept in your name. You forgive my sins.
Note
When the Prophet ﷺ lay down to sleep, he would say these words. This is told to us by Abdullah Ibn Amr (RA).
Before you sleep, say this dua. It puts your heart with Allah. You ask Him to forgive you and protect your soul. Your night becomes safe in His name.
Say Bismika Rabbi wada'tu janbi. The Prophet ﷺ taught this masnoon dua. It asks for safety and forgiveness right before your eyes close at night.
Say it the moment you lie down. Best to make it your last words before sleep comes.
It means: In Your Name my Lord. You are showing Allah that you rest only because He allows it. You trust Him with everything.
Yes. This sleeping dua has faghfir lee - it means forgive me. A perfect way to erase the day's sins before you rest.
Once is enough if your heart means it. What matters: be sincere when you ask Allah for peace and forgiveness.
It guards you from bad dreams. Your soul stays safe. You wake up feeling good because Allah was in your last thoughts.
Yes. Authentic Hadith sources confirm it. The Prophet ﷺ himself said Bismika Rabbi to get Allah's help and forgiveness before sleeping.
