اَللَّهُمَّ لَا طَيْرَ إِلاَّ طَيْرُكَ، وَلَا خَيْرَ إِلَّا خَيْرُكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ
Transliteration
Allaahumma laa tayra illaa tayruka, wa laa khayra illaa khayruka, wa laa ilaaha ghayruk
Translation
O Allah, there is no omen but there is reliance on You, there is no good except Your good and none has the right to be worshipped except You.
Note
Ibn Umar (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) told the Companions: When you have such a thought, say these words.
A common protection dua is Allahumma inna naj'aluka fi nuhoorihim wa na'udhu bika min shuroorihim. This asks Allah to shield you from evil and harm.
Do not make dua against someone. Be patient and forgive. Islam teaches us to want good for others. The Prophet said to love for others what we love for ourselves.
Say Rabbi 'a`outhubika min hamazaatish-shayaateeni, wa 'a`outhu bika rabbi 'ay-yahdhuroon. This asks Allah to protect you from evil eye and shayatin. It gives strong safety.
Say allahumma laa tayra illaa tayruka, wa laa khayra illaa khayruka, wa laa ilaaha ghayruk. This asks Allah to protect you from evil portents. Only His good reaches you.
Say the 3 Quls: Surah Naas, Surah Falaq, and Surah Ikhlaas. These quranic duas protect you from evil people and harm every day.
