Note
Giving salaam to everyone is sunnah. Saying salaam to your wife and family gets extra rewards. Abu Umama (RA) said Rasoolullah (ﷺ) said, "Allah protects three kinds of people. If he lives, Allah guards all his matters. If he dies, he enters Jannah. (First one is) He who gives salaam before entering the house..."
Say this greeting before you walk in. It brings big Barakah and keeps your home peaceful. Shaytan cannot stay the night with you.
Say the full Salam. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) taught us assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh to bring blessings to our family.
It means Peace be upon you. When you add wa rahmatullah, you ask for Allah's mercy and blessings on that person or house.
To keep Shaytan out. If you enter without Allah's name or Salam, the devil thinks he can stay with you.
Yes. Say salam alaikum even if the house is empty. It is a greeting to the angels and brings peace to the house itself.
Yes. When leaving, say Bismillahi tawakkaltu alallah. When entering, say assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Say it loud enough for people inside to hear. If you have a key, say it as you step through the door.
Hadith says it brings Barakah. It may not bring cash, but blessings make what you have last longer.
