Narrated Salim: Ibn `Umar used to do Rami of the Jamrat-ud-Dunya (the Jamra near to the Khaif mosque) with seven small stones and used to recite Takbir on throwing every pebble. He then would go ahead till he reached the level ground where he would stand facing the Qibla for a long time to invoke (Allah) while raising his hands (while invoking). Then he would do Rami of the Jamrat-ul-Wusta (middle Jamra) and then he would go to the left towards the middle ground, where he would stand facing the Qibla. He would remain standing there for a long period to invoke (Allah) while raising his hands, and would stand there for a long period. Then he would do Rami of the Jamrat-ul-Aqaba from the middle of the valley, but he would not stay by it, and then he would leave and say, "I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) doing like this." [Bukhari: 1751]
At the jamarat in hajj, say Allahu Akbar. Your heart grows stronger. Every Muslim follows the sunnah while doing the stoning of the devil.
After stoning each jamarat in hajj on the last three days, turn to the Qibla and make dua. Step away from the crowd. Face the big Jamarah and pray quietly.
Throw seven pebbles at the biggest pillar. Say allahu akbar with each one. Stay calm, face the pillar, and repeat takbir every time you throw.
Stone the small jamarat first. Then walk forward and raise your hands in dua. After each stoning, praise Allah and send blessings on the Prophet. This completes the hajj rituals.
On Eid, leave Muzdalifah and throw seven pebbles at jamarat. Say takbeer each time. Stop saying Talbiyah. Keep walking to help other pilgrims.
Pilgrims throw pebbles at pillars during hajj. This shows they say no to evil and yes to Allah. Stoning of the devil at jamarat in hajj honors Prophet Ibrahim. It shows faith in Allah akbar.
