Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting." The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), 'He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times." [Bukhari: 1894]
When someone insults you, this Ramadan dua keeps you calm and patient. It reminds your heart to hold sabr and follow the sunnah of fasting in Islam.
Say I am fasting. This is taught in the hadith about fasting. It keeps your fast safe and shows patience in islam. Don't reply to the insult.
No, insulting others does not break your fast. But it can lower your reward. Fasting rules say Muslims must control bad words and actions. This keeps the fast pure for Allah.
No, misbehaving does not break the fast. But it can take away its value. Fasting in islam is more than avoiding food. It's also about good manners, patience, and staying away from bad behavior.
Say: Rabbi ighfir li wa tub 'alayya innaka anta at-Tawwab ar-Raheem. This is the dua for forgiveness. You can say it with other duas from quran during fasting.
Rizq in islam means everything Allah gives us - food, health, family, and blessings. Islamic prayers often thank Allah for His rizq. We ask for more of His kindness every day.
