اَللَّهُ أَحَدٌ، اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ، لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ، وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Transliteration
Allahu 'Ahad. Allahus-Samad. Lam yalid wa lam yoolad. Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan 'ahad
Translation
He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْفَضْلِ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي تَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ " فَإِذَا قَالُوا ذَلِكَ فَقُولُوا { اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ * اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ * لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ * وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ } ثُمَّ لْيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلاَثًا وَلْيَسْتَعِذْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ " .
Translation
Narrated AbuHurayrah: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: He then mentioned a tradition like it. This version adds: When they propound that, say: "Say Allah is one. Allah is He to Whom men repair. He has not begotten and He has not been begotten, and no one is equal to Him." Then one should spit three times on his left side and seek refuge in Allah from Satan. Say Surah Ikhlas to keep your heart safe. Shaytan's whispers will stay away. Allah's mercy and safety will come into your life.
Say surah ikhlas and remember Allah every day. This is how Muslims ask for safety from bad whispers and stay protected.
It means Say He is Allah, the One. These words are in surah ikhlas. Muslims say them to stay safe from evil and Shaytan.
Say Allahumma aa-li-mal-ghai-bi. Also read surah ikhlas and surah falaq. Ask Allah to help you fight Shaytan and keep you safe.
Read surah ikhlas, surah al ikhlas, and surah baqarah. These are strong surahs. Muslims read them at home to keep Shaytan far.
It means He is Allah, the One and Only. Surah ikhlas has these words. They remind us: only Allah can help us. This is a big part of safety duas.
